Rudy, Juan and Pedro were incredible in helping us move in 2.5 hours. All of our furniture and delicate items were packed and moved with care. The unpacking was also carefully done without any breakage. I requested them for our final move where they will trash, donate and shred the final items. What! I cannot believe the 4-5 star reviews here. HH moved us from Aliso Viejo to Mission Viejo June 2024. It was the 5th time we used them and what a180 degree difference from the 1st time moving us from Henderson, NV, to Aliso Viejo in May 2008. John Owens, the PREVIOUS owner personally came to NV to pack and load our belongings into the truck. He even stored our belongings and furniture overnight in a warehouse at no charge. The move in June 2024 was a HUGE Joke. The New Owner Raoul sent 5 men plus himself to our 1,250 sq. ft. apartment to pack and move. It was TOTAL CHAOS ... "too many hands in the pot" so that the boxes were not properly labeled and then arriving at our new apartment, the contents of over 1/2 of the boxes ended up in places where they did not belong. Worse still, they unpacked some of our stuff and, not knowing where those things should go, they piled them in a corner in our second bedroom. Of course, we called the owner to send his men back and move those things to where they belonged. One of them came in with a Real Attitude: "You know this is costing us money." Yea, Guys, if you had done you job correctly the first time, you wouldn't have to come back AND waste OUR TIME. read more

They diligently worked to pack the items from my Mother's 2 bedroom condo, moved, and set them up in her 1 bedroom apartment. That way, she would have everything she needed done first. 9am the next day they packed the remaining items and her garage. All items were delivered to a storage unit. This week our family moved my wife's 95 year old mother to Merrill Gardens, an assisted living facility in Huntington Beach. The staff at Merrill Gardens recommended that we use the Helping Hands team to assist us with the move and we were VERY GLAD that they did! This team specializes in this type of move. Top to bottom, the Helping Hands team was professional, courteous, empathetic, and efficient. The process started with John Owings, the owner of Helping Hands, coming to the house to survey the scope of the job and provide an estimate. He quickly sized up the situation and recommended things our family could do to reduce cost and time. The estimate was very reasonable and we immediately concluded that we could trust John and his team to handle the process. After A LOT of downsizing decisions, donations and gifts, we took John's advice and began moving smaller items, clothes, etc. to the Merrill Gardens facility. We then turned the job over to Helping Hands to handle the furniture move. The actual move was entrusted to Raul and Rudy and we could not have been in better hands! These guys are real pros. They arrived on time and worked efficiently to safeguard the items to be moved and transport them to the moving van. They accomplished the packing and loading in about an hour. During the process, they both were very communicative, open to suggestions, and very patient with us. We trusted these guys immediately. On the back end, they cheerfully and efficiently unloaded and transported the items to the third floor of the facility. When unpacking, they took extra care to protect the furniture and other items and worked with us on the precise location of each item, sometimes moving stuff around several times, always with a smile. They even offered to hang pictures and hook up electronics. They caught things themselves that we did not even notice. Fragile items were given extra attention. Moving is always a stressful situation but Raul and Rudy did everything in their power to make the process painless for the family. These guys were Fantastic. My parents were moving about 2 or 3 miles. They had a two bedroom, 1200 square ft place, moving into a. bedroom and a den 1000 Square ft place. They arrived, inquired what goes, what stays, asked about any special concerns we had, then they went to work. And work they did. 3 hours to pack everything we wanted into their trucks, then they took off heading to lunch then the new place. We arrived at the new place, opened the apartment for them, then we went to lunch. While we were at lunch, they arrived and started putting things away. An hour and a half later they had put enough away for us to take our time to do the rest. He showed us the bill and I thought it was an exceptional rate for the work they did. Nothing was scratched, broken, bent, or otherwise not in the condition they packed it in. Every employee packing was friendly and worked hard but not fast, they made sure everything was packed or padded appropriately for the trip. A truly great bunch of people to work with. What a great crew! They showed up on time, with everything they needed and more. They greeted us warmly on arrival, then did a thorough walk-thru of everything, asking questions, taking pictures, and listening to our concerns and special instructions. Then the move began, and it went so fast and smoothly, it was like poetry in motion. Everyone on the crew was cheerful and gracious. They took incredible care of the thousands of little things, packing and protecting things, and efficiently organizing everything. When they arrived at the destination, the crew pulled out their cell phones and reviewed the pictures they had snapped at the old place to remind them of how things were organized, and proceeded to put the whole household of goods and furniture back together as closely to as it was as possible. Everything arrived perfectly and amazingly, given how little preparation we had done in advance, they finished the move well under the time they had originally estimated. Our dear mother passed away recently. She lived @ Freedom Village (FV). For completely understandable reasons (due to Covid) FV had very strict guidelines for moving out our mothers lifetime treasures. NO ONE was taking donations. We finally decided to move most of moms things to our garage and put them on free-space. The 3 Helping Hands guys (John, Raul & Imo) were very respectful. This company stole jewelry from my elderly mother! John's crew helped my mother move from one unit to another at Reatta Glen in Rancho Mission Viejo on February 9, 2023. My mother is 85 years old and had heard good things about the company. During the move one of the movers told my mom he had opened her jewelry drawer and "secured" some loose items (?) They had wrapped the entire dresser without removing the drawers so why he felt he needed to open the top drawer is a mystery. When the job was complete my mom noticed many items missing from the drawer. When she asked the crew they said they didn't touch anything acting very defensively. She thought maybe the items had fallen to the back but she needed help checking. After 4 people took the entire dresser apart the jewelry is gone. Two diamond necklaces, one emerald necklace, 4 gold bangle bracelets, most of her gold earrings. After calling the police, making a report and gathering the appraisals for the missing items the owner has dissappreared! He will not return phone calls, both Reatta Glen, my mother and I have tried to call, no response at all. The items appraisal at over $10,000, my mother is devestated, most items were given to her by my late stepfather. Now we are in the game of were us John Owings, the owner refuses to address the issue. I would not trust Helping Hands to help me down a sidewalk let alone my private items. read more

I arranged a small move of my mom's 1BR apt at a senior housing place in Laguna Woods, CA (about 10 pieces of furniture and 15 boxes). The customer service was outstanding, from the phone calls, coordination, and move. The office called to verify place and time the day before, the movers called before arriving (early by request), wore masks, were courteous, efficient, and even returned a lost ring that fell out of a dresser while loading it in the truck. I had warned my mother about how movers are generally in a hurry to just get the job done, but these guys proved me wrong. They were fantastic!
