We used Helping Hands Relocation to move our Dad from one assisted living facility to another. From the first contact, they were very professional. On the day of the move, they arrived on time, were polite and professional, and worked diligently and with care throughout the move. This is really the "full service" move you want in this type of circumstance. They removed and reinstalled the TVs that are hung on the wall. When they plugged in the clock radio in the new apartment, they set the time. In essence, they took all the steps necessary so that an elderly person would immediately feel at home and comfortable with their belongings in their new apartment. My family just used this company to move both my grandmother and her significant other from their separate apartments into a senior living facility in Yorba Linda. I would give them 10 stars if I had the option. They were extremely professional and friendly and made the entire experience so much easier on all of us. They new exactly what to do and made sure all of the personal belongings fit into my grandparents new space and that things looked almost identical to their old space (which is very comforting to those in their 90's that aren't overjoyed to be moving into assisted living). They were very reasonably priced and final charges stayed within the original estimate provided to us. I used Helping hands once before and they did a good job moving my mom into Villa Valencia. so this time, she was moving 4 miles into a board and care and i only needed to move 2 pieces- a lazy-boy chair and a dresser. When i booked it, I told them it would take them less than hour. The mistake I made was not getting a quote. They charged me a 3 hr min. or $450 for a job that took them 45 min. The person on the phone told me they always quote a minimum when you call and book and i told her she did not. 4 times i called and john (owner-manager) was supposed to call me back. He never did. VERY unprofessional rip-off artist. Do not use. read more

This company is excellent!! They arrived early, with not one, but two trucks. I moved an entire household into a duplex, including about 40 boxes of books, not to mention a ton of boxes, furniture and other items to be stored in the garage. There was a team of six, along with the owner. Although it took two trips with both trucks, the move was completed by 6:00 p.m. They treated my belongings like they were their own. Packed my art carefully and put everything in place in my new home, including unloading the clothing and putting it in the closets. They even moved my piano and placed it centered on the wall! The guys were very professional, very polite and they worked extremely well together! These folks are amazing! Moved my mother's belongings in UNDER three hours!! They arrived, started loading the truck (boxes were all ready), asked appropriate questions, drove to the new place and unloaded, then re-arranged furniture as I needed. I was very apprehensive, but as it turned out -- no nicks, nothing damaged, no problems whatsoever!! They were very careful and treated breakables with extra care. Oh my gosh! This was the BEST experience ever. Having to move our Mom into assisted living a few months after my father's passing was one of the hardest things ever. I'm not sure which location helped me, but I was fortunate to speak with the owner, John, who was indeed very helpful, charming, relatable, calmed my nerves by his casual and respectful way he spoke with me about moving my friend to Brookdale Senior Living community. But, this was just prior to NY Eve! John was cool, confident, assuring me that all would go smoothly even though we had two (2) stops to make before we reached our final destination. Although it was raining, the driver and associate arrived on time, took all the items to the truck, then off to the 2nd location where there was furniture and they made great time with all that wrapping and protecting the items from scratches or rain. The two movers were courteous to the "inmates" at the senior facility and moved my friend in with little to no disruption within the facility. They did all of this within 2-1/2 hours without breaking speed limits. Seriously, it is expensive, but it made it all so easy on us, that it was money well spent. They didn't help unpack, but the very difficult part was finished. Thank you, HELPING HANDS RELOCATION.
