Warning: Think Twice Before Accepting a Position at Ford Dealership Parts - Hempstead, NY (301N) I want to share this experience so others don't make the same mistake. Someone I know was recruited by the Ford dealership parts department in Hempstead (301N) and assured that a position was waiting. They were told to simply let the branch know when they were ready to start. Out of respect for their previous employer, proper two weeks' notice was given and the new role began three weeks later. During onboarding, the digital application forced acceptance of an "at-will termination with no notice" clause. The system would not allow progress without agreeing, making it mandatory in order to get paid. After only three days of training, the individual was terminated without warning. The explanation given was being "too slow." In reality, proficiency only comes with consistency and fluency in a new system. No qualified person can reasonably be expected to master an unfamiliar process in just three days. This kind of treatment is heartless, ruthless, and unconscionable. Whoever made the decision to terminate after such a short time showed no regard for professionalism, skill, or livelihood. It felt like a setup: waiting until someone left a stable job, then discarding them without giving a fair chance to learn. Key Warnings for Others: Do not resign from your current job until you are fully secure in a new role. Be cautious of digital agreements that force you into "at-will" clauses. A job that looks promising may, in fact, be a false sense of opportunity--a hoax. The position appeared appealing, but the reality was harsh and deceptive. ZERO STARS Avoid this dealership at all costs. I returned my vehicle at the end of its lease in excellent condition with no damage, and I have time-stamped photo proof to back it up. Despite this, I was hit with a $1,600 charge for damage that clearly did not exist when I dropped the car off. I reached out to the dealership immediately to address the issue and requested to speak with the manager, who refused to speak with me. I even took the extra step of emailing the dealership owner directly, and to this day, I have received no response. This kind of behavior is unprofessional, dishonest, and shows a complete lack of integrity and accountability. I expected better from a business that relies on customer trust. Disappointed Explorer owner... Just spent an hour and a half at Hempstead Ford dealership for a 8:30 am service appointment. . After sitting there for almost an hour I was abruptly told I had to have a copy of my insurance policy for my loaner car. Nobody explained that to me when I made over the phone, I tried to call my insurance company, but the wait time was over 30 minutes. I was looking to buy a van for transporting bikes and windsurf gear. I wasn't sure what to buy. I told the salesman John Talt what I wanted to do. He listened carefully and came up with a great solution. He went down the list of options and clearly explained what I needed. He also reached out to a person who customizes vans to get some answers. I picked up the van yesterday. It is beautiful and has everything I want. John patiently went through all the features, set it up to work on my phone and explained everything. My boyfriend had his car in for service towed in on a Saturday for a check engine light and issues starting. They wouldn't tell us anything about what was wrong. We would call to get an update and be told nothing. The car was there for 2 weeks and they didn't even fix it they did work that was not authorized by my partner and charged him 900$ FOR SOMETHING THAT WE DIDNT BRING THE CAR IN FOR and again mind you we were not told about it. The worst, most dishonest dealership I've ever dealt with. I leased a 2018 and 2021 F150 truck from them. Their service department damaged both of them. The 2018 went in for a warranty repair. They tried giving me back the truck with the hood, passenger door and bed all scratched to bare metal. They had one of their service people drive it to the front , hand me the keys and walked away. They had to repaint over 50% of the truck. I also bought 4 new tires from them. I thought they would do a better job mounting them since they are a Ford Service Department. Boy was I wrong. They gauged one of the chrome wheels. Again they tried giving it back to me and hoped I wouldn't notice it. When I showed it to them they said they could "touch it up" with silver paint. After arguing with them they agreed to replace the wheel. I brought my 2021 in for a simple oil change. They drove it into a wall in the service department. They tried giving me back my truck with a scraped front bumper and damaged grill. When I went back in to tell the service rep what they did the he had the nerve to ask me if I drove it off their lot. Between all the damage they did to both trucks I lost about 4-5 months usage of them. They did give me loaners. Usually small SUV's. After all my lost time with my trucks, which I use for my business, I went in to complain to my sales rep, John Talt. He made all kinds of promises that the dealership would cover some of my lost monthly payments. He lied. The dealership covered none of them. Ford Motor Company covered one month. I complained to Ford. They told me the dealerships are independently owned and they have no control over them. I even had the sales manager, Douglas Curtis, come out to see the damage they did. His response was don't come back to the dealership since I complained to Ford. My advice based on my experience is if you want to buy a Ford don't buy it from Hempstead Ford. And, whatever you do don't go near their service department. I have texts, photos and receipts to back up everything I've stated. read more

This service department is the most corrupt business I have dealt with, Oliver Czavar is the rudest man and he speaks to you like you are garbage. I have been a loyal customer for over 12 years and I am reporting them all to Ford Corporate. I have had the same vehicle for 7 years and I am on my 3rd engine!!! And they had the nerve to charge me $100 on my deductible when I picked up my car. No customer loyalty. In good faith they should have absorbed the cost as this is engine #3!!! We have a lot of experience purchasing new cars over the years. This was our 2nd purchase with Hempstead. We had a great experience with Marc Brown in sales. He communicated, was on time with our appointments, gave a fair price & delivered the car prepped as best as we've ever gotten. So many times over the years we've encountered jerks. We were pleasantly surprised this time. Of course, do your homework on the vehicle & your trade in as many salespeople don't & you'll be ready to strike a good deal. As far as the service, we go to our local Ford & I've read the reviews for Hempstead. I called them to ask what the sticker on the back of my key fob was & Karen & John said they didn't know but that I didn't need it. Whaaat!? Years ago I put up a review about Hempstead Ford and John Talt . At that time he was very helpful for each vehicle we either bought or leased from him. Which was 5 in total. Recently when my lease was almost up I contacted him to have a few questions answered . I called him several times and also sent a few texts to him . None of which were ever answered or any response sent to me . At the end of my lease, I went to Levittown Ford and purchased my new explorer from them. So now it's time for my husband to return his Ford F150 and John is doing the exact same thing to him . Has not returned any phone calls or any text that my husband has sent him . There is absolutely no reason why the two of us are being treated like this . John has made a lot of money from us both . If anybody should be ignoring anybody, it should be us . Hempstead Ford Service Department has damaged two of my husband's trucks while having them serviced there. Each time they damage his trucks, they never said anything. The only way that we found out about it was that my husband checks our vehicles before we leave the service department. Otherwise, they would've said they didn't do the damage . Which they did try to do once before . Before writing this review, we placed a call to Hempstead Ford to speak to the sales manager, but of course he never returned our calls either . I would stay clear of Hempstead Ford . Their sales department and their Service Department have gone down hill. We will never return to this dealership . He only responded by text. This is my 2nd truck within the last 3 years that I purchased from Hempstead Ford. I still have the Gen2 Raptor I bought back in 2019. Just picked up the very first F150 Lightning from their dealership today. Process was and always has been painless with Hempstead Ford. You get in, you get out. No negotations that go nowhere, no FIO pushing you to buy this option and that. Just straight shooters. Great staff too. I think I spent more time just BSing with the sales guys then I did taking delivery of my new truck. John T was great to deal with years ago when I bought the Raptor. I called the Service department today to ask to bring my car in for a NYS Inspection because the sticker expired yesterday and I have a newborn. When they asked if I bought the car there I said no. They then told me they didn't have any availability until the end of December that they couldn't help me. The service department is terrible. My service writer was Karen. I dropped off one our our trucks for service. We use enterprise as our fleet management company. I called to ask if they had submitted the approval yet and that I would help expedite the process once they did. Karen told me it's too much work to enter all of the information into the computer and it's was going to take her an hour and half. She has lots of customers and doesn't know when she'd get to it. I asked aren't I a customer and she said yes but I have 40 other customers here in front of me and I have to take care of all of them first. I asked her do you want me to pick up the truck and bring it to another Ford dealer and she said yes why don't you pick it up. If Hempstead Ford doesn't want to work with the Enterprise fleet program they shouldn't take the work in the first place. Not take the truck and then give the customer a hard time. I don't deserve to be treated like this, no one does. I will never go back again to buy a vehicle and definitely not for service. Steer clear of this place they are course and rude. The absolute worst experience I've ever had at a car dealership. I brought my car in on Monday for service and to fix an electrical problem. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car and had to keep it overnight without providing me with a loaner or even offering me a ride to the train station so I could get home. After more than 24 hours of diagnostics they figured out the problem, told me they'd have to order the part and it would take three business days to be delivered. I went to pick up my car the next morning and they told me the engineer had done something to drain the battery. They jumped the battery and returned the car to me. (Charged me $800!) A few hours later the battery was dead again. I had to call AAA to give me a new battery ($200!). The next day the brand new battery was dead again. So we took the car back to the dealership. It took them 8 hours to figure out that when their technicians were working on the car, they triggered something that was draining the battery. They charged me $400 for the privilege of them fixing the problem they had caused. Unbelievable. read more

Very unprofessional! I went in on a Sunday to purchase a car that I researched for weeks. On the dealer website they had the Vehicle in the color and exact configuration I wanted. I went armed with pre qualification from several lending agencies thinking it would be a painless experience. Sadly I went home empty handed because the salesman did not appear to want to be bothered with me. I almost wondered if he judged me because I was dressed down in my Sunday comfortable clothes. I walked out feeling completely dismissed. When I walked in, I told the young Woman at the desk what car I wanted to look at and she pointed at it, mumbled "the brown one" and looked back down. I walked over to the car and was looking at it inside and out for quite a few minutes. Several people that I believed to be sales people walked by me without even acknowledging me. I finally walked back to the desk and had to ask to speak to someone. A salesman appeared a moment later (one who didn't acknowledge me earlier). I asked to see the Vehicle that was on the website and he explained to me it was not on site. I understand that but when I asked if it could be brought to the dealer so I could see it (I was willing to wait until Monday) he said something along the lines of its only brought to the dealer if it is going to be sold. Then he had the nerve to say they are all alike and the only difference is the colors. I guess he thought I was not serious...... or stupid. There are 4 different models with 2 different engines, multiple trim levels and many options. I probably know more about the vehicle then he did. On Monday, 05/31/2021 my fiancé and I went to the Ford Hempstead location interested in the Ford Mustang Mach E. My fiancé had done extensive research and was excited to see the car in person, test drive and purchase. We had an appointment to see Rick and when we arrived he did greet us however, while checking out the floor model he left to greet other customers who walked in and shortly after stated he would not be able to help us and said another person would. The alternate sales man was helpful in getting the keys to test drive however seemed unconcerned with our observation of the uncleanliness of the test drive model. When returning to the lot post test drive the sales man was adamant about us getting out and returning the key due to someone else that needed to test drive the car. That is understandable yet based off his aggressive nature I was curious to see who was so important that we needed to be rushed out. While looking at the available models the salesman returned and when my fiancé asked questions in regards to the different models there he was aloof in answering. We showed interest in the model with the panoramic roof and star white color we wanted and asked about the tech package instead of answering the question he informs us of a $2,500 premium. We asked what is the basis for the premium he stated "Rick should of told you what it is." I do not want to assume that we were being prejudged based on appearance, i.e. race and/or age. But the standoffish response and disinterest in our sale was not what I expected when dealing with a Fortune 50 company such as Ford. As essential workers who have been on overdrive this entire pandemic it was disheartening to be treated as optional. My fiancé may be enamored by the vehicle nonetheless customer service is what solidifies trust and comfort in making such a large purchase. Your competitors have been more welcoming maybe this Hempstead location is not up to Ford's true business standards. (P.S. Although the alternate salesman never gave us his name we found out it is 'Wimps' after calling to voice our dissatisfied experience to the sales manager who despite several calls was unavailable, then all of a sudden not there.) read more

I made an appointment here for a Wednesday at the 10:15 but decided to drop my car off early since I had to work. I was told that there was a possibility that my car wouldn't get looked at that day ( why make an appointment then) but I would receive a call in the afternoon from the lady that helped me whether my car got looked at or not, I never received a call. I texted the automated line thing they have for an update but never received an update that way either. I call at 8:30ish the next day and no one answers. I get a text saying that my car would be looked at later today, okay great. Around 3ish I receive a call from Karen about how apparently they couldn't get a transmission mechanic in to look at the car and she's like we can possibly get someone in on Friday....my car was looked at on Friday and I was able to pick it up the next day (even though I'm not getting it fixed). Communication could definitely be better but the saving grace was this older gentleman that works as one of the checkin people. He was the sweetest person and kept me company while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up!! read more
