100 times over I would recommend this experience, BUT you must be prepared…read more 1. Put in your head that you could be there for a total of THREE hours or more because there is a line AND/OR you have more than one person in your party so it just TAKES TIME to draw and add color! 2. Bring your cell phone and a fan to keep you occupied and cool. NOTE, they ask that you don't stare at your phone the whole time while drawing because they really are looking at all your features to exploit. ;) 3. This is donation based, but don't be a jerk - pay them! And pay at the minimum $50-$75 per person drawn on your pic. 4. Come in with a good attitude. Everyone is waiting just like you. So get friendly with folks in line. Just be kind. 5. They do typically get set up about 5/5:30 pm in front of H&M area and they do take time to set up. If you don't see them by 6 pm then they probably aren't drawing that night. We were lucky. We strategized to be in Oahu at least three nights and the first night we were there we caught them (and we did get there by 4:15 pm to start waiting). We learned that they wouldn't be there the next night but then would be there the night after. So yah there's a risk you may not get to do it. We met one dude in line who planned a LAYOVER from Japan to the mainland, JUST to get his drawing done! They suggest no kids as part of the experience because it's a long time. Our 11-year-old was a champ though.

We were honestly scouring Kalakaua Ave, waiting to see if we could find the treasure that is Aaron and Saemee. I think we honestly found them because we did some honest to God detective work, determining and analyzing that a lot of their videos have Fendi as the background. Anyway, when we finally found the place (we should've just looked at their Instagram bio), we saw a couple getting their caricature done. They basically sold us on the experience because the guy was wearing a tshirt of the caricature they had gotten done from the same artist a while back. So, the guy who is getting a caricature drawn of him live was wearing a past caricature tshirt. It was a pretty meta moment, and the couple seemed really stoked to be there.. again. Long story told, we were sold! We went the following day promptly at 5:00 pm to be the first in line. Aaron was incredibly cordial and thoughtful in talking us through his artistic process. The sitting and modeling itself was quite an interesting hour. Several tourists and onlookers stood behind Aaron, laughing, making aghast reactions, and looking between the portraits and us. Introverts beware. Nonetheless, the audience brought about a nice sense of suspense for the final result. We were pleased and delighted by the outcome and the attention to detail. If you're hoping for a fun memory and experience of a lifetime, I'd highly recommend taking a seat at the Caricature Party! You won't regret it!

She arrived at the hotel on time with her supplies and got to work, with ideas for each person hair/makeup wise. My mom is super picky (hairstylist herself) but loved the makeup especially, and turned out stunning in pictures! The bride got so many compliments on her hair and makeup, it was confirmed that Heidi did a beautiful job. It took about 4 hours for the 3 of us, perfectly timed. Her prices are very reasonable as well. Definitely use her for your wedding parties or events, she has a talented team that assists with larger parties!

I've always enjoyed the art of henna as this temporary art fades in a week or two it does gives you freedom for those that aren't ready for something permanent or just want to express their mood of the moment. Here's 808 Henna where you can find them on the Street Level of Ala Moana Center to the right of the Centerstage and with just two weeks of being here says that they're doing quite well is great to hear. There are lots of samples pictures around the kiosk or if you have a suggestion they are more than willing to create that for you as well. Prices was a bit steep with mall prices I assume but it was done very quickly and loved how it turned out as I really wanted a lotus design and when done will give you instructions on the care which is very easy just leave it completely alone u touched for me a couple of hours did it and you'll know once it starts to flake off. Hopefully my lotus henna last for at least a couple of weeks like it says but much longer for this cute kiosk with a very artsy touch. Thank you!

Recently had Digitoons out for a party we threw. We were extremely excited after exploring the…read morewebsite and looking at past work there as well as on Yelp. We booked this 6 months out and were most excited for this vendor. Tiki had an impressive body of work and we were impressed. In the months leading up to the party Tiki was very responsive. When reaching out to confirm how I can make the final payment he casually said Ken will be able to accept it. I asked who Ken was and he informed me that he was sorry for the mix up and he's mostly retired and Ken his son takes his gigs now. This was disappointing to hear, but two days out we tried to make the best of it. Tiki apologized and drew a photo of the birthday boy remotely to make up for it which we appreciated. On the day of Ken was very nice, showed up on time. He forgot a power strip, but fortunately the venue had one. Not sure what the work around would have been if they did not. He set up and got to work. Right away we noticed it took much longer per photo than expected. Most folks including us sat for 10-15 minutes. Much longer than the expected 3-5 minutes. A couple of days after the party we received the digital gallery link from Ken, and unfortunately for the whole party with a constant wait, only 11 people got pictures. Additionally when looking at how Digitoons sets up in Yelp reviews, they put up a sign or banner advertising it. Unfortunately they did not for this, so it got around by word of mouth really. In the end it was a fun addition to the party, but felt a little like a like a bait and switch. We booked based on the quality of work that Tiki provided and while Ken is a very nice guy his art isn't up to par with his Dad. The Digitoons website in its entirety speaks about Tiki, not once does it mention anything else. I don't think they intentionally tried to bamboozle us, they seem like great people. We just didn't get what we paid for and only found out a few days before the party. Tiki informed me that his rate would have been much higher for himself, but that's not what's advertised on his site.
