Located in Trussville's small shopping/dining district, you'll find one heck of a deli. Henrietta's menu encompasses hot and cold sandwiches, homemade chips, a variety of sides, breakfast served all day, and a small selection of salads. Everything is made to order, so you're guaranteed a fresh meal. What we ordered: -Chopped Cheese (substituted mayo for garlic pepper mayo): Hot sandwich with NY strip beef, sautéed onions, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, vinaigrette, and mayo on a fresh baguette. I devoured this sandwich. It was incredible. -Adult Grilled Cheese: A hot sandwich featuring spicy bacon jam, smoked cheddar, goat cheese, Swiss, and a fried egg, all on sourdough bread. My boyfriend ordered this, and he loved it! I'm not a fan of Swiss or goat cheese, but I actually really enjoyed the bite that I had of this sandwich. While I wish this deli were closer to where I live, I will still make the trek out here to grab another sandwich. The workers here were all so friendly and caring for their customers. On 03/07/25, I came here for lunch. You order at the counter and since I was dining in, they brought my food to my table. Staff very nice. The Friday sandwich special was a Reuben. I love a good reuben so that's what I ordered. They have daily sandwich specials. This sandwich did NOT disappoint!!! From the bread, quality meat and the other ingredients, this sandwich was amazing!!! Well made. I can't forget about the house made chips!! Soooooo light , flavorful and had that perfect burnt russet complexion. I looooooooved them so much! The sweet heat flavor paired nicely with my sandwich. Henrietta's Deli is located in the old golden rule and kemps building. It's very spacious and casual inside. Plenty of parking. I didn't think too much about paying $17 for a sandwich /chips. Well worth the price!! I think it's safe to say I enjoyed my first visit here and I'm going back today (just kidding). I will definitely return soon. read more

After a longer than expected wait to order since I was the only customer for an early dinner (one of the cooks had to go get someone to take my order), I opted for the weekly special which was their version of a Reuben with house made chips. After ordering at the counter you take a seat and they bring it out to you. Shortly after I came in the place filled up with some couples and a few larger groups. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and tasted great. The rye bread was clearly fresh (Cahaba Bread & Bagels) and had a large portion of the meat with just the right amount of sauce to not make it soggy but still flavorful. The chips were nice and crisp and I liked the Chili Lime flavoring that was subtle enough to not be too much. The price point is the only thing that I think will keep me from coming here very regularly. Not saying that it was not worth it, just more than I expect to typically spend for a deli sandwich, chips & a drink. read more

Arrived not knowing found on Yelp looking for something different . It was great got the Nashville chicken sandwich and adult grill cheese 2 sodas came to 35.20 before tip. Service was great, friendly clean and simple on the inside. You get a side of chips one flavor when getting a sandwich. Nashville was a sandwich that dripped it had so much on it so keep it over your basket. Chips was the best to me I may just stop for chips when I am quickly passing through town. read more

We split a steak sandwich and ordered two sodas for $20. Customer service was super nice, food was fresh, you could tell the ingredients were high-quality. I was one of the first customers when it opened in Trussville. Adult grilled cheese is such a simple but oh so delicious sandwich. Don't sleep on the American muffin for breakfast. Portions are generous and filling. People complaining about the $ keep in mind you are getting the very best quality of house made sauces, local ingredients and hand cured meats!! Hashbrowns and latkes are out of this world delicious. House made chips are better than the ones you get at Bottega. The bread and house cured meats make this one of the best delis around. This was my first time there and we went because of the reputation of the owner. The foid was perfect. Between the four of use we hast the prime beef, pistrami, and the chicken. Side were potato salad and house made chips. I could have left with a grocery sack of the pepper and salt chips. my prime beef sandwich was perfect and based on the remarks around the table so was what everyone else had.
