Yvette Qualls on 6/22/26 I had spoken to Chris, regarding what I taken care of on my I specifically had it brought there and pinion, I was charged for the service as well as an inspection, after inspection, I was told I had a leak as well and asked me if I wanted it repaired and I had it repaired. My total came to $5875.00 take out a loan to pay half of work, when picked up on the 24th on the way home, I to beat my horn. I had no horn then when I on the steering wheel I try to pass the OK button to clear I like that came on, but it wouldn't then my airbag laminated along with check engine, which I was told all were cleared due to the rack and pinion why I was having all the problems, Chris told him what was going on and he told me to bring the car and they'll have a look at it. He calls me back to make a long story shot and said I have some bad news he said hold on I'll let the you. And the manager tried to tell me that the problem that I was having was due to. my other mechanic. I stated to him the manager that I a diagnostic of the exact time that my clock spring broke, he had stayed at you in Rental that I'm paying for and it would cost me over 1000 if we drag this out I asked him what was he going to do saying that he didn't want me to see that diagnostic he told me that he would fix it so today is the 30th of this month. I got a text stayed in my car was ready. I go on my phone since I keep all the receipts contracts that was sent to me as well as the first one and they things that I did ask them to do with a bill 1000 and dollars I called corporate before I even looked at this and reported them to corporate and a case number I will be calling tomorrow to speak with the corporate manager. I've had enough. I wish I reviews before I ever took my car there. I'm not get away with that. read more

Most recently Dianne Miller, the Service Advisor went above and beyond to answer ALL my questions (and I always have a lot of questions). Dealing with car maintenance and repairs is stressful but Dianne was solution oriented and helped me find the right option to make sure my vehicle got the repairs it needed in a way that worked with me and my demanding schedule. This is my response to my Yelp review on July 7th regarding Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree. I do not know the reason my inquiries on issues with my car or customer service was not being heard before. Until the GM Scott Lewis, Service Mgr Jon Rydings and in the end Jack Nguyen who took my car in Friday for the service. Now everything is perfect. You understand that things will never stay the same as before. It will change. When it seemed like I was hitting a brick wall I could not understand how it could be like this and started to lose faith. When I started dealing with Scott it started to change and we got some things done. I still had an issue and I could understand why they were questioning because they repaired parts when they first got the Explorer in well before I looked at it. They could have been hard nosed but Scott got hold of Jon and they worked on my car a couple of times until Friday when I drove out of Chambers Ford Braintree with the Explorer in perfect condition. There is only one way that I can describe what happened with my experience that I wrote about on July 7th. The New England Patriots went through the 2007 season undefeated. They were the best of the best. Until they lost the Super Bowl. One glitch to a perfect season. Well, Herb Chambers Ford Braintree unfortunately had that glitch with me. Then they stuck with it and made everything right. Thank you for proving to me that YOU are as good as you were when I bought my other Explorer from you. Brought my Ford Bronco in for 2 recalls and an oil change on June 24, 2024 to the Braintree location, July 19th the oil light came on so I went to a local garage to have them look and they state the the oil was not changed and was actually very low. Brought my Bronco back to Herb Chambers on July 22, 2024 informing them that they charged me for an oil change that was never done, had to wait 2 hours and not even an apology for not doing the oil change on June 24th. Will be taking my car to another servicer going forward. read more

Waited two years for a bronco. Got here week before Christmas, was ready on Wednesday. the salesman and his boss weren't in Thursday so I came in Friday, they didn't offer me enough for my trade in so I said I'll be back. Next week was Christmas so got the financing done, looked to sell my trade personally, and told them I'd come get it after the holidays. General manager said that was unacceptable and they would sell it. Again this is a vehicle I ordered two years ago and just came last week. Their motto is "we don't sell cats, we help people buy cars", that's total bull shit they just want it sold before the end of the year. I've bought 6 cars from them, never again. read more

I purchased a 2017 Ford Explorer from Herb Chambers in May of 2023. At its first oil change my mechanic showed me both air filters and they were exceedingly dirty. They were also original Motorcraft parts which I thought were odd because I thought they would use aftermarket parts. Five months later my battery fails. Come to find out the battery was almost 5 years old and at the end of its life. I wrote the company, and they say that their records indicate that my vehicle was serviced prior to leaving. My recommendation to anyone wanting a car from them.....DON'T. Either that or ask if you can take it to an independent mechanic for a once over. Mena was absolutely amazing to deal with; courteous, helpful and honest. Very responsive to any questions. Keith was also very helpful with getting the car ready. Jessica was amazing and really felt badly about the sales manager, Brandon, lying to us about matching an interest rate. She was extremely pleasant (fun!) and easy to work with. Brandon had told us he would match what we got for a rate at a credit union and when we arrived to pick up the car, we were told that was not possible and he didn't have the authority to tell us that. So, we are paying a point higher until we refinance. Everyone we dealt with was really great but I would strongly advise not dealing with Brandon on anything! DO NOT take your car here for service. I took my car in for a transmission leak which they fixed. Unfortunately, the moment I left Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree my car started making knocking noises when turning. I have no idea what they did to it, and Jay Larkin (service director) was going to charge me to find the cause of the noise. Also, they missed a severely bent rear lower control arm during their multi-point inspection (they claimed to have performed one). Any one with basic knowledge of steering/suspension would have noticed this damaged part. I received contradictory answers from Jay Larkin (service director) and one of the service managers on this critical damage. Ultimately they either lied about doing a multi-point inspection or their mechanics should not be working on cars. AVOID AVOID AVOID! read more

Went there to buy a new fl50 highbrid found the truck i wanted and tried to trade in my 2012 f150 they low balled me on my trade by 5k and then are asking a 5K premium over sticker on the new truck. Told them i wouldnt pay anything over sticker so they came up 3500 on trade in but still wanted the 5k over sticker so i walked. After giving this dealership my business for over 25+ years- I will NEVER go back. Beyond disappointing! All new staff and not trained or knowledgeable at all to even fix easy repairs. I brought my son's first (used) car there for service and they "attempted" to fix it, but did nothing and said it was fixed. We drove less than a mile, and had to bring it back and they said they did not want to work on it now and what they did was not why it was not drivable, HA!! We originally drove it in and I had to have it towed out and they denied that! It ended up being a simple adjustment, that cost $300 but took 3.5 hours to troubleshoot. They are not capable! That is the 3rd time I brought cars for service there and they made up excuses why something could not be fixed, EVEN with Ford extended warranties! After receiving horrible service at Herb Chambers in Braintree a couple of months ago. I received your apology from Scott the Sales Manager. I decided to give the location another chance to redeem themselves. However, the service once again failed to deliver quality service. Paul from the Service Department quoted me one outrageous high price. Then, proeeded to charge me another equally ridiculous amount after I presented the service department with a coupon. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes upon arrival. For the staff to print out my paperwork. That they informed me was ready when I arrived. The staff recalculated everything, came back, and charged me an additional $100 dollars. From the original bill that was presented to me when I first arrived to pick up my vehicle. Once I noticed the change in the price, I informed the staff this wasn't the correct price that Paul quoted me and wanted to speak to Paul. Which, he conveniently left for the day. After taking to the guy at the desk, Andy, (that talked down to me) I asked to speak to the manager. Matt came out and proceeded to talk down to me as well. At that point, I was done. Purchased my 2014 Ford Edge from Herb Chambers Ford Westborough in Feb 2018. Immediately had issues with it due to them not examining it as well as they had claimed, but that's a separate issue and separate review. I live on the South Shore and usually go to Colonial in Plymouth for service, the Sales Manager at Westborough set up the appointment for me in Braintree to save the trip back up. Genuinely wanted to give Herb Chambers Ford an opportunity to earn my service business and redeem themselves for the other location's poor quality of work. Multiple trips to Braintree, I even had to pay for a rental car one of the days due to not having first day rental coverage. Unable to diagnose more than half the issues with my car, including the most important one - the transmission. The service writer drove my car home twice using about half a tank of gas, between him and the technicians no one was able to reproduce the issues I experience every single day - no resolution or further troubleshooting was offered. Brought my Edge to Colonial Ford in Plymouth and went for a less than 10 minute ride with the transmission technician. He reproduced the issue with the vehicle immediately, noted my other unresolved issues with the vehicle that were leftover from Herb Chambers incompetence (at two locations). Only positives are the nice facility and the service writer (who doesn't appear to be employed there anymore) was a decent guy. Will continue to send business elsewhere. Second guessing servicing my Lincoln with the Norwood location as well, it appears Herb Chambers is more worried about quantity over quality. read more

They replaced the engine throttle drove the car out light came back on. The charged me $1100. Brought it twice. Third time they said I needed spark plugs and wires be another $1100 ! First of all, Lisa Chamberlain was great to work with. I noticed they had a 2022 F-150 Raptor on their site for a great price compared to most dealerships. I called and spoke to Lisa who I worked out the details with. Then I noticed they had another Raptor also there, so I asked Lisa if it was ok for my brother to buy since he was looking for one also. This was agreed upon. I was going to buy both under my company, which was never brought up as an issue either. The wire info for the dealership was sent and I wired the money for the trucks to them. It was a Friday afternoon and they wouldn't receive it until Tuesday due to the Juneteenth holiday. I emailed the dealership on Tuesday morning and never got a response. I called and Lisa was off that day so another gentlemen took my name and number to find out. Scott Lewis the GM calls and confirms the wires were received and then states there were "red flags" and they needed to do a fraud check. I found that odd since I've bought plenty of vehicles and never had this happen. My company is relatively new so perhaps that was the red flag. Even though I was not financing with them Scott said my credit needed to be ran. Fine, we wanted the trucks so go ahead I guess. I was asked to provide details on my employment history, address history, where the wire transfer came from, etc. All of which I provided. So, this morning Scott emails me (I don't even get the dignity of a phone call) and says they decided to sell the Raptors locally. Really? This was NEVER brought up before. I even asked if they sold out of state to which I was told yes. I asked if anything was found in the fraud check since it would be nice to know if I was compromised. All I get is "it was a corporate decision". I called the corporate office twice and explained this situation and still crickets. I mean, the deal was agreed upon and I wired the funds to them. I did their fraud check and they ran my credit, but still I can't buy them??? All I'm told is it was a corporate decision to sell locally. What a cop out and a bunch of BS. They made me feel like a criminal. Now I check two days later and they are listed for $5,000 more than the price I had an agreement on. You want to sell "locally" for more $$$. read more

The Aryan manager was making jokes about Chinese people's eyes being "half-closed" to explain why they get in accidents --- literally while I'm in a conversation with him (I'm Korean!) For real. How ignorant can you be to make offensive, racist Asian jokes in a conversation with an Asian?! And then think that they might want to buy a car from you? The whole story is that my fiance (a white guy) and I went in on 7/23 to test drive a car we saw on their website. While we were outside, a leased car with a Chinese restaurant's logo had been returned with a bunch of damage. The manager was examining it and since we were familiar with the restaurant, we went over to chat. That's when the racist jokes started coming out. Also, the sales person claimed that "no car that has been in an accident would ever be on this lot". However, we could tell the car we were looking at had the whole front end had been replaced. There was paint overspray inside the car! The Carfax showed the accident, and the sales guy said "I've never ever seen this!" [Eyeroll] We ended up not liking the car because it was way over priced (and they lied about the damage, and the whole racist thing) and continued searching at literally any other dealer. We finally found a great car that cost twice as much as the car at herb Chambers and I'm so glad I didn't spend our hard earned money supporting that kind of business. read more

The sales rep came back with numbers that were out of this world, $3800 down plus $1700 for lease fees plus $230/monthly for 36months limited to 10K miles/year. If there was a 0 rating on this, I would put it! I had my car in there for a week for an engine issue. No codes showed up on the diagnostic. Brought it home, the next day, the car did the same thing. Had to pay for the towing back to HCF. I was without a car for two weeks. I brought my car to someone who knows Fords very well and who I was recommended to. He opened it up, and said that HCF did nothing to the vehicle to fix it. I paid almost $500. He also said 16 codes showed up on the diagnostic. Hmmm... Then, when I spoke to a manager about not having a rental car while I had health issues to take care of, he said "That's not OUR problem." He was so rude, not even friendly on the phone. I have never been to such a rude, disrespectful, and arrogant dealership in my life. I was here a few weeks ago to take a look a the 2024 Mustang Gt, I was interested in buying and wanted to take it for a test drive...we have all seen the bad dyno numbers so I wanted to see for myself. All of the sales people were very rude about letting me test drive even after talking numbers for the car. How am I expected to spend 60,000 dollars on a car I haven't driven. So we ended up leaving, come to find out this same dealer let someone else test drive the GT days later and the customer totaled the car. Come to present day, they had an eco-boost on the lot. I decided I would give them benefit of the doubt and I would have a better experience, come to find out nothing would change. Thinking it was an eco boost I was sure to get a test drive this time, but I was denied, they made condescending remarks, and even said "we don't let 17 year old boys test drive cars" (for background I am certainly not a '17 year old boy') . I will certainly never take my business back to this dealership and I advise anyone that is thinking of coming here...to gladly take your business elsewhere as well. They also lost my credit app that I filled out with Scott. When he finally admitted to the mistake he was rude, and very unwilling to help with the situation. The info he omitted was supposedly a state law. I went to another dealer and they were more than helpful. In fact they made the experience painless and stress free. I waited a week to write this in the hopes that Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree would reach out to me to attempt to correct this issue, but I've heard nothing. Three weeks ago I went to Herb Chambers Ford of Braintree to test drive a Mustang Mach-E Premium. When I got there, I was told that they only had one Premium, and that it wasn't on the lot because the general manager, Scott Lewis, had been driving it to get it to the minimum mileage required before it could be test driven or sold. I was told that I could only test drive the Select model, which I did. I really liked the car and I told the salesperson I liked it, but that I was still only interested in the premium model. I told them that I would want to look at and test drive the premium model before I talked any further about a potential purchase. A couple weeks later, I called and confirmed with the dealership that the premium model had just hit 2,000 miles and was now available for test drive and purchase. I made plans to visit the dealership later that night to test drive it. When I arrived, the salesperson was extremely rude and condescending to me and my friend. First, he informed me that the premium was not available for a test drive. I told him I had spoken with someone and made plans to test drive it and in response he told me "oh she must have been from the call center and didn't know what she was talking about." The number I called was the primary number listed for the dealership and the woman I spoke with seemed knowledgeable about what was going on at the dealership, as she knew that the premium model had just hit 2,000 miles. The dealership had the only premium model available on display in the showroom. The salesman told me "we're selling the car $10k above MSRP. Is that something you can even afford? Because if not there's no point in discussing. But if you can, maybe we can talk." I told him that I had been told I could test drive the vehicle and had driven half an hour to come test drive it, but it was clear that wouldn't be happening. I promptly left the dealership. I have never been treated so poorly by a company or salesperson. He didn't apologize and didn't seem to care that he and his associates wasted my time. I will never shop here again. Any Mach E potential buyers should avoid this place like the plague. read more

I was told by internet sales rep that a vehicle I was interested in was available at the website advertised/posted price of $35, 305, and that was before discounts/negotiations. After driving an hour to the dealership, and After test driving the vehicle and being prepared to pay sticker price, I was told by the Salesman and the GM, that i would have to pay an additional $5000 just for the privilege of purchasing the vehicle. Herb Chambers also removed the manufacturers window sticker from the vehicle in direct violation of mass laws. HERB CHAMBERS Ford in Braintree are scammers, using deceptive sales techniques.
