My friends and family love coming here but I'm afraid after my most recent visit I will not be coming back. I got a pedicure and dip/SNS manicure about 2 weeks ago and more than half of my nails have already lifted to the point I have to glue them back. They started lifting less than a week after getting them done. One of my toe nail's polish has completely chipped off. It's just disappointing spending so much money only to have them all last 2 weeks. I've had pedicures last me over 2 months and dip nails last me at least 3-4 weeks. I went to get a dio manicure with some gel designs and was super let down. My cuticles were not cut down and cleaned properly, even though I asked the tech (male) to clean and cut them. The design was not done well. The dip wad done so poorly that the back end of my nails keep getting stuck in my hair while brushing. Typically this happens after a couple of weeks during growth. This is my second time going to herbal nails for a gel manicure. The first time I went about a month ago. I had made an appointment with a friend. When we got there she was taken directly to a table to start her manicure, while I waited 20 minutes to be seen despite having an appointment. Once I was seated it was across the room, as if we hadn't booked together. The manicure I got that day was great and actually lasted 4 weeks without chipping. Having had a good manicure the first time, I decided to make an appointment for today. After looking at reviews I booked with a tech that came recommended. The color that I picked today was a shimmery white. When I showed the tech she said okay then went to look for it. When she came back to the table she pointed out another color on the ring saying it was a good one. I agreed that it was nice but I preferred the original color I had picked. Although the bottle she had did match the number on the sample I picked, it was clear that it was a bubblegum pink in the bottle (like the color she pointed out to me on the sample ring). I thought maybe the color would change under the lamp light, but it did not. The color I ended up getting is pretty but not what I asked for. I'm not sure if the tech knew it was a different color from what I chose and was pointing it out to me or not. But either way it was not clear and I did not say it was the color I wanted. During the manicure my cuticles were cut too short on multiple nails, one producing blood. I was not asked what shape I would like my nails to be either. Multiple times she got gel on the skin of my fingers. Despite trying to wipe it off before putting it under the light, I was still having to peel it off on the drive home. I've been to 4 nail salons in the area and this is by far the best, still getting 3 stars. My experience has rested highly on which tech I get. All in all it wasn't great but wasn't terrible. My nails will look nice once they heal. I'll likely be back as long as my cuticles don't get infected like they have from other salons in the area. read more

I love this place. Brought my mom in the first time when she was visiting and she fell in love with it so I continue to go there. It's clean and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I specially love this place because of the staff. They are absolutely amazing. I came in with my two month old and he got really fussy in the middle of my session and the girls without hesitation were willing to help me by picking him up and holding him until I was done. Let me tell you I've never seen my baby smile so much, I think he loved them more than I do. I've been getting the dip powder polish and it's great. First off I waited over an hour for my appointment when she told me it wouldn't take long at all since only 3 people were ahead of me. Then when I was finally seated my dip nails took over 2 hours to finish. Two people were finished in the time it took Andy to complete my manicure. He was very rough with my nails by the time he had finished two of my fingers were bleeding and all of fingers were badly scuffed from the Dremel. It's going to take weeks for my hands to recover from this manicure and I certainly don't think I will be coming back due to the lack of service and inability to provide a pain free manicure read more

I've been going to this salon for over 6 years and CONSISTENTLY seeing the same nail tech. She is absolutely, by far, the best I've ever been to. In the last year the salon took on new ownership which, for the most part, has been good except for a male receptionist who should not be working in customer service at all. He was very rude on the phone when there was a problem with my appointment time and he would not take any time to figure out why. The other female receptionist who is extremely nice figured out the problem. And just today the male receptionist left me on hold for 7 minutes and when he came back on he didn't say sorry for your wait, he said "yeah"... I said excuse me? He said, yeah snarky. If I could give it 0 stars I definitely would've. This was my first time going and I don't plan on ever going back. I walked in 5 minutes after they opened and they didn't seem busy, but I felt like my manicure was rushed. The shape of my nails are all different with none of them being straight at all. I'm not sure if the pictures do it any justice but they look very bubbly and are shaped like friggin' eggs. When we decided on length, the technician literally cut all 10 of my nails in 30 seconds. That resulted in some of them being longer than the others. I'm typically not a prick when it comes to things like this, but when they are visibly noticeable from a distance is when it starts to bother me. They even had a kiddie chair - hello kitty for kids. Nice instrumental music. I had purchased a mani pedi groupon but upgraded my mani for their version of gel nails. I came at opening time so I was seated and attended to immediately. The pedicure was awesome. They put fresh fruit in your water and then use them to give your massage at the end. I had the dip powder manicure. Pretty cool technique. No harsh fumes and no UV light. The process seemed quicker than gel nails. I felt as though my technician - lena was a little distracted and missed some parts of my nails. I had to point out a few mistakes. I love the color and the process especially being that I'm pregnant. However, some of my nails have a heavy feeling - I guess the product used. My 9-year-old daughter and I had a mani-pedi as part of our girls' day while on vacation. We drove almost an hour for the Groupon deals we found near each other. (I thought it would be worth the trip for such a deal at such a wonderful looking place.) They were very nice in that they let me make a last-minute reservation and adjusted the pricing for a kid's mani-pedi (she charged regularly for a kid's pedicure and only $5 for a nail change since a manicure on a such tiny nails is pointless.) As for my mani/pedi, it was okay. I liked the addition of the grapefruit and lime to the pedicure, but my manicurist acted disgusted, was not very friendly and wouldn't talk to me. This is why I don't have my nails done very often. It's hard for me to pay to feel so out of place. I told my manicurist that I rarely have my nails done and she offered to upgrade my pedicure for only $10 more. I declined....mainly because I'd already declined twice to the lady who checked me in. I don't like to be pressured into spending more once I've already decided which service I want. It looked like everyone else in the salon was smiling and having a good time with their manicurists. I went here when I was a freshman at UWF about 2 years ago so I can't say if things have changed because I never went back after they jacked up my manicure. We first called ahead to make an appt. I was getting their version of an acrylic fill with gel on top. When we arrived - the front desk lady said there must've been a mess up on their end in scheduling and asked if we would mind waiting 20-30 mins. I didn't mind it was a Saturday. We ended up waiting 45 mins - and when we did start - my tech was in a total rush. Yes it was a Saturday and it was packed but that doesn't mean you rush through things and here's why! She cut my cuticles on 3 different fingers enough to where they were they completely dried out and crustified my cuticles- note she was not even cutting my cuticles - she was sanding off the excess "acrylicafter she did my fill. After she painted - everything was fine until the top coat. Everyone who gets gel knows that if you get the top coat on the skin and not keeping it sealed on the nail can cause it to peel up later. But not only was there so much top coat on the sides of my fingers - but once I put it in the light to set I saw just how much was on the sides and pulled them out since it started to burn to already find that the thin layer of top coat had already hardened into what looked like nasty flaky skin. I looked like my fingers were shedding skin! They owner caused a huge scene asking to fix it - I have severe Social Anxiety and it was so embarrassing having to decline her offer since I had already been in the store for 2+ hours in front of everyone. I refused to pay full price and only paid $25 for the manicure I received correctly up until her rushed final steps. Mind you I went to this place a total of 4 times trying to give it a chance. I understand they're cheap and catter to students but you definitely get what pay for here lol which is not much. If you want a spacious spa that's not so cramped like Herbal Nail - I would recommemd Bellagio Day Spa. They have lots of staff and almost never have a wait (unless it's the weekend). And I've never had a problem there. UPDATE!!! I FOUND THE PHOTOS!! As you can see my cuticles were a mess. I know I did not pay for a manicure but even the salon I go to now always applies cuticle oil at the end - but I don't even think that cuticle oil could've saved this. I have always had a good experience with this spa up until today. I used the online apt process like I always do but now they have something called "waiting list 1 and waiting list 2." So my usual nail tech was not in today so I thought I would use the "waiting list" option. WRONG!!!! I signed up for what I thought would be a 9:30 apt but when I got there, the lady at the desk said that because I was on the "waiting list" I did not actually have an apt. :( What the heck! So, the waiting list is just that......I was waiting for someone to cancel then I would have an apt. Even though, I saw 2 nail techs with no one at their stations and on their phones!
