My 79 year old Father accidentally Hit the curb and a got a flat tire in has his huge truck. He also had 2 crated hunting dogs in the back of the truck. They were so kind they helped him in the garage. It was difficult to maneuver. They fixed the tire at a more than reasonable price. They were coming to my house so that I could take them to lunch with another elderly couple. They held the Truck and the dogs in the shade so that keep there lunch date with there friends. These people are amazing! Daron and his Sister are great at what they do. I have a Lexus that started giving me problems. I took it to another shop who said there were so many diagnostic codes that they said they couldn't work on it and I had to take it to the dealer. The dealer found 28 diagnostic codes and quoted me the work. I called Herb's Garage and Daron quoted me significantly lower prices so I took it there. It took a few weeks to fix the issue because there were so many codes. Even after they fixed the noticeable issue (rough idle), the check engine would still come on. They finally fixed that issue. The car was a problem with only 60k miles. Daron and his team definitely worked hard on it and solved the difficult problem. They were gracious enough to help out with a rental for a little bit of time too. They charged very reasonable prices, especially for the amount of work performed. Car now runs great. Sketchy. My daughter and I were told she needed a new transmission and that instead of repairing the car we should just donate the car to a charity. We were then offered a car on their lot to purchase. This seemed legitimate until we called to get the old car picked up by the donation people. The owner hung up on the donation company and when we called to see what was up, we were told that the car was "theirs now". When I called the owner again to question this, she said they would "take care of our car and that she would send me a donation slip for our taxes". That never happened either. My old mechanic retired so I had to find someone new. I was going to use them, need to get a head gasket replaced on a 2003 Mustang Mach 1. Went to Repairpal and got a quote $3400-$4200 if both gaskets needed to be replaced and they listed 23 shops that could do the work. I called Herbs garage to start to set up an appointment and to confirm the quote range was accurate. Explained the problem to the lady that answered the phone and she went right to, you have to bring it in before we can give you a quote. So I guess this online on RepairPal " We found 23 RepairPal Certified shops near you honoring this estimate." Does not apply to Herbs Garage Needless to say I am not going to have my car towed there when they cannot even ball park a quote over the phone but have no problem doing it online.. They just lost a paying customer. 5/18 Update Darrin did give me a call this morning, the person who answered the phone was a call service.
