I was so overwhelmed when trying to find my dress. I went to several other boutique stores & they kept showing me dresses way out of my price range. Other boutiques also made me feel very uncomfortable. I would try a dress on & tell them I didn't like it & they would tell me I just had to look at in in the big mirror/ different light/ would bring their seamstress over to tell me how it could be altered. I was so discouraged I would never find my dress. A co-worker told me she had a similar experience & suggested I try "Here comes the Bride". When I walked into the store I was early, so the ladies told me to pull dresses off the rack that I liked. Once they saw my style, they pulled similar dresses. As soon as I would try on a dress I didn't like they helped me take it off immediately- no pressure. Then, as soon as I put on "the one" I knew it right away. The lady who was helping me let me have my moment to look at the dress, talk to my mom, then asked if I would like to go out & look in the bigger mirror as opposed to the one in the dressing room. They again, didn't pressure me constantly asking if that was the dress I wanted even though I was talking to my mom telling her how much I loved it. As soon as I told them this was the dress, the sales consultant (sorry, I can't remember her name) told me she thought it would be & asked if I would be interested in getting the sample dress at a discounted price. The price they gave me was unbelievable! I've had to pay more for bridesmaid dresses before! They fixed a few beads that were coming loose & steamed my dress for me for free & it was ready within a month. The ONLY flaw I would say was because I did buy the sample gown & was not getting any alterations done there was I had to pick up my gown when it was ready a month after they fixed those few beads. This was a downfall for me because I bought the dress 8 months before my wedding, so now I have to hide it in our house where my fiancé won't find it! But, again I understand why they can't store already bought dresses. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place for any bride who wants a pressure free experience :) read more

Beautiful dresses and OUTSTANDING customer service. I ordered a bridesmaid dress from here. I live out of state and they shipped the dress to me as soon as it came in. Fast forward to a few weeks before the wedding, I had gained weight. I was in a total bind because the extra fabric in the seams wasn't even enough. My out of state tailor needed more fabric to match the lining. I emailed HTCB to see if they had any extra fabric that I could purchase. Rose emailed me back right away and was able to ship it to me. AMAZING wedding dress shopping experience! I chose Here Comes the Bride based on an extensive internet search for a store with a good plus sized sample selection. I walked in, told the consultant (I believe it was Diane) what I wanted. She pulled a few that didn't fit my criteria and gently pushed me to try them on. I did and was actually surprised to find that I liked some of them. 4 dresses in, I found THE DRESS but still tried a few others on. I went back to THE DRESS band they celebrated with my family & I as we settled the deal. They asked about veil options and such buy didn't push me when I made up my mind. The ladies here are fantastic. They handle a busy shop well, are very punctual about making phone calls to confirm the appointment & even called me by name! They complimented my dress, how I looked in it & my positive attitude. Never once was I made to feel uncomfortable or agitated. I cannot recommend this place highly enough! read more

I have been meaning to write this review for almost a year!! Here Comes the Bride helped me have the most beautiful wedding I could have ever imagined. I had fallen in love with a $4000 gown at a different boutique, which was faaaaar out of budget for me. I came to HCTB, with a few Pinterest pictures, and a photo of the other dress I loved. Diane brought in lots of dresses for me to try, and I tried on a lace gown which had a very similar silhouette to the $4000 gown, but with a totally different neckline and back. Then the magic started: their seamstress, Rudy, said that she could modify the dress to look more like my ideal gown. I was AMAZED when I came back for a fitting a few months later. SHE IS LITERALLY MAGICAL. My dress was perfect, and the alterations she made after my next several fittings were spot-on. Not only did they basically create my dream wedding dress out of thin air, they were always so kind to me whenever I went in, and their prices are so reasonable!! The service, price and expert alterations make this shop a true gem!! We had gone to 3 other bridal shops before ending our search here. The ladies were so wonderful to work with. We had actually found "the dress" at another shop, but the sales woman was quite rude. Here comes the Bride carried the same line, Allure, and we were able to get the same dress at a much better price here. We had to have custom cap sleeves made, as our church does not allow strapless gowns. The seamstress there did such an amazing job! IT looked like the sleeves were part of the original dress. Here Comes the Bride was amazing to work with!!! I went in last summer during the sample sale. I had never tried on dresses and got very overwhelmed went nothing felt right. I made another appointment and explained why the dresses I tried on looked pretty but didn't feel right. Rose scheduled me a time later that week. When I came in she had already prepared some dresses for me and decided my style was bohemian chic. Every dress I tried on that day I LOVED! I found a dress that fit me perfectly and felt amazing but it was strapless (something I knew from the beginning I didn't want). Rose helped me figure out a way to add straps and make the back of the dress stand out. On top of everything she still gave me the sample sale discount even though the sale had ended!!! Fast forward to dress fitting day...their seamstress was very professional and efficient. She make my dress fit me perfectly!!! I felt like a million bucks bc this dress felt like it was made for me. Of course I will not give you my real name and info as I write this. I was hesitant to write this but after reading similar reviews that other women had I knew it wasn't just me. I had gone in with a few people like most women do for trying on dresses. I had an idea of what I wanted and even did the online profile. As we get to the shop yes it was a Saturday and we DID have an appointment. We go to check in a told he had to wait a few min...ok no biggie. 30 min later still waiting so I go back up to the counter and ask what's going on and that we had an appointment. I was told rudely by some little worker that they can't kick people out and that we would have to wait...umm No. I stated we had and appointment and I get having to wait a few min but not we are going on to 45 min and still waiting. Finally we get a spot and it was just horrible from then on. We got such major attitude for questions we asked and then on top WE are being rush. "I'm sorry but since it took longer your appointment will only be 45min" . Are you kidding me? So we stayed the time since we waited. We ended up going to another shop called Wolsfelts Bridal and had an amazing time.. and they were on time and such a joy to work with. From outside, this shop does not seem like much. But step inside, and you are treated so much better than any other dress shop I've been in (and I've been a bridesmaid seven times!) When I went to pick out my bridal gown, I only knew I didn't want anything huge or full of embellishments. That was it. The girl (I'm sorry, I don't remember your name!) was so helpful and pulled a ton of dresses (which was quite impressive in itself, considering I'm a 20/22!) The second dress I tried on was the one I ultimately picked. Alterations were a breeze and I loved that they did not rush me into alterations as soon as the dress came in (we all know those brides that had to have everything redone, right?!) My alterations were done once and were perfect. It was a little nerve-racking, considering I was picking up my dress a week before the wedding, but the confidence they had made me feel better. Again, being a plus-size bride, you expect poor sample sizes and horrible fitting experiences, but that is not the case here. I'm getting married!!!! I made an appointment a few months ago to try on dresses. This was my very first time trying on wedding dresses and Here Comes the Bride was very accommodating. I had an idea of what I wanted so a few dresses were pulled for me to try. It seems I have expensive taste as a lot of the dresses were way over my budget. It was then suggested that I look at bridesmaid dresses as those were cheaper and could always be ordered in white/ivory. I came here to shop for bridesmaid dresses with 3 of my bridesmaids. The girl that helped us (whom I later found out was a manager) seemed slightly annoyed and had to be hunted down almost every time we had a question. To her defense I had squeezed in an appointment that same morning, so the store was busy when we arrived. I had a wonderful experience when I worked with Era to try and find a wedding gown. She was amazing and she alone deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, due to a last minute change in the style that I wanted, I ended up picking a dress somewhere else. I called back a couple weeks later because I wanted to have my 7 bridesmaids go in and try on two very specific dresses that I found online. I figured that since I had a great experience the first time, I should go back a second time but now for the bridesmaid dresses. When I contacted the store to make an appointment, they told me that there is a $25 fee "to hold, secure and allow you to try the dresses, as well as having a consultant to help you." I later called them to see if this fee could be waived since I was returning with a lot of my business and also because I have never heard of a store charging a customer to just try on dresses... They told me that if you purchase the dresses then the fee is waived. But I'm already spending a ton of money on a WEDDING so why on earth would I spend $25 when I don't know how I will feel about the dress in person? Unfortunately, Rose made it pretty clear that this is company policy, that she is unable to waive the fee, and that they've been doing this for the past year. Sad to say this put a bad taste in my mouth and they lost all of my business. read more

Walking into Here Comes the Bride, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but Era was there to calm all my worries and help me find my dream gown! I was shopping just after the busy holiday season, but making an appointment and getting a fitting room turned out to be no problem. During the appointment, Era looked at pictures of gowns I liked and picked up several that were within my budget and exactly the all over lace look I was looking for! Within the first few dresses, I had found THE dress! I have to add in a special note for the alterations team at Here Comes the Bride. When my dress came in, it turned out to be a little small and I was completely panicked. The seamstress was able to let the dress out in all the right places, and even turned around the hem and bustle within the same weekend to accommodate my out of town wedding. I can't remember ever having been treated so rudely by a business in which I'm spending over $2000. Although my daughter is happy with her dress and accessories, I have to agree with other reviewers who mention mothers-of-the-bride being ignored or treated as a nuisance. I was pretty much only acknowledged when it came time to sign the credit card receipt. I think this is because I tried to ask too many questions and dared to point out things that needed fixing on the sample "one-of-a-kind" dress they were selling my daughter. Unfortunately, she is easily convinced by salespeople, which I think they pick up on, so she also ended up with a veil that is a different color than the dress, just because it was in stock. I also agree with others who say the shop is a mess, with dresses just crammed on racks. i'm sure there are FAR better places to find a wedding gown. read more

The consultant told me to start picking out dresses and she would start a fitting room for me. I actually like picking out my own dresses instead of having someone find them for me, so this was a major plus. I tried on many dresses that were a good fit and perfect for my budget. I wasn't so sure about this shop when I arrived - it's in a strip mall and kind of looks like David's Bridal. :( However, I was really pleased with the selection once we were in the dressing room. The two women working were both nice and friendly. They didn't seem particularly engaged, but they weren't pushy either, which was nice. I told them that I wanted a simple dress, and they brought me plenty that fit the description. I found two that I really liked, and they were much less expensive than I expected. That was also a nice change! The store is a sample shop; however, the two dresses I picked out (both Nicole Miller) were dresses that are ordered from the designer. This is obviously a plus, since you then get a dress that has never been worn and is your size. All in all, I had a fine experience here. Nothing special, but I really appreciated that I was not pushed or pressured (as I've heard a lot of brides are at other shops). And, I may have found my dress here! read more

My best friend and sister both bought their dresses from here so I knew I would end up here as well. I love that you can look through the dresses yourself. Some bridal shops only let their associates pull dresses. For me, I wasn't really sure what I wanted so it was helpful to look at the dresses rather than try to explain to someone what I thought I would like based on pictures in a magazine. I worked with Hadi and she was so great. She was honest and patient and also really listened to all my feedback. This was the second bridal shop I went to. I tried on numerous dresses and found "the one" here, back in December. Samantha was my consultant and helped me into numerous types of dresses. I had an idea of what I wanted based on photos I saw online, but once I tried them on-it wasn't what I wanted. Samantha gave her honest opinions and listened to what I liked and/or didn't like about each dress. I finally found a dress and even teared up a bit! It wasn't in my budget but Samantha worked with me and helped get it to the amount closest to what I could afford. I still went a little over my budget but it wasn't extreme. Rose (and Diane in particular, who I worked with all along the way) are amazing. I had read some reviews about their shop, located in a sort of non-descript strip mall in Addison just off 290 and Army Trail Rd. I knew there are hundreds of gorgeous dresses to fall in love with out there...I just didn't want to spend hours and days pining away for the *perfect* dress and never quite achieving it. I wanted to find something reasonably priced and special, and not spend a fortune on it. I had read that HCTB (Here Comes the Bride) carries designer samples and was hoping to find something perhaps even off the rack. Well, Diane helped me to accomplish that goal. Originally I had tried on about 20 dresses total, and came back to HCTB to finalize my decision. Diane and Rose totally remembered me and were so helpful and honest. I tried on the frontrunner again--a very simple strapless ivory dress with a ruched bodice and a-line. I asked Diane if I could try a couple more dresses that were more glamorous, just to solidify in my mind that what I had chosen was "the" dress. She brought me a sample (by Jasmine, not a label I recognized) and said they had just gotten it in. I tried it on and that became the stunning dress I eventually purchased. For only $700, it was an absolute steal. Strapless ivory with ruching down the bodice, beautiful beadwork (just enough) on the top of the dress, and an a-line skirt opening up to reveal a little English netting, that looked almost like airy feathers from afar, down one side and underneath the dress. I also purchased a perfect veil for the dress from HCTB--Rose discounted the price for me and it worked out just beautifully. I had so many compliments on my wedding day and felt absolutely like a princess...I could not have asked for a more stunning, special, gorgeous dress. And their seamstress/tailor Rudy is fantastic. I spent half the cost of the dress on alterations, but it was totally worth it. Her work is impeccable. She even took an email from me with a photo of the neckline we were going to adjust and replicated what I was looking for perfectly. I am SO glad I found them. I found Here Comes a Bride through Yelp. After reading the mostly positive reviews, I decided to go in and give it a try since my wedding was eight months away. The store is a bit far, but it is easy to find. It is located in a strip mall, and it has a big "(here comes the) BRIDE" sign above it. I went with one of my bridesmaids, and we were immediately greeted by Diane. She let us peruse through the dresses. My BM and I found some dresses that matched the kind of dress that I wanted--close, but no cigar. Diane asked if she could see the kind of dress that I envisioned for myself, and she let me use her laptop to go through some photos that I bookmarked for myself. She took a look, went to the back of the store, and brought out a dress and told me that this might work. I tried it on, and it was exactly what I wanted! I didn't like the original sash too much, and she quickly grabbed a floral sash from the front of the store. I liked this one so much better, but it was pretty pricey; Diane offered to switch it out for free. I ended up finding the dress for a lower price at another store; I explained my budget to Diane, and she consulted with Rose and let me know that she and Rose were willing to match the lower price once they confirmed that it was true. They called the other store, confirmed the price, and matched it! I ordered my dress at the end of December and got it mid-April. It is everything I wanted. The ladies at the store are very accommodating and understanding of people's different circumstances. Very happy customer here, and I'll recommend them to others! :) read more

This was the first place I made an appointment and I was close to coming back a second time to re-scope their dresses. You could easily miss this place by the location it is in, but it is worth a look! The owner and manager were very friendly and attentive (5 stars there) They had the most competitive pricing for the quality hands down if you bought your dress off the rack which were in better condition than a HOB or DB. If you bought it new, I still think the dresses you could order there for the price point were a better bargain. They had some unique dresses I didn't see anywhere else and really, I was close to coming back but then i ended up finding the one. This is by far the best bridal shop I have ever been to! I've been a bridesmaid several times, and recently got married, so I've had to endure my fair share of dress shopping. I had a lot of anxiety about shopping for my own wedding dress, it was a pretty emotional and stressful thing for me because A) I can't make decisions to save my life, and B) I was on a tight budget. Here Comes the Bride made my dress shopping experience so easy and enjoyable and was absolutely worth the trip out to the suburbs from the city. This was the first of three bridal appointments I had in the same weekend, and right from the beginning I felt like Diane and Rose definitely knew what they were doing and that maybe this wouldn't be as stressful as I imagined. Diane listened to what I was looking for and was very respectful of my budget - pulling 8-10 dresses for me and letting me pick some on my own. Halfway through the appointment, I joked with my MOH that I needed a gold sequin dress, because most of the dresses I was trying on just weren't wowing me, and Diane immediately pulled a beautiful, perfect, champagne colored lace dress covered in sequins. It was PERFECT! The only issue was that I was set on having straps on my dress and this one was strapless, but they assured me they could create whatever I wanted. I went to two more appointments that weekend at other stores and just didn't have the same experience I did at Here Comes the Bride - I ended up returning a few days later, alone, and made the decision that the dress Diane picked for me was my dress!! Alterations were great, timely, and affordable. I ended up spending about $1,400 on my dress, which was more than I wanted to spend, but I don't regret it at all. I went here a couple years ago and left without being helped. Apparently, you need to have an appointment to be helped. The ladies that were there seemed snobby from what I remember. That's why I didn't schedule an appointment. They did let me look at their selection of dresses on my own though. They had some beautiful dresses, but I'm the type of person that won't buy if I don't like the service, so I didn't purchase a dress there. I am so happy I came in! First, they were fantastic when I booked the appointment. I was very upfront about the range I was looking in. The owner suggested I email them a few photos of what style I was interested so that they could narrow it down before I even came in. The shop and fitting rooms had tons of space which was great. The selection was the best of any of store I visited. Plus there were quite a few dresses in my range. The saleswoman, Amelia, was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and really understood what I was looking for. She even found a belt very similar to one in a photo I sent her that loved. We really love this place!! Our entire experience was amazing, we ended up buying my daughter's wedding dress the first time we walked into their shop after going to about 4 other different places. Our consultant, Dianne was a gem, she was honest, so helpful, extremely sweet & most importantly not pushy.
