Food was delicious and amazing! It was a big pricey compared to the quantity you get but the taste is good. We came all the way from the OC to try it since my husband said he heard the place was good. Staff was a nice guy and helped us cook it. He came back every so often to make sure it didn't burn. I guess they can work on asking if we wanted refills on banchan But overall, we enjoyed the experience. It seems locals come here with family, friends, and even after golfing. It was a nice atmosphere We will be back

Tonight we had a family dinner at Jinju Galbi. I had been here once a few years ago and remembered the food was delicious and the service was friendly, so we decided to come back. Our server, Kay, was absolutely amazing and made the entire experience so enjoyable. I love dipping my meat in sesame oil, and even though I didn't ask, she noticed and kindly brought some over on her own. She was incredibly attentive and thoughtful--truly top-notch service. The pork ribs and pork belly were also fantastic. We'll definitely be coming back often.

We went to Jinju Korean BBQ for pork galbi and pork belly. I can't really say which one is my favorite because they are neck and neck we wouldn't which is better. They are both so good and this place has really good quality meat with very compelling price too. I feel always satisfied after have a meal here. Our server Kay were very much attentive and so fast. She know what need even before we were asking. Kay is very kind, sweet and good person and she made the dininig experience to another level. Also, Jenny who work work there long time and because she is being there, this place makes all better. We will definitely going back and sooner than last time. How I forgot this place...

Small Korean Barbecue place in the middle of Koreatown But big in flavor and service We order 2 different beefs options and requested low in sodium and still was fabulous. The brisket slices and the Prime rib eye ,all with the fat inside were incredible and for me was my first time eating Korean. We asked for the side of steam egg that was very tasteful The waiter was all the time over us and helping understand the process and giving us recommendation how to eat this delicacy. Parking was difficult but finally we found a spot. Nice place to go to wider your culinary experiences

Fantastic Korean OG BBQ! Fresh meats, great service, and vibe--Jin Ju never disappoints.

Had my birthday dinner here with my boyfriend and honestly couldn't have picked a better spot We ordered the marinated pork ribs, thick-cut pork belly, and freshwater eel -- and everything hit the spot! The eel was next-level. One of the staff grilled it for us right at the table, and it came out perfectly crispy on the outside and buttery tender inside. Not even a hint of fishiness -- just clean, rich flavor. The thick-cut pork belly was juicy and full of flavor. Also grilled at the table, and you could tell the quality of the meat was solid. As for the pork ribs -- I know other places in K-town are more "famous" for them, but honestly, Jin Ju deserves just as much hype. Deliciously marinated, definitely worth trying. Oh -- and the steamed egg. We're both really picky when it comes to steamed egg, but this one was perfect. Fluffy, clean, no weird aftertaste. Easily one of the best we've had in K-town. ‍ The staff was great -- really friendly and attentive. They made the whole meal feel even more special, which meant a lot since it was a birthday dinner. Small tip: they offer a 4% discount if you pay with cash. The closest ATM isn't super close, so bring some cash ahead of time if you can. Parking in K-town can be tricky, but this place is totally worth the effort. All in all, a super memorable birthday meal. We'll definitely be back -- the eel, the steamed egg, the whole vibe -- Jin Ju's officially on our regular rotation now. Truly a hidden gem in K-town.

Jin Ju is located in a sketchy area of East LA on the outskirts of Koreatown. The establishment has a small valet parking lot and most diners are locals as who would go there right? The meat quality is very good and the helpful staff cook the meats for you - regularly flipping and cutting the meat for you into bite size pieces. They' even trim the burnt carcinogenic end pieces away for you to eat. We had the Beef Brisket, Seafood Pancake, and Marinated Pork Ribs. Our favorite was the Brisket, then Pork Ribs (a little dry but tasty - suggest Pork Belly) and the Seafood Pancake (expensive and not enough seafood but plenty of green onions). The meal comes with Banchan, Steamed Egg Custard, and Salad. No rice paper though. Service excellent however we'll probably try other KBBQ places before going back.

Just finished dinner! Food + service was so warm and fuzzy!!! The sisters gave us peanuts to eat with our soju! Feels like having dinner at home with mom and mom.

The food here was pretty standard for kbbq I'd say. I enjoyed the rice dish and short ribs here the most. The service was very attentive. It was nice for a quick easy KBBQ experience.

After the nurse john show at the wilshire ebell theatre we were looking for a Korean bbq restaurant nearby and found jin ju. The area at night was a lil isolated and .maybe.. scary . But we didn't want to wait an hour for dinner and decided to stay at the hole in the wall. If u let them know u r a yelper..u get a free soda..yay! I must say .the restroom was surprisingly clean. The workers were so friendly . We chose the brisket, beef'marinated ribs and bulgogi chicken. The brisket ... blew me away. I can taste the fresh beef and lime a slightly charred taste. Nothing I've had before. And the salad... had a little nutty taste.. soo good. Just these alone was sooo worth the visit. . Need to go back. It also came with so many side dishes. Thank u for also cooking it for us on their wok in front of us.

I think I've been coming here for a very, very long time--probably for about 20 years! I used to come here quite often back then. At some point, though, I stopped coming as much because the parking situation in this shopping center became so busy and chaotic that it was difficult to even get in from the entrance. Also, the last time I came here, maybe two years ago, the valet parking attendant was so rude that I didn't really feel like coming back. This time, since we were already in the area for the spa, we decided to stop by again. Back when I first started coming here, it was just a very small noodle restaurant. One thing they've kept all these years--and what I think is such a great touch--is that they still serve yeolmu kimchi and kkom-bori-bap (barley rice) as a complimentary side. The restaurant became incredibly popular over the years and eventually expanded into the neighboring space, so there are now many more tables than there used to be. Since it had been such a long time since my last visit, I noticed they had quite a few new menu items that weren't available before, including galbi-jjim (braised short ribs), samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup), and galbi noodle soup. One of my brothers and I ordered the perilla oil makguksu each, and it was absolutely delicious! It had such a rich, nutty flavor from the perilla oil, and it was one of those dishes that makes you think about it again later. In the past, I would always order the clam kalguksu whenever I came here, but this time I decided to try something different. My other brother ordered the clam kalguksu, and my mom had the dolsot (Hot stone) bibimbap. I tried a spoonful of my mom's dolsot bibimbap because I really like bibimbap too, and it was delicious as well. In the past, the wait here used to be incredibly long. You had to write your name and phone number by hand at the entrance, and then a staff member would come outside and call your name when your table was ready. This time, the system was different. We were told to simply wait in line, and she would take our orders outside. She said the wait would only be about 5-10 minutes, and she was absolutely right. While we were waiting in line outside, she handed us menus, took our orders, and then seated us at our table. The food came out quickly, the service was very friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious. It turned out to be a very satisfying dinner. After coming back here again after such a long time, I completely understood why this place has been so popular for so many years. It was just as popular back then as it is now, and honestly, I can see why!

On top of that, the interior is clean, cute, and very well-kept. Parking is quite limited, though--even with valet service, it gets super congested. There's almost always a long line, as it seems like a must-try spot for anyone visiting LA. Because of that, getting a table is usually pretty tough, but we got so lucky last Sunday and were seated right away. The food was absolutely divine, and we left completely satisfied. Honestly, I almost wish fewer people knew about this place so I could come more often. They're just that good.

Service is quite slow, as a true mom and pop place. It's quite popular and we happened to get there just before the rush as there was a large group waiting when we left. I'm not sure why it takes quite so long for the boribap jungsik cold dishes since most of it is premade and just needs plating. For a long time all we got was fried kelp crackers, kinda greasy fried shrimp cracker (?) and scorched rice water that was very tough to eat. The sweet pumpkin porridge was better, but I'm not a fan of sweet porridge. The rest of the set was better, fortunately, but most of it was on par with banchan that is complimentary at other restaurants but of course more variety. The savory pancake was very crispy and stayed that way. That was probably my favorite from the set, along with the perilla seed and chicken soup. The texture was quite thick like gravy but I love congee and it had a similar feel but nuttier taste. I would love a bowl of this if I were sick. Since there were 3 of us, we thought a protein would be good so we ordered the pork ribs. They were pretty good. It reminded me of hamji park, although I prefer hamji. It ended up being more food than we could eat so we took some of the ribs home. I'm glad we ordered the set for 2 and then shared a different dish. Overall I'm glad I tried it since I've been curious. The meal was good but I probably would try another option next time.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
