This place is soooo good. Ordered 4 rolls and they were all flavorful. The service we received at 12 am was great as well. There's free parking and do last call at 1am. If you're around the area, try them out! The place is pretty too :)

Here Fishy Fishy is a solid AYCE choice in ktown. the service is always consistent & i like how attentive the waiters are, even on a friday night! the quality of fish is impressive for AYCE. i like how big the menu is too, i've only been 2x & havent tried everything on the menu. the ambience is very late night vibes, with neon lights & music videos constantly playing on the screen. i believe they close super late too! parking is valet

Had the best experience. AYCE with a huge selection of nigiri, sushi rolls, baked sushi rolls, crunch rolls and appetizers. There was a large selection of classic rolls in addition to specialty rolls with fun, novelty names. They even serve half rolls so you don't fill up on one roll and can try more. With the AYCE they allow one item per person from the Hello Fish Specials and a few other items but unlimited quantities of everything else. Everything tasted very fresh and was beautifully presented. The most amazing thing was that the nigiri was a large portion of fish on a small mound of rice. Service was helpful, friendly, and fast. The server made other recommendations for items they were out of and recommended other things we hadn't considered. Empty plates were constantly being cleared. The space has a sushi bar and tables inside with a small outdoor patio space. We were seated outside and were concerned that the servers wouldn't come around as often but they were always at the ready. Parking is a small, shared lot with valet but we were all able to find parking on the street. All over great experience. What a find!

No because how is this place not reviewed 5/5? Incredible food with quality fish. No notes. Worth the all you can eat prices. The sushi are basically nigiri pieces that have a large fish portion. The specials are so unique. Beautiful romantic date night vibes inside. Also great for a girls night out. Quick seating. Friendliest top tier servers.

Came to Here Fishy Fishy around 1 AM and we were literally the only ones there, which made the experience even better. They offer AYCE and for $80 total for two people ($40 each), it was honestly so worth it. The fish was super fresh; you can really taste the quality. The nigiri had that clean, buttery texture and didn't have any fishy aftertaste at all. Each piece was well-proportioned with just the right balance of rice to fish. We ordered so many nigiris and rolls and everything kept coming out fresh. The rolls were really yummy too; packed with flavor, not overloaded with rice, and the ingredients tasted crisp and well-prepared. Nothing felt sloppy or rushed. The ambiance was really nice! It was well-lit, clean, and had a cozy late-night vibe. Even though it was 1 AM, everything felt bright and welcoming. The service was amazing. They were quick, attentive, and kept checking on us without being overbearing. They refilled our waters twice without us even asking and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. Overall, such a solid late-night sushi spot. Fresh fish, good portions, great service, and totally worth the price for AYCE. Definitely coming back.

We stopped by here after a pop up event next door. Sadly we were too full to go for the AYCE option but I hope to come back soon to try that. We instead opted for a la carte and were so happy with the rolls we picked. My favorite roll was the White Lady - I just love the taste and aroma of a freshly seared roll! Definitely can't wait to try their AYCE option next time.

I'm not sure what to have for dinner, while I was walking in the area I stopped by and grab something light. Bought two orders of ala Carte sushi roll- Dragon and spider crab. Way too much of imitation crabs inside. It's not good. Service was okay and the place is just fine. I'm not really excited about this place.

Arrived at 7:30 on a Friday and had dinner with a childhood friend and we had a blast. She's a regular here and mentioned she comes often for her family dinner nights. As an all you can eat offering as generous as the one here, I understand why! The menu is packed with tons of great options! As a girl who shys away from rolls and sticks to nigiri and sashimi, I was really impressed with the quality of all the fish I had. Naturally, the raw salmon sashimi was my favorite! The best part about us both getting all you can eat I was introducing my friend to the raw stuff. She normally orders the rolls and cooked items, but it was great getting her out of her comfort zone. I'm sure she will pass her new found raw nigiri knowledge over to her family. I also loved she screaming orgasm and toro! Cute little night out with my friend! I'm sure I'll be back again very soon.

This is my go-to spot for all-you-can-eat sushi because of the great quality and wide variety of options. But the reason I wanted to leave a review this time isn't just about the food. On Wednesday, I accidentally left my USB at the restaurant. At first, when I called, the staff couldn't find it. I tried again later, and one of the employees told me they had found it and kept it safe for me. I was so relieved, that USB had all of my wedding photos on it, and if I had lost it, I don't know what I would have done. I'm extremely grateful for the staff's honesty and kindness. Because of this experience, I'll definitely keep coming back even more often.

Is this AYCE ok with removing cream cheese from a roll if I don't want it?

yes you may remove the cream cheese if you don't like. you will able to remove stuff but adding items that it doesn't originally have will cost extra ! (:

    Whats the dress attire? Casual?

    Casual

I'd read that some premium items like uni or oysters are not included in AYCE during lunch? Is that still true since they're only open weekend lunch now? And if so which items?

    Is this place kid friendly?

Hi Chery, Thanks for asking. Yes, there is no dangerous points for kids but we sell alcohol. So, I recommend you to bring your kids in lunch time to enjoy the best sushi AYCE!

I love sushi and sashimi but my hubby doesn't like raw fish. He only eats grilled fish or fried fish. Can we order one person for AYCE and him for appetizers like skewers n udon? If not, I won't visit. No intention to save $. Want to enjoy both

From my experience with AYCE at this and other places, either everyone at your table or no one gets AYCE Sushi. They don't want to have to monitor if the others are sneaking bites of sushi. There are cooked options for sushi.

Is it true that there is no fresh fish for AYCE now? So there is not uni or fresh fish sushi or roll too? A recent review seems to indicate it is not the same as the video blogs people have posted of this AYCE special. The menu online current then?

Hi that is not true! There is fresh fish, sushi and uni everyday; toro, salmon belly, oysters & etc. Everything in the menu is included in AYCE except for sashimi and drinks. Sushi, nigiri, rolls appetizers etc. are included in AYCE. Hope this…

Hello do you offer brown rice with your sushi?

Do you HAVE to order AYCE? Or can you order single rolls?

There's single rolls and sashimi. I actually would recommend a lot of the fried stuff or anything that leans heavily on sauce.

Can you accommodate reservation for 20? I tried making a reservation via Yelp and it caps me at 10.

Hi Lou, yes we do accommodate for larger parties. Please give us a call to reserve and we will happily do so for you!

How much is AyCE for lunch?

    39.50

Hello, do you offer outdoor dining?

Yes we do have outdoor dining.

Does this place accept reservations? I called the number on Yelp and it wasn't working.

Yes, you can make a reservation through Yelp.

The sea urchins one is creamy and VERY RICH. The cream sauce bend in really well with the sea urchins. But definitely not something you would order if you are on a weaker stomach. The duck udon is flavorful with plenty of meat. The soup pair perfectly with the udon as well. There was a line outside before it opened. But not too bad. They got a little eating area outside right next to the street and I saw people ate there with their dog as well. I guess that they are "kinda" dog friendly?

Udon noodles were good, but it was not excellent. It did have light chewy texture. BUT in comparison to Meiji Seimen, it fell short, really short! I was disappointed. BEEF BOWL It was delicious! Beef was tender and moist and loved the caramelized onion too. Rice was delicious too, not dry nor mushy. Served with pickled red ginger. A very satisfying bowl. Sat at the bar, so watched them make udon from scratch, which was nice. WAIT LIST There was a line when I got there, just as it opened. It wasn't long, but everyone wrote their name down on a wait list. There's a sheet of paper placed on the table outside. Please write your name down ASAP, as that will help in making sure that you will grab a seat. Also, the lines are disorganized too, so it's best to write down your name, so no one cuts in front of you. It is a small restaurant. Limited seats. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was okay. Everyone got in the restaurant in the order they came in. Service was quick and there were no delays in taking orders. The server came by quickly and dropped off the check as she saw that I was nearly finished with my meal. PARKING Parked at Joe's Autoparks. It was $15! I did not know until after I paid the ticket. Very difficult to find parking in this area, so not many options unless you want to walk really far, back to your car in 90 degree heat. There was another parking garage next to Joe's, but the price was the same! Would I come back again? Not sure. Given that the udon wasn't what I expected, it may be my last time here. Also, parking sucks.

The vibe is awesome inside; there's lofi playing at a nice level and the lighting is beautiful. It feels like an elevated experience right when you walk in. We didn't wait long as it was a Sunday afternoon, and our waitress was so helpful in deciding what to order (the menu is extensive!). We got the baked scallop roll, the crunch spider roll, and the Baja California roll. All three were amazing!!!! We also got spicy tuna crispy rice and the gyoza to start. I am not joking when I say they were the best restaurant gyoza I've had in Los Angeles. Juicy, warm, nice golden crisp on the bottom, and flavorful filling. The baked scallop roll was my personal favorite of the three; it was warm and savory, with an excellent bite from the juicy scallops. It was a great contrast to the Baja roll, which is cold and has crunchy elements to it. And the spider roll was one I didn't expect to like (my boyfriend wanted it), but ended up being my second favorite! The soft shell crab flavor is deliciously salty and pairs great with the surrounding flavors. I'll definitely be back for more!

I've been eyeing n/naka for 4 years and each year we would try to snatch up a reservation but they would disappear within minutes and when we finally were so lucky to get a reservation (I literally cheered) I could absolutely see why eating at this establishment is highly desired. There was parking down the street toward the neighborhood and upon showing up at the front doors there was a line of people waiting for their time slot, we were checked in one by one and seated. This restaurant is pretty small but it has a great calming ambience and feels intimate. The staff is very attentive and friendly and I loved learning about n/naka's history since we came during their anniversary and got to taste some of their creations throughout the years. We loved that with each dish there was a meaning behind each one, and honestly most course meal places we've been to are very similar but n/naka's courses were unique and we tasted a good amount of items that were very new to us. It's so hard to describe each dish that we had, because we were so pleasantly surprised by their unique flavors and techniques. Plating of the food was so pleasing to the eye and done with meticulous care. All the food was cooked perfectly and even the simplest dishes such as clam soup warmed the heart. Some standouts I noted was the fish dish on if I remember correctly a bed of Kambu (seaweed) and these home grown peas, supremely the best peas I've ever had in my life. The ice cream/sorbet with the side crumble was so so good. The opening dish (the one with the flower cracker laid on top) and the carrot cake looking item was very unique and tasty. I also was very impressed by their I believe it was some sort of freeze dried soy sauce if I can remember, that was so unique to the palate. This may sound silly, but my partner and I were absolutely amazed by the palate cleanser halfway through the meal, we have had many palate cleansers at fine dining restaurants, but none like this one. Generally palate cleansers are tart and I would say help reset the palate at 50-60%. But this tapioca and fruit palate cleanser was the best we've ever had. It was light, crisp, refreshing and it literally eliminated the taste of everything we had previously eaten at a 100% efficacy rate. I've never felt my mouth feel that clean and pure--it was astounding. We both were truly in awe. The staff were really so polite and attentive. At the end of the meal we saw Chef Niki walking around to the tables and felt so special when she dropped by. Our conversation was short but wow, you can tell Chef Niki is a very genuine and humble person. She makes you feel so comfortable in conversation and with her extraordinary gesture, she just makes you feel so special and appreciated. It was hard to explain this experience because the euphoria just lasted for days, weeks, if not months. We told all our friends about n/naka and I hope they'll one day be able to have that experience as well. We thank Chef Niki and her team so much for making our 4th anniversary the best one! And hopes she can take breaks when she can, she deserves it and more!

Seasonal ingredients from Japan and California are used to curate the finest delicacies. Therefore you're likely to try various specials with the changing seasons. I loved the Zensai which presented 7 small palate warming appetizer bites. Comes in a cute bento box like format. The creamy potato puree and tempura bites were my favorites. For the main course, I absolutely loved the Uni and Dungeness crab....so exceptional. Served in an actual Uni shell and filled with warm Dungeness crab meat and broth, egg white soufflé, and topped with a whole Uni. This should be their top dish. Another phenomenal course was the Rockfish. The fish complimented very well with the snap peas and kelp which brought out the flavor of the rockfish. Perfect!!! Shiizakana is their signature dish which made its debut on chef's table and served year round. An abalone truffle pasta. This was good but for me personally wasn't a highlight. Overall a good experience. At dinners end, chef Niki Nakayama came out personally to share our experiences. We got to meet the artist that curated this amazing dinner. Thank you Chef! Loved the experience. Get on that wait list ASAP!

We had an rsvp but wasn't busy when we arrived. Was sat immediately and served water. They have a pretty extensive menu of most things you'd find at a sushi cut roll spot. We ended up ordering the toro garlic toast, veggie tempura, ginza roll, and several pieces of nigiri sushi. The toro garlic toast was pretty good - sort of like a spicy tuna crispy rice situation ... but a little fattier and more garlicky than crispy. The ginza roll was pretty good too - a lot of fish in the roll and wasn't overwhelming with too much sauce. The tempura was good too- not super oily and all your typical veg involved. The nigiri sushi were pretty well prepared. The size was pretty good for the price - and each were accompanied by a small garnish on top or a little bit of sauce brushed on. All in all - I wouldn't say it's a date night place, but is a good easy eats sushi spot for rolls and nigiri for the price. Would recommend!

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! 4.8…read more Hatch is located on the ground level of The Bloc, an open-air shopping center in downtown Los Angeles. The restaurant offers outdoor seating overlooking the lovely green turf and provides tall heaters for cooler evenings. My husband made lunch reservations here and told me it was just a quick 10-15 minute walk from our hotel, The Ritz-Carlton. We crossed a few intersections to get there, and it was well worth the walk. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming host. The ambiance is light and airy, featuring high ceilings, light-colored walls, and light wood furnishings. The overall aesthetic is clean, modern, and very inviting. We stopped in for a late lunch and ordered the "Eggcellent Lunch" prix fixe, which included the following: *Tuna Tataki Handroll ~ seared wild caught tuna, tomato & shallot salsa, rayu chili oil, ponzu, micro cilantro *Seaweed Salad ~ w/minced garlic. Served alongside the Tuna Tataki Handroll *Squid Ink Karaage ~ 2-day brined fried chicken thighs, squid ink, house pickles, grilled lime, black garlic ranch *Chicken Breast Skewer ~ char siu marinade, black sesame *Bacon Shishito Skewer ~ applewood smoked bacon *Chicken Meatball Skewer ~ sous vide egg yolk & tare dip Bottom line, everything had visual appeal and was packed with flavor! If we lived locally, we would definitely return for dinner. I have no doubt the rest of the menu would be just as tasty, and I can only imagine the restaurant coming alive in the evening with a lively crowd, happy diners, and a well-stocked bar.

Hatch is situated in an outdoor mall and is a very nice space. The food we had here was fantastic,…read moredrinks are also strong and yummy. They served each thing we got pretty quickly. Still did not feel rushed. Bacon-wrapped Shishito- 5/5 sooo yummy my favorite bite of the night. thigh + green onion- 5/5 a classic, delicious and not too heavy. Chicken meatball- 5/5 I was surprised at how much I liked this one. Very juicy but not overwhelmingly meaty. Porkbelly- 5/5 another classic very yummy and i liked the wasabi? they put on top white prawn- 0/5 : this was NOT good. my only skip of the night left a gross fishy flavor in my mouth. I did not enjoy mushroom party- 5/5 i love mushrooms so I adored this one. Great assortment. Ribs- 4/5 very sweet would suggest getting a veggie to cut the sweetness and richness. Overall very yummy. A wonderful experience. I would love to come back. The drinks were also strong and yummy!
