They also allow each person to ordered a specialty item once at no charge (which includes uni, for all my uni lovers out there). There is a parking lot adjacent to the area so parking isn't terrible. Had a great experience here before, so we decided to come back! Some things have definitely changed but the good news is, the quality of fish is not one of them! The AYCE price has increased to $54.99, and there was no HH specials on a Saturday night like last time. However, Soju prices decreased to $10 which is a really reasonable price. The menu has changed as well- we did the section of special orders where it's one per person and those dishes have changed - but all were FANTASTIC. Especially the salmon with orange, soft shelled crab, and this tuna with truffle. I also loved the crispy rice with spicy tuna, and their sashimi is unparalleled. Fresh, huge pieces of fish with just a little bit of rice underneath- a perfect balance! I ate my full of sashimi and did one simple salmon roll which was delicious. One of our last faves was the appetizer sushi tacos and we got them again- but I think they changed the dressing on them. I wasn't a fan of the mayo dressing on the salmon, and the tuna was tossed in something kinda tangy but the shrimp was delicious. Still love those little crispy wonton bites though! I haven't tried any other ayce sushi spots in LA so this was my first one :-) I really liked the unique nigiri styles they serve here - most places don't have sushi like this. Came to this spot for the AYCE sushi, and walking in the place looks cool. The space was not very big, so we ended up getting sat upstairs. There were TVs and cool lighting but it was too dark and muggy. The menu had several options, so we started out with veggie and shrimp tempura and a bunch of skewers, the best being the bacon wrapped asparagus and poke tacos. The service was good and helpful. The table had a button so we could call if we needed anything, so that was nice. The favorite sashimi were the tuna, yuzu yellowtail, salmon, and albacore. I didn't realize it was all you can eat, and opted for the al la carte option, but if I could go back, I'd do all you can eat (which I think is around $50ish a person). Upon getting seated, I immediately placed a quick order freshwater eel nigiri because my nephew was literally hangry and that's his favorite. $48.50/person | $24 between 3-8 yo | $3 under 3 yo as of 2.24.2024 We enjoyed a selection of nigiri from lemon and garlic salmon, scallop, freshwater eel, tuna and one piece each of their premium items which were toro, ebi shrimp, red snapper, uni, baked mussels, salmon belly and carpaccio. We didn't try any rolls cause it's just silly to fill up on rice, spicy tuna, and imitation crab at AYCE. Salmon, freshwater eel, toro, baked mussel, and scallops were faves. Thick and long cut of fish over a somewhat minimal bed of rice. Tuna was not a fave or the uni; a bit too fishy. I also found the rice to be a bit inconsistent where some nigiri pieces had mushy/overcooked rice. My cousin and I fought over the bill, so I blindly gave them my CC without seeing the bill assuming they would charge for two adults and the additional $3 for the toddler. They charged us $24 for him which was quickly reconciled and the charge was voided. Service was prompt and somewhat attentive. A little on the smaller side in terms of how much space they have. The seating is kinda crammed but you can learn to ignore it if you try really hard. Rule of thumb for this place is if you go when they are not busy, you'll be alright. If you go when they're even mildly busy, you'll be close enough to eat off of the other table's plate. I understand wanting to offer more seating in your establishment, but this felt a little ridiculous. Two of the tables are literally in front of the entrance. The sushi and food in general was good. It matches the price point for sure, but it was a good experience nonetheless. You can definitely taste the difference if you go to a more prominent sushi spot. One of my favorite all you can eat ayce sushi joint that are accessible within the downtown LA or Koreatown area. For dinner, each person will cost $48 which is a reasonable price when compared to most other ayce sushi places. This joint is one of my favorites because of its experimental styles with the basic nigiri that you get and for the late night ambience and vibes. There are several TVs lining the walls of music videos on play and fun, neon signs and decorations that line the ceiling and interior. The servers are very enthusiastic and friendly. I love starting my night with their specialty menu which explodes in your mouth with such bombastic flavors and fun presentations. When ordering nigiri, I always choose the spiced up options, such as the lemon or garlic salmon and the paprika albacore, etc. Depending on the night, their fish will vary in freshness and quality. However, for the most part it's pretty decent. I primarily find their combinations to be unique in their value and ones I haven't really seen in an ayce before. For all you can eat, they do not provide sashimi. They're usually pretty busy so the wait time ranges from around 30 minutes to an hour or 1.5 hours. The parking is pretty tight with valet as $4. Honestly, this plaza complex has pretty fire restaurants such as the all you can eat barbecue place across or the boba/hookah lounge next door. Came here around 7:30 pm. The parking lot outside is valet only but luckily we found one metered spot less than a block away. It wasn't very busy when we arrived, maybe 2 or 3 small parties of their small dining area, but it did seem to get busier when we left an hour later. We were greeted and sat immediately. The employees were extremely friendly and easy to talk to. They both checked in with us frequently, cleared space quickly, and our main server recommended us to get her favorite item, kake udon. We were there for the AYCE dinner menu for $49 per person. The total for 2 people with tax and without tip was around $106. We ended up trying 2 soft shell crab, 2 toro, and 2 salmon belly from the specials (can only get 1 piece per person). We also tried the edamame, miso soup, vegetable tempura, and kakeudon from the appetizer menu. For sushi we tried the garlic tuna, Cajun tuna, garlic salmon, lemon salmon, paprika salmon, squid nigir and the tamago. For dessert we got the green tea and strawberry mochi (they were out of mango). The items from the special menu were really delicious. They came first and we finished them all immediately and were happy with the quality and flavor. The appetizers were standard and pretty good. The sushi was actually pretty large pieces of fish with a good ratio of rice. Each bite was a little big for me but good quality. I think they may also provide real wasabi. The mochi were really good and delicious, it was a nice ending to a delicious meal! I'll probably stick to Aikan in Northridge as it's the closest best deal for me for AYCE, I think this was still a great choice and I would come again if I was around. Really awesome spot! My partner and I had a really great time here from start to finish. We came on a Saturday evening and had made a reservation through Yelp for 7:15pm. The restaurant itself is smaller than alot of AYCE sushi spots, which I think is actually a plus! But definitely make reservations for that reason. Parking was really tough, they do have valet, but they have a small parking lot for a few different stores in the small alleyway plaza, so I drove around in many circles for maybe 20-30 minutes looking for parking in the neighborhood. It's KTown though, so very much expected. Come early if you will try parking on the streets! Was greeted immediately at the door and seated. Menu via QR code and ordering through your server who places orders with an iPad straight to the kitchen. There were about 4 servers and 3 sushi chefs, which I think was perfect because the service was amazing! We were always checked on--whether it was ordering food, refilling drinks, or cleaning up empty plates, it was really spot on. The servers were all very friendly and upbeat. Food came out super fast and we were never really just sitting there waiting for food. The food--super good! My partner says it was his favorite AYCE sushi spot we found this year. The fish quality was really wonderful, none were mushy or stale-tasting. They give very little rice with the nigiri pieces (maybe 1/3 of the fish size) which was in my opinion, the perfect amount to enjoy the sushi while avoiding getting too full. They also have AYCE appetizers (unless stated that it's a one time order) and those were great too. I especially enjoyed the tako wasabi (not overwhelming with wasabi and still crunchy) and bacon-wrapped bay scallop. We ordered one set of each of the "one-time" only orders which was the right way to go! Uni was fresh and sweet! You can also do a la carte but those numbers can add up if you plan to eat alot, so I would recommend AYCE for 54.99 if you come hungry! They have different drink specials/discounts everyday of the week. Ended the meal with a scoop of ice cream, which was creamy and not too sweet. They have small out door seating and not very big inside so it may fill up fast on weekends. The inside is lit up with sexy pink led's and sleek tables with other small spaces available. We came for the AYCE special. The service was very friendly and fast. The waitress was helpful with suggestions and checked up on us frequently. I came here a while back when it was a different name. However, I was VERY excited that it became "Here Fishy Fishy." However, I was left underwhelmed and disappointed. My experience at this location was far from my experience at the original location off Western and Wilshire. Personally, I am not a fan of small spaces. Also, the decor was not as bright and airy as the other location. I get they have a concept, but it felt dark and dingy. What I disliked most was that people were smoking outside this establishment, and the smoke was traveling inside the restaurant. I closed the doors a couple of times, but they kept opening the doors and leaving it open. I'm not a fan of secondhand smoke with my fish... No smoked fish, please! On the menu, they had beer on tap. However, none was available. Also, the beer we ordered wasn't cold, so we had to order what was available. Considering it was dinner time, they really seemed ill prepared. Don't get me wrong, the food was decent... The menu was slightly different from the original location, but that didn't bother me. Dinner price is $50 (a little over $60 after tax and tip). They have a large variety of premium sushi as part of the dinner menu. They had oyster shooters, sweet shrimp, tuna and salmon belly, half shell oysters, soft shell crab, and baked mussel. They also had uni but it was sold out when we got there. Surprised to see the baked mussel was limited to 1/person. All the other places I've been never had a limit on baked mussels. The screaming orgasm (lol @ the name) was surprisingly good, its seared not cooked though. We got a bunch of the nigiri, their scallop one is amazing! The scallops were so big and juicy. The nigiris all had a pretty generous size of fish. We didn't get to try any of the rolls since we got to full. All the food came out super fast and the presentation was great. The parking lot is valet and costs $4. The valet closes at 10PM so the valet attendants came in to give us our keys and collect the money before they left. If you come after 10PM, its free parking. Out of all the AYCE sushi spots in Koreatown, @hellofish_sushi definitely stands out with how consistently fresh ALL of their seafood and menu offerings are. As someone who's super picky with their sashimi, I was seriously blown away by how everything we tried (I'm talking 20+ menu items) was so incredibly fresh and high quality. My favorites were definitely the toro (fatty tuna belly) and uni, which were literally melt in your mouth buttery and umami, but they also have a plethora of sushi + fully cooked items available on their menu. I've had better sushi that I would probably go to instead during regular dinner hours, but this is 100% amazing at midnight when you're looking for late night dinner.
