Horrible service. We were hit by one of their customers drive one of their rental cars....2months later we finally get a check cut to get our truck repaired, then we have to drive 5hours roundtrip to get a rental car from them while our truck gets repaired. Per their policy they only drive 45mins to meet us. Searchlight nv is 44mins away from their location and regional manager told us No on meeting us in searchlight. Definitely won't use them in the future. They will be driving to searchlight to get their rental back cause I'm not driving all the way back. Absolutely horrible service read more

The manager of this facility couldn't care less about customer service and it shows in the way she speaks to people and treats them. Rude and condescending. After a very long wait, the rude person at the front-desk tells us that someone had canceled our reservation. Clearly, it was not us. I expressed that this tracked with the other reviews being left online and the employee did share that it has been like this for months. I rented a car from Hertz for less than 24 hours while my personal vehicle was in the shop. During that short rental, I accidentally left my garage clickers on the visor when I returned the car at 9:40 a.m. I called less than four hours later to report the forgotten items and let them know I was available to come pick them up immediately. I was told the clickers were "nowhere to be found." I waited on hold while they checked a second time. When I asked whether the person who cleans the cars may have removed them and set them aside, my question went unanswered. Another employee then took my name and number and said they would call me "if they pop up." Since then, I have called eleven times total. Seven of those calls were never answered at all. Of the remaining four calls that were answered, three times I was placed on hold without explanation for over 45 minutes. The other time, the phone was answered and I was immediately told, "We have a lobby full of customers, I need to place you on hold," before I could speak -- and I was again left on hold for 45-55 minutes. As a parent, I cannot stay on hold indefinitely. What is most frustrating is the repeated implication that my issue matters less than in-person customers. If the lobby is that busy, there should be a way to transfer calls to a manager or someone not actively assisting the front counter. This situation could have been resolved quickly with basic communication and follow-up. Instead, it has been handled with poor customer service and disregard for my time. I am not posting this simply to complain -- I am seeking a resolution. I would appreciate assistance locating my garage clickers or guidance on how this situation can be escalated, as well as follow-up from management regarding how this was handled. read more

I put in the reservation early that morning for a 3pm pick up. I get there and they tell me they don't have any cars even though I have a reservation number. They tried to console me by saying that 9 other people before me didnt get their reservation filled either. Like that's supposed to make me feel better that 9 other people got the shaft before me. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE!! You'll make a reservation and there'll be no car for you when you arrive. This place is a total joke. They're overbooking on purpose so if someone doesn't show up for a rental they have people already showing up to rent it. Great experience at this location! My friend wanted to extend his rental for a few days as a personal transaction and close out his rental for the business trip. We didn't want to have to go to the airport and they saved us a trip! We were so concerned they wouldn't understand and give us a hard time but the manager came out and worked it out without any issues! Kudos to Manager, Bianca Williams, for keeping the customers best interest! The parking here is not so good as it only has two spots dedicated to Hertz. Make sure you don't park at the other dedicated spots for 7-11 as you will get towed. read more

My experience was amazing thanks to Crystal & Uso!! I had called around all the hertz in Vegas needing a car to go 1 way due to my flight being cancelled twice. Many of the hertz couldn't accommodate our needs, luckily I called this place and Crystal informed me she may have a rental at 2pm so to book a reservation online, I showed up early around 1pm incase they did get a car sooner because I had to get home, luckily they did have a nice Nissan rouge, it was clean in and out. Staff was super friendly and nice, full of smiles and nice convo. I would recommend this location, just remember to be patient. read more

I haven't left a review in years and rarely do I leave a bad one but this time I can't just turn my other cheek and let this one go. I made a reservation via Expedia and found this place had the best rate. I selected pickup at 12pm but a day later I needed to update to 8am instead. I tried changing online but the only option was to change the vehicle so I called instead and was placed on hold for over 20 minutes. The lady right off the bat had a bad attitude and couldn't find my reservation. Anyways she found it and did confirm I can go ahead and pickup at 8am. The day of the pickup, I was the first one there. I believe Aubrey E. was the person working since that was the business card that was on the counter and of course she didn't find my reservation by my last name and said we don't take last minute reservations which I didn't and reserved it 4 days prior. She took a few minutes to find it and in the end she ended up charging me an additional $120 for early pickup which she didn't disclose to me when I called ahead to reschedule my pickup time. How am I being charged $120 to pick up 4 hours earlier when my total reservation for 3 days is $160? Also the car was not cleaned. Worst customer service experience ever. read more

She huffed and puffed when asked if she could check another location for a vehicle. She sends a message to the manager and she just walked off no acknowledgment no nothing. The manager proceeds to tell us that hertz frequently overbooked but she was able to reach out to other locations she then had Audrey check if any vehicles would be returned today something Audrey could have taken the initiative to do. After listening to her on the phone with another customer her attitude with that customer was just as bad. Made a reservation for a rental. There was one person in front of me. I waited 30 minutes patiently and was very understanding even though time was of the essence since I was dropping the car off later that day. I had called the day prior asking about credit card/debit card requirements and was told if it was a same day booking I would need a credit card, if I made the reservation for the following day I could use my debit card. I don't have a credit card so I made the reservation like I was told for the following day. After waiting 30 mins for 1 person to get their vehicle Audrey let me know for a debit card it would be a 500$ deposit PLUS the rental fee and a credit check. I told her I'd need a minute to figure it out since no one gave me that information despite calling twice the day before AND upon booking it doesn't state this ANYWHERE. When I came back in she had helped other people before me. As I waited on the couch a family walked in. When she arrived back I walked to the counter and she very rudely said "what are you doing? These people are before you" so I responded and said actually my reservation was at 8 and I had been sitting on the couch before they walked in" the family awkwardly said "it's ok" and she gave me a dirty look so I said "I'm confused" to which she condescendingly responded "calm down". To embarrass me and speak to me this way in front of not only other customers but after I sat here waiting at this point over an hour is ridiculous. The attitude was unnecessary, her behavior is just ridiculous, and she was the one answering the phone giving me the wrong information. Looking at the reviews I'm not surprised there's only 2 stars because this is why. If hertz sat here and did their job when hiring employees then I'm sure this wouldn't be an issue. Calling to complain did nothing because her friend who is the manager answered the phone named crystal said she's fine and did nothing which isn't surprising since when crystal arrived at work 3 customers had to wait while Audrey ran to the back screaming and gave her a hug and had a personal conversation. This was a horrible rental experience. As with any business, I like to give them the benefit of the doubt and look for the positive points to highlight my experiences. This was the closest Hertz by my residence based on the Vehicle I needed. My selection was a GMC Yukon XL due to length (224.4") as I needed to transport some items with me to meet my family in LA. I ended up with a Nissan Armada (208.9"). Hertz called me the morning of and advised me to bring a CC and DL as they don't accept Debit (Common knowledge). I asked if they could pick me up and I was told no because I was 7 miles out and their radius was 5 miles. I drive shared to the location and waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes as the man ahead of me finalized his rental agreement. There were paper signs reminding the "customers" to social distance, however there were no markers on the floors. There was a bottle of hand sanitizer at a table, but no sanitizer in it. The employees do not sanitize between customers either. They keep the same gloves on as they take and return CCs and DLs. Employees are also rude. I treat people as I want to be treated. I didn't expect a lack of respect after giving it. Previous experiences at rental agencies will have an employee walk and check car with me, this one was just, "heres the key, car's up front." The worst part after checking out, was trying to get in the car after my personal walk thru and documenting the damages/scratches, was having difficulty getting into the vehicle as the one parked next to it sandwiched the driver side door to the point that even a can opener would have failed to help me. I wedged a cloth item so I wouldn't damage the car next to me and managed to get in. I used the vehicle to go to L.A. and Hoover Dam. Had planned a trip to Red Rock Canyon as well. I stopped to get gas at Costco in Henderson after returning from Hoover Dam area (no off-roading use). As I am in line to fuel up, I felt a jerk as if I was rear ended, looked in my rear view mirror, nearest auto was about 6-8' behind me, no side or front impact and vehicle started to sputter. I thought I had ran out of gas. I coasted SUV to pump, filled up (19 gallons) truck had (7 gallons) so I know I didn't run out of gas. Asked Costco employees for assistance and they pushed rental to parking spot. I notice an indicator light on for FEB which is a safety feature. I researched it and apparently Nissan has problems where their automobiles will have random "safety" feature kick in and end up in a worst case scenario of operators being rear ended. This is where the real problem begins. I call Hertz "emergency" roadside service and I wait an hour to talk to someone, all I got was a screeching beeping noise at the 1:03 hour mark, so I had to hang up and try again. After the recording stating I had to wait another hour I decided to get my wife and children a ride share service home as they were displaying signs of heat exhaustion. My one year old and three year old had it the worst despite having them hydrate. Ride share service had two cancellations and finally a third driver arrives. As I am finally getting situated, Hertz "emergency" roadside service answers around the 56 minute mark. I express the danger my wife and children were put in as-if this was the remote desert area we had planned to go we would not have fared well. Lady from roadside emergency stated one hour for tow truck. As I was in my way home I get a call from Tow Truck that he was already there and he couldn't wait to attend to me. He gave me Tow Company number. I was able to get home, pick up my personal automobile, and make my way back to retrieve my personal effects. Second AAA tow truck driver showed up, around the same time as me, very professional young man. It's unfortunate that I had a bad experience with Hertz and it's "emergency" roadside assistance. I really doubt that I would use them again no matter how great of a deal I get. My opinion: No wonder Hertz has the issues they now have with their business. read more

Worst experience renting a car EVER! Wasn't given an opportunity to check out the car at. My roommate discovered a sickening smell and a lot of dog hair in it. She cleaned it out herself since they obviously didn't. She even got it washed. The car wound up having other problems as well while she was in her way to California. I think think Hertz may have known about the issue. Bad sensor. And they wanted to give me a coupon for a free rental? F*** NO! Never going back. They did only charge me for only one of the three days rental. But, we're never going back to this place. Not worth the stress. read more

I will make sure each employee there that day having theft charges and fraud charges pressed against them a lot with this entire branch. TERRIBLE SERVICE - The Lady Supervisor should be fired! I Had a reservation when I showed up they told me it would be over an hour wait. They hadn't cleaned or gas the vehicle yet. The staff was very unprofessional, rude, and the Supervisor an African American Lady claimed she would call And cancel my reservation since I was not able to wait. I made a reservation for a reason. The lack of customer service and professionalism is unacceptable for a company as big as Hertz. There are a lot of other companies that have excellent customer service and go above and beyond to get you taken care of. Turo for example is a much better option than this Hertz location. I've never had a problem prior to this location. The company should look into the employees and do an Undercover Boss on this store. read more

This is 2 part review. I made a reservation online and I paid rental using affirm. When I get there to rent car it's showing a visa number that's not mine. I called affirm and they said they laid with a virtual card to hertz. Hertz wouldn't accept that because they need card on hand which is stupid why take payment from affirm then ? I rented a Ford in June of this year as soon as I was in the car the service engine soon light came on I told the person who helped me and he said that's normal for rental cars of course I didn't believe that BS . I was renting this car for a month and I didn't want BS problems but with the holiday coming up this was all they had plus that said I could trade in car if car didn't start or etc so I left with car . Employees were nice, friendly and helpful. Especially Audrey who was the one who helped me both on pick up and drop off. Down sides of this location are no after hours drop off and limited hours. My biggest frustration was that I trusted the hours listed on Yelp. Please note the hours here are not accurate to their current hours. I was ready to drop off the car so I checked hours here, arranged for a ride from the facility and thought I was all good to go. Only to find when I got there that the facility closed a full hour before what was listed here. I then tried to find a Hertz parking spot where I could leave the car and then just drop off the keys in the morning but every single (very limited amount) Hertz parking spot was full and every other spot was a tow away zone. So then I had to rearrange everything to including having to take extra annual leave to come back the next morning for drop off. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience with them just frustrated with the hrs and parking situation. read more

I'm beyond disappointed in this location. I'm not even going to go into how they made me come back THREE separate times to exchange out a car when they could've just made it happen the first time using the manual form they ended up using anyways. My issue is this: these cars are filthy. This is the third car I've rented from them and it's like they keep getting dirtier. Before they put me in a different car the second time around I took the time to very nicely ask the girl there (Sara) if they clean the cars in between rentals because the rental I was changing out was pretty dirty on the inside when I got it. It looked like they ran it through the exterior wash and didn't even bother to dry it and left the inside as is. I didn't say anything at the time, but figured I would mention something about it now so she would take some time to make sure it was clean this second time. She assured me they did. She gave me the keys and let me walk out the door only to have me walk around the building because the car was nowhere to be found. Finally she went to go get it and came back 15 minutes later because she had to 'go get it cleaned'. All while I was waiting outside thinking she was about to pull around. To put it mildly I found a dirty silver fork, multiple bottle caps, a trash bag between the seats, and the gem in the picture below in the center console. Not to mention it smelled and looked like she just sprayed Lysol all over the dirty inside of the car and called it a day. After having waited over an hour to get into this car the last thing I wanted to do was stay there any longer. So I drove to my nearest full service car wash and paid $25 for them to do what Hertz should have done from the get go. So gross guys. I feel as though the cleanliness of your cars should be a top priority. Up there with them running well. I know my insurance sends me to you, but maybe next time I'll have better luck at another location. read more

Agents were okay...the good ends there...They only work off returns at this location (don't have any other cars for reservations) so if you reserve an economy and they don't have it, your only option is to pay a substantial upgrade fee or go somewhere else. Then you wait 45 mins for them to clean a car for you and add another 40 mins if you want them to fuel it. Oh...did I mention no parking. All the spaces are tagged for each business in the center and Hertz has theirs filled with their rental cars so no parking for customers. So just park a block away and walk instead of circling the lot two times trying to find something. And last but certainly not least they have barriers to keep you away from the counter plus clear plastic between you and the agent so communication is an issue...Best thing about this location is close to a Dunkin so you can spend $5 while you wait. Okay...this is for sure the last...And after waiting for them to clean the car we had to wash the windows...windscreen was totally unacceptable. Advice is use the location at LAS. Im used to the gas saving prius, all the employees at this location both over the phone and in person were helpful and understanding. They provided me with a 2023 ford escape SUV that my insurance covered completely. The vehicle was nice and clean. Honestly had a good experience at this location and will be returning and would reccomend. read more

I rented a car today and was blown away by the experience. I reserved a car online and selected this location. I received a rental reservation number and proceeded to the location to pick up my rental. When I arrived, the lady behind the desk, unemotionally let me know that they know longer have any cars available. This was literally said with zero emotion. In addition, she let me know that this happens all the time. I was shocked, both by the fact that I just reserved a car and she said they had none left, even more by her stoic response. I asked what alternatives were available, (she did not offer any alternatives, I had to ask). She let me know that I could obtain a large vehicle for a $50 per day up charge, or that she could call the Henderson executive airport and they had a car for me to pick up. Mind you this location is 30 min away and that my wife had dropped me off at this location. I waited to speak to the manager. The manager also showed very little emotion, however, was able to find me a car and I was on my way. While this ended well for me, I'm flabbergasted that 1) this appears to happen daily, and 2) it happens so often that the staff don't even realize how big of a deal this is to their customers, or if they do, they have become desensitized to it. I can't believe a large company like Hertz allows this to continue happening. While it's truly awful for customers, it's even worse for their staff members. Show up to work every day only to have to break the "promise" your company made to customers, over and over again!
