The people who work here lack all competence. I returned this rental car a week ago on September first. This morning I check my account and see I have an additional $269.00 charge from Hertz on my account. I called to ask why, it took forever to get someone on the phone. Once I did they're telling me I returned the car on the 7th. I told them this was completely false. I gave them the keys back to their car on the first, and I have proof because I have paperwork showing I picked up my real car on the first. Then whoever I was speaking with said "oh, I'll have to talk to my manager to adjust it". Said she would call me back and never did. At this point I will be disputing the charge with my bank and I will be filling a report on this location to the Better Business Bureau. There is no reason why this should have happened. DO yourself a favor and do not do business with Hertz, ESPECIALLY this location. They're not organized and they don't properly document things. I love the Hertz Humble location. I've been renting here since June of this year (2025) and I have never left disappointed. They have the latest model of cars and are kept immaculate and in excellent condition. Customer service here is awesome! Team members Destinni Gerard and Latoya Green are without a doubt the best in the business. Very professional, articulate, knowledgeable and attentive. No matter how busy they are with the customer in front of them, they are mindful to acknowledge the ones that walks through the door after them. I've been in on a few occasions when a customer has had a problem with their rental and each time Destinni and Latoya goes above and beyond to resolve the problem and accommodate their rental car needs. These young ladies are considerate and caring. They put a lot of thought into the car selection for your car needs at the time of rental and that's impressive. I will continue to choose this location as long as these young ladies and possible others like them are representing the company. read more

The absolute worst and most disgusting place to rent from by far.I have use Hertz for years... I am visiting Humble TX and needed a vehicle for a family emergency so I am a gold member with a corporate account I made my reservation prior to coming into the location as a gold member your benefits are discounted rate that are partnership with AAA and other companies. When I arrived to this location I thought all locations hold customer service as a high priority and these "self proclaimed " -Dante Bozant -Dustin Luten -Dijon Reed managers would take pride in that. So this is not that place the employees here are a joke very unprofessional and lack a vocabulary to help anyone. You have three people in a very small office that says they are all titled as "Managers" but each one has no common understanding and knowledge of how gold members rent vehicles usually it's a painless process in my case not at all it was the worse case of discrimination and inappropriate behavior from the employees I had to call the corporate and have them handle this situation as I just lost a family member 12 hours ago and wasn't up to dealing with nonsense. Was treated like if I were a bother and interrupting their chit chat. No please or thank you's or anything. Seriously this location needs to get some major training before they sit up there and just collect a pay check. Car was booked and confirmed and guess what... no car upon arriving. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this location. Drea always greets me as a well known customer, and it is highly appreciated. My last visit, she helped me out greatly. I usually book online in advance, but decided to go in store this time. There were no compacts like I wanted, but I was able to receive the last car for the day. Considering it was close to closing, I cannot complain because she hooked me up. Tori and Dustin also helped me greatly upon drop off. They were able to help me extend for a few more days. This Hertz has the worst customer service ever. My car was stolen and my insurance setup a rental appointment at this location. They gave us a car but the wrong paperwork. We got into an accident with the rental car. We were rear ended unexpectedly. According to the Hertz phone number, we are supposed to go online and fill out a printed incident form and give it to the location we got the car from....well according to the employees, in all their 4 and 5 years of working there, they have never seen that form. Manager was saying he couldn't properly verify it? Long story short we find out that on the rental agreement they gave us had the wrong car printed on it. The guy that was working with us over the counter gave us a different car and then tried to give us a second car which was the one that was printed out on the original rental agreement paper. We declined since it was 2 days before our return date. We had a totally different car than what it says on the paper. Dumbass was rude, mumbling so low to the point i couldn't even make out what he was saying, unhelpful and was just a mess. read more

I had an outstanding experience at this location. Dante went above and beyond to provide me with exceptional service. He was quick, knowledgeable and made the rental process extremely easy. Super impressed with his professionalism. He opened my door, made sure the AC was running prior to entering the car, and even showed me how to work the car features. The car itself could have been a little cleaner, as there were crumbs in the seats. But because of Dante's superb service I will definitely be renting from this location again. 5 star service! read more

I reserved a car with this location 2 weeks ago and requested to be picked up. This morning I called to asked to be picked up. I was put in hold three times for almost 15 minutes. I hung up and called back and I was told the driver will pick me up at 10:00 am. It is now 10:27 am and no one is here. So much for customer service. I needed seating for seven in a vehicle for visiting guests. Reserved online. Reserved for 9 AM arrived late after verifying 10 am was good for them still. Car was unwashed, had trash in it, but most important gas tank was empty and I was advised to return "as close to empty as possible." Was told "the manager took the gas card with him" so there was no way to get fuel. Also was told they had a nicer vehicle they wanted to give me but it was getting an oil change." Just not very professional. Note to self, never rent a vehicle with an empty tank. But when you have 6 friends waiting what do you do? Unprofessional to rent a vehicle this way. How disappointing to be told of a nice vehicle but you are not getting it. Also they never mention a 200 mile limit so read before you sign of course. It took a long heated discussion to get a discount to cover the fuel in the tank, was advised we should just "drive the fuel out." Not a good experience in the end. read more

They finally answer my email today with a number to call and it's a collection agency! This is a horrible company and i will Never rent from anything affiliated with Hertz and will definitely will never recommend this company to anyone. You have lost and will continue to lose business this way. No wonder this company filed bankruptcy. You guys are tricking people into paying fees without explaining them or training your staff properly to explain these fees in detail and fail at communicating with your customers in person, phone and via email. Poor customer service. CSR argued with my daughter over pettiness and I'm the customer. Threatened to call police for trespassing when we were trying to make a payment. Hertze needs to identified level headed and emotionally intelligent individuals that enjoy working in customer service environment. I understand all customers are not always all right, but talking back with disrespect and threats isn't a display of professionalism. Is there a "NO STAR" option? First I reserved a vehicle for pick up at 9 am in the morning the day before. Hertz sends me a confirmation number and a pick up location. I get there promptly at 9 am on the day of reservation. They pull my confirmation and info. and tell me that they have NO VEHICLE for me. So even though they run on a system and keep an inventory of their vehicles, they didn't have the courtesy to call me or notify me before I traveled to come and pick the vehicle up. There was no solution, there was no trying to make it right, NOTHING. Then, I head outside to try and come up with a plan B. I need a vehicle and HERTZ couldn't come through. As I'm researching other car rental options, someone returns a vehicle. The same guy who told me he didn't have a car for me, came out to check the returned vehicle back in. He saw me, didn't stop me to say, "hey, this one just came in. Do you want to rent this one?" Just passed me. NO customer service at all. No care in the world. No respect. I walked away with no car that day. HERTZ will never be getting my service again. Not even my consideration. read more

Horrible experience. I was told I would get a full sized car but when I showed up a week later to pick it up they didn't have any. They had a week! Then when the car showed up it wasn't cleaned. Horrible customer service. Called to confirm my reservation before going in and told it was fine. Arrived to find my reservation had been cancelled. This location has very few cars and they tried to put me in a compact though I had a full size reservation. They said I could bring it back in when they had cars available. Not sure what having a reservation means to them but obviously different than mine. On top of the dismal service I also felt very discriminated against. read more

My Brand new car needed to get the rest of the package put on at the Dealer however they wouldn't finish in time Friday so they put me in a Rental for the weekend since they don't have loaner cars. First of all.. I had to wait 30 minutes when i was there to just get to the counter to work with someone. Once I got there and eventually the car came around.. I was given a POS car that clearly has been either flooded or in an accident. There was duct Tape on the outside of the car, scratches all over and it smelled like Puke.. I had to transport some boxes and later opened the trunk and about killed over from the smell. The trunk wasn't even vacuumed or cleaned. I have had to drive with the windows down to tolerate the smell, along with febreze the interior daily, yesterday left the windows and trunk open in my driveway to air out which helped some, So embarrassing to drive this car around with all the duct tape markings and stuff. I will be complaining to the dealer too.. I didn't need an SUV for the weekend like i left at the shop but expected a much cleaner car. The whole process took FOREVER (over 45 minutes from the time i arrived to the time i drove out) and to get a crappy dirty car on top of it.. Had i been paying out of pocket I wouldn't of accepted this vehicle at all. read more
