Caught clearly off-guard, I searched for some shops that could work with me and inform me of my options. I recalled someone mentioning having their transmission serviced at this Aamco location and did a quick internet search for reviews of the shop. To my suprise, all the reviews were glowingly positive! I decided to give them a try and sure enough, all those other reviews were correct. Sean answered the phone and was immediately friendly and attentive to my needs. I had the vehicle towed to his location and they performed a thorough diagnostic of my vehicle. The part that really exceeded my expectations, however, was how detailed and patient Sean was while explaining to me the diagnostic process, results, and our options moving forward. I felt that he looked at me as more than just a number and genuinely understood the plight of being caught off-guard with a costly automobile repair. He was patient while my wife and I took a few days to carefully consider our options. Ultimately, we've decided not to invest more money into our ageing Acura and to purchase another used vehicle instead. However, because of Sean's excellent customer service- I did not yet experienced the service of the other technicians there, but I would take the other reviewers' word for it- I will definitely take my other vehicles (including our "new" one) to this shop from now on. Now I usually change my own windshield wipers. Buy them from Costco,, remove the old ones, install the new ones and throw the old ones in the garbage. Aarrow charge me $63 to do this. When I spoke with a guy at Aarrow, I think it was Emanuel, and asked him how they could charge $63 to replace my windshield wipers, he stumbled with his words and then silence. I don't even wanna think how much I was overcharged for the oil change. I also came to find out that they offer $20 off for new customers. There was not a mention of this.. if you decide to take your car to Aarrow scrutinize every charge. Question everything.

The"good news was that the baby could be saved for a mere $5,000.00. I was stunned and could not breathe. I went into denial and various other stages of grief and asked If I could think it over. Honestly, I should have called them back much faster than I did. Life is tough and I'm doing my level best. I was contacted by a gruff office manager who had mistaken me as a deadbeat not as a "grieving parent". I was shocked by the tone and inflexibility and was then ordered to get my vehicle immediately of it would be towed. No options were offered to me. I paid the surgeon 100 plus dollars who then quickly dismissed me as the perceived deadbeat and briskly hung up. The solution, I'd recommend that some kind of sensitivity training be mandated just so the office manager would have an opportunity to begin to heal and feel better.

However my car suffered from this place so i had taken my car to another repair shop but because of the costs i didnt want to pay 12k so speedys actually towed the car for me to their shop and said the could do it for damn near half of the other shop price. I paid roughly 6-7k to obtain a used engine with 32k miles on it . Took a while but i didnt want to rish them since it was a big job. They also replaced my catalytic converters for like 1500$ I should have just spent the 12k with theother shop because after taking it back to speedys three times because my coolant alert kept popping up and it was literally draining out of the car. I knew something was wrong . They said they didnt see anything only for the car to begin blowing out a bunch of smoke from under the engine and the check engine light came on. I literally spent an additional 8k to fix what this place messed up. I should have reported this place to the attorney general's office since the other shop stated everything wasn't even in spec .
