Really like this spot! The woman who did my regular manicure (should've gotten her name but I forgot to ask!) was really sweet and was very careful in a good way. Sometimes I feel like I'm asking a lot if I want my nails cut even shorter or filed more but she was so sweet and checked with me to make sure I liked it. She also recommended four coats since the color I chose was more sheer than I had initially expected They also offer tea and snacks when you sit down. ALSO they didn't charge for gel removal which is so great. Would recommend

Henry did an outstanding job with my new set of acrylics!! I had a set put on a little over a week ago at Co Be Salon (also on Polk.) Unfortunately half of the nails broke off and my nails were in poor condition. Henry took excellent care of me! He gently removed the remaining acrylics and meticulously groomed my nails. I will certainly be back to see Henry.

Why's it so dang hard to find a decent nail salon in SF? I'll admit I'm picky, having been spoiled by the plethora of options on the peninsula...but since moving to SF last year, I had yet to find a nail salon in my area (North Beach/Russian Hill/Marina) that could deliver consistent and satisfactory gel manis & pedis...that is until I tried Hey Beautiful. This place came highly recommended by a friend so I decided to give it a try a few months ago and I've yet to be disappointed. The staff is warm and welcoming, the owner is super accommodating and responsive over text, and the two nail techs I've tried--Cadia and Henry--are both stellar. Henry is METICULOUS. Not only does he listen to what you want and genuinely seeks to make you happy, he's also fast! Henry is my new fav. Thanks, Hey Beautiful!

I am absolutely obsessed with this place. When you walk in they greet you with snacks and drinks. I got my lashes done so I had to call ahead but other services they also do walk in. I got the hybrid and I could not be happier. AND ON TOP OF THAT THEY PUT A BLANKET OVER ME WHILE I WAS LAYING THERE. Never had someone drape a blanket over me before that was not my immediate relative. It really gave me "at my granny house vibes" with the snacks and the blanket, I will be coming back for sure.

I personally love this place it's my second time coming here and I'm glad Yuzi help me get rid of my mix color carrot color hair I really didn't like my hair before. Today I got my hair dye mocha brown treated, cut and styled my hair feels amazing it feels soft it smells good and nostalgic I'm glad I came here and I'm looking forward to coming back . Yuzi thank you so much you save my hair.

I've walked by many times and today was my first visit to Hey Beautiful. I'm usually feel nervous going to a new nail salon (I got cut a couple times), but Henry put me at ease. He is professional and attentive, taking his time to cut and clean my cuticle. Also, I was able to pick a color without feeling rushed. Thanks Henry! Hey beautiful now is at the top of my list! I love their great services, and huge selection of colors, and nail art. I will definitely try cat eye next time!

My nails are also naturally very thin and therefore require extra care and attention which Henry was also great about. The price was standard for dip ($55 as of July 2022). I really enjoyed my visit to hey beautiful. They took me right away, were welcoming and kind, and did a careful and efficient job. I had a gel pedicure with callous removal and I have an ingrown toenail which the Christine took care of with ease. Also had a manicure with powder dip done by Henry who was both super talented and fun. He looks at your hands and nails and does what is best for you. I was really pleased and will return. I have been getting Brazilian waxes consistently for over 10 years and I've never had such a bad experience. Went over the same area 7-10 times and had sticky gloves that would pull my skin, wouldn't pull the strips evenly, and left me with bruising and lots of hair left. Was very painful and had to tell her to stop after an hour when typically waxing takes 15-30 mins. She was apologetic but beware-do not come here for waxing. read more

I had a great experience at Hey beautiful. Very airy space and since it's on the edge of the busier area, parking was easy. The staff was very accommodating. They even carry Dior and Chanel colors. I was in a hurry so I was in and out in a little over 30 mins. Loved the hot stone foot massage. read more

I brought my niece in for acrylic nails. They did a fabulous job!!!! We were greeted with a BIG welcome from Christian. He offered us tea, water or a glass of champagne. He made sure everyone is taken care of. The ladies and the owner are attentive and detail oriented. They took their time to make sure your nails are cleaned and polish perfect. Chelsea was incredibly fast and efficient with time and especially wax placement- there wasn't a drop of wax left on me when I was done. Amazing. Chelsea did all of this amazing work all the while balancing the lounge reception solo. I was nervous thinking about the pain of getting waxed but Chelsea immmmmediately made me feel at ease just by her presence alone. And- lemme tell you, every hair is gone and I felt the least amount of pain from a Brazilian wax. Ever. You're awesome, Chelsea and I'll see you in 5 weeks for my next appointment!

I visited back in May and did a brow lamination and tint, and lash lift and tint. I have had this service done at several places before without issue. Upon leaving I thought it was different than i had done it before and maybe just needed to adjust. Idk. On further reflection she must have switched the products or burned them somehow. Half my eyelashes were kinked. Yes i followed aftercare perfectly. Then my eyelashes fell out and at some point were itchy and my lid was swollen. I'm not post photos but have them, and she has seen them. My eyebrows also were like hard and wouldn't move. Later they started falling out too. She gave me a full refund when I send her pics. But this is before everything started falling out. I had to buy a lash serum to grow them back. And then in August I started noticing that my eyebrows were falling out. I thought they were shedding normally and going back to blonde. NOPE! They weren't growing back at all. I went to the dr and it is 100% because of what she did. I now am using rogaine to regrow them. It's taking forever and she also refused to pay for product to help grown them back. It's probably going to be another 2-3 months of me looking awful because of Perri. Have the Holiday you deserve.

A very tasteful, custom design for an 11 y.o. They lasted almost 4 weeks but finally time to take them off. We made an appt for 2:30 today and due to Jenny not getting the message we had to wait about 30-40 minutes. Not the biggest deal, really nice out and our favorite boba spot just a few blocks down Polk St. When we got back the other woman in the shop started taking off the gels, they were taking a while to saturate enough to fully remove so the cotton with acetone and foil had to stay on longer. My daughter's fingers started burning and when we let them know, Jenny prompted the other woman to take a look. Not ready yet so while the owner was finishing up with another client this other woman needed to take care of it. At one point a customer had to ask this other woman to help my daughter, that she would kindly wait. It took over an hour to remove and clean up her nails, no manicure after. Two hours later my daughter's poor fingers are still burning. Jenny was quite apologetic and adjusted the price as a courtesy. We love Jenny but maybe she needs some more support in her shop.

Stylist: Don Service: Haircut I wouldn't recommend this salon based on my experience. I asked for a simple trim--two inches off with long, face-framing layers--but ended up with uneven, choppy hair, with over an inch of difference between the two sides. While I could have overlooked the choppiness, the uneven length was unacceptable. When I returned for a correction, Don started cutting the shorter side, showing he didn't understand how to fix it. Another stylist had to step in, and to even things out, I had to settle for a blunt, same-length cut, much shorter than I wanted. Instead of losing just two inches, I lost about five, and now I have to wait for my hair to grow out. Don also rushed my original cut because another client was waiting, which only made things worse. Despite needing a correction, I wasn't offered a refund or any compensation for a $90 haircut that didn't meet my expectations. The stylist who fixed it deserves credit, and the salon should have handled the situation more fairly. I took a chance on this salon, but based on my experience, I'd caution others before booking. read more

Lee is an absolute professional! Best hair cut I've gotten in years. He was patient and very communicative throughout to ensure we were both on the page as to what I'd like my hair cut to look like when he was done.
