5+ Stars for my favorite cookie lady...ever! I am obsessed with Christa the cookie lady, and her delicious sweet treats. For a couple years she's been present at our company parties with baskets of her yummy cookies, and TBH, she's one of my favorite reasons for coming to SF each year. Christa provided outstanding service. I live on the East Coast but I wanted to surprise my brother, who lives in SF, for his thirtieth birthday. I am so glad that I stumbled upon Hey, Cookie's website. I was immediately sold after I saw that the cookies were homemade and the reviews were so overwhelmingly positive. I do not often write reviews but this was an occasion that certainly warranted it! Not only did Christa travel downtown (where parking can be a challenge) to deliver cookies to my brother but as you can see from the photo, she recruited other people near and around the office to join in on singing Happy Birthday to him. She also took photos and a short video for me because she knew that I would want to see the surprised look on his face once he realized that it was from me. Christa was so warm and pleasant to work with and the price was so reasonable, I gave her the extra money I was planning to spend anyway as an added thank you. I only wish that I lived closer so that I could use her services more often. Hopefully, she will start to ship her treats soon! Had my first encounter with Hey, Cookie when my hungry friend overheard a woman yelling about "no pot cookies" at Dolores Park! The treats were 1 for $3 or 2 for $5, which means that they have either unfortunately raised their prices or the service of carrying a tray of delectables up and down the hill was built into the price. They had a large, unique variety of baked goods including rice krispie treats, chocolate chip cookies, Butterfinger cookies, and more. We got an Oreo rice krispie treat and a mint chocolate chip cookie, both of which did not skimp on the toppings. I liked that the rice krispie had big chunks of Oreo in it and there were lots of chopped up Andes mints on the cookie. But the cookie itself was pretty thin (almost to the point that it seemed like they were trying to save cookie dough). And while the treats had that wonderful homemade taste, they didn't stand out to me. However, the service was fantastic - the woman was really friendly and even gave my friend a free cookie when she overheard it was her birthday. I was in shock, when I saw that I hadn't written a review for Hey, Cookie! First of all, Christa is absolutely amazing and a joy to deal with. She has an infectious passion for cookies and who am I to argue with that? Besides being an incredible baker and business woman, she's the nicest person you will ever meet. I've had the pleasure of enjoying her delicious cookies at various Yelp Events and I always luv seeing people's expressions after they eat one of Christa's cookies. They have a look of pure joy on their faces. We asked her to cater for a 110 person event at our downtown office and when we reached-out to her, she was on vacation. I was super bummed to get the notification, since that meant I would have to find an alternate snack. However, to my surprise, Christa contacts us and tells us she's returning the day before our event and that she'd have time to make her cookies for us. I've been literally waiting all day today for Christa to arrive with her amazing cookies. Of course, she's early and has that big smile as she walk onto the floor. Reflecting back on warmer days in Dolores Park, I remembered a particularly delicious moment that involved Christa Hill, an adorable dress, and one of her awesome snickerdoodles. The birds outside are chirping, the engineers are coding, salespeople are cold calling, the smell of coffee is everywhere in the air, busy florists coming in by hour, guys making dinner plans last minute, women making kissing noises on the phone, it's not you're ordinary day, it's Valentines. Not only was the office full of flowers and sweets that had been delivered by their loved ones, but there was not one sweet in sight. What's going on? Where is the love? Hmm, I guess our company isn't doing anything for Valentine's.The closest relationship my team had at the moment was with our laptops and iPhones, but that all seemed to change.. Sorry this is long but I can't say enough on how much joy this whole experience brought me and my boyfriend on his birthday! Christa is so great. I found Hey Cookie on yelp and it was exactly what I was looking for. I was trying to find the best Rice Krispys in SF to have delivered on my bf's birthday bc they are his favorite. I came across this and wow, homemade and hand delivered?! Even better! I called Christa immediately about a month in advance because I wasn't sure how busy she would be and I couldn't miss this opportunity! Unfortunately she was going out of town for a few weeks but lucky me, she would be back right in time for his birthday! We kept in touch closer to the date because I wasn't sure exactly what day or time would be best bc I knew he had a few deadlines at work, and she was okay with this--so nice. The day of I was so excited. She e-mailed me when she was on her way to deliver and about an hour later she sent me 3 amazing photos: 1 of the beautiful treat she delivered. 1 of him, the treat and all his coworkers looking very excited, and 1 of him and her together. His coworker also sent me a great video of Christa coming in with the tray and having everyone sing happy birthday. I can't tell you how happy it made me to see these since I live across the country in New York! She even threw in an extra dozen cookies that I didn't order! So sweet. Best business idea ever! No, seriously, it is. I have a dear friend who loves cookies and I wanted to send him some as a surprise to cheer him up. I didn't want to use boring old Specialty's, so I turned to yelp for help. Lo and behold, yelp helped me find the wonderful Christa. I called her and she immediately answered and guided me through the ordering process. After I emailed her my order of two tins of assorted cookies, she responded right away to let me know when she would be delivering the cookies. Wait, what? She bakes homemade cookies AND hand delivers them herself? Oh, but it gets even better: she dresses up AND hand delivers freshly baked delicious cookies! Christa is a genius baked goods saleswoman. She times her arrival to Dolores precisely when enough people have consumed substances that induce incredible hunger (the "munchies") and saves the day. Walking around in her sweet Wendy's mixed with American Girl getup, she looks the part of the best sweet treat baker out there. My friends and I bought the oreos rice crispies, sprinkled rice crispies and salted caramel chocolate cookies. The rice crispies were delicious. I'm personally not a huge fan of thin cookies as the edges can taste a little burnt if overbaked, but the flavor was certainly impressive.
