Sichuan Style Beef Brisket with egg noodles
    MJ L.

[Good] Sichuan Style Beef Brisket - Had this with egg noodles, mild spicy, and no numbing as I'm not a fan of that flavour. An excellent bowl full of flavour from the soup. Noodles had the perfect bounce and brisket had excellent fattiness. Honestly can't really ask for more. The perfect bowl. House Special Cold Noodles - Wife gave thumbs up and would order again so it's good. Stewed Chicken and Mushroom - Kids had this one with the potato noodles. The transparent noodles make it look better for an extra dollar but I think it would be just as good with egg noodles. Kids agreed. Soup has a wonderful mushroom flavour but the chicken was dry. Still a solid bowl of noodles. [Worth it?] Overall worth it as the bowls were all flavourful and tasty and prices are reasonable. Not sure why this place dropped off our radar for so long but will remember to return more often as the food quality is generally excellent.

Honestly this place wasn't special at all, I got the Sichuan style beef brisket noodle rice noodles, first off this place is way overpriced, the good thing it's open late and I was hungry, I mistakenly gotten a bit to spicy but I was able to tolerate it, the brisket had a lot of fat in it, I wish the price was a bit lower, the broth there was no taste, the service was quick, and the ambiance was okay. The noodles had a nice texture to it, I wish the egg was soft boiled but it was hard boiled, the broth had no taste it was really spicy because I got spicy, the bowl was nice no broken bowl because I notice a lot of restaurant serve broken bowls to customer which is unacceptable. Also the washroom is clean, which is good, so they are practicing good hygiene, the waitress was very nice, but I won't come back here anymore one thing no taste in the noodles, way to pricey it's not worth to be honest, I wouldn't recommended to come here if you like noodles maybe try gb hand pulled noodles those were pretty good.

This spot is great for a quick eat. The restaurant is simple in appearance with cafeteria style dining furnitures. The service is very proficient with beverages being served in paper cups and the server only dropping off your order and your bill. The flavours of the broth were good not great but it maybe due to less spicy options.

Came here for Friday for an early lunch and it was empty. Regardless, the service was great. Water came every so often and the waitress came whenever we got her attention. If you pay with cash, you get a can of pop. I only wish that I knew this earlier, so that I could have enjoyed the pop with my spicy noodles. Ground pork noodles - I love the aromatics, the numbing spice, the savoriness of the soup. Combined with the chewiness of the noodles, twas a great combination. Also peanuts were added for an extra crunch. Popcorn chicken - great salt n Peppa flavour. Crispy with decent chunks of meat. The breading might have been on the thicker side, but that's only if I am not picking. I would recommend dipping this in the soup for added flavour :). Would come back if I'm craving their signature mala flavour!

Went there on a Thursday evening around 5:45 p.m. for dinner. There was only one other table there & the tables still had dividers. There is an option to scan a barcode to see the menu and order online however the one staff on the floor brought us menus and was on standby to take our order. My mom was a bit confused with the options so the lady explained everything to her. She was kind, patient & attentive. Eventually we ordered the beef brisket with egg noodles mild spicy & mild numbness (my order), pork ribs with egg noodles spicy & no numbness & pork belly with egg noodles and not spicy. My beef brisket was so delicious as the meat was tender. I could have gone spicier however I enjoyed the mild spicy since it had a nice kick but wasn't overbearing. I didn't really notice anything about the numbness. The egg noodles were cooked well. My husband who had the pork ribs enjoyed his but said some of the pork ribs was not as tender as the others. He also ended up getting a free noodles refill which looked like it came with double the amount of the original. Lastly, my mom said her pork belly was not fatty enough so it was quite dry. I may come back again for the beef brisket though the price is quite steep at $16. I think if it was $2 less, I would be more inclined.

Wow first time going to this place and their noodles are bomb!!!! Service was great, food is delicious, and prices are very good for what they give you! I tried the fried chicken xiaomin ($14). I loved it! Got it with egg noodles, spicy, with some peppercorn. also comes with an egg! The popcorn chicken was very good as well. There is quite a few selections of noodles and they are all pretty fairly priced. Ordering is also super easy - you can do it on the app but you pay in person so no hassle at all. Another great thing they have is a free refill on noodles! So if one bowl isn't good enough for you then get another free of charge! Staff was overall very friendly as well and were very accommodating with my allergies as well. Overall I had an excellent time and would love to come back!

Noodle taste good! The pop corn chicken is flavorful and crispy. Free soft drink spent over $20 when pay cash.

Hailing from China with one of their most popular street foods, Hey Noodles is a Chinese chain restaurant serving up delicious bowls of fiercely spicy, mouth-numbing and aromatic, Chongqing noodles. The Chinese name for Chongqing noodles is Xio Miàn/小面 literally meaning "small noodles". It represents the simplicity and humbleness of this everyday dish that can be served as breakfast, lunch or dinner. At Hey Noodle, there are different types and textures of noodles with a variety of soup bases available topped with a medley of different vegetables and meat. You get to choose the level of chili pepper spice and numbness of peppercorn and extra toppings to add on to your bowl. Even choosing regular spicy and numbness is more than intense for me due to the immense amount of peppercorn, chilies and Sichuan pepper. I recommend getting a drink on the side to ease the numbness (most of their sides are spicy too!) I wasn't a fan of their popcorn chicken - it was more like the ones you get frozen from the supermarket and then reheated. I was excited to try their chicken cartilage but it was too spicy for me and you don't get that much for the amount you pay. Tip: There are FREE noodle refills per bowl if you dine in! Use code 'XIAOMIAN' to get $5 off your first takeout order on their website!

The fact that they're open late already makes me bias because it's so hard to find something open late in this area, especially during the weekdays. (FYI, they're open until 2am every night). It's bright in spacious inside; the decor is simple, light and modern. Some other places have a minimum spend per person but I don't recall seeing this on their menu so it's great if you're just craving a small snack and a drink. Or in my case, I like eating late at night and my BF makes the healthy choice not to, so he's not forced to order anything when we come here. He'll get a small snack or a drink. The cucumber appetizer is refreshing and heavily flavoured at the same time. It's spicy and salty and it works well. They have lots of fruit teas and they are currently buy 1, get 1 50% off. I really like the Ginger Milk Tea that they have. There's only one size and it's quite large so it's good for sharing as well. I like to build my own bowl so I can customize everything to my liking. Choose your protein, noodle type and texture, broth level, and toppings. I've only tried 2 (beef brisket & pork ribs) of the 7 available toppings but I'll skip the lamb and the pork intestine, so I have 3 more to try. I haven't found one that I like yet. The meat for both the brisket and the pork ribs is tough for my preference so I usually give most of the meat to whoever I'm with. I'll have to try the 2 minced pork ones and the pork belly next time. I think those will be better.. I'm such a carbs girl, I love love love eating noodles, pasta, etc. For Hey Noodles, I would highly recommend the Hot and Sour Vermicelli. It's the perfect thickness and the regular texture is exactly how I like it, though I can see it as being too soft for some people. If you're worried about the spice level, get it mild. You can always add in chilli oil later.

Came here for a weekday lunch and tried the beef brisket noodles. Beef was cooked well and was very tender and came with plenty of noodles. The soup was a bit flat. Mostly salty and lack additional depth of flavour, and wasn't spicy even though I picked a higher spice level.

Came here in a Saturday early afternoon, it was pretty busy but there were plenty of seats. We ordered 2 chongqing minced pork and peas noodle, one with egg noodle and one with sour and spicy potato noodles. Both were yummy but I liked it more with the sour and spicy potato noodles. Service was quick and friendly. You can also add more noodle for free! Good portion reasonable price.

My absolute fave comfort food! This is the non vegan street noodle. Regular Spicy, less numb, egg noodles extra soft, extra cilantro and peanuts. Remember you can get unlimited noodle refills and even soup!! This place is so amazing for $7!!!!

Now I know where to satisfy my late night noodle craving! Hey Noodles, welcome to the neighbourhood! The decor is modern and nice. Plenty of seating. Parking maybe an issue if you dine during prime time. Beef Brisket Noodles ($13.99) and Marinated Pork Belly ($12.99) tasted great. Pork belly melt in your mouth tender. I opted for the ex spicy and numb level and it was spicy. If you able to order and eat more noodles, then the price is justify and quite good value. Service is excellent! Our waitress kept asking if we like more soup or noodles. Worth checking out if you are hungry or for a late night snack.

Today was Tuesday, so we were good to go. The promo was $25 including 1 bowl of noodle, 1 bowl of clay pot rice with meat and 1 of snack dishes. We could choose them from the special menu. We chose the beef noodle soup, chicken & mushroom clay pot with soup, and the snack was the deep fried wonton. The wonton was great, so delicious and my little one loved it so much; the beef noodle soup was ok, but only a few pieces of beef and radish; the clay pot was the most I like, when I put the soy sauce in, the pot was boiling. That's so nice. That also caused the crackers at the bottom. That's really amazing. We also got a little bowl of the seaweed soup for the clay pot. So nice. This special deal was so good that enough for all of us. Next time, I would like to try other options.

The Lanzhou noodles had a great chewy texture and tasted super fresh. The claypot rice was warm, savory, and had that nice crispy bottom layer which made it extra satisfying. Portions are generous and the flavors feel very authentic and comforting -- like a home-cooked meal. It's a great budget-friendly option in Markham, especially if you're dining with a friend or partner. Definitely a hidden gem for cheap eats. Would recommend if you're craving noodles and claypot rice without spending too much!
