    Pork intestine potato noodle
    Stephanie N.

I was craving a soupy noodle that is so hot it burns my mouth and this definitely hits the spot haha. As the weather gets chillier I am constantly craving hot noodle soups and glad I stumbled into this one. I have seen it around as it is a chain and they are known for their potato noodles but they also carry ramen, rice noodles, and different other types as well. We got the pork intestine potato noodle that came with shredded bean curd skin and kelp and the lamb slices potato noodle. The pork intestine one had a stronger broth perhaps due to the marination of the intestines. The lamb soup was more clear and refreshing. Overall portions were pretty good and there were a lot of noodles. The potato noodle texture is chewy and I really enjoyed them. I will be back to try their other noodles for sure!

Spot review: northwestern_chinese_cuisine beef pancakes was always my favourite dish here, but I always get the pancake so I want to try something different. I heard the noodles are good so I decided to try the cold noodles and the potato noodles. I really like the cold noodles because of the flavour and if you can't finish it you could easily store it for the next day. (1st picture) The potato noodles is very interesting and it does lack a little bit of flavour especially the one that I got. The noodles are very slippery and chewy (Second pic) However you should not sleep on their pancake! It's so good trust me IG: asianbaebites

A spilled mess of cold chicken noodles

Nothing wrong with the food this is based on my experience only. I wanted to get the multigrain fish noodle with lamb soup but instead I got cold chicken noodles. I called ahead to order takeout with the number on their online menu. Got home and found out their online menu is different than in-store, the styrofoam holding the sauce was also crushed, all the sauce leaked. It was a pain in the ass to clean up I just threw it straight to the trash. Language barrier is a struggle :'(

Noodles were pretty good, although my personal preference is to have hot noodles so the Chicken Cold Noodle with soup was a bit odd (but not bad when it is reheated at home). The place is very clean and service is quite prompt. Although it is difficult to find parking, especially on the weekend.

Overall, 3.5 for me (doesn't deserve a full 4 stars). Came here on a Sunday afternoon with the restaurant full, we had a short wait. The restaurant is new and clean so no complaints. Service was poor but I never expect much at a these type of Chinese restaurants. Food overall was good but not amazing. Beef brisket potato noodles 4/5: I had the beef brisket potato noodles. First time having it and was satisfied. The brisket was tender and the portion size was good. Tofu 2.5/5: We also ordered a side of tofu which I did not enjoy. There was way too much flavouring on it. I won't be dying to come back but I would recommend trying if you're a noodles fan.

OMFG NEW GEM IN MARKHAM ALERT!!!! This was unbelievably good. This place is run by people that only speak mandarin, so communication is a little difficult if you don't got yo' asian friends with ya. It's great that they have pictures on their menu though, and it's even more great that the food that comes out looks exactly like the picture. They have a lot of choices to choose from, even for vegetarians & vegans! Cold sesame noodles?! Yes please. The star of the show were potato noodles, which were amazingly chewy and had a great texture to them. They were so good, and my slurp game is so strong. I wanted more and more. The soup base was delicious & extremely flavourful. My friend who took me here told me the potato noodles were so good that she thinks about it sometimes when she's at home.. she ain't lying but I would be if I said that they weren't on my mind right now. Seriously, suuuuuch a gem. We had the thick handpulled noodles as well and those were sooo delish with the right amount of sesame and spice. It's great to find cold noodles in the area that isn't naeng myun; what a pleasant change. Oh yeah, did I mention the portions could feed a small army? We had 3 noodle bowls shared upon 3 people and we couldn't even finish it to the last drop. AND the bill came out to only around $23. Like, what? This place is 100% going to blow up because I've never had something so simple, unique and delicious in a bowl of noodle soup in all my years of living in foodie central (markham) Y'all better visit this place before the line starts piling out the door.

    Chicken cold noodle with sesame

This place is a little gem in Markham! I never knew this place existed because it's kinda tucked in beside Cha Me Cha and ZenQ. My favourites are the chicken cold noodles with sesame sauce and the three-coloured vermicelli. The cold noodles are very refreshing and the sauce is very well made. I like vermicelli in general, but I find the ones here because they have three different colours (brown, yellow, white). I don't really like the potato noodles as they're too thick and chewy for my liking. The service here is average, but they don't really speak anything other than mandarin.

3.5 Star I am happy with the success of Potato Noodle of Bai https://www.yelp.ca/biz/potato-noodle-soup-of-bai-markham for them to open up their 2nd location. From a food stall in Pacific Mall to now a real eat in restaurant! I ordered my usual A1 Potato Noodle in Soup ($6.99). Seemed like they toned down their spiciness quite a lot. Maybe I need to ask for extra spicy next time? which they have that option in the Pacific Mall location. But I still enjoy the chewiness of the potato noodle! A solid place for some noodle slurping if you love to enjoy a bowl of noodle.

I came here a while ago but I forgot to post a review. Ordered the beef brisket with potato noodles. The noodles in my opinion were too chewy almost the point that they were raw and undercooked. Overall the dish was nothing really special just soup, pieces of beef brisket, and chewy potato noodles. Wouldn't really come back. Not that impressed with the food.

We tried out most of the restaurants in Langham and this was one of the restaurants we had yet to eat in. Service: We came here at peak hours for dinner, so out wait time to be seated was around six minutes. They regularly serve hot tea and cold water, but to my surprise not hot water; they had to refill a teapot with water to do so. Cold water was served in serviceable yet unclean plastic cups. Otherwise, service was quick and decen. Atmosphere: The restaurant itself was of moderate size and its decor simple, consisting of potted plants and Chinese banners on the walls. Overall, nothing dinghy that retracts from the eating experience, but nothing exceptional either. Food: I ordered the braised pork noodle soup and shared "Chinese burgers" with our group of five. I appreciated the noodles as they were succulent and the broth was hearty. The burgers could do with some improvement; they were quite dry. Regardless, the portions were huge and quickly whetted our appetites. Overall, I can confirm that this place is certainly a restaurant that exists; it's an authentic Chinese restaurant just like the rest of them, but it's still a decent option.

This place is always packed. We got here around 1pm and the wait was about 15 minutes. The food was excellent and the noodles were great. So chewy :) We ordered way too many noodles. Nom nom nom. Definitely order the potato noodles or the special broth.

It comes with 1 hot clay pot rice, 1 soup noodle, and a decent sized snack. A few choices for each of these items. Check the menu out. Honestly can't ask for more and this is why it gets jam packed easily at lunch time. Good news is that people are usually eat-and-go without sticking around for long. So even with the crowd, you might be able to get a seat in 10~15 min during the busiest time. Alternatively, quite a bit of people simply call-in for takeout's and Uber. Awesome price-value, decent comfort food with great taste, jam-packed at lunch time. Not a bad choice.

It was really oily, though the noodles were really nice and chewy. I found the pool of oil quite difficult to get past though. Next we got the classic beef noodles. We went for the flat, soft noodles which were great. As they state though, it gets really soft and mushy after a bit, so I recommend maybe sticking with the regular chewy noodles. The beef was soft and the radish was sweet. The soup base was comforting in a way but also very heavily salty. I couldn't tell if there was just a lot of MSG in there, but I couldn't sip on the soup much. We also ordered the shan xin bao, which is a fried soup dumpling of sorts. The breading was really thick and the soup was quite sweet. Not really the taste we were use to. We also got the pig ear and cucumbers cold dish. This was absolutely swimming in oil as well. They chop up black bean in there for flavour and it just added a really bitter taste. We didn't end up touching most of this, opting to bring it home, rinse it, and re-season it ourselves instead so the food wouldn't be wasted. All in all, the service is nice. I think the baked rice could be worth a try, but there's a lot of great noodle options in the area I personally prefer. As always, give it a try! They have a lot of great reviews on Yelp, so it potentially just doesn't suit my preferences.

There is a bit of a wait often when I come on the weekend but service is quick and speedy, in a typical hk-Asian style. The space is also a converted house so the layout is a bit odd and a bit hot in some corners, but manageable. If you cannot do steep steps, ask the servers to have you seated on the main level.
