A little unassuming taco place down Cottage St, a side street in the heart of Bar Harbor. We loved our lunch so much we went back the next day. I had the marinated chicken burrito bowl both days. There was an abundance of chicken, beans, rice, salsa, & crema.. I requested no cheese. The 2nd day I requested extra lettuce, and got more crispy fresh lettuce, the way I like it. So tasty& healthy. My husband had the 3 tacos with the side of beans & rice. He loved the chicken and the beef tacos. The first day he chose veggie for his 3rd and the sweet potato the next day. Those were ok, but he preferred the meat ones. Both days the servers were cheerful, friendly, and attentive. Among the sea of heavier, expensive food options in Bar Harbor, Langosta is a welcome option for something less expensive but fresh, hot, & tasty. I'm writing the review while in the restaurant it was so good, specially I had heard that mexican food on the east coast was alright. We were seated right away and were greeted with a big welcoming smile by Diana. She took real good care of us. My husband was the one eating here so he ordered the vegan chorizo tacos and the sweet potato tacos (mix 3) with a side of guac and rice and beans. The guac was superrrrr fresh and perfect balanced flavors! The beans were surprisingly flavorful and the tacos were delicious too! Kudos to the chef! The decor is welcoming with plenty seating. We were looking for a break from traditional seafood and this was a great choice. The server recommended Barbacoa tacos. They were great. They have a great kids menu as well that was perfect for my five year old. My husband got a combo of different tacos. There is a $7 up charge for lobster and I was disappointed to see it applied twice which made a combo more expensive than getting all lobster but he said it was worth it. Highly recommend. read more

Save your money or go somewhere else. This is the worse Tex-Mex food, definitely not Mexican either since the spices are way off. I don't know how you ruin carnitas or barbacoa, since none had any of the basic Mexican seasoning. The barbacoa was so spicy, I mean spicy hot, and I love spicy food, but this was at a whole different level. Our family had the worse meal here, it was disappointed. We tried Langosta while visiting Bar Harbor after a morning in Acadia. From the outside, it doesn't look like much and you'd probably walk past it if you didn't know what it was. Inside, while a small storefront, is a very nicely decorated restaurant with good vibe. The Pros: The staff was very friendly, quick to seat us and take our drink/food order. The food came out very quickly as well and was delicious for the most part. We started with an appetizer of the trio of dips (salsa, queso and guacamole w/chips), then ordered a chicken quesadilla and a barbacoa burrito bowl. The chicken quesadilla and the burrito bowl had a great flavors. The Cons: The trio of dips was good, less the guacamole. It came out with liquid in the middle of it and had absolutely no flavor to it. That said, the salsa and the queso were very tasty. While overall delicious, the portion sizes and the pricing are not aligned. $51 and change before tip is astronomically high. read more

Omg there is so much to say about this small Mexican restaurant! We came in around 2 for lunch they were able to fit a party of ten in with only 26 seats. THIS IS THE CUTEST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER SEEN! The colors are beautiful together and the decorations fit right in! I ordered my food within minutes. And was so impressed by my food! I ordered the chicken quesadilla with a side of sour cream. Hands down the best quesadilla I have ever had in my life! My friends all said the same. The quesadillas were large and filling (especially after a 15 mile bike ride ‍). I don't know if I was just hungry but I would absolutely come back but unfortunately ten hours in a car is not the most fun . This place deserves a 10 stars easily. Seriously impressed with this little taco shop! We had the beef barbacoa, pork carnitas and the lobster tacos and while all three were scrumptious I'll be dreaming about that barbacoa later for sure. Pro tip- get the cilantro lime sauce and pour over your tacos, esp if you're getting the lobster tacos. Our 3 year old got the quesadilla and black beans and ate it up. IMO; the black beans and rice can be improved upon. Hubs got the blueberry lemonade and I got a lime margarita. The margarita was fantastic- none of the syrup-y junk. The blueberry lemonade was perhaps one of the best drinks I've ever had? My eyes rolled back in my head while drinking it so so yourself a favor and grab one of those. We got the chips and queso for a starter and they were also really yummy. For Bar Harbor pricing I thought the prices were really low, especially for the quality of tacos. read more

The corn was cold and probably defrosted, not your typical take of Mexican corn and I was not a fan. We tried Langosta based on Yelp reviews, and were very happy with our meal, the service, the price. The restaurant is relatively small but bright and cheery. I'm not sure why, but we were the only customers at 7:15pm (they close at 8). Service was fast, the margaritas were excellent, the pork burritos were large, filling and very fresh. Excellent meal, will definitely return when we're in Bar Harbor. This is one small business that definitely deserves more customer support, because they do everything you want when you go out to eat. read more

Eat at Langosta! I had a sweet potato taco and a chicken taco. My husband had the beef barbacoa. It was all delicious! Good flavors all around, and fresh ingredients. Even the rice and beans were yummy! Simple white rice and black beans with fresh flavors. We also had the equites street corn - solid thumbs up on that, too! Plus, it was all so pretty! The space itself is really cute. Bright and airy for such a small space. You can sit at the bar or at one of the few tables. I expect it can get pretty crowded on a busy day, but even so I expect you'll get great service. One of the owners was tending bar and serving our table, so we enjoyed chatting with her for a bit. this place was very delicious. we were pleasantly surprised at how good their steak and pork were. fabulously flavored! the horchata and margaritas hit the spot. the place is very cute has a ton of hot sauces and even authentic candy from Mexico. the only thing that would make this 5 stars is their rice. compared to how spot on the rest of the food is seasoned, the rice was totally bland which really brought down the profile of the burrito and bowl we ordered.
