The review is focused on the Matcha Tornado from the perspective of a matcha aficionado. Beautiful swirly drinks pique my interest, so I acquired this drink, reportedly the #1 ordered on the menu. Initial sips were a mix of icy and creamy, but I couldn't quite place the matcha flavor. They use whole milk as a default, so I did faintly taste some form of tea flavor, but it wasn't quite right. To me, it was artificial in flavor, and scooping bits of it from the cup resulted in bits of questionably minty notes with the matcha flavoring, which didn't comprise of powdered tea flavor and lacked depth/bitterness. It was still drinkable, but disappointing. For those who enjoy large drinks, this is a great value at under $8. However, even as they got the sweetness on point, the flavor was a bit off-putting, so I couldn't finish it. It's not something I'd get again, but I'm open to trying a milk tea and giving this shop another chance, as it seems matcha isn't their specialty. read more

My friend said hers tasted like it had a hint of fruitiness to it - I didn't taste that, and I thought there was a slight caramel flavor to mine. We decided that since it never specified which tea was used, it very well could be a fruit tea. The drink was not to my taste preference, but it wasn't bad. This has to be the worst boba shop I have ever been to. Just because this location is in a tourist spot doesn't mean that it will be good. Me and a friend ordered two drinks one of them being a slushie and a milk tea. The milk tea did not taste fresh the milk tasted bad and artificially flavored. This isn't milk tea it's poison. The slushie was not blended correctly with huge ice chunks and half the drink being melted. Service here is terrible for making disgusting drinks. The peach boba was difficult to make out until the last 1/4 of the drink. Do be cautious in sucking the boba through the straw as a couple went straight to my throat that prompted me to gasp. I really like that they have a good variety of fruit drinks though it would be nice to know the descriptions more clearly before ordering. It was September 3rd 2023 when I flew up to visit my dear friend in SF for the first time. She took me to Japantown to show me around her new stomping grounds, and during our visit, we decided to find a sweet treat. I initially wanted boba, so we stopped by Pink Pink. We were probably drawn in by the name (we love the color pink), but ended up getting the peach ice cream to try something together. From the very first spoonful, our lives were changed. We were so delightfully surprised by how good it was. We were taken aback and wonderfully happy with our selection. It was PHENOMENAL! We became instant fans. Now, everytime I come up to the Bay to visit her, we stop by for the peach ice cream. She never gets it without me (she wouldn't dare) and we look forward to it every time. It's just as good every time we get it and it's a treat that we will alway look back fondly on. IT'S AWESOME!!! We love you Pink Pink Peach Ice Cream. During this specific trip we stopped by on my first day in, but THEY WERE OUT We were both so sad when we saw the out of stock image on the kiosk and immediately went up to the workers and asked when they would have it again. Thank god, they explained to us the machine was done but it would be up again the next day. So of course we came back as soon as it was back. The Cheesefo Very Mango (mango coconut slush with salted cheese foam topping) is my go-to, but I also enjoy Matcha Tornado. Yes, pudding in a jar reminds me of Jell-O pudding cups. Finding this place was a happy accident and turned out to be one of the best stops of our day trip! My husband pointed out their peach soft serve and I love anything and everything peach. It was super easy to order on their kiosk. I wish they would ask for a name or give you an order number on screen though, because I chose "no receipt" and then had no idea what order number I was when they called out orders. It's a fairly recent chain that I haven't heard of until now and all of their locations are exclusively in the Bay Area with one that will be opening up in Las Vegas.
