I enjoyed the coconut mango boom! The drink had a slushy consistency that was refreshing, sweet, and fruity. The mango was perfectly ripe with just the right balance of sweet and tart. They had a ton of orders lined up for pickup, but I was impressed that mine was ready within five minutes of ordering.
My son wanted Hey Tea, so we ordered online ahead of time so we don't have to wait. There were 31 cups of drinks ahead of us. It is crowded. So glad we ordered ahead and was able to pickup the drinks in 9 minutes and didn't have to wait while we were driving to get the drinks.
This is my preferred HeyTea location. The wait tends to be shorter than other locations, and order through the app ahead of time to skip the line! Nice and causal space with mostly standing room. The staff is friendly and efficient, which makes the experience even better. It's located in a plaza with a parking lot, although parking can definitely be a challenge as it's crowded on the weekend. I ordered the Crisp Grape Boom, my go-to drink. It's refreshing, packed with fresh-cut grapes, and consistently good.
among north San Jose/santa Clara area, this heytea is my go-to place specially they have any new items or new promotions Yesterday they released new drink with US open special goods (sticker and magnet) for magnet, you need to redeem your points through app early when system opened. Major reason I picked this place to pick up because anytime heytea is holding special event, this location is the most efficient and less wait time! For USOpen special goods, after choosing this store for pickup, and ordered ahead before 12pm, I was able to get my drinks and goods when I arrived. Sticker quality is better than I expected, it has 3d effect and magnet is cute! It is a hidden germ among Santa Clara/SJ area! If there are any further heytea new drinks, new promotion, pick this place as your 1st choice, it will save your time and give you a better pickup experience! (Tip: order ahead, and order goods early after system opens)
HEYTEA is hands down my ultimate favorite tea spot across the world. In Korea... In China... in Singapore... HEYTEA's quality upholds. And in California... HEYTEA is still one of my favorites. The difference type of flavors, the BOGO deals, and the simple branding makes the experience even better. I will say the service is a bit slow, be prepared to wait like at-least 8 minutes if it's a busy day (and it almost always is). But it's WORTH the wait always. I've never thrown away a half full HEYTEA drink. I've finished each one in under 20 minutes. Lol.
Tried this place when they first open and was not a fan. I gave it a second try as my GF said the mango slushie drink was good. She was absolutely right. Just the right sweetness for me. Love the fresh mango. Love the texture and creaminess of the drink. It also had little tapioca balls and live the coconut jelly. Just a yummy drink. Pricey but worth it. Luckily line was super short when we got here. I got the coconut mango boom and it was delicious! Love the mango bits, sago, and coconut chucks in there. Even though I'm not a fan of coconut, it went really well together. My husband got the pistachio cloud jasmine coconut and that was good too! Nutty yet refreshing. Great place to go after dinner. BUT... parking is horrible!!!
Came back to try other drinks. This time we tried Coconut Mango Blue, Crisp Grape Boom. They are both really good, refreshing and delicious. The coconut mango blue is also very pretty in color. Bear in mind that they're always busy and be prepared to wait at least 15+ mins for your drink.
The fragrance of the teas as you walk into this shop are wonderful, and I can see why it's a popular boba shop. I stopped by with my husband and got the king jasmine guava milk tea with brown sugar boba, while he opted for the coconut mango slushie. We both enjoyed our drinks, although I think I would like to try something sans milk next time as the tea itself seems to be of good quality. The boba was softer than I typically like it, but had good brown sugar flavor. The interior is almost aggressively trendy, white, and fairly minimalist, but is very clean and the staff seems to have a pretty organized system going for the orders. As mentioned, the fragrance of the brewing teas in the shop is wonderful, but it is a noisy environment so we ended up moving to the outdoor seating to enjoy our drinks. Orders are made through the kiosks, so the only interaction with humans is pickup at the counter. Overall, the tea seems good here, so I am looking forward to the next opportunity to stop by and try something from their menu.
Me and some friends wanted to get dessert after having dinner. The line wasn't long at night so we got to get our drinks in about 10min or less. The drink(s) are really good however if the line is super long, especially during the day, I'd say going to another boba shop is better. I wouldn't say its so amazing that waiting even half an hour is justified. The shop is very cute but always loud as they have a full team making all kinds of drinks. Lots of other good food around though.
Stellar drinks, unmatched flavors and quality tea Heytea is one of the top tea spots in the bay, and San Jose is lucky to have multiple locations in such close proximity to one another. The flavors on the drinks are top tier-my favorite drinks being the coconut mango boom and the king jasmine guava. The service is efficient and no-frills. I went on a BOGO day and waited an hour. Despite the crowd, employees were pleasant and once you reached the front and ordered, your drink was ready within five minutes. Great organization on the store's part. On the other hand, on weekdays it's manageable to get a quick drink from here without a crazy wait time. I can't emphasize enough how high quality the tea and flavors are here. Mango pulp in the coconut mango boom is incredibly fresh, and the king jasmine guava has a wonderful, flavorful creamtop sitting above delicious tea. Heytea sits atop an already competitive specialty drink scene in the Bay Area-for good reason.
Stopped by on a Friday afternoon, there was a smallish crowd compared to what it's like on the weekends. Cloud Mango (4/5) - Love the creamy texture and bits of mango, which contrasts nicely with the cloud. I ordered at the lowest sweetness possible, but it still came out way too sweet for my liking. Triple Matcha (4/5) - Nonsweet, grassy, and strong. If you love matcha this would be a great choice. This is more of a grab and go place. The limited seats that are available are more for chilling as you wait for your order. I recommend ordering in advance.
Drove from Monterey just for our favorite mango coconut. Always a delicious treat! First time at this HeyTea location, ample seating inside and outside. Its more like a 'pick up your drink and go' and no restroom in sight. Service was fast.
So it's been 2 official visits to HEYTEA... and I can confidently say "I GET THE HYPE!!" This joint obviously doesn't stay consistently busy for nothing. Long lines of people standing inside and outside has always deterred my visits previously but again, that in itself speaks highly of this tea shop. HEYTEA prides itself on using only the best ingredients. Real milk, high quality tea leaves, & avoiding artificial flavorings is how they roll. Being a tea lover myself, this joint is heavenly!!! The menu consists primarily of fruit teas but offers tea lattes, a couple of milk teas, regular brewed tea, & specialty drinks offered depending on the season. Purchases have included: * Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea * Crisp Grape Boom * Coconut Mango Boom Tea * Supreme Matcha Latte * Jasmine Tea Every purchase has been thoroughly enjoyed & absolutely delicious aside from the supreme brown sugar bobo milk tea. This just wasn't worth the money or calories IMO. Fruit teas are my preferred items because they are refreshing, delicious, & offers a boost of caffeine where it's need. 5/5 stars. Staff works really hard and always provides the best tasting drinks even with the heavy traffic that keeps them working nonstop. They are friendly and helpful towards any questions you may have. Teas are perfectly steeped and drinks are made with precision- you won't find anything half a**ed here. Tea flavor isn't overshadowed by sweeteners nor does it leave that yucky bitter lingering aftertaste that you get when tea is brewed incorrectly. This place was very busy when I went. However, you can order online to skip the huge line in store! Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience with my online pick up order. After receiving the text that it was ready, I went in and was told one of the drink was almost ready. After seeing both my drinks ready, the lady decided to help another person. After, she had asked me to wait again.... And again. I thought that was really rude given that I was already waiting and my order was ready. Instead of handing it to me, I had to wait until everyone got their order first. Took an additional 15 minutes! Was very uncalled for. The drink, however, did not disappoint! If you really like coconut flavor base drinks, this is the place for you. read more

This location is in a plaza but it is a very busy plaza especially on the weekends. Parking can be difficult. I heard great things about this spot and wanted to try for myself. I came on a Saturday and it was so packed. This location was very crowded. Their was people both inside and outside waiting. They have an electronic ordering machine and someone in the front to take orders. When I went, both had lines. I ordered the Coconut Mango Bloom which is their take on mango sago drink. It took about 15 minutes to get our drinks. The flavor was very good and not too sweet. There wasn't any room for us to sit because it was crowded so we left and drank our drinks somewhere else. I tried their matcha and the Coconut Mango Bloom and both were really good! read more

My nephew came to surprise us one night (theres like 11 of us at home) while we're watching football(niners game)....We already finished our dinner and had boba. When he came he was carrying all these brown bags with the Kale boost teas lol We thought it was boba! Good thing it was all Kale tea!! They come in cute containers and reusable for quite a few times. I put chia seeds and water with lemon juice and turmeric plus cinnamon and honey for my daily morning water after waking up. Something healthy and refreshing! Have to try their other stuff though. Will update my review once I tried them. read more
I remember passing by this place numerous times, but always a long line out the door not so on a Friday morning and being the only customer was greeted by the staff so attentive they gave me hints on some of their popular drinks. I chose the pure matcha latte regular ice less sugar you can pay cash up front or by creditdebit via kiosk or app whichever is convenient. The pure matcha latte has a well balance flavor a sustained energetic drink wouldn't mind having that again. Judging by past reviews it's best to come by on a weekday rather than on a weekend to avoid the long wait and less hassle in search of a parking space. Interior not as spacious though I prefer this location than the one in Milpitas. Will make this my go to spot for its matcha latte tea. read more
One of my favorite boba spots in the Bay! I try out new places but I can always count on this one to be reliable and delicious. I always get the cloud matcha latte or the supreme matcha latte if I want that extra matcha taste. By the time I get home my drink is almost gone it's just so good! I've also tried my friend's drink which was the crisp grape boom. Sweet and refreshing. This is a busy plaza especially on the weekends so keep that in mind if you come. I order ahead of time on the app and by the time I drive over it's usually ready. They also opened up a new location on Sunnyvale that's also in a shopping plaza. Both are good. HEYTEA was a pretty nice spot to try. I ordered the Matcha Cloud Cream Cheese and the Brown Sugar Boba. The matcha was okay, but honestly not too special for me. It tasted decent and the cream cheese topping was smooth, but I probably expected the matcha flavor to stand out a little more. The Brown Sugar Boba was better in my opinion. The drink was sweet, creamy, and the boba texture was pretty good. The store was clean and had a nice vibe, and the service was also quick. Overall, it was a good experience and worth trying if you like milk tea. read more

Real ingredients. That tea kept me up. But I don't normally drink anything with caffeine except boba. And this passion fruit drink kept me up. They only have real milk too so I didn't get the milk tea which is my usually drink. I don't like grape flavored things because to me they taste like medicine. But my husband got a grape drink and it was so good! I'm getting that next time!! It's fresh grapes. Order on the kiosk and wait for your number. Only a few seats inside. Plenty of parking but don't leave anything in the car there. read more

Absolutely love HeyTea. There's usually a long line, so I highly recommend ordering ahead on the app. Sometimes the app will say that there is a high volume so they close the online ordering temporarily. I still suggest checking back often because the window to order may open online! However, if you are in the area are able to wait, you can order directly with the staff or at the kiosk. The TV screen is handy for telling you how long the estimated wait is, what order number is being prepared, and what is ready for pick up. My go to are the Cloud Crisp Grape and the Mango Grapefruit Boom. But everything I had tried here so far has been good! Parking can be a pain sometimes since there's so many different stores, but there is parking! Just gotta circle a few times or be lucky, especially during prime time. read more
Heytea really needs to rethink their ordering and pick up method especially on busy days like their BOGO days. They just launched their pistachio cloud king Jasmine milk tea and were offering a BOGO deal for it so the place was packed. I lined up around 4:30pm and it was really slow moving. I was finally able to order at 4:50pm and got my recipe where I could check to see where in line I was and what my wait time was. While I was waiting, I noticed that the pic up counter was full of drinks that no one was seemingly claiming. Everyone was waiting and watching their position in line that don't seem to update at all so one girl went up to ask if her drink was ready. Turns out it was ready a long time ago and was just sitting on the counter, and would have just sat on the counter if she just followed their tracking system. So I went up and asked if my drink was ready and the worker said it was not. So I waited and then I saw her pick up my drink (could tell bc mine were the only drinks with no ice) and then set it down on the counter. No scanning and updating their system. So I went up again and asked if my drinks were ready and this time they were. When I left, I checked my position in the waiting que and it said there were still 24 drinks ahead of me. There were also still a sea of drinks that were left to be picked up. I know it isn't any of the workers fault as they were all working very hard to churn out the drinks on time, I just wish they were using the system already set in place so that the customers know when to pick up their drink on time. The Pistachio Cloud King Jasmine was pretty good though I could only taste the jasmine once it was mixed up. The tea was VERY fragrant and tasty while the default sugar setting was just enough to make the drink very enjoyable. When I tasted the pistachio cloud by itself, you can actually taste the pistachios in the slightly salty cream. Overall a decent drink but would prob skip on the pistachio cloud next time. read more

I've gone here three times within the past week, so I guess it's time for me to review! This location is part of an Asian plaza with lots of food options, so it's a good spot for after lunch or dinner. I've gotten the cloud matcha latte and it's been consistently good. I'm not surprised that they're the originators of the cheese tea- their cheese foam is amazing! It's not too thick yet still creamy. Their matcha is pretty good too and I like that you can adjust the sweetness level. It's definitely not the best matcha in the Bay Area, but it's above average! Service has been good. Ordering through the app is super helpful in seeing the wait times. I've ordered through the app during lunch time, mid afternoon, and evening. Evenings get really busy, even on weekdays, but the app stays accurate. Overall, I like their drinks and I'm glad there are multiple locations. Definitely coming back! read more
Yum! This is the second HEYTEA location I've been to and I like this one better than the Milpitas one. There is a kiosk where you can order and then the drinks come out pretty quickly. We went on a Friday around 7:30pm and our drinks were out within 5 minutes. I got the coconut mango boom and it came with delicious fresh mango and ton of sago. Perfectly refreshing and not too sweet. read more

I was excited to finally try out this place and decided to come when they released their matcha specials. We ordered our drinks online and it was ready when we picked it up. Prompt service and small space on the side. Premium matcha - matcha latte TOPPED with matcha cream. I belive it also came with mochi at the bottom. Rich in matcha, taste good after not drinking it right away. Triple Matcha - wow! this is probably the richest matcha drink I've ever tried. 3 different types of matcha. It was too much for my preference but still good. read more
Out of all Heyteas I've visited, this one is hands down my favorite, for the triple supreme matcha latte specifically! The matcha mochi & matcha jelly were so good. You can actually taste/feel the jelly here. At other locations, I feel like it's literally dissolved into the drink. My friends got the cloud green grape-- wasn't my favorite to be honest. It tasted too syrupy for me, and I don't really drink fruit teas at any store for this reason. Service was quick for a busy afternoon. We walked in and the store was filled with a floral smell--honestly smells so good. Will absolutely be back. read more

Less crowded and more spacious than the Milpitas location. It was easy to order on their kiosk in front of the entrance. I finally got to try the Kale Boost since they sold out easily in Milpitas. Very refreshing, sweet, yet I preferred more chia seeds. Therefore, I went home to add more. I also enjoyed the Triple Matcha, which I inhaled the whole drink under 10 minutes, including their matcha pudding topping. Overall, it took 20 minutes to wait for my order and the main seats were low, which fits me since I'm short. read more
Drinks were refreshing! I really enjoyed the jasmine latte with the matcha top, as it did taste very floral. The matcha part was a little bit too light for me, as I wish it was more flavorful. The yumberries boom had a slushie-like consistency and was nice for a hot day. It wasn't super sweet and tasted healthy. read more
New favorite boba spot!!! All their drinks are amazing but my favorite is the mango coconut boom. Absolute must try. The service is very efficient and the drinks come out quickly even when it is busy. Free parking lot available, some seating available but didn't really give me the "sit and chill" vibes. I've been to hey tea a few times now since I live about 5 minutes away! My friends/family was raving about this new boba shop so I had to give it a try. The shop is pretty small with little to no seating. (It smells good though) I've tried the cloud crisp grape, coconut mango boom, and strawberry boom. My favorite out of the three was the coconut mango boom and strawberry boom. Both drinks were refreshing and amazing! It'd be nice to grab on a hot day. My friend also bought one of the matcha drinks on our first visit but we both didn't like it. One of my new fav spots! read more
Great quality tea. They have self checkout machines you can use to order or from. The service was good but depending on when you go the line can be very long. Heytea has an app if you want to order ahead and skip the line. My matcha tea was great. Can't wait to try more of the menu. read more

I came back to HeyTea to try their Cloud Coconut Blue drink after seeing it all over social media. I ordered through the app since they finally launched online ordering. There were about 63 drinks ahead of mine, and it took around 22 minutes for my drink to be ready. I thought the hype died down, but it's still VERY busy so I definitely recommend ordering ahead online. As for the drink itself, I thought it was pretty good and refreshing. I loved the coconut jelly in the drink! I wish they had this drink without the coconut milk to make it even more refreshing. One thing that disappointed me was not being able to use the 15% off discount that was offered when I first downloaded the app. At the time, their online ordering system wasn't turned on yet, so I couldn't redeem the offer. They really should've extended the promo, especially since the online ordering wasn't ready when the discount was first advertised. read more

I absolutely love Hey Tea. Ever since I tried it back in Singapore several years ago and then had it many times in China, I was so excited when the first South Bay location opened up in North San Jose. Are the lines crazy? Yes. But you can definitely order on the app for pickup later on. I love how hard working the staff is and the monitors lets you know when your order will be ready. If you order on the app, the app will let you know how many minutes your order might be ready as well. I have tried so many drinks already including the strawberry boom, grape boom, the matcha blue cloud and the mango sago. All the drinks have been absolutely amazing and oh my gosh, I'm going to go broke just buying drinks lol. Seating is very limited as there's less than 10 seats inside the shop, so it's more like, order and go kind of place. I can't wait to get more as it has become my weekly fix and my favorite tea shop in all of the South Bay. read more

I think I may have found my new favorite matcha spot. It's tucked away right next to Gen KBBQ in the Hostetter plaza so it may be hard to find + parking is horrendous + the place gets busy...but it's worth it. You can order on the app, on the kiosk, or at the register. It was my first time there and there was a line at the kiosk so I ordered at the register & the cashier was super nice. They ran out of the Matcha blue coconut, so I ended up getting another drink which was probably even better. * Supreme Matcha Latte - 5/5 stars. I adjusted the sweetness to my liking (extra) and I literally could not put this drink down. The matcha was mixed into this drink perfectly so it wasn't grainy or clumpy like other places & whatever salted foam they had on top of the drink was good as well. * Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea - 5/5 stars. I usually don't care for boba as toppings but wow, their boba was just the right consistency of chewy & sweet. The drink itself was also good as well. Overall 5/5 stars. I wouldn't necessarily hang out and drink my drinks at this spot because it looks like it can get very busy and loud, but I would definitely get the drinks as take out. read more

I ordered a mulberry strawberry boom, since it's rare to see mulberry on a boba shop's menu. It's a slushie, and I asked for light ice and minimal sugar. I wasn't familiar with how mulberries taste, but this drink overall reminds me of blueberry and blackberry flavors and it tastes somewhat like hibiscus as well. It is fruity, somewhat acidic, and more thick/clumpy rather than smooth liquid in texture. I thought it was interesting and unique. read more

Flavor (3/5): I ordered the mango sago. The flavor was very light, but the sago texture was spot on. I appreciate that they used fresh mangoes. However, compared to the Cantonese it isn't close. Instagram Worthy (4/5): The cup design is very cute. The location that they opened in this plaza, typically never keeps business for over a few years. The interior was modeled very simply. Service (3/5): You order at the kiosk and they give you a number. When I went, there was a bit of a wait and I feel like 30 minutes for boba is too much of an ask. Takeaways: Probably the best boba spot in this plaza but there are so many other options in San Jose that are better. Pretty pricey as well. read more

Coconut mango boom - 12/10, my usual order and it's amazing!! perfectly not too sweet and tastes delicious I will continue to support Heytea as I consider it one of the higher tiers of boba. Finally got to try this boba spot! and I gotta say, their drinks are solid. The Matcha Jasmine Latte was so good. Definitely making this place one of my top boba spots. I asked for extra matcha, and it was the perfect strong flavor. The jasmine tea was also really good and I kept it simple with less sweetness and no toppings. Next time I wanna try the Cloud Mango Sago which I heard is pretty good too. Only thing is, the lines can get pretty long, so I'd recommend ordering online and picking it up. Overall, didn't disappoint! read more
I tried this place twice to test the consistency. For ONE drink... IN: 1132pm OUT: 1147pm I have ordered both with boba / not very consistent: Definitely pricey drinks at a base of $7.99 (whereas solely their iced teas with no additions seem to range as $3.99 per the person who ordered in front of me) 1) red grape (1st time trying) - every grape's skin was magnificently peeled - boba warm and chewy 2) red guava with green grapes - tops of grapes weren't peeled and you can definitely taste the skin (didn't realize the vast difference until now) - red guava flavor tastes real and fresh, definitely came through the product every sip - boba not as warm but still chewy - well blended... creamy and not slushie like at all AMBIANCE: - cute and modern bright furniture - can sit and chill, have a conversation - lots and lots and lots of drinks made SERVICE: - I guess a ton of people order online because I don't know how there's so many drinks made no matter what time I go and it ALWAYS takes FOREVER LOCATION and PARKING: - in the 99 Ranch plaza of Hostetter - near Kura sushi // GEN - across the street from Costco - lots of parking however may be a tight squeeze due to the number of stores; private lot + free I will definitely keep trying this boba shop and their other locations. So so good & refreshing!!! I can see why everyone is hooked. Yes, the drinks are on the more expensive side but the quality makes up for it. Nothing here is sickly sweet and gives off a much less artificial vibe compared to other shops. My favorite drink is the mango coconut boom which comes with so many delicious toppings, freshly blended mangos, and coconut milk. I also like the passion fruit tea, mango cloud, coconut matcha, and the new jasmine matcha is pretty good too. I always finish the drinks so fast cus it's just that good! On weekends there's almost always a wait, but workers do a good job of making drinks fast. I overall highly recommend heytea for an occasional splurge for higher quality drinks! read more
The menu and ordering kiosk identify drinks that are dairy free!! I love that! It's so inclusive and easy to identify without getting my hopes up for a drink I can't consume! I ordered from their In Season section. There is only one ordering kiosk so a line can form but it will go quickly as long as the people in the line know what they want. Guava Green Grape - this drink has frozen grapes at the bottom. The guava flavor is prominent without tasting artificial. It's like a guava candy Passion Fruit Blast - the drink is a simple passion fruit green tea with crystal boba. It did have a bit of a subtle bitter after taste that I personally did not enjoy but my partner didn't seem to taste that same after taste. It does taste like it's made with real passion fruit.
