Short rib, mashed potatoes and tbh not sure what was on top, I didn't see on menu and didn't try.

Great service, atmosphere, and food. Would definitely go back bc the menu has so many items I wanted to try. I'm picky about my short ribs and HG did not disappoint; give the chef a raise! You could choose two sides, I did a house salad (not an option so a little up charge) and mashed potato's.

We came on a Saturday during Happy Hour and got to try a few items from the Happy Hour menu. Our waitress Lisa was wonderful and kept checking on us to make sure everything was ok as well as asking what our favorite dishes were. Our favorite dish was the baked Mac and cheese. It was served in a mini skillet and super delicious! The firecracker steak was also really good. Steak was tender and had an interesting sour/ savory sauce over crispy rice. Bread was warm and fresh, I recommend! Wagyu sliders were also yummy but I thought there was too much pickled red onions so it overpowered the rest of the slider. The bistro filet and dip was flavorful. We ordered both the regular fries and sweet potatoes. I actually really liked their fries because it was batter fried. The only item I didn't like was the pulled pork street tacos. I thought the meat was too dry and didn't like the cheese and creama sauce. Everything was shareable and overall really delicious. Also I read other reviews and can agree the glasswares weren't clean during our visit. Our glass of water had mouth marks from previous guests.

The food was excellent. Our entire party of four agreed. We had the the Pollo Negro, Tacos, Crab Rolls, Wagyu Sliders and Salads. Service was perfect. (Just please update your website menu. I looked forward to a couple items that were no longer in the restaurant's menu.)

It's been several years since my last visit to HG Bistro. Overall this visit was a good one. Food was good, but keep in mind I only ordered appetizers, and the drinks were great. Service was polite, friendly, and informative, but it took an extended period of time for just about everything. Our food took about 40 minutes to arrive after we ordered, drinks took awhile, . The restaurant itself was fantastically clean, with a very laid back classy vibe.

I have been wanting to try out this place as my boyfriend's aunt is an amazing foodie with fantastic taste and she raved about this place. I had this place bookmarked for a long time and was so happy to finally have taken it off the check list. We came in during their lunch and happy hour on a weekend. As we arrived, we were greeted warmly by our hostess and server. Once we were seated and presented the menus, we definitely took a bit of time to look over our options. My boyfriend got their French Dip and I got the Cuban, and in addition, we also ordered the coconut prawns and crab rolls from their happy hour menu. The inside of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous with thoughtful and elegant décor, furnishing and lighting. I can definitely agree that this a great place for a date night or even a professional meet up. It took some time to receive our food but it all arrived hot and delicious. The coconut prawns and crab rolls shared the same sauce but it complimented both appetizers perfectly. The Cuban was very tasty as well as the crispy fries and my boyfriend was very pleased with his French dip. We decided to close the experience with the signature dessert, the s'mores and it was honestly probably my favorite ways of enjoying any s'mores. As our waitress explains how the dessert process works while showing off the amazing presentation that gives the s'mores an extra level up from your usual s'mores, I almost ordered another one because that was just how divine and heavenly each bite was! Definitely looking forward to coming back to try out their dinner menu and get more of that s'mores.

It's been about a year since I've came here last. Service is still excellent! They are priced reasonably especially for cocktails. We got the Gorgonzola Pear Flatbread, Steak Chop Bistro Burger, and the Moroccan Surf N Turf. Everything was cooked to perfection. Restaurant is dark and cozy to set the ambiance for a night out. Must try in Puyallup if you haven't already. (Updated menu is on their website)

West Pioneer Grill was walking distance and one that we haven't visited before, so we decided to give it a try. We clearly made it before the market rush because there were a good amount of tables open and we were seated immediately - 10 minutes later the place was nearly full. Definitely casual vibes here but that's what we were looking for. Our server, Jesse (easy to remember because that's my husband's name LOL), was great and we didn't have too long of a wait for anything. Limited selection of alcoholic beverages. I got a bottled Space Dust and my husband is a cider drinker but they didn't have any, so he also went with a beer. They do also have some liquor options. If you're a milkshake fanatic, we saw a milkshake menu that had to have at least 30 options on it! We weren't starving so we decided to split the fish tacos and it was the perfect amount. The tacos were good and were a generous size. We loved the sauce that they had it topped with, definitely pulled the entire dish together. Our son got some chicken strips and naturally, he loved them. We tried them and they were good - plus the ranch they have is BOMB. Very dilly, and really good! I think the only negative thing I really noticed was that the restaurant didn't feel the cleanest (observations from bathroom + flies) but could just have been an off day. Glad we checked out this spot and would definitely come back in the future for their extensive milkshake options!

He walked around chatting with everybody personally, showed off dishes as he walked through the restaurant, and was even happy to let diners take a peek at his kitchen (how does he make all this magic happen on TWO CAMP STOVES?!) The menu isn't massive, but everything on the menu is executed with precision and grace. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted but I've had my eyes on the Lobster Bomb for years. My husband got the "Tiny Burrito" which is quite literally the size of a newborn. The Lobster Bomb was excellent. Generous chunks of succulent lobster and the hollandaise was perfect! Subtle on the lemon flavor as to not overpower, but still rich and creamy. I tried my husband's burrito and the chorizo gravy is stellar. You could easily share this with 1-2 other people in my opinion. It lasted my husband two leftover meals! The restaurant itself is small but it's cozy and feels like you're at home. That said, despite how busy it was, the line moved surprisingly fast. I ordered a double cheeseburger with everything, a side of onion rings, and a black raspberry shake. The shake was fantastic--definitely a highlight of the meal. The burger was also really good: flavorful, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. The only disappointment was the onion rings. They were incredibly greasy--so much so that they actually upset my stomach. I'm not sure if that's typical, but I probably wouldn't order them again. Next time I'd give the fries a try instead. One thing that really stood out was the pricing. It's refreshing to find a place that still offers fair prices when it feels like everything else costs an arm and a leg these days. Overall, I'd definitely come back. The burger and shake were worth it, and as long as I skip the onion rings, I think it'll be a solid meal.
