Back again, solo this time! I wanted a little 'Me' time and thought of visiting the Hi Tulip Cafe to check out the inside of the restaurant. The decor was quite quaint and colorful. The booths could seat for 2 and 4 people. Tables were available for larger groups. Holly was my server and she had a cheerful, welcoming attitude! Her service was prompt and she ensured everything was fine. Oh my goodness, the aroma of the Chai had hints of spices and was flavorful. My parfait was not only beautiful to look at, it was tasty as well. The fruit (strawberries and blueberries) were fresh and the yogurt was tasty. The crunch of the oats that covered the yogurt was a surprise since most I've had were usually a bit soggy. So tasty! It you get a chance to stop by this hidden gem, try it out and saw 'Hi' to Holly. For sure, I'll be back again!!

This is our favorite breakfast spot! service is always friendly and the food is so yummy. I love their crab Benedict. My son had the chicken and waffles and said it was the best he has ever had - and my daughter loved her short stack with her hot cocoa (the hot cocoa mug was as big as her head).

I opted to get sweet potato fries they were perfectly fried firm not soggy like most places , [[HIGHLIGHT]]as always great service and ambience many local favorite breakfast spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] ..

#Birthday Breakfast at #HiTulipCafe. Was going to have the Greek Melt, but ended up having a #Veggie #omelet, grits, coffee w/honey. Celebrating my 2nd birthday post- #Covid Alpha... still can't taste the flavors, but am fairly sure it tasted #good bc my #friend, Gary, enjoyed his! Clean restaurant, attentive server, plenty of parking.

Cute little breakfast place my friend recommended. They also have lunch options too and veggie options as well, which I love. Service was good we didn't have that long of a wait even though it was bust. I got the tulip Benedict, which was served on a croissant, which was unusual but it was really tasty. I just wish there was more asparagus or another slice of tomato or maybe some spinach on it because there was more bread than toppings. I think if it had that it would have been perfect!

The food here is always good. I like their Tulip Benedict with the veggies. My husband always gets the Jersey Boy sandwich; he loves the Taylor pork roll and, it is delicious and filling. My favorite though, is the Smoked Salmon Hashbrowns. You get 3 per order but I always forget to take a picture - this time I remembered to do that with the last one! Service is nice and friendly. Get here early! It's a cozy little place inside and they have a nice patio too. If you dawdle around and get here after 10-ish, you'll find you will have to wait. Locals and tourists alike love this place.

Not many people out n about so I couldn't really get a vibe for what the place would be like when it gets busy. But it was a great spot for breakfast and we sat on the rooftop area inside so it was covered from the rain, but I can't wait to go back someday for the outside ocean front deck, even closer to the water. I ordered the Irish Benedicte with hash that is homemade on premise with slow roasted corned beef. Very tasty. The side of Home fries were thinly sliced and I had gravy added to that so it was tasty too. Our server was excellent, Trevor was a very nice guy and he recommended we come back for the all you can eat ribs. I wish I was staying in town longer and I would. I'll make a point to come back next visit.

I ordered the grilled chicken and asparagus, which showcased the kitchen's skill. The grilled chicken was a mix of perfection and slight disappointment; one breast was cooked flawlessly, while the thinner piece was a bit dry, ultimately leading me to leave some behind. On the positive side, the asparagus was impeccable--tender yet crisp, a true highlight of the dish. To elevate my meal, I opted for the butter garlic sauce, which was nothing short of exceptional. Its rich flavor was a delightful addition, enhancing the overall dining experience. However, I found the extra charge of $3.00 for a portion that barely covered one chicken breast and two asparagus spears a bit disappointing. The sauce was so delectable that I ended up purchasing an additional container to take home for the asparagus I had left. **Beverages and Ambiance** The Beachy Sangria was another standout, offering a refreshing complement to my meal. It was perfectly balanced and added a delightful touch to our dining experience. The ambiance at Barnhill's is equally noteworthy. Dining outdoors provided us with stunning views of the waves breaking on the shore, making the meal feel even more special. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, enhancing our overall enjoyment. As for the service, it was good and our waitress was friendly. While there were a couple of minor issues, particularly with the chicken and the portion size of the sauce, the overall experience was delightful enough to warrant a return visit. The combination of scrumptious food, refreshing drinks, and a breathtaking view leads me to rate Barnhill's a solid 4 stars. I genuinely look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu.

(It does say that on the menu, but again, it would have been nice if they took that off for the inconvenience.) The food is over priced and mediocre. 12 dollars for a wedge salad that is about a third the head of lettuce and very little toppings is inflation at it's best. Two dollars to sub fries for chips is also a bit much. The most surprising part was the tipping options starting at a whopping 25 percent, then 30, then 35 percent!! Who is eating here? The beef was incredibly tender, slow-braised in a rich red wine reduction with pearl onions and mushrooms. The cream potatoes underneath were smooth, buttery, and perfect for soaking up that sauce. Every bite was delicious. We started with the Filet Carpaccio, thinly sliced and topped with shaved parmesan, capers, arugula, and crostini. Fresh, light, and beautifully plated. The bar program deserves its own mention. You can order a vodka soda anywhere, but here they elevate every drink with presentation and detail. Instead of a simple lime wedge, I watched drinks come out with full lime rounds resting on the rim. My Chocolate Martini dessert drink was practically artwork -- topped with a dehydrated orange slice, chocolate shavings, orange zest, and crossed chocolate-dipped sticks. It looked incredible and tasted even better. Atmosphere is another win here. Guests ranged from cocktail dresses to casual beachside attire and somehow it all fit perfectly. That balance is hard to achieve, but they've nailed it. We sat on the patio (about 67°) and they had the panels down, which kept it comfortable while still letting you enjoy the beachside atmosphere. Even the hallway to the restrooms was lined with art -- thoughtful details everywhere. Some restaurants look great but don't deliver on flavor. Others taste great but lack atmosphere. This place does both exceptionally well. Dinner for two with drinks came to $131 before tip, which felt very fair for the quality of food, cocktails, and overall experience. We jokingly call it "our bar" because that's exactly how it feels....like home. From day one, everyone made us feel incredibly welcome. Mike and Lauren are the owners of Craves. Lauren was our very first bartender and immediately made us feel like regulars. Mike introduced himself that first evening while we were trying to navigate the parking lot (which can definitely fill up quickly during dinner hours, a testament to how popular Craves is!). We started out enjoying the upstairs bar before eventually finding our home downstairs. The bar staff is truly what sets Craves apart. Courtney, Emily, Monica, Bonnie, and Stephanie are all outstanding, and Lindsay has been an amazing addition to the team. Every visit is filled with friendly faces, great conversation, and exceptional service. Joe greeted us on our first visit and escorted us upstairs to the bar. He immediately noticed my husband's Philadelphia Eagles hat, and discovering they were both Eagles fans was an instant connection that made us feel even more at home. The food is simply incredible. In all the times we've dined here, we have never had a bad meal. In fact, whenever friends or family visit from out of town, Craves is always at the top of our list, and they consistently tell us it's some of the best food they've had. Some of our absolute favorites include the Prime Rib, the 4-ounce Filets, the Stuffed Flounder, the Salmon, and the Scallops & Shrimp Scampi served over pasta. Every dish is consistently delicious and beautifully prepared. Craves has truly become our go-to place, not just because of the amazing food, but because of the people. Mike and Lauren have created something special: a restaurant where guests quickly become family. There simply aren't enough great things I can say about Craves.
