Definitely a top 2 Chinese buffet in the GR area. Food constantly warm, many different options, nice ambiance with the decor, clean overall, very good service. Only real downfall is the pricing. TL;DR - Avoid if you can and go somewhere else. Came here yesterday for dinner - I guess I forgot about the previous "less than desirable" experience. Updates: The food has gotten really bad; a couple things were borderline inedible. Rangoons are all wrapper with less than a tbsp. of cream cheese and I don't trust the sushi. The ice cream bar is self-serve and everyone sticks their dirty hands all over everything. Not that this place was super classy before but it feels dirty. Finally, $50 for two people with sodas, before tip. All in, it was a $60 meal. I hate to say it, but it definitely wasn't worth $60 (and there are so many better options at this price point). I was reluctant to go because of the low rating and reviews I have read. But since we were hungry it was the best option for us today, and I'm glad we did because it didn't disappoint. For me this kind of buffet is a great deal. I'm not going to compare the selection of food they have to a five star/$$$ buffet. Not a fair comparison! This buffet is very economical and has a lot of good food to offer for its price! On top of that, the service was excellent! They cleaned up tables according, didn't even have to ask to get our drink refills, the guy walking by heard my son's cup sounding empty so he politely ask, "would you like a refill?" They've really taken it up a notch!! Used to only be okay, now they're 10/10. Beautiful, clean, amazing hot food.

I'm only reviewing the food because we got 3 containers of take-out from the buffet, although the hostess at the front door was very helpful and friendly. Also, I didn't get anything from the hibachi "design-it-yourself" service because we were bringing the food home, about 20 miles away after a long afternoon at the doctor's office. There is a lot of seafood (shellfish) on the buffet, which I didn't take because I'm allergic. But there was plenty of variety for the seafood lovers. I got teriyaki chicken skewers, chicken wings, chicken and broccoli, some lo mein, spring rolls, green beans, and a steak stir-fry dish. I think that covers it. Everything was very flavorful, although a little oily. The chicken wings were somewhat chewy, but that might have been because we ate them over an hour later when we arrived home. The steak stir-fry thing was chewy but extremely flavorful; again, we ate it later, no problems, it was extremely delicious. It was like eating beef jerky: put in mouth, saturate with saliva and chew occasionally, enjoy flavor. My dog loved it. It was like chewing tobacco (yes, I'm bagging on the steak stir-fry thing, but one must be real.) The lo mein and chicken skewers were so luscious; I'd go back again tomorrow and just pull up my chair to the buffet, lol. I really would, but not the steak stir-fry thing. I was really eyeing the hot and sour soup, but the take-out system didn't include soup. That soup looked good. I've had it before, years ago, so I know. So, this is where the restaurant loses a 5-star rating: The price for their take-out program. The price stated on the door was $22 per container and some change. Let's just say $23. The styrofoam containers were rather shallow, meaning that you couldn't put a lot in them before you could latch down the cover. I put six chicken wings in the third styrofoam container and knew I couldn't latch it down, so I stuck that third container on the bottom of my 3 containers when I went to pay (6 chicken wings for $22, hee, hee. Yes, I added some more food to the container.) Anyway, that's my review. The buffet food is delicious, if a bit oily. The price for take-out is a bit exorbitant, especially with the shallow styrofoam containers. read more

Horrible management, I ordered a water for my 7month old Baby and found a wrapper from the straw of a kids drink in the cup, the wrapper had holes in it so I was highly concerned for all reasons and asked to seal to management, she came and said oh no worries we find out who did it and handle it then attempted to walk away I believe she told me her name was Angel Jay which I did not believe, I also asked to speak to her manager which she stated she don't know her and said her name was Angela and she's not there and has no contact information, there was food spilled on the floors, tongs with mixed food, flies on the fruit so we barely ate anything yet once we found that plastic we couldn't take it and decided to leave, they offered to take off $10 for the bill, I left that $10 for the tip. Lunch time arrival, 1:30 pm. Service was good, food was below average - drink refills were quick and used plates were taken away. Other than the salad area which was fresh, the main food was not kept warm. I was raised to eat everything on my plate but just couldn't here. The fried fish was the worst - was like biting into a sponge - yuck! The crab rangoon was not fresh, dry, and cold. I could only eat the baked fish, imitation crab bake, stuffed clam shells, and a couple pieces of sesame chicken & Japanese chicken (the second time I went back, the sesame chicken was literally so "liquidy", it was swimming in a sauce far too wet and mostly breading anyway. I will never go to this place again. I went today Sunday for the all you can eat crab legs. I was there for an hour and 15 minutes. Guess what? I never got crab legs. I complained to the manager who told me the reason I didn't get any was because every time they brought them out everyone (meaning like 3 people) standing there took all of them. The only thing "Supreme" about this place is how supremely bad it is. By the time I got back to my table from one single lap around the buffet, half the food was cold. Beans were stiff and undercooked, crab rangoon was tasteless. Meat dishes were more batter than meat. When I explained that the food was bad and I would come back to try again when they were back in full force (when COVID wasn't such a worry), I was still charged for the full buffet, even though I only got one plate that I barely touched because of said bad food. The manager was combative with me and denied that what I was saying was true, citing a lack of other complaints that day. Tables are not spaced out for social distancing. Way too close to be safe. Customers were at the buffet without their masks on. Staff were not telling the customers to put their masks on. Plastic gloves were provided but staff did not tell customers to use them. Did not see any staff replacing utensils or wiping down the buffet lines. Food was lukewarm. Would not go back. This place is called Hibachi but almost all the food is basic Chinese food that you could easily get at Panda Express. The sushi was the typical entry level sushi including California roll and seaweed wrapped in tofu. I'm not a big fan of do it yourself grills, if i wanted to grill up meat and vegetables and dump soy sauce on it, I might as well have stayed home. Just in case you caught on to their tomfoolery they decided to increase the selection of their buffet by two sections that included the basic American staple foods of pizza, mozzarella sticks, and garlic bread. All in all, this place is a great bang for your buck.. If your funds are limited and you like basic Chinese American food then this is definitely the place to go. The selection of food is huge (if you like different styles of Asian chicken dishes). If you like sushi buffet for a great lunch price go to Ming Ten. I've visited on numerous occasions in the past couple of years and the food is consistently decent for the price. The staff are great, hibachi is great. We visited earlier today to celebrate my grandmother's birthday and upon leaving, my mom (who is normally a healthy looking brown skinned lady) looked a shade of white similar to that of Casper the ghost. She had to visit the restroom a few times on the drive home -- she suggests it's food poisoning from eating undercooked shrimp. I'm not too sure about the details but it's clear that it was from visiting the restaurant. This is my only indecent experience here of the past years of visiting but still not happy about it. The food was good but it wasn't great. The customer service was definitely a 1, we weren't talked to that much. I know it's a buffet and food isn't always being freshly served, but some of the food had gone bad and was gross. My husband got the cheese mushrooms and crawfish. The mushrooms had gone bad and the crawfish had gone bad before they were even cooked. The insides were brown and disgusting. He also let me have a bite of the flounder he had and it was so foul tasting I had to spit it out back on my plate. Your safest bet are the yeast rolls. read more

Ive had better, way better. Yes they have a large selection of food, and a grill but that is their only good points. Ive eaten here a few times and its always the same dryed out, cold, old food thats been sitting too long. Plus the service needs help, like professinal help. They ignore you when you come in, and then when you are seated trying to get a refill or really anything requires great skill. They arnt always, but at times can be very rude. The grill is good but if I want that I would go to mongo bbq. This is the last resort place for me, if I cant think of anywhere else or a friend is set on it I will eat there, but besides that I would rather eat at another chinese place. The only reason they are getting lucky enough to get one star is because the food was warm and there was a decent selection. HOWEVER, it was prime time on a Sunday and I'd expect no less. We will NEVER be back--- we got stuck in a corner that literally smelled so horrid that my husband couldn't eat. He sat there, as best he could, while the rest of our party ate their mediocre (at best) Asian food. Our kids were ravenous so they ate quickly, but the best I could do was pick as the smell overwhelmed the senses. (And my husband literally ordered a water and had NO plates or food of any sort and we were still charged fully for him.) Always busy, best time to go is before 6:30. They are very efficient in clearing dishes and refilling drinks. My complaint was the obviously dangerous blocking of an emergency door by the rest-rooms. Took my dad here for his birthday. The food was good but like many buffets make you wonder an hour later what's going on in my stomach. The waitress took my coupon and gave us our bill with no coupon applied. The lady at cash out gave us a 30% discount for my dad's birthday but no coupon was applied. Let me start by saying that I used to really like this place when it first opened in Grand Rapids, MI. I used to eat their often and really enjoyed it. Recently I took my wife there for a birthday dinner. Everything was going great until I got to the end of my plate. I noticed something that did not look right. It was a bug in my food. Not just any bug but a Cockroach. It was disgusting, especially considering that I had just most of the food off the plate. That was bad enough but when I complained and showed the waitress, they acted like it was a normal thing. This is not some backwoods third world country. Most people here do not think that eating a Cockroach is ok. When I refused to pay they kept arguing with me expecting payment. Needless to say, I will NEVER eat at this place.
