    Salmon Nigiri

We got delivery so we didn't experience the service here but we did get our food in a timely manner! The food was good but nothing too exciting. Some of the dishes lacked flavor and the salmon Nirgir didn't taste very fresh. If you're looking for a sushi option there are better choices in GR!

We love coming here with friends for the hibachi dinner. Service is always great and it's a fun environment.

Very quick service- got my order pretty quickly. It I can be pretty hidden! It doesn't hold a lot seats so I would suggest making a reservation. If you can park on rainbow road that would be best. Division is currently under construction! It is cute and intimate vibes. I loved the vegetable tempura roll and the hibachi menu is always a good bet! Always order yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce!

So happy to have an ayce sushi in GR! Great food and great service. I was impressed that one waitress covered the whole lunch crowd with ease.

    Rainbow Roll Combo Lunch Special

I saw that they finally opened another restaurant in this spot and knew I had to try it. If I could give 3.5 stars, I probably would but I'd round up closer to 4. Nagoya is conveniently located off of Divison/Monroe Center (where Osteria Rossa used to be) and I love the idea of another sushi place being downtown! We arrived right as they opened (11am) for lunch and it took a few minutes for someone to greet us and seat us, but once that happened, the service was great! He was super friendly and attentive. Given it was lunch, we wanted to keep it simple and decided to save hibachi for another night. Plus, we love sushi so we opted to get a lunch sushi combo instead! I went with my classic rainbow and California roll. While my boyfriend got the California and sashimi combo. This is not the best sushi I've ever had but I would say it's the best I've had in downtown GR. People may argue with me on that since I know there are many that love Maru, but I would probably consider going here instead. It was reasonably priced, easy to get to (I walked so just be warned it's downtown parking) and we ordered basic items. The fish was fresh and good sized rolls, so I'd come back if I was around the area and wanted some sushi!

    Lunch AYCE Menu

For AYCE Sushi in Grand Rapids this is one of my favorites to go to as the variety and price is a pretty good balance in my opinion The quality of the ingredients were pretty standard, nothing too special. My favorite rolls were the crunchy crab roll, fire ninja roll, and the Godzilla roll. Would highly suggest the fire ninja roll if you like deep fried rolls. For the nigiri or the "Sushi" section of the menu would definitely recommend the salmon. The service was great, our waitress got our orders in quickly, came out quick, and was very kind. I love the decor there, especially with the art prize going on while I was there it was nice to look at the art while eating. Even so the decor there normally really fit the vibe of the restaurant. Overall I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a spot in Grand Rapids for AYCE Sushi. For $16 (without tip) for lunch is a really great price and the variety of selection is pretty good compared to other places. Especially since they have nigiri you can choose from.

Visiting from out of town and wanted to switch it up and have a break from the standard American and bar fare that seems prevalent in GR. Stopped in on a summer Saturday night at 8pm and my husband and I were surprised to find we were the only other set of diners. We were seated at the hibachi table and treated to friendly and speedy service, and opted for the couple's special. This included soup, salad, fried rice, steak/chicken/shrimp/lobster for $68. Our hibachi chef was enthusiastic despite only serving the two of us on a quiet night and the portion sizes were massive. The hibachi room is dimly lit and has a large projection wall with ever-changing images, adding to an intimate and unique dining experience. Overall a fun and yummy spot for a date or night out with friends.

Fries and brussels were delicious, but the lobster mac is overrated (bland) and our steaks were mediocre. Both were slightly overcooked (not a dealbreaker, but for $85/each I'd expect better). Add in the fact that they just drown them in butter and salt to hide the poor cooking (somehow, very little sear and barely any grill marks on one of the two steaks). Service was excellent - I'll give it that, but it was a little slow at the end once our meal had concluded to get us packed up / being a check. Atmosphere - it feels upscale, but that's just because of the prices and menu selection / options. Food came out quickly, portions were good for the price. They also validate parking for the lot just behind their building (street parking is tight / limited). Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we'd come back. Good news is, there are lots of other options for special occasions in town so weigh your options before booking here.

The food was outstanding -- from the steaks to the lobster, every dish was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. One detail that especially stood out was the team's willingness to accommodate our request for Oyster Rockefeller, even though it was not on the menu. As someone who does not eat meat but occasionally enjoys seafood, that level of hospitality truly meant a lot. It's rare to find a restaurant that combines exceptional cuisine with such gracious service. Thank you to Andrew and the entire team for such a memorable evening. Carvers has an actual kids menu. I don't think any other food stall in the market has a kids menu, so that's a bonus. The kids' menu includes the standard kid fare: chicken tenders, grilled cheese, a hot dog, a cheeseburger. That was enough variety for my children, who picked a grilled cheese and cheeseburger. All of the kids' meals are served with fries. We also got steak fries, which I was told were "very good." OK! The steak fries were what you'd imagine them to be: fries topped with chopped pieces of steak, topped with white cheese sauce. I was impressed by Carvers ready-to-eat offerings in their refrigerated case. They had stuffed baked potatoes, ready-to-grill asparagus, cole slaw, egg rolls, and even elote salad (which is labeled as street corn salad). Lots of delicious-looking foods ready to take with you.
