Typical buffet. Sushi selection was good and buffet had standard fare. Service was pretty slow with drinks and refills.

Hibachi Grill Super Buffet is truly super. Food: outstanding, with non-oriental dishes like pizza and fried chicken as well. Good sushi and an outstanding Mongolian BBQ round out their presentation. Service: impeccable. Friendly and prompt. Ambiance: clean, and they have a TV for sporting events and such Value: a lotta bang for the buck. Everyone I take here comes back on their own later. Many people take home with them food to go. I do. You probably will too!!!

It was an average buffet. Lots and lots of options! However my top items at the buffet was the sushi and the Mongolian grill. The sushi was good for a buffet - an assortment of sashimi and sushi rolls, both raw sushi and cooked sushi. Definitely made sure I ate my money's worth. The Mongolian grill was also great - variety of protein and veggies. And the chef was super nice and kind, with limited English. Everything else was okay. I think there are so many options simply to fill you up! But still average and if you can eat a lot - it can be worth your money. There weren't very many good dessert options. They offer to-go options if you pay by the pound. Oh I forgot - there were a few different soup options and wonton soups! But the egg drop soup was the best of all the soups! We were really hungry late on a Monday night. We came here on a whim. This place isn't at the top of my list but I would come back again if I'm able to eat my money's worth.

We visited this establishment 15 years ago and, regrettably, it left a negative impression. My parents and I typically frequent Pacific Seafood buffet. However, today that restaurant is closed for renovation and we've been craving crab legs. We returned here and, to my surprise, they have significantly improved since our last visit 15 years ago. Definitely, this is a must-try Chinese buffet restaurant. They now offer a wider selection than they did during our previous visit. I definitely will not hesitate to come back again next time.

First time dining here, and it was a great experience! The buffet offers an impressive selection, including all-you-can-eat sushi, Chinese dishes, seafood, American cuisine, fruits, and desserts. The vegetables are perfectly cooked--not overdone--and the buffet is consistently well-stocked. For the price, it's a fantastic deal, especially if you're really hungry. The food is tasty, well-prepared, and there's plenty of variety. The sushi quality is surprisingly good--not quite high-end restaurant level, but far better than most buffets. They also feature a Mongolian grill and, during dinner, serve premium options like king crab, snow crab, lobster, mussels, peel-and-eat shrimp, clams, steaks, and lamb cooked to order. The servers are very attentive, there's free parking, no long waits, and it's not crowded. The space is clean and spacious, including the restrooms. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing friends!

Really need to manage expectations coming here lol. Pretty cheap buffet $18/pp for dinner on a Friday night. Mix of Chinese American foods and a bunch of fried American foods. Almost everything is too greasy and/or salty. More fried batter on meats than actual meat. Big restaurant with wide selection - mostly families which makes sense when you gotta feed the fam on the budget. Just beware that there are often kids running around and touching everything lol. Sushi area was interesting. You can tell some items were sitting out for several hours bc the avocado was so brown. I feared food poisoning so I didn't eat much of the raw stuff - would only get sushi at an actual sushi restaurant. Overall wouldn't return, only came to try since my husband loves the idea of good value meals lol. It will definitely get you full, but taste wise very average or below and you'll probably feel gross after.

The outside of the restaurant is kind of non descript. When we saw "super buffet" we were pretty excited and decided to go in. The servers gave us drinks, napkins and utensils and were attentive and available. The Mongolian BBQ had fresh chicken, pork, and beef. The vegetables were fresh. Sauces were chosen at the grill. Teriyaki. Soy sauce, and hibachi. It was pretty salty and controlled by the cook. I would have liked to see sesame oil, wine, and ginger available, too. And cabbage choice that wasn't just coleslaw. The rows and rows of food had shrimp, dumplings, veggies, noodle and egg rolls, fried and white rice, fruits, salad, jello , cookies, cakes, and desserts. The place was busy and the food steam tables were fresh and full. Something for everyone! We'd go back!

Don't even know where this came from after sitting in the booth.

We came on a Sunday night for dinner, total for 3 was $50+. Cleanliness is non existent here, I walked out with cake batter??? On my leg??? Like how??? I was sitting in the booth with my son and he had red cake sticky whatever it was all over his leg and feet. The booth we sat in was extremely dirty; haven't been wiped down besides the table. The high chair was soooo dirty too. There was a lot of people there, food was either super greasy, salty, or caked with a lot of batter than the meat. My husband enjoyed the dinner; it was OK for me; and acceptable for my son. I think one time is good enough but won't be returning.

We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

We arrived a little after 5pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. But in the next 20 minutes it filled up and there was open sitting at the bar only. The mood was initially quiet but quickly turned more up beat as the restaurant filled and pop rock music was playing. We asked our waiter a few questions about a few of their rolls and he was very helpful with guidance and recommendations. We ordered Salmon Lemon, Spicy Tuna, Salmon Avocado Maki and California rolls to share for two. This restaurant uses purple rice rather than traditional white rice. This was the first time we have tried a sushi roll made with purple rice and we both loved it. It added a nutty flavor and hearty texture. Purple rice is similar to wild rice and far nutritionally superior to white rice with more antioxidant and fiber. Shortly after we ordered we were served a potsticker dish. I mentioned that we did not order the item and were informed the appetizer was complementary. We thanked the server and tasted the dish. The potstickers were nicely pan fried and had a great crust and flavorful chicken filling. Delicious! About five minutes later our rolls were delivered. All were fresh tasting and delicious. Our favorite was the Salmon Lemon roll. We loved the pop the lemon added. Honorable mentions to the Spicy Tuna roll, very well done, excellent balance of heat and flavors. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for a quality sushi experience!

One minute I was savoring beautifully prepared sashimi, and the next I was mentally transported back to middle school by a nostalgic hit from Beyoncé or Ciara. Somehow, it worked perfectly, and shoutout to whoever came up with this Throwback Saturday playlist! We sat at a table in the back and were served by Matt, who was incredibly knowledgeable and made the experience even more enjoyable. He prepared a special omakase list and thoughtfully guided us through the course order, explaining each dish and its preparation along the way. I always appreciate when someone takes the time to share the story behind the food. He truly knew his stuff and was incredibly accommodating, especially since they don't normally offer an actual omakase course during lunch. That personal touch made the entire experience feel much more memorable. One thing that stood out was the variety of preparations and the rotating menu, which keeps things exciting for repeat visits. Every course felt intentional rather than repetitive. The agedashi tofu was hands down the best I've ever had! It was perfectly crisp on the outside, silky on the inside, and sitting in a wonderfully balanced broth. The carpaccio was light, fresh, and flavorful, while each piece of nigiri showcased high-quality fish with excellent technique. One of my favorite surprises was the hamo tempura. Hamo, also known as pike conger, is considered a seasonal delicacy in Japan, especially around Kyoto during the summer. I had never tried hamo before, and I probably wouldn't have ordered it on my own, but I'm so glad Matt included it. It was incredibly delicate, lightly sweet, perfectly crispy, and unlike any fish I've had before. Learning about the history and craftsmanship behind it made me appreciate it even more. And then there was the ocean trout. To quote Matt, the best description is: "It's like salmon with a PhD in deliciousness." I absolutely loved the buttery texture and rich flavor, and it absolutely slapped (my attempt to use slang ). He wasn't wrong! Shimogamo delivers not only excellent food but also an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. Between the attentive service, thoughtful explanations, the rotating menu, and the unexpectedly nostalgic soundtrack, it was a meal I'll happily remember. We also learned they occasionally host unique dinner experiences, such as cutting up an entire tuna or special Sumo Sushi events. Since both the menu and featured items rotate, there's always something new to discover, which gives me yet another reason to come back.

I'm happy to report that yes, yes it is real :) Be sure to check their hours before you go, it's a late lunch/ dinner spot and google shows the restaurant is closed on Monday & Tuesdays. But possibly still does delivery those days? I'd call to be sure. This local hibachi/ teppenyaki grill restaurant is fairly new, maybe opened about 8 months ago, and is run by a husband/ wife team with some supporting staff is doing a great job and I wish them continued success! It was tasty! It was about 6:30pm when we arrived and we must have caught the dinner rush because it filled up fast in there. We waited patiently to place our order, which gave me plenty of time to stare up at the menu boards and listen to the music playing on one of the screens. At first glance you might think, whoa this is pricey, and per entree, it "kind of" is, but you're going to get a lot of food. And quality food too! So, I think for what you will get, there's taste and value to be had. We decided for our first time to keep it simple with the proteins -- chicken and shrimp, then if we like it, we can upgrade to the more pricey steak options next time. We opted for take out and were quoted about 15 minutes to wait, and that is about what it ended up being. Pretty good timing, given it was busy in there. We didn't order any drinks, I saw plenty of soda cans and bottled drink options. One thing I also did notice, there was no restroom, so if you like to wash your hands before eating or just have to go, didn't see anywhere to do that. Which I always think is odd for any place that serves food. Once back at home we opened the containers and everything looked good, which is nice. Sometimes it's not appetizing looking with take out since presentation is less a factor. We plated up our BossBachi haul and found that splitting a burrito, noodles, and egg rolls between 2 of us filled us up, and we even had leftovers. I weighed the burrito cause it felt hefty, it was almost 1.5 lbs. and not just all rice! Had a good amount of chicken and veggies. I saw it on the menu, so I requested they prepare the yakisoba noodles as "boss way" with extra toppings and that was a good move. I liked the shrimp and noodles, very tasty! And finally those little egg rolls were nice and crispy. I hope they maintain their quality standards and keep giving great service with plenty of food per servings, for the price points. Glad we checked them out, we will definitely be back for some grilled steak. BossBachi lives up to its name, its boss!

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.
