I returned to my booth after my second round (trying a bits of items the first round as not to be wasteful) and WOW! Insane winged insect infestation on the diahrea yellow wall where I sat. I told my boyfriend to look, we pushed our plates away. I called over our server and pointed it out and she offered us another table. NO WAY!! I then went to the front desk, told them I wasn't paying and why and left. Too bad cause the food was actually good for a buffet, but if the dining room looks like that... A fairly large variety of Food including: several types of beef and chicken (coconut chicken is my fav), crab Rangoon, lo mein, fried rice, fries, texas toast, a nice hibachi area as well as loads of sushi- a decent variety of salad/ fruit/ dessert. Ive always found the ice cream tasted stale. Overall, I do like this restaurant although the quality of the food isn't phenomenal- they seem to have something for everyone for a pretty good price! If you want high class food with great ambiance and impeccable service, this isn't the place. But if you're looking for a reasonably priced place with a lot of variety, seafood, sushi, and a hibachi grill, then this is it. Total bill about $25 for us two. Weird decor, odd lighting, pleasant employees, no upselling. The dessert cakes, etc, may look like something you've had somewhere else, but it may not taste like it looks. Bathrooms are generally clean. and EZ parking. We avoid weekends and even weekdays after 6 pm. Sometimes buses take their riders there, and sometimes there are big families in attendance. For a 10$ dinner buffet, this lives up to its price. There is nothing extraordinary about this place (although its interior design is pretty cute, haha); the food is typical to any asian fusion buffet with some pluses like hibachi, sushi, and salad bar. Although it has much quantity in food, the quality is lacking. - The sushi selection was tiny and unlabeled (luckily I knew most rolls just by looking at them but no labels is very unhelpful to the newbie). The rolls themselves were very small and poorly rolled.. I saw so many of them fallen apart and scattered on the serving plates. None of it tasted that great, so although it was nice of them to offer, it's not really worth your time. - The hibachi was probably the best tasting thing there, but sadly not really that tasty anyway. I had to load up the meat with salt for some kind of flavoring (although for the heart healthy diet patrons, I suppose this was a good choice!). - The actual food at the buffet parts were all right. If there was one word to sum them all up - GREASY. holy hell, greasyyyy. - The staff was more than helpful and catered to our needs despite the busy time period. This buffet was average at best. Of course they had tons of food as all Chinese buffets do. I definitely expected more variety, and the sushi looked as if it wasn't actively being "updated". I kept looking at my watch, wondering if it was close to closing time, maybe looking for a justification as to why they weren't adding on to it but nope, still had an hour and a half to go. The iced tea was surprisingly good, and the ice cream (scoop yourself) was nice as well (butter pecan, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and mint). Never saw any gnats or flies like older reviews had stated. The floor could've used a mopping, but staff seemed to be working at keeping the food bars clean. I've only been here once with my family and it was decent. Went here during dinner time and the first thing that surprised me was the price...it was only $10. For that price you would expect less choices but there were of good amount of food that you can choose from. There was a mix of Chinese - American food, sushi, and hibachi, which was also included in the price. I wasn't able to try the hibachi because the line was always long. However for this restaurant my two main complaints was that 1) they were extremely slow in refilling the food at the buffet areas and most of the time they just left it empty and 2) the vegetable dishes were salty to the point that you can't eat it. The sushi unfortunately was also mediocre at most but I can live without it. Besides the price, I love the ice cream selection. They give you real ice cream where you can choose the flavors and actually scoop. Most buffets uses the soft served ones and they're usually not that good. I would only recommend coming here just for the price and just needed something to fill you up. read more

My husband and I went a few weeks ago after hearing great reviews. We were immediately greeted and I asked if we could take a look at the food which of course they said yes. Before even going half way in, we decided to stay. Our first plate was made of chinese food. We took our first bite and were delighted. Everything was fresh and tasted perfect. We love our chinese and haven't been to a buffet in many years but I'm not sure where the whole greasy and salty comment came from but we had the opposite experience. I enjoyed it so much, I actually ate FISH at the buffet! I never eat fish at a buffet. The staff and management kept an eye on the food and replaced quite often. It was also a packed house and we found it typical for a large restaurant to be somewhat noisy, but what do you expect in a very large establishment packed full of people? :) We can't wait to go back!! read more

They dont even deserve a star!!!! When i went with my family it was about 60% full. We were immediately rushed to start getting food, as we went to the hibachi station i asked where the chicken breast was. The man responded we dont have that here we have chicken leg meat, ewww how disgusting is that. The rice was hard, the fruit was old and i dont know what meat that was under the sesame chicken sign. And the icing on the cake was our rude waitress who kept rushing us and then got mad when i left her a 2 dollar tip after her being rude...she was lucky i left the dollars. I've been to bad buffets and still enjoyed the food, but this was just gross food all around. Like I'm pretty sure they boiled their buffalo chicken. Everything tasted off like they weren't sure how to cook it. And the few things that tasted ok were cold and hard. I made a salad and I think they some how managed to mess up the lettuce. read more

To be honest, I don't know how someone could leave more than 1 star. In one word: DISGUSTING. I thought I would drop by tonight (Tue 7/30/13) cos I knew the prices were a bit cheaper than other Japanese/Chinese Buffets. Boy was I wrong. I went in and started with the Sushi since that's what they advertise the most. The rolls were half the size of a normal roll and the soy sauce was UNBEARABLY salty. Not even edible. SOMEHOW on my way out, much to my surprise, I was BOMBARDED by 4 employees saying I didn't pay (since you pay when you leave. It's a restaurant style buffet, why I'll never know). I told them the food was horrible and I didn't even have a plate full, but since I was with 3 other people, I wasn't in the mood to argue, so I told them about the food and why I felt I shouldn't pay. If I was by myself I would have run the F**k out of there and no one would be the wiser. I can not emphasize enough to stay away, FAR AWAY from this place. Hibachi will probably be the largest Chinese buffet you've ever stepped into it. I estimate it at over 20,000 square feet. There is a mongolian grill, a sushi stand, and 8 buffet bars, which include Chinese-American standbys such as General Tso's chicken, beef/broccoli and Crab Rangoon. I have a soft spot in my heart for these places - cheap, filling food thrown down gullets all whilst being serviced by masses of toiling immigrants. Must be the American dream all in one. In all seriousness though, the food here is actually not too bad given the massive amounts of people that come in through here. The restaurant can't afford to let things get cold, the food is always hot. The mass of people here is incredible (both individually and collectively); there is generally a line out the door for the opportunity to eat a 2,500 calorie, $6.95 lunch (or $9.95 dinner). Personally, go for the greens and the Mongolian grill. Once in a while, I'll toss in a piece of General Tso's chicken. I only went here because my mom wanted to for lunch. It was her chest day on her diet and she wanted to destroy a buffet. Lol. I can honestly say that the only good thing there was the rice and fruit. Everything else tastes the same! We had a piece of chicken and it still had some feathers on it. Cheap. Lots of food choices. Something for everyone. Food isn't bad, but it's not the best chinese food you have ever eaten, but it won't be the worst either. The gnats and/or fruit flies that occupy the restaurant is what makes this a 2 star. I never expect gourmet food at a buffet, just hot food and full trays. So I'd give this place more stars for meeting those expectations. But I don't care where I eat, a 5 star restaurant in NYC or a hole in the wall dive on a side street in New Haven...I expect the establishment to not have bugs hovering over me while I am trying to eat. This place is in Orange. It's huge. It's trying to be some what fancy for a buffet as it has a fountain and nice wood accents and trimmings. There were not 350 dishes for sure as the website claims. However, the food is definitely worth the price. There is a good variety of dishes. My bf and I loved the black pepper chicken and hibachi chicken. My personal favorite has to be the crab cheese casserole and my bf's was the glazed ham (perhaps the most moist ham that we have ever tasted!). Close seconds were the crab rangoon nad the fried shrimp. We have been to multiple chinese buffets in NY and were disappointed that this one (in new haven) did not have the dim sum side bar and sesame balls, which we strongly believe are the cornerstone of every chinese buffet. read more

I drive from Stamford, CT faithfully once or twice a week to eat here. They have a very large selection and fresh food 90-95% of the time. The main hibachi cook is top notch. The service is the only downside to this restaurant because most of the waitresses are too busy talking to each other, talking about you, or just flat out suck. One early Tuesday afternoon, I ventured to Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet to see what the $6 lunch buffet was about. True to the name, they do offer hibachi. I approached the hibachi section, and immediately I noticed plates and open containers of rice and raw vegetables and meats. I waited there for about five minutes, before I continued to the sushi cart. I wasn't as much peeved by the fact no one was attending the hibachi part as much as there were open containers of raw chicken easily accessible to guests. Might that be against a health code violation? I'm not sure. I can't comment of the quality of the hibachi, only that the setup was strange. The sushi, however, was fairly solid. The rest of the buffet was pretty unremarkable. There were many options- meat, and fish, and noodles, etc. Strangely enough, much of the food was American, ie pizza and pasta. In my opinion, everything kind of tasted the same. There are only so many ways to make fried food in heavy sauce. I may be generous in giving Hibachi Grill a 2 star rating, but because it was 6 dollars and I can't hold too much of a grudge. That being said...I don't think I would return. read more

This place is much better than everyone on here is making it out to be. It's only 10 bucks and I'd say 75% of the food is good. By good I mean as good as whatever you'd get from ur local Chinese take out place. It's not gourmet or five star restaurant but for the price you can't beat it. Food quality is above average for a buffet so if u want to pig out I recommend it as u can eat 10 bucks worth. The sushi is pretty good but only basic rolls are put. However if u ask sushi chef he'll make you whatever u want. O recommend not being a bum and least tipping a dollar If u do this. Though. Hibachi is ok. For the price good. My disclaimer, I was expecting something better but I guess the price would reflect it. Like for the sushi, it only had a bunch of California rolls, not many rolls with actual fish in it. The hibachi grill was ok but no choice of sauce. The other items was typical buffet. They had fish and beef too. They had a scoop your own ice cream section and a dessert section. I don't wanna be a Karen but ya know ‍ This is probably the worst buffet I have ever been to. The first time i've gone, the food was cold. The second that I went there was poor service. Then this past saturday I went was the last time I will ever give this buffet a chance. I am allergic to shellfish and when I was eating my beef and broccoli there were whole pieces of shrimp in it due to cross contamination. I began getting an allergic reaction that wasn't bad due to the amount of consumption but I couldn't eat anymore so my girlfriend and I decided to just pay the bill because we didn't want to be rude and leave. After the bill was payed, the server that didn't seat us, bring our drinks, or have any kind of communication had the audacity to try and force a tip when I didn't believe I should have given them one. I didn't want to be rude but she then began saying tips are required and kept trying to keep me at the table until I gave her money. She then had an attitude when I refused to tip because of my experience. I decided to speak to the manager and he was to no help and just said ok and began acting rude towards us as if we were disturbing him. Just after being seated i started with a plate of salad and rice and mushrooms, someone must have washed the salad with soap made me sick, the mushrooms is the rice tasted like they were from a can that sat for too long, mushy and metallic. My family and I drive up here from Stamford every few months for the blue crabs seasoned in some ginger sauce and the crawl fish. However last night we were disappointed they switched the blue crabs with stone crabs and the crawl fish were in some sauce that did not fit well. Also usually there are people stirring the food every few minutes so the food is just not sitting there but that wasn't the case. Dumplings were burnt. Please go back to the way you were as you were doing just fine. read more
