Good food and clean

The setting is on the street it looks clean and good food. The service is fast and the crew is friendly.

Deconstructed burrito. An Abomination of a so called steak burrito that split prior to opening the wrapper around the burrito.
Jerry L.

Let me start off with the food choices, there is definitely plenty of options to choose from. They all sound appetizing, however, the price to value is definitely not worth it nor does it taste good at all. don't believe me, then you'd better grab urself a gallon of water cuz that excessive Sodium your gonna be eating up is gonna shrivel up ur mouth at ahefty average price of $30. These guy make stops and several locations including on Bauchett street in front of Men Central Jail/ Twin Towers. I ordered the steak and chicken combo which came in at $30. The fried rice and fried noodle and proteins were packed into a small plastic meal prep box. The food was very greasy and loaded with soy sauce from the start. As i began to eat the items, it was very salty right off the bat. I was already thinking that i'm going to be paying for this later, but knowing i paid $30 for this i am not one to waste food. ultimately i felt my blood pressure going up as i had a headache from eating this dish that was soo not worth the price. several months later i returned and decided to try the $15 Hibachi steak burrito that is stuffed with fried rice, vegetables and protein of your choice. note that they charge you 50 cents for any sauces. When i opened the burrito, it was soo poorly wrapped and the tortilla had also split open vertically along the length of the burrito. The foil they used and the paper they used to wrap the burrito had a portion of the burrito exposed in the bag as if they didn't know how to wrap a burrito and secure it in the wrapper. Needless to say, the minute i picked up the burrito the Whole entire thing fell apart in my hands as the tortilla does not hold well at all and disintegrated in my hands. I had to go find a fork at my work station so that I could eat this abomination they call a burrito. I paid for 2 sauces (yum yum, and spicy mayo). The. yum yum sauce added a nice flavor to the deconstructed burrito i had in front of me, but the whole time i was eating this thing, i was so pissed how poor of. quality burrito this was. If it was just a burrito bowl, it would have been much better. but imagine someone buys this to eat on the go, and the entire thing fails apart where it is impossible to hold in your hand to eat and u had no utensils to eat it with. It should be noted that this item seemed a little less saltier then the first time i had the combo platter version. But now i know, Just pass on this spot.

Raw onion

They made me wait 35 min for two sides of fried rice and then they give me a nasty ass rice and smell like only onion it was so bad !

"Chicken" bowl but it's really just a rice bowl with sprinkled chicken bites on top

We split the eggplant tempura, Agedashi tofu, yuzu lemonade. The udon had a bouncy texture and the normal broth was clear. The Uni udon was creamy and not at all overpowering. I surprisingly felt lighter than I thought I would after finishing such a creamy dish. I can only speak of the outside environment since I never went inside. It can be a bit hard to wave someone down since they're so busy. We sat near the doorway and there were plenty of people waiting after we sat down but there was a nice waiting area so it wasn't so cramp.

We also tried the seafood tomato udon, veggie udon, miso carbonara udon, and the fried chicken skin, and everything was delicious. Each dish had its own unique flavor, and you can really tell they put a lot of care into making their noodles. We came on a Saturday for lunch, so we expected a long wait, but it was actually very reasonable and totally bearable. Service was efficient, and once seated, the food came out pretty quickly. Overall, a great spot for fresh handmade udon, and I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

The vibe is awesome inside; there's lofi playing at a nice level and the lighting is beautiful. It feels like an elevated experience right when you walk in. We didn't wait long as it was a Sunday afternoon, and our waitress was so helpful in deciding what to order (the menu is extensive!). We got the baked scallop roll, the crunch spider roll, and the Baja California roll. All three were amazing!!!! We also got spicy tuna crispy rice and the gyoza to start. I am not joking when I say they were the best restaurant gyoza I've had in Los Angeles. Juicy, warm, nice golden crisp on the bottom, and flavorful filling. The baked scallop roll was my personal favorite of the three; it was warm and savory, with an excellent bite from the juicy scallops. It was a great contrast to the Baja roll, which is cold and has crunchy elements to it. And the spider roll was one I didn't expect to like (my boyfriend wanted it), but ended up being my second favorite! The soft shell crab flavor is deliciously salty and pairs great with the surrounding flavors. I'll definitely be back for more!

The venue is small and does not have a bar or indoor waiting area so plan to arrive right on time. The guest waited outdoors until our exact time of seating (and they are right on time). N/Naka is a very intimate 28 course seasonal modern kaiseki that serves a combination of both fresh sashimi and warm courses to satiate your palate (heavier on the warm dishes). Seasonal ingredients from Japan and California are used to curate the finest delicacies. Therefore you're likely to try various specials with the changing seasons. I loved the Zensai which presented 7 small palate warming appetizer bites. Comes in a cute bento box like format. The creamy potato puree and tempura bites were my favorites. For the main course, I absolutely loved the Uni and Dungeness crab....so exceptional. Served in an actual Uni shell and filled with warm Dungeness crab meat and broth, egg white soufflé, and topped with a whole Uni. This should be their top dish. Another phenomenal course was the Rockfish. The fish complimented very well with the snap peas and kelp which brought out the flavor of the rockfish. Perfect!!! Shiizakana is their signature dish which made its debut on chef's table and served year round. An abalone truffle pasta. This was good but for me personally wasn't a highlight. Overall a good experience. At dinners end, chef Niki Nakayama came out personally to share our experiences. We got to meet the artist that curated this amazing dinner. Thank you Chef! Loved the experience. Get on that wait list ASAP!

The fast that my spicy mayo and ponzu was full when I left goes to show how insanely well they prepared the food sauce wise. Overall great place I will be back to try more things for sure. Was sat immediately and served water. They have a pretty extensive menu of most things you'd find at a sushi cut roll spot. We ended up ordering the toro garlic toast, veggie tempura, ginza roll, and several pieces of nigiri sushi. The toro garlic toast was pretty good - sort of like a spicy tuna crispy rice situation ... but a little fattier and more garlicky than crispy. The ginza roll was pretty good too - a lot of fish in the roll and wasn't overwhelming with too much sauce. The tempura was good too- not super oily and all your typical veg involved. The nigiri sushi were pretty well prepared. The size was pretty good for the price - and each were accompanied by a small garnish on top or a little bit of sauce brushed on. All in all - I wouldn't say it's a date night place, but is a good easy eats sushi spot for rolls and nigiri for the price. Would recommend!
