Now let's just keep it real, I was already getting full from nibbling on other things in the same plaza, but as soon as a piece of that chicken touched my mouth from this place, it was OVER!!! It wasn't too salty, it wasn't dry, they weren't trying to over season the plate due to a lack of cooking skills, the portions were generous, and they definitely didn't hold back for the seasoning on the fries. I could see the flakes and the color of their marinade on the fries to the point where I have to get an additional order of it à la carte. The place was well lit and clean, and I enjoyed the most mostly all white aesthetic. I would describe the employee who served me as a gentleman. Someone who cared about the person he was talking to and wanted them to have a good experience. We even shared a few sentiments in our native tongue. We placed our order for pickup and showed up right when the order was due and our food was waiting for us! The place itself is very casual and there are 5-6 tables for dine in. The service is the best thing about this place and I would give it a 5/5. The gentleman working at the register offered sauces and drinks and was very kind and hospitable. The sandwiches themselves though were a little disappointing. We got mild and medium and they were not very crispy nor were the fries. The bun was exceedingly average and I would give it a 3/5. Maybe I came on an off day but the chicken wasn't seasoned well nor crispy. The fries also needed some extra time in the fryer. First, they are really good about customizing---we both asked for no salt on the fries and the kluckin sauce on the side which they did without skimping! I ordered the spiciest level on my chicken (kluckin fire) because I absolutely love spicy food but OMG did my mouth burn in the best possible way----it is REALLY spicy for those that are trying to gauge the spice levels. The mac and cheese wasn't the most amazing mac and cheese I've ever had but I'd say it was worth the price and I enjoyed how buttery it was. The people working there at Kluckin are nice. They're friendly and helpful and got a good tip. The food their bosses are having them serve.............. not so great. The chicken was somehow both dry and moist at the same time. Not sure how that's possible and then the breading, which wasn't crispy, all separated from the chicken (I ate it there so it wasn't steamed off from a car ride). Chicken coating was mostly flavorless too. The fries though. That was a masterpiece. Raw on the inside and well done on the outside. Cole slaw was whatever. Not bad. Nothing to write home about. I thought I'd try it out and I hate to say it, but I'll just keep going to the other chicken place next door where the chicken is crispy and delicious, the fries are cooked perfectly, and next door uses their air conditioner. It was hotter inside of Kluckin than it was outside and we are in the summertime. Sorry guys, I really wanted to like the food here. Keep up the amazing customer service though.
