Can't get enough of this food truck. I remember when they first opened over a decade ago and I was so stoked to go every time they were nearby! My friends at the time would rave about it and I can see why. My absolute go to no matter what is the Blackjack Quesadilla with extra sauce on the side. The sauce for that is AMAZING. It has that nice citrus flavor. Super delicious and they always load up the quesadilla with a ton of meat. I used to get the spicy pork burrito but it's always too much for me. My bf got it and thought it was way better than their Pac-Man burger! We came by again tonight after not having it for a few months and this one is actually one of their normal spots in NoHo along Magnolia in front of the park. The worker tonight was super nice. The food came out super quick so we weren't freezing out! Nowhere to sit but we planned to take it home anyway (which was awful because it was right around rush hour). Luckily there's a ton of open space along Magnolia so you can park right in front or behind the truck. Definitely recommend trying this food truck if you're looking for a good Korean Mexican fusion. Can't go wrong with kbbq tacos and burritos!! IG: @ammysalamii

Came here on a late late tuesday night and it hit every craving I had. The Verde truck stops right outside the USC Village every Tuesday from 10-11 pm and I highly recommend! I ordered the sliders (8$) and the short rib taco (3$) and they were delicious. Both are decently spicy and topped with the same type of kimchi slaw (?). The short rib taco is a crowd favorite so I would definitely recommend trying it. The food is a little messy to eat but any good taco is like that. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

The Kogi BBQ truck has been a go-to of mine in LA since I moved here 12 years ago. Back then, I used to chase it all over town and would wait on a giant line to get my Kogi faves. While the foot truck mania has calmed down in recent years, Kogi is still a crowd pleaser. Over the years, I've had pretty much everything on the menu and trust me when I say it's all good. I love the spicy pork and chicken tacos, the Kogi Dog, the Kogi Kimchi Quesadilla, and the Kogi Sliders. The Sriracha Bar is a great dessert, too!

I finally got a chance to try the legendary Kogi truck this last weekend at the Dodger's Stadium, and it was pretty great. Kogi is a korean fusion taco truck, the type of thing you really would only find in LA. Starting about 15 years ago, Kogi has spread across greater LA and has gone through the whole hype life cycle. Few trucks, or any restaurants, have had the impact Kogi has. The food is solid. I was only able to try the short rib tacos at the event I was at, but they were real winners, with the delicious classic Kogi sauce and awesome short rib. I still would like to try the tofu taco at some point. Kogi trucks move all over LA in a set schedule, so odds are good there is one near you at one point or another. Service was pretty fast. At the very least, its worth trying to see if you enjoy it - I sure did.

I chased the truck and got a quesadilla and tacos. With Kogi's brick and mortar now closed, the food truck is your only option to get the goods. I've had the truck a few times now and just keep coming back to the Kimchi Quesadilla. It has a generous amount of kimchi on it but it balances well with the cheese. Just the right amount of spice. You'll usually wait a bit for your food, but it's made to order so it's to be expected. They have FOUR trucks now so you can surely find them out and about. Check out their website to see where they'll be stationed on a particular day. Weekdays they look to only operate at night, whereas weekends they're also open for lunch.

I am a huge fan of Korean food and especially Chef Roy Choi. I had a short visit to LA and searched for the Kogi truck just try try it and I was NOT disappointed! I had the Spicy Pork Taco and the Short Rib Taco. I could not decide which i liked better, I loved them both. So much more I would like to try. Definitely want to come back.

Wow, what a great find in Westwood Village, UCLA. This truck is at different locations each day of the week. Go to their website to find out where they will be. My first time trying Kogi per recommendation from a friend. I love the idea of Korean-Mexican food fusion. I got their popular, "must try," short rib & spicy pork tacos + Chocolate Tres Leche cake. Short Rib Taco (5/5): Sooo YUMMM!!! The short rib flavor is bold and has a mouth-watering aroma from a block away. instead of being paired with cilantro and salsa as traditional tacos are, it's paired with lettuce with a hint of Kimchi dressing to it. It's a perfect combo. Spicy Pork (5/5): Also delicious in its porky way. Again, great flavoring. They pack each taco and are not skimpy with their meats. Chocolate Tres Leche Cake (0.5/5): This was a huge disappointment. It's not a tres leche cake at all. It's in this dainty aluminum tin foil cup and was not soaked in tres leche at all, nor was it chocolatey. The best way I could describe this is it's like oreo crumble without the strong oreo flavor (more like grainy/Sandy texture that's black + candied peanut butter on top and a rice pudding type of mixture in the center of the cake. It's weird at best and definitely not worth the $4. I'm going to be nice and not take 1 star away for this as I know this is not their specialty. Excited to come back again to try their other menu items like burritos and quesadilla.

Such a new innovative blend of flavors and I think it's so cool to see Korean and Mexican fusion. The meat was tough and salty however, and I was disappointed from that. I had heard about Kogi BBQ truck for so long but never tried it, and was excited to try the kogi tacos. The prices were a tad expensive for what it is, and the wait time was around 10 minutes for each taco.

Created in 2008 by celebrity chef and lifelong Angelino, Roy Choi, the Kogi trunk has become a Los Angeles food stable and a personal favorite of mine. The food you will enjoy at Kogi is Korean-Mexican fusion and authentically LA. Here are some of my favorite dishes: -The Kogi Burrito (protein, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cheese, shredded greens, onions, cilantro, and a Korean chili-soy sauce): The food truck is most well-known for their short rib as the protein, which is incredibly delicious and flavorful, but my favorite burrito is actually the tofu burrito (vegetarian friendly). If you leave the tofu burrito over-night, it is even better, as the tofu will really soak in all the flavor of the Korean-chill sauce. :-) -Kimchi Quesadilla (quesadilla with cheese, kimchi, and Kogi's salsa roja): I don't think there is a more perfect quesadilla on the planet. The sauce is perfectly spicy while also loaded with flavor. The kimchi gives the quesadilla some texture and really balances well with the cheese. -Blue Moon Mulita (cheese, grilled onions, chicken with Kogi's Salsa Azul): Not only is the mulita mind-blowingly delicious, but you can also get one for, like, $4. The mulita is fried and crunchy, sandwiching the chicken with melted cheese and topped with this out-of-this-world purple sauce they call Salsa Azul that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. With regard to service, the staff are friendly and provide quick service. Right now, the truck is parked on Overland near Palms. But be mindful, there is only street parking and it's limited. Due to COVID, people aren't allowed to sit and must take their food-to-go.

Galbi short ribs burrito worth it!!

Short Rib Burrito is the best Korean Mexican fusion I've had in a while. My first bite made me feel some type of way. The meat was soft and tender. The flavors were on point and you get the best of both worlds for sure. You get the sweet and savory from the meat, tang from the kimchi, the kick from the rice and the light contrast from the veggies. If you're looking to treat yourself to a heavy meal on the go, this is the place to go. I catch Kogi bbq truck in Venice on the first of every month on abbot kinney blvd!

Loving the tofu option and seriously it is delicious. Even if you don't like tofu. Such fun. And the kimchi is amazing.

I never thought i would ever dislike a dish with too much meat, but this place completely overloaded on the pork, with little tomatoes and onions. Cheese was sufficient, but the nachos probably would have been better with more ingredients. Also, the salsa was quite nonexistent (or maybe the pork covered all the tasted). The fries were mostly edible but the tenders swept me down memory lane to elementary school lunchtime. McDonalds can serve real meat chicken for pennies, yet this place can get away with selling six pieces of fluffy, mystery meat nuggets masquerading as tenders for $10?!? They even managed to burn the hell out of whatever form of protein/cardboard they are currently hawking out of the back of this truck. Post script - a coworker ordered the nachos and was equally unimpressed as the chicken was covered in the unmistakable smell of sea food. Nice.
