Came with my girlfriend's meetup group, she was cross hosting with another group so there were about 20 of us seated at 2 different but adjacent tables. I always enjoy eating at hibachi places because it's like getting a show along with dinner. Food was tasty and plentiful. Prices are in line with other hibachi steak restaurants. We love places like this in our area, but this one is definitely our favorite! Staff is quick, friendly, and the portions are great. I always have plenty of food while we are there and enough to take home for leftovers the next day. The plum wine they offer is also amazing. It gets busy fast so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation and some cooks are more interactive / conversational than others but all experiences have been positive. We come multiple times a year, typically with family for birthday dinner celebrations. They also do a little something special for birthdays so that's a nice touch. The soup was like watered down beef broth; the rice was not cooked all the way, only added onions, 1 egg for 6 servings of rice, maybe 1/4-1/2 cup of veggies (again for 6 servings); they only served onions and zucchini for veggies, no carrots (in anything). I used to love Hibachi Steakhouse -- prior to Covid 2020. I went there to celebrate my wife's B-day and found all of our food to be BLAND and BORING, Oh, it was all fresh -- but tasteless. Our teppan chief had 19 years experience, but didn't talk to anyone at our station. He also, nor did the other chiefs around us, have any fun or dazzle anyone with their cutlery skills. And when it came time for the staff to sing Happy Birthday, they did a great job, but they came with a small metal plate with a small tea light lit in the middle and melted wax all round the plate. Not very pleasant to look at, and there was no desert. Bottom Line: It looks and feels like the owners and managers have lost their will to serve people. My negatives are that there were many areas of the entrance that were dusty and grimy. There was no music because the speaker is broken so when we walked in it seemed awkward and quiet. Hibachi Steakhouse has turned into our favorite place to go whenever we're craving hibachi. My boyfriend has gotten me back into enjoying hibachi steakhouses. His favorite growing up was a pretty well known place that tends to have long wait times and long shows before you even get your food, which in my opinion tastes pretty mediocre. I was skeptical about trying this place out, but I'm a fan! Reservations are not that difficult to get on week nights. Our party was able to make reservations the day of, which is shocking considering how small the place is. We've also visited without making reservations (also on a week night) and we were seated right away. A huge plus! Dishes are reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food you get: soup, salad, veggies, fried rice, your selected protein/combo, bean sprouts. Everything is cooked in front of you aside from the soup and salad. The mushroom soup has great flavor. It's the perfect portion size to start your meal off and it's also served pretty warm (I think it could be served hotter). Their salad with their ginger dressing is delicious. It's unfortunate that my last experience had almost frozen-like pieces of salad. For protein, I highly recommend their steak as it's SUPER tender. I've paired their steak with either their calamari (tender & delicious!) or their scallops (fresh & perfectly cooked). As far as them cooking in front of you, I'm a huge fan of how they don't put on a show to drag out your meal. There's no egg shell/hat tricks, no spatula tossing tricks and no corny jokes. They confirm your order, confirm how you like your meats cooked, cook your food in front of you and they clean up. Service is extremely friendly and quick. Everything from the salad dressing to the soup to the rice to the veggies and meat are top notch and prepared well. I was told that I was able to bring my own with me and that they would be able to cook my food separately in the back. We went for an early Easter dinner. I had heard of this place and had been anxious to check it out. Service was good but the food was so-so. I had the combo #4, filet mignon with scallops and prawns. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The prawns were pretty decent but the scallops were a bit undercooked. And all were lacking in flavor. It was just bland. Even the fried rice was bland. The restaurant itself could've used a good cleaning. Came here the other day for dinner. We made a 5:30pm reservation for 3. It took approx 10mins to be seated. There were 7 seats to the table and looking around, I noticed a total of 9 separate cooking and eating stations. The server was pretty fast in getting drink orders. Drinks came and we ordered our dinners. We each ordered a different combo but they all came w/hibachi steak. We upgraded $8 a piece for the filet. Then the waiting happened. We got soup and salad pretty quickly. I saw 9 full stations but only 5 chefs. The chefs would go to a different station after finishing at one. From the time we ordered to the time the chef actually came to our station, it was approx 35mins. The chef started to cook and the vent system is terrible. The steam from the grill went everywhere except into the vent. The chef was all business, hardly any talking, in-n-out. The food was good w/a healthy portion of everything. Definitely more than Benihana. However, the taste of everything from the filet to the shrimp to the scallops was very bland. Even w/the different sauces provided, the food need more salt. The best part of the experience was the service. Our server was fast and checked-in several times. May be a repeat visit. read more
