I came here in the middle of the day for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised that and Im Hill had a really good quality cream food. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and seated right away and throughout my meal I was always followed up and checked on to make sure I was being accommodated for serviced. It's a very small Mom pop shop that can probably hold no more than 30 people comfortably. I ordered the vegetable soon tofu soup along with the Chicken Jikhwa Vegetable soon tofu soup - 5/5 came up perfectly hot and maintain its heat from the cable that I was in. It complemented with the Bonchon so well I kept going back for more. You can change the level of spice. I made mine spicy, and it was perfect for my pallet not too salty, which is accommodating to my pallet as well. Chicken Jikhwa - 4/5 was more on the sweeter side due to the caramelized onion, but overall the flavor was on plate. I really like how it was packed with flavor and with the tofu soup, it balanced each other very well since it's more overpowering with flavor than the tofu soup. The only thing I wish it was served on is a cast-iron plate or something to keep the meat, hot or warm longer lasting. We ordered Jinro is Back, they brought out 3 bottles until the could get the right soju . Marinated dumplings were good, 6 pieces nice flavor. Went with the bulgogi pancake, probably the most underwhelming dish. They forgot our dipping sauce with it, but was very dry , a ton of vegetables and maybe 2-3 pieces of meat . Tried Masito Korean House Tofu for the first time this past Sunday around noon, and I was surprised to see only one other table occupied--especially during what should be peak lunch hours. That was my first hint that the place is still new and getting their footing. We were quickly greet by a very cheerful and friendly hostess/server. She was very cool so positive energy so made the time enjoyable. One we placed our orders, the banchan (side dishes) were quickly delivered and sadly just four small items but refillable. Even the most modest mom-and-pop Korean spots I've been to typically serve a more generous variety (like 5-7). Banchan is such a big part of the Korean dining experience, so this felt like a letdown but hey onward to main course. I ordered the seafood tofu soup, which is usually my go-to, but unfortunately the broth lacked flavor. It felt like it was missing that depth, spicy satisfying taste. To make matters worse, the shrimp in the soup were tiny baby shrimp--not exactly what you'd expect or hope for in a seafood tofu stew. There were generous amounts of tofu. Now on the BRIGHT side, the kimchi fried rice with spam is delicious!! The fried tofu bimbimpo was awesome too with the sauce. Service was polite and the space is clean, but overall the tofu soup felt can improve. There's potential here, so will come back end of year to try something else. One other Korean restaurant in Yorba Linda and was so excited to try it. It's a little similar to BCD but home style. The food was good, but with some pros and cons. The soodubu was flavorful. The bibimbap was kind of oily and the black bean noodles were just ramen noodles, not jajangmyeon. The galbi was pretty little for quantity to price. The guys serving us were pretty nice though! Such a delicious Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills. I've eaten here several times now - the food and service are consistently wonderful every time. There's just something so comforting about this restaurant. I don't know if it's because the staff is so welcoming, or if it's because it's smaller and cozier than other Korean restaurants, but I keep coming back! My go to order is the original beef tofu soup. The BBQ beef short ribs are also delicious. The entree combos are a good size to share. Prices for the combos vary depending on if it's lunch or dinner & they also have a lunch special menu. Banchan options are a bit limited, but I don't mind it because they serve my favorites. They close for a short period during the day, so I would recommend double checking the time before heading over. read more

This time we got the Galbi+ Pork Tofu soup combo and the Japchae. - Galbi 5/5: juicy, tender, and flavorful - Pork Tofu Soup: soup had a lighter vegetable flavor. I'm averaging the rating of the two times I've been here. Maybe it was an off chance, but if you come here I'd recommend coming during lunch. We came on two separate occasions (second time was much better than first experience). 1st time (2 stars): We came on Wednesday for dinner at 7pm. Upon coming in they had a crying toddler in the kitchen and were severely understaffed. We felt bad about this as it seems like the lady waiting tables was also doing all the take out orders while also carrying and calming the screaming toddler. We waited around hoping for things to calm down. All the empty tables were still dirty and customers seemed annoyed at the wait. We sat for 35 minutes with no one coming by to give us water or taking our order. Neither of the three tables around us received any attention either as it seemed that they were working on a to go order. I did feel empathy as they seemed very stressed but we ended up leaving as it seemed like it would be another hour or two until we would've gotten our food with how slow things were going. 2nd time (4 stars): we decided to come back and give this place another chance, but decided to come during lunch time to avoid the craziness. It was a much different experience, it was a different waiter who was incredibly attentive and good came out quickly. The bbq short ribs were to die for and had the perfect amount of salty and sweet flavor. The food was pretty good, but the presentation wasn't great for a sit down restaurant, hence the four stars. Serving some of our dishes on actual plates vs others like kimchi fried rice served in a to-go bowl felt strange to me. Masito just opened up less than a year ago and I was finally able to try it! It's a family-owned business opened by two sisters featuring delicious Korean staples, including soondubu, galbi, seafood pancake, and other dishes! All the banchan are made in-house, and they also have lunch specials which make everything even more affordable than they already are. I was able to try the galbi, seafood pancake, soondubu, egg-mari, tteokbokki with dumpling, japchae, bulgogi bibimbap, and marinated pork. Everything was super flavorful and tasted fresh, all while the portion sizes are giant. The all-stars of the show were definitely the galbi, seafood pancake, and the bulgogi bibimbap! The galbi is tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. Probably one of the best I've had. The seafood pancake is crispy and less doughy than other places which I enjoyed. A new addition to the decore is a wall dedicated to drawings made by the kids that come to the restaurnat with their families. The kimchi wasn't fermented to the optimal condition. Soon tofu rice was pretty hard and not fresh. Our server, whose name is Amber (at least that was the name on the receipt) was fantastic! She took the time to help us understand each of the lunch specials we asked about. The prices are a little steeper but honestly it's the price you pay for convenience and not having to drive out to GG / Rowland / Irvine. The inside is relatively small, but restaurant is clean and food is delicious. Masito for the win! Living in Anaheim Hills limits my ethnic food options by infinity so I'm extra grateful for Masito and really hope it's here to stay. Swung by post-workout on Thursday evening and thankfully there was no wait. We were seated immediately, server took our order pretty quickly, and food was brought out not too long after. The panchan proved to be delicious as we finished a first round before our food was brought out. I ordered the kimchi soondubu ($15.99) and it was served piping out and ready for a cracked egg. It delivered on its duty: flavorful and comforting (it was a cold evening). The service was quick and efficient. I appreciated the fact that a woman (I presume is the owner) came by and interacted with every table + guest, asked how the experience was, and was extremely friendly. This was my first time visiting Masito. The restaurant looked interesting since it's close to a hotel my parents and I are staying in. The lunch deals looked especially appealing since I've been craving tteokbokki and bibimbap for a while. Though we ordered takeout, the server was very kind, taking the time to ask how we're doing and making small talk. We ordered a beef bowl combo and one tteokbokki lunch special; we waited around 10 minutes before receiving our food in a sturdy bag. I was impressed by the packaging-The tteokbokki and soup were wrapped in separate plastic bags, and the divided container for the rice bowl with lettuce and radish was a nice touch. The food itself was not bad. I personally felt the tteokbokki was sweeter than I'd like, though its portion size as a lunch special is pretty reasonable. The side dishes were standard, a nice presentation with good taste. The soup for the beef bowl combo was larger than I expected, and is very flavorful. The beef bowl itself has good proportions of beef, rice, and side toppings. Overall, it's a good experience for a casual meal and friendly service. When I first moved to Anaheim Hills area, there were no good Korean food places close by--I would need to drive a bit further away just to get that homey-Korean feel and taste. So imagine my excitement when Masito opened up! Kate is one of my favorite restaurant owners! She and her sister brought over her father's tofu soup (soon dubu) famous recipe from Korea and it's so good. Kate always makes sure to warmly greet us when she's in the restaurant, too. If you want to support a family-owned Korean restaurant, come check this place out. It's so obvious that Kate works really hard and has such a heart for her business. My husband and I usually each get their tofu soup and meat combo. It's enough for me to eat half and enjoy a second meal the next day! We also like their fried tofu appetizer with different dipping sauces and their variety of side dishes that rotate every time we go. North OC finally gets a taste of soondubu!! Masito specializes in soondubu (Korean tofu soup) & is very much like BCD Tofu or Kaju Tofu in Garden Grove/Irvine areas. They're located right next door to Lilypopp (aka best breakfast bagels in the area) and service was really friendly. My friend and I split a combo of the beef tofu soup & the spicy pork jikhwa and it was enough for the both of us. Service and ambiance were great--that's honestly the only reason this is 3 stars. We were REALLY EXCITED to try Masito, a Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills/Yorba Linda, back in April. Unfortunately, the excitement ended once the banchan and our meal arrived. The soon tofu was honestly the worst I've ever had--just a bland red pepper soup with no depth of flavor. The banchans just smeared in chunk of red pepper with lack of flavor.. don't get me wrong, I love red pepper and "I make my own kimchi" type of person.. but.. also need the right flavor of each dish.. Very disappointing, and we never went back after that. It's so Mat Up So Yo..... Opposite of Masito.. We just ate rice and picked on everything else since we were so hungry and left our soon tofu almost full behind.. The LA Galbi was my favorite but their seafood pancake and Tofu Soup was amazing too staff was also very friendly and welcoming! And I liked that they keep everything so clean!!
