First time having the baked salmon roll and it was delicious! I love coming here, the service is amazing as always. We also got 4 other house rolls that were so good!

Food and service was great, and inside was clean. Will be returning. There wasn't anything with the rolls me and my sister got. I don't remember which ones they were but were very good.

This establishment feels like a little hole in the wall within a small plaza. The crispy tuna was the best food item we received. The rolls were okay. The staff is polite, but a bit inattentive and we had to follow up more than once on a few requests.

Cozy little spot with really good sushi. Everything tasted fresh, the vibe was relaxed, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Easy place to enjoy a nice sushi meal without feeling rushed. Would definitely come back.

I went first by myself and then again with my husband, and the sushi wasn't as good the second time, but it was still excellent. There was one waitress who was sweet despite handling the whole restaurant, and music at an appropriate level. It's in my new neighborhood and has a good chance of becoming my go-to place.

1st time here and was excited. Hard to find a place with my favorite lemon salmon sushi. (Lemon roll does have a sauce on it, I opted for no sauce) prices are not bad. Inside is very calm and clean. Lady that took my order was very nice, she did not rush me. I had requested no avocado due to allergy and cucumber as substitute. They followed requests, most sushi places always either put avocado and I need them to take it back or they just wipe off the avocado and serve me. So I'm happy they follow dietary restrictions. I waited maybe 10 minutes for my to go order. I ordered lemon roll and King tiger roll for only $36 and that's with tip. Food was delicious and will be returning.

Oh baby roll is excellent "no rice" Roll. Crab meat, spicy tuna, & avocado wrapped in salmon. Strong buy recommend

OK sushi for the area, it's more like 3.5 but I rounded down only bc it didn't particularly stood out so giving it 4 stars might be a little high. Service was nice! The spicy tuna had a particularly red color which I felt like was too red to be natural. Ramen tasted better tree r than I expected typical ramen to taste at sushi joints.

Once the whole party was seated & our order was taken, we received our delicious ginger salad and miso soup quickly. When our chef arrived he was ready to put on a show! He was so fun, engaging and very genuine. All of the food was amazing. I got the filet mignon steak w/ fried rice and my husband gets the sumo steak. The filet mignon is definitely worth it but if you prefer more meat, the sumo steak is the way to go. The drinks are affordable and compared to other teppanyaki places, the food is affordable and absolutely worth it. They also offer a happy hour in the dining room only - does not include the teppanyaki grill area. Truly one of our favorite places!!

3.5/5 Stars - Nice Experience, But Some Service and Timing Issues…read more We visited Tabi-Ji Teppanyaki for my husband's birthday and had an overall decent experience, though there were a few things that would make us think twice before returning. We chose the dining room seating rather than the teppanyaki tables. The staff did offer us the teppanyaki experience, but since we don't eat red meat or chicken from certain places and weren't sure how the food preparation process worked with mixed ingredients, we opted for a regular table instead. One downside was the seating arrangement. We were seated away from most of the other guests, and it often felt like the staff forgot we were there. Our original host/server was attentive and friendly, but once they were busy with other tasks, it became difficult to get assistance. It was also not busy for a Tuesday evening. We found ourselves waiting for long periods or having to wave someone down, which wasn't ideal, especially for a birthday dinner. As for the food: * Crunchy Spicy Tuna Roll (4/5): Fresh, good quality fish, and a generous portion. A solid sushi roll. * Garlic Edamame (4/5): Flavorful and exactly what you'd expect from a good appetizer. * Lobster Duo with Miso Soup, Salad, and Fried Rice (3/5): Unfortunately, the lobster was quite chewy and seemed overcooked. The miso soup and fried rice were both enjoyable and helped make up for it. * Unagi Donburi (4/5): My husband's meal came with white rice, miso soup, salad, and fried rice. It was his first time trying eel, and he really enjoyed the soft texture and flavor. He said he'd definitely order it again. Our biggest disappointment was the timing of the food. The Unagi Donburi arrived significantly later than everything else. By the time it came out, we had already eaten most of the appetizers and other dishes and were pretty full. It's unfortunate because it seemed like a dish that would have been much better enjoyed fresh, but we ended up taking most of it home. Overall, the food ranged from good to very good, and being able to reserve through Resy and use our Amex dining benefit definitely helped offset the cost. However, considering the price point, we expected more attentive service and better pacing of the meal.

Our server wasn't very personable but also not rude or terrible. I felt a little rushed even with a small menu. Being that I had never been there before, I wasn't sure what to get so I pretty much just blurted out whatever. What we ordered: 1) Black deluxe chicken paitan with pork - the broth was so tasty, it was absolutely delicious. The pork slices were generous, however, it was DRY. 2) Pork chashu - for my kid. They loved the broth as well and also felt that the pork slices were dry. I wanted to give 4 out of 5 stars, but I am going to hand them a 3. I loved the tasty broth, but the pork was too dry. How could you mess that up as a ramen restaurant? The portions looked a little smaller than what I am used to paying for much less money. That photo of my black deluxe chicken paitan with pork is very deceiving. It looks like a lot, but it definitely wasn't. I usually can't finish my bowl of ramen in one sitting and take the other half home. I barely had any broth in there, and being that the broth was very good, I was disappointed to run out of it before I was even done with the noodles and meat. Would I return? Sure. I liked the food. It's not a place I would go out of my way to eat at, but if I was around the neighborhood and wanted ramen, I would dine there again.

Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and seated right away and throughout my meal I was always followed up and checked on to make sure I was being accommodated for serviced. It's a very small Mom pop shop that can probably hold no more than 30 people comfortably. I ordered the vegetable soon tofu soup along with the Chicken Jikhwa Vegetable soon tofu soup - 5/5 came up perfectly hot and maintain its heat from the cable that I was in. It complemented with the Bonchon so well I kept going back for more. You can change the level of spice. I made mine spicy, and it was perfect for my pallet not too salty, which is accommodating to my pallet as well. Chicken Jikhwa - 4/5 was more on the sweeter side due to the caramelized onion, but overall the flavor was on plate. I really like how it was packed with flavor and with the tofu soup, it balanced each other very well since it's more overpowering with flavor than the tofu soup. The only thing I wish it was served on is a cast-iron plate or something to keep the meat, hot or warm longer lasting. I just love eating the Bonchon along with this because it gave a pickled and acidic complement.
