Best customer service ever! My friend mentioned that I could get veggies instead of rice since I'm avoiding gluten. The girl ringing us up heard that and offered gluten free rice and veggies. Then I happened to order a sauce with gluten all distracted and they automatically put it on the side and gave me gluten free soy packets! What they didn't know is I have celiac and gluten destroys me, their thoughtfulness made up for my distracted ordering. Thanks for saving my allergies! read more

My significant other and I went here and I had the hibachi chicken and they had the hibachi shrimp. They said their food was very good, and mine was as well. The chicken was tender and flavourful and the yum yum sauce is to die for. The fried rice was good but it did have a few overdone pieces of rice, but not enough to detract from the dish. The restaurant is also very clean on the inside which is a huge step forward as the Dairy Queen that used to be in that building was a disgusting mess. It is a bit small and usually pretty crowded, but they managed to squeeze a good amount of tables in that small space. Overall this is a very good restaurant and we will be returning here hopefully many times in the future! read more

Fast hibachi? What? Indeed. I had the steak and fried rice. Added their special sushi roll that day. I have to admit, very surprised at he quality that came out of and old DQ building. Steak was tender and good quality. The fried rice reminded my of the hibachi full service place we love. It was great. Sushi roll was great as well, I mean, it's not a super creative sushi roll bar, but the basics, sticky rice, had the right amount of ginger in it. Yum. read more

This is a great place to eat fresh food in Midlothian. I've always enjoyed my meals here, and when the weather is nice, it's great to sit on their patio with a beer and sushi. Their caterpillar roll is my favorite! I haven't used their drive thru, but I have ordered through their app as well as eaten in the restaurant. The service is always friendly, but can be a little slow at times. It's probably because of the volume - the drive thru can get busy! But I don't mind waiting because the food is always fresh and tastes great. Finally, the value for what you pay is great for a sushi restaurant. They're not dirt cheap, but you don't want cheap sushi anyway! But compared to some of the other restaurants in the area, it's a good deal. read more

So...this is my go-to sushi spot. Who would have thought I would the perfect sushi spot in Midlo, TX! The Samurai roll and the Rainbow roll are my favs and their fried rice is excellent as well. Whenever I'm craving sushi, this is where you'll find me. You can call in & pick up your order, order in the drive through or dine in. Their soda machine is THE best...my kiddos love mixing all the flavors. It's a popular spot so sometimes you'll have to wait but it's totally worth it. Talk about a hidden gem! read more

Ok folks. Round two and they stepped their game up since last time I was here. I had the steak hibachi and my son had teriyaki chicken. Both of our meals were cooked perfectly. The staff was still great. All young teenager types minus the cook and a sushi roller however they seemed to like their job and had smiles the whole time we were eating in. It was pleasant. I have eaten Japanese food at over 20 restaurants in Hawaii and this is the worst I have ever eaten. The steak and chicken plate was bland, tasteless not to mention WAY over priced for what you get. If I was handed this plate with no idea where it came from, I would guess that it was made by someone who doesn't know how to cook or use TRUE Japanese spices and techniques. Fresh sushi and exquisite entrees. We did the take away option and even though the wait time was pretty high for a Monday evening, but the wait was worth it, the presentation wasn't much. This is the best place to eat in the entire city. My family decided to try it out, despite the external appearance of the restaurant. It used to be an old Dairy Queen, and the outside is a little offputting the first time you go there. Just overlook the outward appearance and head inside. I've eaten here twice now, and both times the food and service have been top notch. We have tried several of their rolls, and none have disappointed. Their fried rice keeps the kids happy, and they don't skimp on the meats in it, either. The food has arrived quickly and in the correct order each time we've been. read more

Who would have thought you can get high quality sushi rolls and Asian cuisine in our small town? I'll admit we were hesitant to try a place housed in an old Dairy Queen, but dang son...this place has become our favorite joint in town. My wife and I routinely get the Lion King roll, Sumo Roll, Crab Dynamite roll, and the Cowboy roll. I also enjoy their fried rice dishes on the regular. I can get one order of fried rice, and there is so much, you can eat it for two meals. We have even hooked our family on this place. Highly recommend to the casual Midlothianite and any visitor passing through. Service is always top notch. I love this place! My favorite things to get are the chicken teriyaki rice bowl and the shrimp tempura roll. They have really good food and are actually pretty fast to give you your food. It's decently sized but there are seats outside. It's chilly inside so be prepared for that. They have lots of options for sushi; they also have different rice bowls. It's a little limited on the menu, basically just sushi and rice bowls with various meats. But the food is super good, I totally recommend it! read more

Fantastic service, fresh tasting food in generous portions, a surprisingly large menu (with the exception of only one desert choice), beer and wine, though we had iced tea, free for being first-timers:-), plenty of tables inside and outside: a clean, roomy, and shaded patio. Minutes from the highway, with adequate parking and one nicely appointed ladies room. I enjoyed lunch here so much I'm disappointed that it is so far from my home. My dining companion today has strict dietary needs and was thrilled(!) to have so many gluten free & vegetarian options.
