I had heard that this cleaners also preserves wedding dresses. My wife's dress had never been done (we were married over 25 years ago!), so I decided to have the preservation done as a surprise anniversary gift. The dress had yellowed quite a bit, and I was dismayed to see that it had been stained with wine and was quite dirty along the bottom hem. When I got the dress back - beautifully packed into a display box - I was amazed at the results. The dress was sparkling white and the stains were gone. The price was also very reasonable. I've been a customer for about 6 years. This place is the trifecta of awesome: reasonably priced, friendly, and they seriously do magic on your clothes. I am very particular about clothing fit and drape. I've had pants hemmed, dresses altered, and of course dry cleaned. Never once have I been disappointed. Kim also made my shear wedding blouse I wore over my dress. So beautiful. Service is fast and efficient. I simply bring in shoes with my pants, measurements are taken, and I am asked how quickly I need them. The customer service is friendly and personable. One of my friends told me about this place to get my stuff altered. Kim is the lady that works tirelessly on her sewing machine all day. They seem busy because she is always on her machine whenever I stop by that 95th/Roberts intersection by Speedway. She is really delightful and easy to deal with. Everything comes out clean. They have this adorable little dog who is blind. I think her sons work in the mornings, so go later in the day if you need something from Mrs. Kim, especially sewing. read more

I brought in a high end two piece vintage satin robe/ nightgown. The gown had a nasty scuff mark at the bottom. I told the lady I need one day service. She explained how they usually take three days to work on the stains. I said just do what you can and if it doesn't come out, no biggie. $21 bucks, one day service, the set looked beautiful and the stain was gone. This has become my new place for dry cleaning! Wonderful business! I had my wedding dress cleaned a year after my outdoor wedding. The bottom was covered in dirt but it came back pristine! After reading all the reviews on yelp for wedding dress cleaning, I headed to the Hickory Hills Cleaners. The woman who owns the cleaners is very friendly and polite. My dress was dirty from outdoor pictures and outdoor ceremony and they cleaned and pressed it like new. She even pressed my veil and didn't charge me extra. I would recommend this dry cleaner to anyone. Amazing Work. read more

Been going there for years. They are the best. Not the cheapest but, do the job right. Only had one problem there with the old owners and they took care of it. I moved to Burr Ridge and tried a new dry cleaners and they have already lost a pair of expensive dress pants and I ended up with somebody's shirt! DISHONEST!!!!! I will now be using a new dry cleaners. I have taken my dry cleaning here for many years, and just brought my daughter's prom dress in to have straps put on it. I brought in material that I had bought and the owner put the straps on. However, about half of the material was remaining (about $25 in value), and my daughter and I realized as soon as we got home that we had left the material at the dry cleaners. I figured that I could get the material the next time I went in, because the owner had seemed reputable over the years. However, when I went back in, the owner was very unfriendly, not even saying hello to me, and abruptly asking for my phone number to get my order. I am sure she acted this way because she knew she kept my beautiful material, probably using it on another project. I asked her to adjust my bill for the material that she kept. I didn't ask for a specific adjustment amount, just some amount of compensation because I am 100% sure that someone in that store took my material. The store owner refused to adjust my bill. I paid in full, knowing that I had been ripped off at least $25. I will be bringing my dry cleaners elsewhere from now on. read more
