My wife settled on a BLT turkey sandwich which was cold, the side baked potato wouldn't even melt butter. The only bright side was my chili was the right temperature though I would say the bowl was a smaller serving size than expected. The place is pretty clean and not too packed so you get some good peace while enjoying your food and games that are being aired. The service is timely and our server is social-able and attentive. The food is delectable, its not overly seasoned nor is it undercooked. The portions are decent for the prices as well. My only concern is the slight wait time. As mentioned it wasn't packed so having a wait time when you can visible see all the empty tables make you wonder why you had to wait. read more

Worse experience ever! When the restaurant was suggested, I was excited to get ribs not something I order often, but they were out along with so many other things on the menu. It took 30 minutes to get drinks from the bar because the computer system wasn't working. Our waitress cried because she felt bad about repeatedly having to tell us what we ordered was no longer available. When our food finally came it was not up to par. The manager was cooking and although we requested to speak with him multiple times, he never came to our table. One of the other servers came to our table to assess what was wrong and said he'd be back and we never saw him again. So disappointing, I remember when I loved the food there, but I will not be back. I placed an order through Uber Eats and waited over an hour, only to learn that the order had not been prepared at all. I was then told that only ONE item was unavailable, yet no one informed me or the Uber driver ahead of time, and no part of the order was started. When the driver arrived, the restaurant encouraged me to cancel the order in the app, which they should have done themselves the moment they knew they could not fully fulfill the order. Instead, the delay resulted in a complete waste of time for both the customer and the driver. To make matters worse, the host refused to provide the manager's name, the manager refused to speak with me directly, and the driver was treated rudely and dismissed. This reflects poor communication, lack of accountability, and unacceptable customer service. I will not be ordering from this location again. read more

On a positive note: service is GREAT. Fried pickles were really good. Whoever builds the nachos takes their time and makes sure that everything is evenly distributed. Very honest review on visiting this establishment today. Upon entering there was a smell of mildew that was coming from the open bathroom doors. Both men's and women's bathrooms were physically dirty and there were roaches in the women's bathroom. We left immediately and will not returning. Really disappointing experience. We showed up with a party of 15 and they refused to accommodate us--even though we were completely willing to split into smaller groups at different tables to make it easier. The hostess told us no server was willing to serve us, which is honestly something I've never heard at a restaurant. What makes it worse: they weren't even busy. The restaurant wasn't especially full, there were plenty of empty tables, but way more people waiting. We were told they were experiencing a staffing shortage. Understandable. Everybody needs grace. So we waited and were seated quicker than anticipated. I wanted the rib sampler but because they didn't have the rib tips, that whole entrée wasn't being offered. (Sad face) My father in law always orders the smokehouse grilled chicken platter and did so again today. He was brought out a sandwich. Very displeased he asked for a menu to show what he ordered. A manager let us know they don't serve that anymore (BUT it was just brought out in a sandwich) but our waiter was VERY accommodating and did his best to get Paw Paw something he'd like. It's SOOOOOO cold in here, your food doesn't stand much of a chance of staying hot/warm. I was about to conclude my review with how good the hot bag of donuts were.... It had been a little while since my last visit, which was somewhat disappointing, both in service and ambience. I visited for dinner that time, and ordered the "European" ribs since they were on sale at a great price. They don't compare very favorably with the "Signature" ribs, proving that you get what you pay for. I snagged a discount deal through InKind, with gift cards purchased at Costco, so I thought I'd give them another chance, for lunch this time) and I'm glad I did. The place must be under new management, because it was spotlessly clean, the food was outstanding and the service (Evette) was attentive, friendly and efficient. The full rack of Signature ribs was meaty, perfectly seasoned and cooked, with excellent fresh steamed broccoli and a loaded baked potato that had been freshly prepared and generously topped. All that to say, hats off to the current management and to Evette for making this a turnaround experience. Keep up the great work. I'll be back. read more

I feel like we used to get more food than we do now. The last time I went, we all still left hungry the portions weren't that large or the food just wasn't that appetizing. When we walked in, I had a party of 7, and the restaurant was completely empty, but one of the servers said with a nasty attitude that she didn't want us. My husband and I just left Smokey Bones. It's a Wednesday night about 8:30 and the place was not crowded at all. First, we were seated at a DIRTY/STICKY table with a broken seat. When I informed the server he told me to pick where we wanted to sit. All of the tables had some type of sticky residue and I mentioned this to the server. I picked the cleanest booth and we placed our drink and food order. We ordered the Bone Fire. I ordered an unsweet tea and my husband a lemonade. The waiter brings our drinks but brings my husband a water instead of the lemonade that I repeated to him 3 times. Mind you, I have a headache and I'm all ready annoyed by the lack of clean tables in a virtually empty establishment. When the waiter comes back I told him that my husband ordered a lemonade and not a water. No apology. A few minutes later he brings my husband's lemonade. I noticed something black floating in his lemonade. Not sure what it was but that was it for me. I informed the server that the lemonade had something floating in it and we would be happy to pay for our drinks but we were leaving. I have also used Smokey Bones for catering multiple times at my job. I am very disappointed in The lack of cleanliness and quality that I experienced tonight. Sadly, the food is good - but the service is absolutely terrible. We weren't acknowledged for the first 10 to 15 minutes, then it took an act of Congress to order food and drinks. My brother and his girlfriend came to visit me. We got hungry while shopping. We arrived around 6:10pm on a Sunday evening and was told it was a 45min to 1 hr wait, even though there were several tables open... So we put our name down and they would call when a table was ready. That's a long wait, so we decided to go to couple stores real quick and came back at 7pm after the called and said the table was ready. I dropped 1 party off by the door to check in so I could park. When we went inside, they were already seated. The host gave us a general direction in where they were sat but didn't guide us there... The waiter had came by but stated that they would come back. Travis was waiter who came at 7:08pm to take drink order. It was a party of 5 and most of us got water to start off. When he brought the drinks back, he said he had to take an order for another table and would be back to take ours. One of the main reasons for coming here was to get the Rib Feast, which was a house rack of St. Louis ribs, 2 sides, garlic bread, and beer for $19.99. Travis came back around 7:18pm. I had some questions. I was told the ribs in the rib fest are between 2/3 rack and a full rack. The loaded fries include Bacon, cheese, tomato, and ranch on side. Baby back ribs have more meat on them than St. Louis ribs. With the rib fest, it comes with a beer, which they only had bud light available. You could get a regular fountain drink in place of the beer. 3 of us got the Rib fest, my son got grilled cheese and broccoli, and I have no idea what my brothers girlfriend got lol. We got the BBQ Crown Pleaser (Hickory smoked chicken wings with sweet BBO glaze, mini BBQ Mag Nachos, loaded fries and crispy fried pickles with buttermilk ranch) as an appetizer. He left the table around 7:23pm with our order. However, since he didn't write anything down, we were concerned if he was going to remember or not. He came back at 7:26pm to ask what drinks we wanted with the rib feast and to confirm our sides, which he got mine wrong. I'm glad he did ask though. At 7:34pm, he came back again to confirm our drink orders, lol. My sis in law got a lemonade, my brother got sweet tea, and I got a strawberry lemonade. I asked for the drink menu too. At 7:37pm, I received my strawberry lemonade and the drink menu. There wasn't enough strawberry in it for me. It tasted like regular lemonade with a hint of strawberry. I drank maybe half but I didn't finish it. At 7:38pm, Travis brought over side plates and extra napkins for the appetizer that was coming. The appetizer came at 7:42pm. My friend and brother enjoyed the fried pickles. The loaded Fries and nachos were warm. However, they tasted fine. The Wings were delicious. You get 4 of them. At 7:51pm, we received part of our food. I noticed my garlic bread was sitting on my ribs, meaning half of the bottom had bbq on it. I didn't necessarily mind but someone else may have. My brothers ribs were perfectly cooked with blackened areas. The ribs my friend and I had were not. My friend said his ribs were cold. We were going to ask for them to cook it longer but no one ever came back lol. When they did, we were ready to go. The next day, I put my ribs in the air fryer on 400 for 10 minutes and it was hot and delicious!!! 7:53pm, I ordered smooth bourbon blackberry lemonade after the rest of the table got their food. 15 minutes later at 8:08pm, I received the drink. It was good and I enjoyed it. I would recommend. Also at this time we asked for boxes. Shortly after receiving the boxes, Travis asked how the bill will be split and we told him. He was unaware of the kids eats free, even through there is signage outside the restaurant. I wanted him to split the appetizer but supposedly he couldn't. My brother decided to pay for it. He came back fairly quickly with the checks. However, we were waiting until about 8:25pm for someone to come back. Someone who's shirt said they were a trainer came over. She said Travis had asked to check us out and she didn't. Also... NOTHING was removed from table the entire time until about 8:30pm as we were getting the bill and paying for it, which was done by the trainer. Mind you, we had 3-4 plates from the appetizers, 5 plates from our meals, and 5 small places to to accompany the appetizers on the table. We ate our dinner with all those plates on the table... To recap: -11 minutes to receive my beverage -15 minutes to receive alcoholic drink -20 minutes to receive appetizer -30 minutes to receive entrees -After receiving food, no one came by until 15 minutes later, and that was to bring my drink -15 minutes to pay bill after receiving it -No plates were removed until the end -Some food items were incorrect temperature This experience was pretty saddening. On Friday March 31 after a long day of work at HPU my husband and I had made reservations for the Bone Fish for an early birthday dinner celebration. After being seated we waited 25 minutes, three servers passed us by, not one asked us if we had been served? or needed drinks? we got up and left. We also had a movie reserved after so time was of the essence. Then we found this place; decided to check it out. It was the best decision. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. This place is chill you have a wrap around bar with TVs and plenty of booths. The music was on a decent volume. The server was fast to take our orders bring our drinks. The food was good portions and great flavor. Our server kept coming back asking if we needed anything. When I arrived at 11:30pm the doors were all locked and they saw me knocking and directed me to another door--locked and they did not open it.
