My wife and I went for an early dinner yesterday. They were offering the lunch menu, which was fine. Being new residents to Pennsylvania, we had to order the soft pretzel that I know PA is famous for. It was served warm. It was AMAZING! It was soft and was served with two sauces. One was a sweeter mustard and the other was a queso. Both were great but that pretzel stood on its own, too. So good! I had the fish tacos and my wife had the burger. Being from Texas, I know good fish tacos and these were delicious! My wife enjoyed her burger that came so picture perfect. Her fries were also amazing. Our server was wonderful and suggested a great German beer. It was smooth and nothing like I have ever had in a beer. My wife loved her pomegranate gin martini. Our server provided the right amount of attention. The building had a contemporary but warm feel. We loved the holiday decorations and my wife loved the holiday music. It quickly became one of our favorites. We will return! read more

We happened to see this on our jaunt to Stumpy's. One of the family is big on whiskey and distilleries, so we had to stop by. Very glad we did. This place is very nice. From the ambience, to the furniture, the decor... all of it. We of course started off with a few flights of whiskey. I myself ordered the cocktails. I doubt all of the pours will be what they got; several shots of whiskey just for a tasting. It was incredible. We all found drinks we liked. I didn't have a single bad drink. All four were packin' heat, if you know what I mean. Not the biggest fan of their vodka and tequila. But it was a nice changeup. They also happen to have incredible food. From the appetizers, to their lunch items, to their dinners. We hung out here for about three hours. My brother got a chicken sandwich, a dessert, and an entree. Never have any of us ordered a "double-dinner". I got their slow-braised beef tortellini and pumpkin cheesecake. The dessert was spectacular; filled with rich, pumpkin flavor. First time visiting the restaurant for lunch. We were greeted at the hostess area when we entered and were quickly taken to our table. We were taken back to back to a back room to be seated by ourselves which seemed kinda odd. I then suggested to our hostess to be seated in the other section of the restaurant where there was more than plenty of open booths and tables. We were then seated a nice booth and were greeted by our waiter Ray. Very polite, friendly. We started with a few drinks, a smoke old fashioned and a magorita! Both were very good. We chose the still fries for an appetizer, very good ! For entree we selected the chicken salad sandwich along with a side salad and the jerky burger ! Again , very tasty! Our waiter ray was very helpful and always asked if we needed anything , got us some extra napkins, make sure we were well taken care of ! After we finished our meal , I told him it was all very good that we enjoyed everything ! So he asked if we were finished and asked if anyone was a first responder, nurse or vet , I In fact am a first responder for my local fire department so he took off a percentage of our check for that status. He also was very nice and offered a small sample of the whiskey that is distilled at the restaurant! Very strong if you aren't a bourbon or whiskey drinker , but very good quality! I do recommend trying our hidden stills if you're in the Hershey area for a concert, shopping or going to Hersheypark ! We will be back to check out the dinner menu! This restaurant is beautiful and focused on the served-from-scratch food and has house made spirits. We were sat in the upstairs loft area which was OK, but one person from my party mentioned she'd definitely recommend sitting on the main floor to experience a better ambiance. We tried the Blood Orange Cosmo and the Pomegranate Margarita and both were heavy on the tequila and light in the fruity flavors. The food was delicious! The BBQ Ship Tacos had a toasted soft tortilla and were properly stuffed and balanced with freshness and flavor. The only underwhelming item was the shrimp eggrolls- there are definitely better tasting items on the menu for the money. If I come back I'll be sure to sit downstairs. read more

I visited the Hidden Still Spirits on a Monday in March. I arrived around 5:15 and had no issue getting a seat at the bar. One of the bartenders quickly came over to inform me that Happy Hour was until 6 and gave me a list of specials, along with a regular menu. I ordered a very tasty cocktail as well as the Maryland Style Pit Beef Sandwich. My sandwich came out in under 10 minutes. There was definitely a fair amount of meat and fries for my meal. The meat was extremely tender and had a lot of taste. Fries were good too. This place has a really good vibe to it. It is extremely close to the park and I would highly encourage anyone in Hershey to stop by for a cocktail and a meal. I would definitely stop back again. read more

Sadly, it was our last night in Hershey and we headed to Hidden Still restaurant for dinner. Wish we would have discovered this place earlier in our trip, we would have eaten here more. Hidden Still is kind of hidden but well worth it. Mr. B started with a Bourbon flight of their house made Bourbons and thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. I was thrilled to see Waltz Vineyards Rock Red wine on the menu as it was the one I enjoyed so much on the Strasburg Railroad. We were set for drinks, now on to the menu. Mr. B settled on the Low Country Shrimp and Grits. Sitting atop the chipotle white cheddar grits with chunks of country ham were perfectly seared red shrimp, and all were sitting under a smoked tomato Beurre Blanc sauce. It was absolutely delicious and he savored every single bite until there was nothing left in the bowl. I went for the French onion tenderloin mafalda filet mignon tips pasta with caramelized onions and portobello mushroom chunks in a sherry wine and a rich and creamy beef demi-glace sauce. On top were torn bits of fresh burrata cheese. The pasta dish was served with a lovely crisp salad. The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere cool and classy in a rustic sort of way. read more

The environment is so cool- very industrial (old school factory decor) food and drinks from beginning to end was yummy and presented just as well. Came here on a Saturday night with reservations. Our party of four was sat upstairs at a table. Our server was Ray and he was FANTASTIC! They were really busy and yet he was extremely personable and also his recommendations were on point! We all started off with a cocktail. I had the "EB" and Ray explained the drink more in depth to make sure I would be ok with the taste. Exceptional service. We got the chicken lollipops and the brisket burnt ends for an appetizer. Both were delicious with great flavor and texture. My brother and his friend both had the rib eye. It looked delicious and tasted even better. I had the short rib pot roast and OMG... I died a little it was so good. My sister in law got the special. I forget the name but it was a certain type fish and it was delicious. Also the presentation was beautiful. However we sat by the order station near the staircase in the back and had the displeasure of witness the floor manager in action. The person was incredibly rude to the staff barking orders at them like they weren't people. It does not seem like the manager values the staff at all. The manager was so embarrassingly rude, that I wouldn't go back, at least not until they address a fundamental issue of their management team. It costs $0 to treat people, especially a staff/team that is working hard for you, with decency and dignity. I hope the company can address this need ASAP. read more

This place was incredible. We went before the Lady Gaga concert a month ago and it was packed when we went in because I think everyone had the same idea. We were told it was an hour wait for a table, then five minutes later they told us our table was ready. Weird but we didn't question it! The appetizers were great. We ordered the crispy brussel sprouts and the still fries. They were both delicious but the fries had so much flavor. If you love Boursin cheese as much I do, order these. The pit beef sandwich was very flavorful, and not dry at all. The ribs though! I'm salivating thinking about them. I have never seen meat fall off a rib like that. I have been going to Hidden Still since my daughter turned 21, about four years. I am a latecomer to craft cocktails and we both learned to appreciate them through the skill of bartenders like Taryn and others. None of them is still there. It seems like HS is a victim of its own success...the quality and balance of the drinks is not the same (an apple cider sour I had recently tasted primarily of sour mix, not much of bourbon and not at all like apple cider). The bartenders seem rushed to just get drinks made and out. And there's still an issue with food being room temperature; this has happened in my last several visits. My partner and I tried Hidden Still Spirits this past Friday. I just happened across it on Yelp, but otherwise had not heard of this place before. Am I lucky we found it though! We both had a cocktail - mine a cherry gin bees knees and hers a lavender mule. Both cocktails were delicious. We both had the strip steak with truffle butter, crispy onions, asparagus, potatoes and steak sauce. The steak was cooked pretty well, seasoning on point, the butter was legit - I asked for more to go with my leftovers. Potatoes, asparagus and the sauce were all good - I thought the steak was honestly flavorful enough on its own though. Last up we had banana peanut butter cheesecake. Holy moly Batman - delicious. Besides the awesome food and cool ambiance, the best part was the service. Our server, Ray, was so freaking nice. He offered suggestions, was so polite, and attentive without being too much. Had reservations for four on Saturday night and were seated promptly. Our waitress, Morgan, was just the right amount of attentive all evening. She was there when we needed her, but certainly didn't hover. Although we didn't try any of their spirits, the food we had was delicious. I had fish and chips. The portion of fish was huge and there were plenty of fries. The buttermilk cream slaw was an added bonus. My hubby had the turkey BLT&A sandwich. He said the sandwich was very good and he doesn't usually eat chicken sandwiches. He also had a big basket of fries which he enjoyed. We have dined at the previous location in Lebanon and enjoyed it very much. Yesterday we gave their new location a try and it was decent, crowded and it's a good idea to make a reservation. Our server was perfect, knew the menu well and was extremely attentive. We started out with the wings and we're not impressed with the size and price of $16.00. Wings we're small and crispy, the 3 sauces were great but not worth the price ! Dinner was the full rack of ribs which were outstanding, the meat fell off the bone so these were cooked perfectly, the sauce was spot on, the sashed potatoes were dry and had no flavor .... Menu is great with a variety of dishes, and the bar menu was similarly varied, with beer, wine, seltzers and cocktails. The chicken sandwich was delicious, nicely spicy and not fatty.
