Such a cool spot! Even though it's not the tallest building in Clayton it still offers great views of the area. The fans also keep the air moving in hot days, so it is a great temperature. The drink cocktails were delicious and the bartenders were very helpful. We got apps here and they were delicious!

Attended a lovely Yelp Elite event tonight. I can't wait to come back. Thanks to Yelp, High Bar, Petal STL for the food, drinks and beautiful fresh flower bouquets! Love the atmosphere high above downtown Clayton. With indoor and outdoor access it's perfect for an after work happy hour!

Great view on a beautiful day from the rooftop. The drink was refreshing and the bartender was very nice.

One of my favorite bars in STL! It was a great spot to pop in for drinks before dinner on a warm day. We sat on the rooftop patio, but there was plenty of space with good views inside too if the weather isn't cooperating. We will have to come back for food!

High Bar Clayton , I finally made it. I made a reservation for a table of two through Open Table app. Arriving on location pretty confusing on parking and precise location of the bar. I think her name was See (our server) she was attentive and friendly. My friend and I sat on the outside patio and the view was pretty. We ordered truffle fries and a blue moon and Michelob Ultra. (Fyi) I picked this time , thinking it was happy hr. Apparently Fridays are not happy hour approved. Pretty pricey menu on bar bites and cocktails. Inside seating was spacious and plenty of seating.

Really enjoyed the vibes of High Bar. It was a bit different than I expected but it was still really good. Drinks were good and this food we got was delicious! Also shout out to our server who remade our food since it didn't match what we had ordered the first time around. Really appreciate that understanding and accommodation :) The ambiance is nice. I wish some of the seating was more comfortable for longer sitting. However, they have so many options so just find the spot that works best for you :) Rating a 4/5 cause I would go again but it didn't blow my mind.

This place was very cool, new to Clayton and did not disappoint. We ended up sitting on the small outside part because it was so busy. They served drinks and food outside which was convenient! The drinks were really good, we got an espresso martini and a spritz cocktail, both were amazing. As far as food we got the shrimp, but the broth and bread were the stars of the show in the dish. The inside was really cool too; I loved all the seating areas in side, regular tables, bar seats , comfy seating, etc. The prices aren't outrageous and the vibe is just right

Had an awesome day at High Bar. The food, drinks, and views were all amazing. The staff was friendly, chatty, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Definitely a spot we'll be back to!

What a VIBE! I had been wanting to come here forever and finally came to celebrate my birthday. Word of the wise: make a Rez online! We got there and it was packed! I was so happy I had made a reservation weeks in advance. We had a table for 6 with 1 additional and they were accommodating by pulling up a chair (grateful for this). We started with a round of drinks, I went with a dirty vodka martini and it was very well made. For my meal I had the Italian flatbread. I loved the hot honey and cherry peppers on it. I would definitely order again. The views from High Bar are so awesome! We took some pictures on the patio; they have fire and cozy couches too!

We came to check this spot out looking for one of our favorite bartenders whom left one of our go-to spots to support her new endeavor. Of course she wasn't working that night but that didn't stop us from checking the place out an staying. The High Bar in Clayton, lives up to it's name. It's a chill, swanky bar situated in the heart of Clayton, a roof top bar with the views to match. The decor is upscale but laid back. You can dress up or dress down it doesn't matter. They have indoor and outdoor seating. No reservations needed. We walked in and sat at the bar with ease. The drinks are pricey which is to be expected but the food is more on the reasonable side. The Caesar salad was top notch and we added chicken for like $5 extra. We were so surprised at how elevated the salad was with the addition of the chicken. The downside was that the Caesar salad was lacking parmesan cheese, we had to ask for extra but the dressing was very good, not overly saturating the salad but also not lacking to make the salad dry. We also order a side of truffle fries which state truffle and parmesan snow, that was far from the case but the fries were hot-n-fresh and tasted delicious. The BF ordered the bar burger which he really enjoyed. The burger came with white cheddar, bacon, caramelized onion, house pickle and what they call fancy sauce and a side of fries. It was a solid burger for $19.00. What is lacking here is customer service to an extent. Some of the staff is gracious and friendly and some of the staff act like they only have one job and that's what they are going to do all night. If you bring out any type of food and a customer ask you for something, why isn't it your job to accommodate said request. If a customer ask for some napkins or a side of ranch, etc. If you brought out the food wouldn't you ask is everything ok, do you need anything and if the customer ask for something in addition that isn't out the way for you why would the customer have to ask someone else because you state you that isn't your job. What sense does that make. Does everyone NOT work together as a TEAM. Apparently TEAM is a foreign concept here. So if my server is the bartender and he's busy I have to wait while food gets cold because you do not want to walk back into the kitchen for some ranch, didn't you just bring my food out from said kitchen. Okkkkkk The drinks are literally OKayyyyyyy, for a bar of this caliber I expect perfection and I expect the bartender to be a mixologist. I would expect that you know your craft and can deliver. I also expect that you would know how to make a drink that's not on the menu. This place is great for out-of-towners who are staying in the hotel but for native St. Louisans they need to step their game up a notch. There are too many options in the STL for food and drinks.

High Bar in Clayton is a welcome addition to St. Louis' dining scene. We love the views and a menu that caters perfectly to pescatarians. #stlouispescatarianspproved The ambiance is modern and chic, snd the back lit bar is everything! The food here does not disappoint! The tuna tartare on toast is a must-try. The citrus shrimp is light, zesty, and absolutely delicious. And whatever you do, don't sleep on the truffle fries! They're crispy and yummy!

Stopped in because of all the hype on social media. It's definitely a neat atmosphere and I love the vibe of the place. A good spot for drinks with friends before a night out or maybe an evening happy hour. The food was good, the charred zucchini was different, and very interesting. Very yummy! The citrus shrimp were good. And of course, the truffle fries, can't really go wrong there. However, we were disappointed with the espresso martinis. They are advertised on the menu as having espresso in them along with Kahlúa... But I honestly feel like it was just Kahlúa. I'm a bit of an espresso martini snob... And I only want them if they are made with real espresso... And light on the cream or Baileys. These were very translucent and see-through, and they tasted just like pure Kahlúa. I was not impressed. Honestly they were gross. One of our group didn't even finish hers. I would not get them again. So I don't know if they were just made wrong or what... But I followed up with a traditional vodka martini, and that was perfectly fine. Also, the service was only so-so. Our server wasn't really around much and was kind of hard to find. And she would runoff before we could really ask any questions. Not very attentive. Parking is not the easiest. We were lucky to find a spot on the street at the meters outside of the hotel, but be prepared. It is Clayton after all.

    Fran B.

Lovely place. Modern decor. Good customer service. Delicious food. Located on the 11th floor downtown Clayton. I deducted one star because we sat under a ceiling fan and asked several servers if they could turn it off or down. We watched each one ask the manager and she said no. We were literally the only table remaining in the room and spent a lot of money on food and drinks. Poor customer service on the manager's part.

OpenTable showed a reservation available here, so we finally decided to give it a try--and we're so glad we did. Everything was fantastic. I started with the Green Turtle cocktail, made with Broker's Gin, cucumber, and basil, while my wife enjoyed a glass of Friulano. We opted to share several small plates, which turned out to be the perfect choice. We started with the Brussels sprouts and the goat cheese with bread, both excellent. I also had a cup of the chowder, which may have been my favorite thing of the entire meal. My wife ordered the nightly salad special with tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and balsamic dressing, and it was fresh and delicious. We considered ordering the flatbread as well, but by the time we finished everything else, we were completely stuffed. The service was spot-on from start to finish, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and everything was very reasonably priced. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

We had a reservation and were greeted and seated right away. They have a big blackboard where they write the special drinks of the day, so I always have to check that out! They have small plates and entrees there. We almost always do all small plates. The exception is the shrimp and grits because we really like it! This time we did all small plates. The stuffed portabellini mushrooms were a newer menu item and they were SO good! I could have ordered more of those and been fine without anything else! Our next favorite was the oven baked goat cheese. We literally get it every time we come here and it's always delicious. Then we had the Nashville Chicken Sliders. They're good, but nothing super special. Our last item was the short rib street tacos. I'll just say we won't order them again. They weren't bad, but they were lacking in flavor. My cocktail was from the specials list. It was the Bitter Bonfire - made with mezcal - and it was so good! I think my husband had a Manhattan. We will, of course, be back again!

The beets had a crisp texture you do not usually see, but the flavor was good and the goat cheese worked well. The pot roast was also solid with tender meat and plenty of flavor. Dessert was the coconut chocolate pie. It had sliced almonds that added some crunch and the portion was large enough to share. Drinks included the brandy margarita and the elderflower gimlet. Both were fine but the margarita was the standout. The cognac note gave it a deeper flavor. Overall, a pleasant dinner with good food and a cozy setting. I would return. Handing you the machine with only your total displayed with the expectation of immediately tapping your card and tipping doesn't give you the opportunity to review your bill at all. I didnt bring the overcharge to my server's attention because she was busy and there were 5 of us checking out at once. Maybe I'm old school but would love to have a ticket to review my charges before swiping to pay.

They had all kinds of seating, tables tall and regular, bar seats, couches and chairs, booths and an entire outside part that looked awesome if it had been warmer. The menus for both food and drink had a lot to offer. We ended up getting the bulgogi wraps, chicken skewers, and a few drinks. The taxi cab? Drink is fantastic , it was our favorite. Overall, a great spot!

This included a 4-course meal and a glass of wine. We arrived around 6:50pm to find many other couples standing, waiting to be sat down. We checked in and were told to stand and wait. Around 7:30 pm, several other couples became impatient and were told they may sit at the bar. At this point, many 7:30pm seating time couples had arrived. At 7:45 pm, I watched 2 couples from the bar get seated at tables. I had watched them arrive to the rooftop off the elevator after my husband and I, so I spoke to one of the servers expressing our desire to be seated given it was now almost an hour past our seating time and that couples who had arrived after us were already being seated. To their credit, they sat us quickly, but it continued to go downhill from here. We waited 15 minutes for water, which we only got when we flagged down a server. Our food came out relatively quickly. During our first course, I asked for napkins (every other table had red fabric napkins) and our server brought us like 20 paper cocktail napkins, not ideal for a nice dinner. Our entrees eventually came, although the server brought out two of the cod entrees. My husband ordered steak. He brought my husband's steak, which he ordered medium, however when he cut in it was obviously rare. It was sent back. The next steak was also rare. We spoke with who appeared to be running the event and he stated he agreed it was rare (bleeding on the plate.) Finally on the third try, we received a medium rare steak, not as ordered, but close enough and at this point we wanted out of there as it was past 10 pm. Mind you, at this point we could feel the anger and frustration radiating from all of the 8/8:30 pm seating people who were still waiting on tables. We left quickly when our meal was done. We had one refill of water the entire 2hrs we were eating our meal. We were not asked if we wanted anything else to drink. This was a small event, maybe 15 tables. I'm not sure if it was overbooked, underpowered, or if they simply were just unprepared, but I've never had such a poor experience at a restaurant.

Arrived around 7:30 on a Friday night and the next available reservation wasn't until 10:30/10:45. There are about 5-6 dart stations throughout the restaurant that accommodate different group sizes. The seating was open so after roaming a bit cozied into a booth behind the bar where a tv was near by to watch the basketball game. From entrance to exit, everyone was friendly and warm. From my vantage point I observed all of the employees working together to make sure drinks were served quickly, food orders came out hot and guests' needs were met. The cocktail and mocktail was delicious, the lobster elote with seasoned tortillas was very flavorful and entrees did not disappoint. Validation tickets for parking in the parking garage next door is a plus! I'll be going back, have to try the darts!

I don't play darts so I have zero skill here, but, with the plethora of games, there is fun to be found. I was definitely throwing from the "Rookie" line, but it didn't matter, we still had a good time! It was a little cramped but there were quite a few of us in there so understandable. With this private booth, we had a selection of appetizers, a dessert tower, and unlimited booze. Of the appetizers, the buffalo chicken sliders were my favorite and the desserts (cannoli, cream puffs, double-chocolate cookies to name a few) were surprisingly good! The bar staff working that evening were pleasant and accommodating, ensuring we all had a drink in one hand and a plate of food within arms' reach. All-in-all, I had a fun time at Flight Club St. Louis, I'd come back for a few rounds of darts and drinks!
