This was the Avacado toast we paid $8 for.

A friend and I went to this restaurant at 12:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. It seemed that we were the only ones in the restaurant. It was a beautiful restaurant, but the price for what we ordered was a bit over priced. We ordered breakfast which came with one piece of toast. We wanted a little more so we ordered Avacado toast for around $8. I am posting a picture of what we got. I don't think we will be going back again, too pricy for what we received. Sorry!

My daughter and I had dinner at Highland Bistro on my last night in Issaquah. We were looking for a place that had a good variety of food. I wasn't terribly hungry, so I had a small bowl of clam chowder and she and shared a cheeseburger. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back on my next trip out west!

We were excited to hear about highlands bistro! Food was absolutely delicious. We got crab cakes, spaghetti, side ceasar with chicken and the chicken piccata. The service was friendly and attentive. My family will be going here again.

We went here Wednesday for dinner, our second visit. Folks, it was so delish!! We ordered the salmon and the grilled chicken burger. Both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor! The fresh veggies with the salmon and the fries with the burger were spot on. The staff is absolutely wonderful!! I really can't recommend Highland Bistro enough! Not sure about the other reviews, but both visits both our meals were served at the same time. Staff were knowledgeable of the menu and offered suggestions when asked.

The staff were friendly, and they got food to us pretty quickly. Their lemon pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the omelette I ordered was also extremely tasty. Full of veggies, and the hashbrowns were crispy and yummy. The Belgium waffle was soft with great flavor. Great portion sizes too! The pancakes were huge, and the omelette was big! Everyone at my table was very satisfied with the food. Basically it's just a really really good classic brunch spot with modern seating and delicious food and standard prices. Probably my favorite brunch spot in the area now!!

When we walked in, almost all the tables were full and the dining room is shaped kind of like an L. There are booths and normal wooden tables. We were greeted by a host and sat down immediately upon entering. The majority of the tables in the restaurant were filled as well. That caused service to be pretty inattentive and slow. We didn't get to place our order for 10 minutes and it took another 40 minutes to come out. The server did apologize for this and explained there was a big party in the back, so there was grace for this as the staff members all seemed kind. We had ordered several dishes to share. Fun fact: you can ask for items to be made in side portions even though it's not listed on the menu like we did with the pancakes and hash. lemon ricotta pancake: fluffy and light texture wise. I didn't taste much lemon, but the fresh berries and cream atop still made for a delicious bite. The batter itself isn't too sweet either and i liked how they placed all the condiments on the side. corned beef hash: well seasoned. This was my first time trying corned beef hash, so I don't have anything to compare it to. It's a simple dish with beef and potatoes but I probably wouldn't order again so I felt it was dry to eat alone without sauce. crab benedict: crabs tasted fresh and the eggs were well poached. It had the perfect runny consistency. My only critique is that I wish the hollandaise sauce was stronger, it gets muted by the crab and egg. migas: I enjoyed the flavor, but wished there was more protein. It was mainly tortilla chips and I didn't see the bell peppers listed on the menu. The hashbrowns I got with the dish were crispy and not too oily. I also enjoyed their fresh baked biscuits which were moist and paired well with the berry jam provided. All in all, I thought they had very good portion sizes at this restaurant for the price of things. We enjoyed the flavor and atmosphere. It can get loud with a lot of people dining all at once and the tables being so close together, but it's a nice option for family breakfast if you don't mind these factors. I rounded up a star giving them the benefit of the doubt that their service isn't normally like, but I appreciate the freshness of their ingredients most. It's worth the try and they have a nice parking lot in the back of the plaza that is free.

Have been here couple of times so far. Tried meze platter, menemen, Turkish bread, simit (Turkish sesame bagel), Turkish coffee, tahini cookie, chicken sandwich, Turkish tea. Pros: Cozy and clean Very darling place Great atmosphere It was so wonderful to hear the staff speak Turkish language, very dear to me as I grew up in the region. Nice presentation in authentic dishes. Delicious bread Good chicken sandwich Food tastes very fresh Good tea Cons: Place is very small inside and crowded on weekends. There's seating outside but if it rains you're SOL because there are no umbrellas to cover the tables. You'd think that the owners would take care of it considering it rains almost all the time. Turkish coffee was a great disappointment. It's my favorite coffee, I make it at home often. It just didn't taste good. Good quality coffee is not supposed to create acidity in your stomach. This coffee did. Service is lacking. I don't care for overly pleasing in your face service, but still appreciate it when the staff is reasonably interested to accommodate. After all restaurant business is about service. You just don't feel welcomed in this place. Simit was a great disappointment. It just doesn't taste like anything. Definitely doesn't taste like traditional Turkish simit. Simit is one of the most delicious foods out there! Menemen was bland. Considering that the food is nothing crazy amazing prices are very high. Just ok: Meze was ok. I wouldn't order it again though. Tahini cookie was ok too. Wouldn't order it again. Part of me wants to come back and give it another chance but 2 previously very mediocre experiences keep telling me not to.

We ordered the half portions and it was perfect. The salsa on the Huevos Rancheros was delicious-- smoky, spicy, and had the perfect kick to balance the flavors of everything else going on the plate. The California Eggs Benedict came with grilled onions, which I absolutely loved. (You don't see onions typically in that dish.) Hash browns were meh. My favorite however was the avocado crema that came with the Breakfast Quesadillas. Creamy and flavorful-- they made the quesadillas sing. Quesadillas were scrumptious-- chock full of scrambled eggs, veggies, and green onions, this one is going to be on our repeat menu . We loved it so much that the person who served gave a complimentary cup to go as we were packing the leftovers. On that note I must say that the service was warm and attentive. We came on a weekday for brunch and were amazed to see how full it was. There was quite a bit of wait for lunch hour so this tells me how popular this place is. No wonder there are so many good Yelp reviews. This may just be our new family favorite.

We chose the bar patio, which was cozy, fully covered, and set up with a handful of small high-top tables, making it a really comfortable spot to relax. The drink menu could use a little more detail, since none of the draft options were listed. When we asked about cider, our server checked and let us know they had a cherry pomegranate cider on tap. For beer, the options were simply described as an IPA and a lager, so we went with the lager. It was good, though we never found out which brewery it was from. We also ordered a mule, which was well made. For happy hour, we shared the half charcuterie board ($12), and it was beautifully presented with a great variety. We were impressed enough to stay for dinner afterward. We ordered the burger and the Greek salad with chicken after learning they were out of prawns. Our server also thoughtfully mentioned they were out of Kalamata olives in case that changed my order, which I appreciated. Both entrees were delicious. The burger stood out thanks to the homemade ketchup, which was especially good. The Greek salad was fresh and flavorful, though a bit light on portion size. Service throughout the evening was friendly and attentive, and by around 7 p.m. on a Friday, the restaurant had become quite busy. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with great patio ambiance, solid food, and warm service.
