Hands down this place is a disaster. The management is rude. The service is slow, the food is bad, the drinks are weak.

I guess this is kind of a whole in the wall place kind of place. Dark, smoky, a little dirty, but for whatever reason I absolutely crave their so called "Boring Burger". Especially late nights. It's nice and meaty, and seasoned so well. Reminds me of summertime grilling. Throw in the tater tots instead of fries, and there is no way I'm sharing any of this! Love love love this place! You have to get the Queso! It's served with fresh warm tortillas and tortilla chips. They also have some of the best wings I have ever tasted. They make their blue cheese with sour cream so it is lighter and definitely more tasty than the mayonnaise store bought kind. Make sure you play Buzztime trivia while you are there. I rate it 4 because of the drink specials. They have $6 pitchers, $5 tequila shots and margaritas (medium shelf liquor) and $5 Bacardi shots. There is a blonde waitress who is fun and entertaining to laugh with (or of). But if you want amazing service head to the bar and ask for Siouxsie (pronounced Susie) Mooke. Great place to go for karaoke most nights! Sarge is fun and has a good following. Come early to get the best service food wise - the food is good and even a $10 steak night that is actually very good. However, after about 1030 or so the servers get too busy to keep up on food orders very well. But great drink specials and an overall good time. read more

The environment was fine and time of service was fine - quality of food we ordered was fine. However, when I ordered a drink called "Holy Water" it was not what I expected and when I asked the server if they could swap it out for something totally different he told me they couldn't do anything about the fact that I didn't like it and that I would have to drink it basically. I've worked in the restaurant business a lot and I know the stands of customer service these days are much higher than that. I didn't want to order anything else out of fear of disliking the drink so I left. read more

I LOVE COMING TO HIGHLANDS!!! The wait staff is so friendly, everyone that works there remembers your name and what you like to drink. Some people have said that they have had to wait for their waitress or drinks or food. Yes, I have had to wait on occasion but never more than 10 minutes. If you are fed up on having to wait 10 minutes you should not be going out you should lock yourself in your house until you learn a little patience. I love that this bar is a regular place and not trying to be some fancy night club for college kids. The food is awesome and the drinks are cheap. I love that there is a covered out door patio! I love that there is buzz time trivia! Although I do not smoke and hate to come home smelling like smoke it is nice that the smokers have a covered outdoor area to do so. The last time I was in the owner himself actually came by our table to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves!!! I love that the tables are cleared in a timely manor and that the orders are usually correct, I have said no tomato's for a salad and had it come with tomato's on it, but this is my only and biggest complaint about the place. $5 pitcher's $3 shots and daily food specials, this place is my cheers I LOVE THIS BAR!!! read more

Their cookie-dough shots take me to cloud 9! Haven't had a beverage here I didn't love. Quality and fun to get drunk at with friends. Careful, lets people smoke after 10pm, I think. Gets so smokey inside hard to see/breathe. Would recommended going before 10pm. Karaoke is fun to watch. Their burger was build-your-own and delicious. So was their quesadillas. Its rare that I would recommend a bar for food but I have to say this place is amazing. It has become a regular spot for my girlfriend and I to go to get burgers and wings. Prices are very low in comparison to competition and the quality of the product is very high. Speaking as someone that searches for the best wings constantly I must say that highlands stands at #1 currently and at the cheapest price point. In terms of alcohol I must say I am not a big spender but for a guy on a budget this is the only bar I know that I can get a stream of drinks at $2. I have never had a problem with staff or service. I have never entered into an environment that felt bad (to smokey etc) and I really do wish them the best, I made this account just to say this. read more

Stopped by to see the GT game today. The order of nachos was good, but I received no silverware and 2 napkins. Thought waitress would come back by and ask if there was anything else I needed. WRONG.
