For years I depended on auto dealerships to service my vehicles because I just did not know where to find a reputable, honest mechanic to work on my cars. After receiving an estimate for numerous recommended repairs that "needed" to be done on one of my vehicles, I started searching for a second opinion. I found Highline online and since they were close to home, decided to give them a try. I took my vehicle in along with the list of services and prices from the dealership. I am convinced that the dealership included some services on their list just because of the mileage on the vehicle, not based on actual wear and tear. Highline did a thorough inspection and even took us into the shop and pointed out where the issues were and recommended a list of repairs that was less than half the cost quoted by the dealership. I have since had both of my vehicles back to their shop and have always been 100% satisfied with the service. I have finally found that friendly, honest mechanic shop that one always hopes to find. I will take all of my work to Highline and will recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic. I have heard them dealing with other customers while waiting to pick up my car, and they are not always trying to figure out how to get that last dollar out of your pocket and into theirs. EXCELLENT. I have taken my small fleet of trucks to Wes at Highline since the day they opened. Many people take their trucks to a big dealer with the hopes of them doing things right and finding real problems before they are bad and cost you more time. But we all come to find out that most of the time we get up sold, over charged, and it stays there for days. I have taken my trucks to several dealers and even under warranty and they don't even address some issues. I had to make sure I have gotten a copy of the intial drop off reciept that they do not even offer you. Which we should not need if we could trust them. Then smaller shops don't find problems. Highline has it all and as you can see Wes is very concerned about all customers issues, if any. He is very willing to address all issues, and pleasantly. Machanics have a tuff job, cars are for sure an art sometimes to fix. They can handle it. Be assured that if they say something else is wrong that it is accurate and they are not upselling you. Highline Import Auto is the best place to bring your car. I have been going to them for a long time I'm happy with the service and the people that work there. They keep my info from what they do on my cars on file they will send emails out to me. I go there every time to get my oil change for the fact that they look over my vehicle and let me know ahead of time of what may need to be done on my car for the next service. That helps me a lot because I'm always on a budget and at least I know what I need to save. They are very honest to me, about my cars I just bought a car for my daughter and they looked it over and the one concern was if the timing belt has been changed and in my car you can't really see it because it's hidden well and in a small space but they took there time and noticed it had been changed that saved me a lot of money. They did review what was wrong with the car which I was shocked it was just the basic maintenance. I'm from the Midwest small town so it's hard to find down to earth people that actually make time for you and not rush you in and out. Having recently moved to this area, and having an older BMW, I was concerned with the fact that my "service engine soon" light suddenly popped on. Had a great relationship with the local independent BMW maintenance provider in Monterey, and was at a loss as to whom to go to locally. Yelp reviews for Highline were great, so I gave them a call on a Sunday nite and left a voicemail. My call was promptly returned by Charlie just after they opened Monday, and I brought it in to figure out which error code(s) triggered the light The problem was diagnosed (with much tenacity by Wes and Josh), and parts were ordered, with the assurance that the car was OK to drive safely until parts arrived. Hello all: My name is Rick I live in Colorado, I called Highline for a repair on a touch screen black out on my 2008 Toyota Prius. My local toyota dealer's price was through the roof. The reason was they had no one to rebuild or fix my old screen. big big savings repairing or rebuilding over the price of a new unit. Even on ebay units from salvage still a big gamble of ending up in the same boat later on the 350.00 unit and installation fees. Let me tell you Highline Auto care is honest very fair priced, and the best bunch you would ever want to deal with. It was worth the drive of 650 miles just to get this done by Highline auto care,and I would do it again. By the way they fixed my old unit for $ 95.00 fixed the connection problem. I went in because of the great reviews. I know if your like me you try to find the right auto repair to get all your needs done in one place and don't want to feel taken advantage of after you leave. I'm not a mechanic nor do I know much about cars so that doesn't help you. I do feel that they are fair, communication was great, I will try their oil changes, I feel like I was being helped by a friend and will continue to go to this location. Thank you. Oh... If it helps you to decide on taking your car here. I have a 2009 Scion XB that the a/c was not blowing cold air consistently and it cost me under $120. No it wasn't just a freon charge. They took all the freon out, vacuumed the system, added die and refill. It works that's all I know. I will update you on more reviews if this helps, when I go to get my oil changed there. I have been to Highline three times now to fix different issues on my 2012 Ram 1500 and have been very impressed each visit. They have successfully replaced a bad brake master cylinder on my first visit... Brought the truck in a second time because it was running horrible and had a cylinder 6 misfire code so they replaced spark plugs and serviced the fuel injection system and it has run like brand new ever since. I also had them replace my old worn tires and do a wheel alignment while it was there... Third trip was just last week when my 4 wheel drive quit working. They diagnosed the problem and replaced the actuator motor that had failed on the transfer case (dang electronic 4wd!!!)... Bottom line, im a guy that likes to fix and maintain my own stuff, but when I dont have the knowledge or tools for a certain problem, I take it to Highline and they have always done me right. My son driving his Jeep Wrangler thru Phx and I noticed a misfire. I after talking to three other shops was referred to Highline by a auto parts rep who said they were professional, knowlegeable and reasonably priced. I called and talked to Charley who said to bring it by and they would take a look. The reviews here were impressive so even tho they were farther away, decided to give them a shot. Take a look they did by using a camera inside the motor/spark plug hole in the head. They gave a written estimate which was competitive and started the following morning. Jon, a experienced Jeep mechanic, did the work although they are labeled as a import shop. All questions were answered, the work professional and prompt so I will give these boys a 'High 5'! Wes and his team were amazing! As a young person who does not know much about cars, I was concerned when they told me my car needed some major repairs and gave me a quote of about $1700 when I brought my 2006 Honda Civic in for an oil change. I checked around with a few other mechanics and they confirmed the problem but estimated bigger price tag. They fixed the steering pump, replaced the rack and pinion, fixed the front right engine mount in a day. When I dropped my car off, they made sure I had a ride to and from their shop and were so professional, kind, and helpful through the whole process. I have always taken my car to Highline and recieved great service. They never try to up sell things that are not needed, but make me aware of concerns and let me chose to do them or not. No high pressure here. Had a air-conditioning issue for them to check out. They figured out the compressor was bad. I mentioned I have an extended aftermarket warranty and they said give them the phone number and policy so they could handle it. They got everything covered, made the calls, and even dropped my car off at my office. It doesn't get any better than that. I took my car into Highline because it was making a funny noise when I turned the wheel. The owner, Wes, determined that it was a power steering rack, that was going to run me about $2,000! Since my car is a 2012, before he started working on it, Wes called Lexus and verified my car was still under warranty AND coordinated with the dealership to have my car picked up from his shop!! Although this visit did not result in a sale for Highline, Wes's honesty earned a lifetime customer in me! 100% trust these guys. They don't try to pressure you into having unnecessary work done simply because your car's maintenance schedule calls for it. What made me feel extra great was when I took my car to the dealer for an airbag recall. The dealer of course checked my car's maintenance schedule and noted the mileage and told me it "was time" to have work done. Of course I declined because they WAY overcharge. But he said everything looked really good and asked me who I take my car to. Kudos to Highline for the awesome work they do! You impressed even the guys at the dealer.
