I've had several repairs done here on my 2005 BMW 645ci including replacement of cylinder head gaskets (with head milling) shock and strut mount repair, windshield and headlight washer pump replacement/repair, oxygen sensor replacement, oil pan gasket and sensor replacement and oil changes. They performed free 33 point inspections and free engine scans. The head gasket replacement took about a month to complete. There was a problem after completion of the job with some wires they put in the wrong position. They fixed this problem and the car has run fine since. I can't say anything about prices because I didn't comparison shop. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Overall, I can recommend this shop to others. read more

After reading the reviews I felt like this was a shop I could feel comfortable taking my vehicles to, locally owned, in the area, and I'd be supporting a local small business. I took my first car there for an oil change, good work they said on the invoice they reset my change oil indicator which they didn't and you almost need an instruction manual on how to do it, but not a big deal. My second vehicle a 2018 they did an oil change, changed cabin air filter, air filter, brake system flush, and 3 part fuel induction flush for $450. I received my vehicle back and called after noticing the AC unit was noticeably louder then when I brought it in. I talked to the guy I was working with and he was cool about it and said to bring it in that day and they'd take a look at it. Brought it in and was told nothing they did caused it but leaves might have got into the blower motor. I was floored because it wasn't making the noise before it went in, they wanted another $100 to take the blower apart and see if debris got in there. I understand things happen but to charge me another $100 to see what might have happened during the service on a 2 year old vehicle was insulting. I went back and forth with the guy Adam who was intent on proving why he was right and nicely offered to have me listen with the filter in and out and all I could say was it wasn't like that when it went in. All in all, I decided to just pick my vehicle up and not continue it as he wasn't willing to do anything other then explain to me why I was incorrect. I'm sure this is a great shop, it just wasn't a good experience for me, and the $100 and why I was wrong was more important then the repeat business on my other vehicles. read more

Excellent shop! I had already purchased some parts for my car and needed a good mechanic for install. I found this shop via Yelp and saw that they had also done some work on a Civic Si, Toyota Supra, and Subaru WRX- looks good to me. Dropped the car off in the afternoon and picked up the following day (I also got a picture of the install about 8pm at night!). I have lived in the East Valley for over 5 years and I am so thankful to have found a place to bring my car for servicing that does not cost me my first born child and rip me off. The staff is always attentive and friendly and I never have to wait an absurd amount of time to get work done on my car. I would say if you are going in for minor repairs and/or you know exactly was wrong with your car, then you can go here. But I wouldn't trust this place for major repairs, or troubleshooting of major issues. Took my car one time because the car didn't start, they charged me up to $600 in repairs, and as soon as I get in the car, the car had the exact same problem it had when I brought it in and didn't start. They said it was another issue that was causing the car not to start. If you are troubleshooting a car, couldn't one get to the root of the problem first before charging you for something that is not going to resolve the problem? In addition, I visit this mechanic regularly, and I was never treated as a recurrent customer. The last time I took my car, they never called me about the car being ready. Anyhow, not better or worse than many other mechanics in the east valley. read more

Brought the wife's armada in to charge up the a/c did a wonderful job and did it for a great price. They also noticed some other issues with the power steering glad they took the time to inspect the whole car and not just focus on the a/c. I've been going to Wes for car repairs since he started the business. He and the staff are honest, do great work, and stand behind the work they do. Most recently it was some maintenance on a used G35 I had bought for a first car for my HS daughter. They did the work, had the vehicle detailed, and Charlie even had a nice flowering plant on the hood. I tricked my daughter into going with me to the shop, they parked it behind the shop and we surprised her..man did her face light up. Great experience. Despite the somewhat hard to find location at the rear of an industrial strip complex, this place is everything Yelpers say it is: Same day service without an appointment, reasonable prices, and a loaner car to tool around in while you wait. I'm a bit of a complainer, but there's nothing to complain about here: I called on a Monday morning with a brake issue and Charlie told me to bring it on over - I did and was given an old Nissan Pathfinder to roam around in. Great Service! A+++ I took a chance and chose Highline based on the reviews, since this is the first time I've needed auto repair since I moved here 4 years ago. In June, my nice Honda Accord's engine blew due to a previous mechanic not filling the radiator fluid properly. What a loss! So I bought a used Honda Civic; needed the alternator replaced and asked them to please check out the car to see if it needed anything else. It needed new front brakes and rotors. There was a ms-communication and I was a bit frustrated, but Charlie and Wes graciously took the time to explain things to me. They went out of their way to resolve the communication issue. I really wanted to give this place a good review because the guys were pleasant to talk to on the phone. The problem is, Highline gets $1,600 out of me, keeps my car for 6 weeks, and gives me my car back with a check engine light and brake light blinking that weren't doing this when I gave them the car. How do you return a car to a customer like that? Horrible! Here's the situation: My car wouldn't start, had it towed there. They said it was the ignition control and call me 2 days later to pick it up after they have started the car a dozen times. I drive it home and the next day it wouldn't start, so it is returned to the shop. Highline wasn't very good about giving me updates, so after several days, I'm told it's a computer problem, but they would have to outsource the car to a dealership. 2 weeks later and $1,600, they tell me they have taken the car for several test drives and the car is good to go. I pick up the car right before closing and drive 10 miles and I start getting every warning light possible popping up (funny that this didn't happen to them, huh). I turn around and drive the car back and have to leave it in the lot because they are closed. Call the next day and they send the car back to the dealership, where my updates are days apart with no progress. Finally, 3 weeks later, they think they have the problem solved, but tell me that they can't figure out why a break light is blinking and they simply can't figure it out without charging me more. After not having the vehicle for 6 weeks, I decide that these guys don't know what they are doing and I'm not paying out anymore. Since, my daughter lives closer to the shop, I asked her to pick up the car and it drives fine, but, in addition to the brake light blinking, the check engine light is on too. Let's see what happens, I've had the car less than 24 hours. To Highline's defense, they did give me a loaner vehicle after 2 weeks because the repair was taking longer than expected. I really appreciated that because not having the vehicle was getting to be inconvenient. I think the issue that tied their hands was outsourcing the vehicle, because they were at someone else's mercy. And, I know first hand, that electrical problems are a pain in the behind, and that's why I was very patient. Again, I want to note that everyone that I talked to was very nice, so maybe this was an isolated incident. Another troubling thing is that they had a call center give me a call while the car was being serviced. I told them the car was still being repaired, so I'd wait until repairs were done to write a review. I look on the site, before I picked up the car and there is a 5 star review with my name. That is why I'm giving this review, so people know this is coming from me and not a call center. I think it's safe to say that I won't be going back to this place. read more

Car was getting too hot one evening after a few days of trouble. Charlie was very nice when I explained what had been happening and told me to fill up the radiator with water, and walked me through the steps of how to do it. When I arrived at Highline safely, they let my car cool down and took a look... cracked radiator. Charlie quoted me a price and I called me home mechanic just to check (you can never be too careful). My mechanic at home said that was a pretty good price and said that they had never replaced the radiator, so a crack was possible. Highline lent me a truck to drive to work and I picked up my car the same day. They also have wifi so I was able to work while I was waiting for the loaner. About two weeks later, when I returned from vacation, my AC started to wimp out. I wasn't very happy since I just spend a lot of money fixing it within the last year. Didn't know if something had happened during my radiator replacement that had caused the AC to not work. Charlie had me bring it back in and someone looked at it-- apparently some wires had gotten disconnected somehow and they fixed it no charge. Overall, very nice and trustworthy guys. A good mechanic is very important yet hard to find. Would recommend! read more

I really wish I found this place years ago, but glad I have now. I had to change the rear brakes on my Honda but didn't want to go back to the dealer to have it done. The Honda brakes are too soft for my model. I did a quick search on yelp and found everyone gave Highline 5 stars over a long time period. I figured I'll give 'em a shot. Couldn't be worse than the dealer, right? They are amazing! The shop is super clean and all the staff is professional and courteous. Instead of tacking on unnecessary services, Wes and his crew are straight up and advised that they would double check the dealer recommendations before changing the brake and power steering fluids. The cost of the job was fair and reasonable and they offered a $100 off promotion on yelp for $75. My brakes are feeling great, ER brake adjusted and there's no squealing. I definitely found permanent shop my Honda. It has been a few weeks since they did my brakes and no issues. I'm a very satisfied customer!!! read more

This is the only place I let make repairs on our cars, outside of the dealership now. They are genuine and HONEST!!! I can't tell you how many times we took our cars to a chain repair place near our home (we live 16 miles from their location) only to be given a laundry list of items "needing" to be fixed. Then we would take our vehicles across town to have Wes and his crew look at it to learn almost NONE of it was necessary. After this happened a few times we just made the drive to Highline and saved ourselves the hassle. They only tell you of necessary work and will even inform you of work that you can get done for free with dealers on cars within warranty. My example is, we had a timing cover gasket leaking on our Acadia when we came in for an oil change. Jason told us to take it in while it's under warrant and saved us loads of money. Not to mention the dealer found more warranty work to complete. We are so grateful for all the money they saved us. I never leave wondering if the price was fair or the work was necessary. I wish I could agree with you all ,but I can't . I took my dad's truck down here and they wanted over $900 to replace a fuel pump and for a battery. Oh yeah and $20 in gas I took it back to my house and bought a new fuel pump ($216 for it ) and a new battery (that only cost $80). I got home and put the new battery in and tried to start the truck it started right up. I can't believe that they tried to do that. I will tell everyone I know not to go there. The worst attempt to rip off a disabled senior I've seen in a while. I wish I didn't have to give a star at all but looks like I have to. read more

I took my car in because I had the check engine light on. So I went Highline import auto and met Wes. And right from the beginning I felt comfortable as I felt that Wes was very honest. Within five minutes of being there he took my car and diagnosed it and said it was the cam sensor. He then replaced the sensor within a few hours of my next visit and I took my car home. Later that day that check engine light came back on. And since I've had so many bad experiences with mechanics I thought oh my gosh. But I called and I talked to Wes and he said no problem come on in and I'll take a look at it again. He then realized that my car needs "two" cam sensors. So he ordered the other one and installed it for free!!! And on top of that he cleared out the gray fuzz that was on my headlights without even mentioning it!!! I'm super impressed by this place and Wes... I'm definitely going to come back. I highly recommend it. read more
