Great place for coffee , breakfast or lunch! Very popular and busy. Lots of great healthy food options, including delicious gluten free breads. Everything is made fresh to order. Staff is friendly and efficient. Prices reasonable. Seating indoor and outside. Ambiance is pleasant, well lit with large windows and spacious. Give it a go!

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the food was delicious! We got lucky with street parking and walked over. There was a short line to check in and get seated. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and we decided to sit outside. Our server was okay, the service felt underwhelming and took away from the overall experience. I ordered the breakfast plate and it was really good! The jam was really tasty and the hot sauce was perfect with the eggs. I can definitely see this place getting crowded during breakfast hours.

So vibessss, fun green shades, coffee bar, and outdoor seating. + Yuzu deviled eggs ($9 for 2 eggs): nailed the yuzu flavor but prefer egg white bits/texture in my deviled eggs (8/10) +Breakfast burrito ($17 + $5 steak): only a few and also too big pieces of steak so was hard to eat but nice crispy tortilla, and hot sauce (7.5/10) + Black sesame waffle didn't taste like black sesame at all, just a sweet waffle (7/10)

I'm always in search of cool new brunch spots and came upon Highly Likely. The food was good, although nothing really blew me away. Service was good, our waiter checked in with us pretty regularly. The only downside were the flies. Maybe bc we sat next to the bathroom area with patio access, but the flies were really bothersome.

It looked like a popular neighbourhood spot so we ended up picking it for brunch. A solid spot with a warm, relaxing ambiance and plenty of comfortable seating. I went with the fish and chips, which were great. Everything was well-seasoned. The fish was nicely fried, with a really satisfying crispy exterior. Though for the fish and chips purist, beware of the different breading style. Nothing overly complicated, just well executed comfort food with a twist. The only thing that held back the experience was the service. The staff weren't particularly enthusiastic, and we ended up waiting about 15 minutes just to get the bill. They weren't exactly busy either. Not a dealbreaker, but it definitely took some of the shine off an otherwise pleasant brunch. Overall a lovely place with good food and a great atmosphere. I'd come back!

I think I saw this place on Instagram and couldn't wait to try. I've ordered by delivery a few times. I love the KYOTO BOWL. It's a brown rice porridge with crispy rice on top. I like the mushrooms and poached egg. It's a great savory and mellow dish. I like to add a side of crispy bacon on the side. The AVOCADO TOAST surprised me. The flavor is classic but they add a zesty sauce or something that elevates it. I really enjoy the pickled onion too. I haven't eaten at the restaurant itself but I imagine the food could only be better served directly.

First time trying Highly Likely and you can't go wrong with the breakfast plate! I loved the complimentary jam and the hot sauce we asked for was so so good with the eggs. The perfect kick! Service was okay on a Sunday afternoon and there is lots of seating outside. Cool ambiance to grab a bite with friends.

GOOD espresso. Vibes were just a bit weird when I arrived. Because this is also a restaurant, it works a lot like one. The person at the entrance just looked at me confused instead of asking me if I had a reservation or how large my party was. She almost expected me to walk myself around. Bar server was very friendly though and checked in with me consistently and made and effort to have a conversation. I like the idea of sitting at a bar to have coffee instead of drinks, but still not sure if I would come back due to the service. Might give the place a second chance soon.

I've been to Highly Likely a few times now, and it's quickly become a favorite brunch spot in the area. I've only had their breakfast food and drinks, so I can't speak to anything else. On my last visit, I sat at the bar with my husband. He ordered the breakfast sandwich, and I had the Mediterranean eggs. We both wolfed down our food, but the sandwich was way too small. It looked like it was on a grocery store hamburger bun. As my husband is 6'4", he shared the rest of my meal with me. The Mediterranean eggs were so delicious. The spicy labneh is the bomb. Also loved the little salad with pickled onions. Service wasn't bad. They were definitely packed and we waited about 10 minutes before finding seating. It was also really warm in there because it's open to the outdoors in the back. I've not been in the summer yet, but I hope they do something to cool the place when it's over 80 degrees. Wait staff were generally friendly and helpful. it was a nice time overall. They just need a bit more with the sandwich, like maybe a side salad or different bread. But I always enjoy coming because it's so lively and the food and drinks are yummy. :)

The impeccable Mid-Century Modern ambience of Highly Likely is truly a transfixing eye-catcher. A ton of wonderful natural light in the interior of the building. Their outdoor patio is also delightful and quite big. Every staff member interacted with was super kind and warm. Their cold brew is terrific. Great setting to any morning. Would also be good for a morning meeting over coffee (and food is offered here too!)

The gist - The food wasn't as expected. The presentation was great, but the flavors were off on everything. The arugula artichoke dip had way too much lemon and the steak marinade was similar to funky teriyaki. The poivre sauce was good though. It was like the chef tried to put a twist on classics but missed the mark. Our server was very nice. The hostess was pleasant as well. I really liked the ambiance. The inside was upscale modern with music, and the back patio was pretty but more laid back and quiet.

    Would be better not cold.

Cute place. Cold breakfast. Not terrible taste-wise but cold bacon and eggs is a bummer. Not cheap either.

Came on a quiet sunday afternoon when meter parking is free! Sat with our yappy dog in the outdoor rear patio. Chose seats by the bamboo trees vs table. Just ordered latte, strawberry tiramisu and a bloody mary. would come back and try the food it's a vibe!

Ask the Community - Highly Likely

Is this a good place for a Bible study group in the evening?

No. After 4 PM, they are a sit-down, wait-service dinner restaurant. They are also strictly laptop-free after 4.

    Is there free parking?

No. There's metered parking on the street, I believe, and a parking lot for a fee.

Are there vegan options? Do you order at a counter or a table?

Yes, vegan options, and you order at the counter but can also flag someone down from your table and order more items.

Are dogs allowed in the outside dining area? Thanks in advance.

    Yes, I see them frequently.

Are there outlets indoors or outdoors for customer use?

Hi, KK! We do not have outlets for the public. Please bring that laptop charged charged charged!…

We had an incredible time--the food, drinks, and hospitality were all fantastic. Medium & Large Plates: Joseon Style Bossam, Bulgogi French Dip Sandwich, KFC Wings (messy--don't wear white and ask for wet wipes), and the Kongguksu. Note on the Kongguksu: it has a slight kick, so skip it if you/kids can't handle a bit of spice. Dessert & Drinks: The Fuji Apple Eggrolls were ok--the standout sweet bite was actually the Gochugaru Peanut Brittle (made with soy and chili, perfectly sweet-savory) for the hn-Joo Platter. For non-alcoholic drinks, I tried all three and I liked the canned Milkis best, while everyone else loved their cocktails and wine. Inside is modern and stylish with a long, narrow layout, decent seating, and a few TVs over the bar. Great for dates or groups up to about 15. Eddie, the manager, was kind enough to set us up in the back section to accommodate our party of 13. Since it was hot out, I asked about A/C and he assured us it'd be the coolest spot, though it ended up a bit warmer than expected. It was also near the back supply/storage area so there was a faint odd smell, but on the plus side, noise levels were low enough for easy conversation. For parking, there's street metered parking or a paid lot behind the building. The service is what truly locks in 5 stars. From managing our large party reservation to the splitting of the final check, the entire staff--from host to waiter--was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. If you enjoy spicy food and like kimchi, this dish definitely has a nice kick to it. However, for the price of $25, personally, I don't think it's worth ordering again. That's just my opinion, though, because everyone has different preferences. I also ordered the Cheesesteak Sandwich. The meat was very tender and practically melted in your mouth, which I really enjoyed. The only thing I didn't like was the bread--it was a little too thick for my preference and didn't seem to go well with the meat. It also made the sandwich a bit messy and sloppy to eat. Other than that, the flavor and quality of the meat were great. The aesthetics of the restaurant were awesome, and the atmosphere was nice. We went on a Saturday night, and there were only a couple of other guests dining at the time, so it wasn't too crowded. Customer service was great! Our server was on point and gave us a helpful rundown of the menu. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would definitely recommend checking this place out and trying a few of their unique dishes.

This "sandwich speakeasy" is tucked in the back room of a Highland Park liquor store, but the ambitious deli lineup includes some of the city's best sandwiches. Outside, you'll see a worn neon sign reading "Coldest Beer in Town". Walk through the slightly worn beverage displays, past stacked cases of Liquid Death, industrial fridges of local IPAs, and ceiling-high shelves of liquor and spirits, to the cramped sandwich operation in the back. A letterboard menu is organized on the off-white plaster wall, underneath a neon sign depicting the red cartoon table logo. Additional sandwich specials are doodled onto a tiny chalkboard behind the checkout counter. Maroon metal patio furniture is organized underneath sweeping umbrellas along the muraled brick exterior out front. The best of the sandwiches are total bops. The "Jeff's Special" Reuben features the perfect ratio of uber-rich cheese, melt-in-your-mouth pastrami, and panini-pressed rye; I only wish the meat itself packed some more seasoning. The Dirty Baby was just as satisfying. The decadent one-two punch of gouda and turkey salad more closely resembled a hearty bolognese than a deli sandwich. The thick-cut challah admirably withstood the 20-minute drive home. Other items were less memorable. The Hainan-Style Turkey Salad was slapped onto a dull hamburger bun-esque roll. While I enjoyed the diverse crispy textures, from the fried garlic to the arugula to the cucumber, the turkey salad itself was mostly flavorless. Similarly, the Thai Peanut Mac Salad was exciting in texture but plain in taste -- the celery was more prominent than the green curry aioli. The service was extra friendly, and the sandwiches run $15-16 each, relatively affordable by LA standards. While some of the sandwiches could compete for the title of best in LA, other dishes were duds. I won't go out of my way to schedule a visit during Jeff's Table's limited lunch hours, but I would certainly pay them a return visit if I'm already in the neighborhood.

Unfortunately, the service has been consistently disappointing. Every time I visit, the staff seems uninterested, bothered, or inconvenienced by customers. There's rarely a warm greeting when you walk in, no welcoming energy, and often it feels like you're interrupting someone's day just by asking a question or placing an order. I understand that everyone has difficult days, and working in the restaurant industry isn't easy. But hospitality is a huge part of the dining experience. A simple smile, eye contact, a "hello," or making customers feel welcome goes a long way. The food deserves praise, but the service does not match the quality of what's coming out of the kitchen. Management may want to spend some time retraining and refocusing staff on customer service and hospitality. Customers should feel appreciated, not like they're a burden. I truly want to see this place succeed because Highland Park needs good local businesses, and the food is excellent. But after several visits with the same experience, I felt it was worth sharing honest feedback. Great food brings people in; great service keeps them coming back. I hope management takes this as constructive criticism and works to create a more welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the door.

I've been here twice and on the first visit, it took awhile to get seated. We came again this month and was happy to see it seems they expanded their indoor dining to have a whole other room able to seat more diners on busy weekends! I'm usually a light brunch eater, but if you're going here, you have to order the Mexican food staples. My boyfriend loves their breakfast tacos (super hearty, 2 would be enough but a 3rd was taken home). Super generous portion with their cooked meat on top - SO good (classic bacon, or their mole and barbacoa). The Chipotle chilaquiles were absolutely delicious! I've never had an authentic Chipotle sauce taste like that... super creamy, and homemade, not overtly smoky like you usually have at other places. We also had their cafe de olla cold brew (since it was a hot summer heat wave), and it was good - classic with their cafe de olla spices - but I'm sure their classic hot cafe de olla is even better. I believe I've gotten their other regular brunch items, but wish I just opted for their Mexican favorites since that's their bread and butter here. Great business. Great service. Love to support!
