I got there pretty early on a Saturday, before 10am, and it wasn't busy yet, so I got my pick of seating, which is comfy and quaint. I went for The Jaffe, which is their homemade tuna salad sandwich. The tuna salad was quite good, but I wish the bagel had been more toasted, giving it a crispier finish instead of being chewy. Also ordered a cup of coffee, and they keep it simple there with just drip. It was a decent brew but they didn't fill it up all the way probably assuming I wanted to add milk. I wasn't completely wowed by the experience like I'd hoped, but I'd definitely give it another try.

Friendly staff! Quick service! Spicy chicken parm 10/10! Sat outside but there's seating inside as well! The pastry's were calling my name! I might have to come back for the olive oil cake!

Was delighted to see the infamous Ggiata Deli open up in Echo Park! The new location is gorgeously decorated and situated perfectly. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I loved feeling the sense of community surrounding this new opening. The Turk sandwich was good, definitely missing some acidity to balance the rich turkey and dressing, but the bread was delicious and the ingredients tasted fresh. I was asked by a server if I wanted any sauces and I obliged. Unfortunately, I never received my buffalo sauce during the 15-20 minutes I dined in, which was disappointing as this may have helped combat that richness in the sandwich. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

We absolutely love Ggiata and we're so excited to see a location open up in Echo Park that we can walk to. This location though really was a vibe. When we first walked in we were greeted with smiling faces ready to help us. We were able to order and find a seat in less than ten minutes, and received our food shortly after that. We split a crispy chicken parm wrap which is our go to and it did not disappoint! This time we decided to try the arancini bites and they were so delicious!! The perfect temperature and so flavorful. A bag of chips and a half and half to complete the meal and we were happy campers. Special extra points for Michael Jackson playing the entire time we sat to eat.

What a delightful space to call home for a few minutes or longer if you wish to linger. Located next to Lassen's and just a few blocks from Echo Park Lake, this place is situated for to go picnic sandwiches at the lake or just a delightful meal in. There are a number of countertop spots for solo diners or 6-7 indoor tabletops and a few more sidewalk tables to nosh in comfort. I'm still waiting on my sandwiches to come out of the kitchen so I'll review those later, but so far this place is a delightful looker. Welcome to Echo Park!

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! PS the kid loved theirs and so did the hub. Thanks for making dinner: easy and delicious! There are no pictures because it was too delicious to take the time out and take any. Just order.

Our server Abby was friendly and helpful but not over the top- just right. The owner was lovely and brought the food to us . We had the baguette with butter (amazing), the ricotta dumplings (star of the show), lettuce salad (best I've ever had), asparagus, and the short rib pasta which we didn't care for. But overall everything was delicious and wonderful!

The salad was way too overpriced for the portion size and there wasn't anything special about it. Maybe other than the snap peas were slightly charred? The beef tartare was okay. I think if the toast was not as thick, the flavor would be more balanced. The char on the toast was the main flavor. The ricotta dumplings were the best thing we ate that night, mostly because of the broth. It was equally light and full bodied, I could've had an entire bowl of the broth to myself! The ricotta dumplings were good but definitely needed the broth to complete it. Otherwise, it was just okay on its own. The dish comes with two dumplings. The half chicken was good. The charr on the chicken was perfect. The chicken breast was on the dry side though. The salad was more on the bitter side and it lingered. I liked that the bread was mixed in the salad and soaked up the chicken juice. I think there is room for improvement in terms of the food quality. The pricing definitely doesn't make sense. Half a chicken was only $5 more than the ricotta dumplings?? Idk. $21 for 5 endive leaves, snap peas, maybe a quarter of an avocado... the most overpriced item on the menu for sure.

This place does wood-fired pizzas on a fluffy, chewy sourdough crust that honestly hits different from your typical LA pizza spot. You order up at the window, and I appreciate how patient the workers were in answering our questions & taking our order. My friend and I got the Good Boy - house tomato sauce, pepperoni, fresh basil, and burrata finished with Mike's Hot Honey. The sweet and tangy kick from the hot honey against the creamy burrata is such a good combo! My friend and I surprisingly demolished the whole thing and were stuffed. One thing to note - it's takeout only, no seating, so most people eat in their car or take it to go. Parking-wise, there's a small lot in the plaza which is pretty compact (although I came on a Friday night and I didn't have much trouble). Street parking nearby is available and there are plenty of residential streets too if you run into any issues. Excited to come back to try their other pies!
