At last! An honest used car salesman!…read more Found a car I was interested in online, and called to see if it was still available and to get a sense of the dealer and the vehicle. Luay spoke with me and I was impressed by his frank appraisal of the car and general attitude. I showed up at 10 AM and Luay was ready with the key and had the car prepped and looking good. This car is a 2016 Honda Fit with just over 98k miles. It has some cosmetic imperfections, as any car that age does. But after a thorough test drive, i felt that this car would serve us well. Luay and I reached a deal quickly, and i drove the car home. I bought this car on the 9th, but wanted to give it some time in case any issues arose. None have, and I am super-pleased with our new vehicle. And even more -- this was one of my best ever dealings with a car dealer. When you're looking for a good used car, give Luay a call. His actions nearly lead to litigation. He denied a claim and refused to provide any substantial evidence to support that decision. If everyone at Honda were like Larry O'Brien, I would never have anything to do with the company. In addition, my contacting the main office in Torrance, California, was one of the most frustrating experiences I've had in a long time. I got such a runaround from them. I'm happy that I decided to go talk to Mr. Demetri. Fortunately, I think the problem will be resolved satisfactory due to him. Because it's not yet finished, I'm only giving four stars. From nightmare to my hero!!!…read more I recently had a car buying experience at Hanlees Hilltop Hyundai that started stressful and a feeling of being taken advantage of by misleading tactics and hidden contract costs. As a single parent and a caregiver for my elderly parents and my son with special needs, I was at their mercy to take care of me since I didn't have the time to take care of anything else. Well needless to say I was duped! I was so ready to walk away from the Hanlees group entirely. Everything changed when I got a call from Jim Totah, the Director of Sales Operations. Although the issue began at the Hyundai store, Jim is located at Hanlees Toyota, and the difference in management and atmosphere was night and day. From his very first message, I could hear a level of sincerity and kindness that reminded me of an uncle or a grandfather(someone who cared about me). He didn't treat me like a "sale" he treated me like a neighbor. He understood my hesitation to return to the Hyundai location and graciously met me at the Toyota dealership instead to ensure I felt safe and comfortable.
