He's the consummate professional, excellent work ethic, and absolutely knowledgeable and competent. Eran is so awesome and accommodating. He seems ready and eager to work for & with you, and he made himself available as best he could with me. Even though it's clear from his website the area range he covers, and that he's open to go even further (for, in my opinion a small additional charge), he went extra far for me; and furthermore he's always ready seemingly at a moments notice (which won't always be the case, of course, but shows that as long as he's available, he'll jump to work with you [reflective of how awesome service & work ethic he has])! The extra (again, for an small [IMO] additional charge) he was wonderful in considering for me was even as far as a used car dealership in Roseville! Just FYI, for him Gilroy is too far (haha, had to try, because he's awesome and I was desperate for the car, so for him to). And he works hard to make it that his customers don't have to do anything additional, and that he'll take care of it all -- he doesn't expect you to meet him there (although you have the option; he offered/was-open for me to be there to do it with him, but since the dealerships were like 40+ miles out, I opted not to), or to meet with him beforehand, or even afterward; you can correspond and coordinate just text and/or phone. If anything, you just might have to call the dealership and give them a heads up (telling them the time and Eran's name & business). He goes out, takes the car for about an hour, and checks everything. But beyond that (and what I mean about excellent work ethic and consummate professional) is that he documents it all (photos on top of his notes), and he goes in, around, and even under the car and looks at all the nook and cranny of all the car parts & aspects. He took plenty of photos of anything remarkable of the car (dents, paint deterioration, oil/grease stains [underhood of the car], interior issues, etc.). He has a whole form with a checklist that checks ranging from fluids to condition of belts to lights working to hoses to condition of the tires & brakes and the rest; even takes note if there's a spare tire & wheel jack. Of course he hooks up his OBD tool to check for any codes. Then he sends you the report with all of his findings, gives you a call to talk it all over and he gives his impression, then you send payment -- he's really cool about payment and states "however you want to pay"; Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash, Check, whatever. He gave me the impression that I wanted him to be my own mechanic; so I even asked him. And it's a credit to him to have replied that, to keep professionalism and can't claim exploitation, he doesn't do both (PPI and mechanic). He is on the high end of what you might estim8 ($180; more if you send him outside his normal area/range [I don't believe more than $200]), but I was happy to spend that on him. I'm a novice with cars (general knowledge enough, but not enough to be able to identify whether car parts are in good order and/or would last or not), so I wasn't confident in my ability to buy my first used car. I used him twice (would have been three times, but Gilroy was too far away). In the end, the used car I got has worked great for the last 6 months. And he saved me from buying an amazing car (high end Hyundai; $3k) but in such under-the-hood horrible shape that it would've been 3x the cost of the price just to repair everything -- which is proven when I saw the listing remain for 2 whole months and priced reduced twice down to I believe $2800! After it all, I brought my used car to 2 mechanics after him, and they confirmed 4 out of the 6 concerns he had -- which, granted, it's not like Eran has a car lift and a whole lot of time to thoroughly check as much as a mechanic with a garage would. He mistook cosmetic blemishes on the serpentine belt and the brakes as old age and maybe needing to be replaced -- which didn't end up being the case. But he did get the transmission deficiencies, signs on a certain valve gasket, parking brake, and other aspects right on the mark. I can't say good enough things about him! I was only able to feel confident enough to buy the really old used car that was in my budget because of him. And it's been nothing but a success! 6 months later, after taking care of the issues and potential concerns Eran noted, the car has not given any problems (that could have been foreseen; it still is a really old car so some things are bound to have come up organically) -- proving how much Eran and SafeBuy is really stellar and impeccable! If you're not the best with cars, you can absolutely trust Eran and SafeBuy; as much as you can trust his willingness, commitment, integrity, experience.

I'm pretty confident I've paid an arm and a leg for having my flat tire fixed before, so I was really really happy at how quick and effortless it was. I didn't see any cars before me, so maybe that contributed to the speed, but it was genuinely less than ten minutes. You can't ask for more than that in my opinion, this will be my go-to recommendation for flat tires.

BE AWARE: Toyota of Berkeley's I-80 Junction service center charges an additional 3% fee if you…read moredon't pay in cash. This was not disclosed when I dropped off my car. I only discovered it when I arrived to pick it up... after the work was already completed. At that point, I had no real choice. They had my car, I'd arrived via Uber, and there was no practical way to go withdraw $800 cash from the ATM at that time of day even if I could get to one. I was effectively stuck. The repair itself (replacing an oxygen sensor) cost about $800, which already felt high. A quick Google check shows the typical range is $300-$600. The part itself costs about $200 for the genuine Toyota part and my statement says that they took 1.5 hours to complete the work so labor accounts for the remaining $600 of cost which means I paid $400/hour here. On top of that, I was charged another 3% simply for paying by card. For those doing the math, it's true, $25 more isn't a fortune. But the issue is the lack of transparency and the feeling of being squeezed for every dime with no way out. Fees like this should be clearly disclosed upfront, verbally and prior to the work being done... not quietly added when the customer no longer has options. To make matters worse, the repair took three days, despite being promised it would be completed in one. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision. There are many reputable Toyota mechanics in the Bay Area who do quality work without surprise fees, and keeping your car for 3 days for 1.5 hours of work. I'll be taking my business to literally any of them going forward.

When I dropped off my car, I was told it would be ready around 12:30-1:00 p.m. and that I'd receive a call when it was done. I decided to stick around the area. At 1:00 p.m., after waiting two hours, I walked back to check on the status and found that they hadn't even started working on my car. When I told them I was leaving, the employee suddenly asked if I could wait another 10-15 minutes because he could "start it now". So frustrating. My scheduled appointment meant absolutely nothing until I complained and I was not interested in a rushed oil change... If your business can't honor appointment times, don't offer appointments. Respect your customers' time. I would not recommend taking your business here. I certainly won't be back.

I have read the previous comments regarding Hill Top and seriously cannot believe it. I would not go anywhere else after my experience there. I have not bought a new vehicle in years and must have forgotten how difficult it is to purchase the vehicle you want. My wife and I needed a truck, simple right. Apparently not, we went through several and by several I mean at least 5 dealers who did not want to help us and only wanted to sell us whatever they had on the lot. This was not acceptable. We knew what we wanted and for the money, we wanted what we wanted, not what was "left over" on the lot and that they needed to sell. I became so frustrated with the lack of help, I went online and logged into several sites. Not something I like to do, however, my frustration level had reached boiling. I received a phone call immediately from Jason Boggs at Hill Top. I have to tell you now, why I was first impressed with Hill Top. Jason was the only one who was proactive in calling me back. I know he wants to sell a vehicle, which at this point is what I want as well and have failed to find a dealer that is even willing to work with us. I then spoke with him and explained my situation, lack of helpful dealers, vehicle requirements, cost, etc. Jason told me to come in and spent literally all day with me searching for vehicles. And guess what, we didn't have to settle; in fact he schooled me on several options I had not considered. Not anything that had occurred thus far with any dealer or sales person. Moreover, he did not once try to sell me anything on his lot because he had it and it would be easier for him. He was patient and NEVER tried to talk me into anything. So, long story short he found us our truck, the color we wanted, the interior we wanted, the options we wanted and most of all, the price we wanted. We actually made out because of his suggestions and knowledge of the product. Things we did not consider or overlooked during our research of the vehicle. I understand the role of the car dealer; I also understand the overall goal of any dealership, to make money. I could not believe after three weeks of looking for something as easy as a truck and I was not getting anywhere. Jason absolutely made this easy. He kept in contact with me, he kept me informed, and he was more than gracious to my wife who ultimately went in by herself to finalize the deal because I was out of town on business. Overall my experience there was Five Stars. I cannot say thank you enough Jason. I will definitely buy there again......... One more thing, when I owned a Jeep, Hill Top was the only gig in town for service. I never had an issue there for the three times I brought my Jeep in for service and repairs....... read more

This place is a joke and everyone thats employed there. You have salesmen lying, ripping off customers, sharing customers personal information with other customers and ive smelled weed on a few salesman and in a car that i drove on a test drive. We got the so called finance manager/salesman Jp/Joseph, runs his mouth about everybody including his co-workers. Jp was talking about another customer to me, Big Rick. He went on talking about the Dodge Dart Big Rick purchased around December and how the store supposedly had a glitch in the system which made customers think they could purchase a 2015-2016 Dodge Dart with a monthly payment of $350. But once the customer left with the car suddenly the sysytem was up and the customer would have to bring more money towards the down payment plus the pauments would go up. He went on about Big Rick not have go credit, he ddn't have a job so he needed proof of income , something he knew Rick couldn't produce. Then there was Markeisha, someone i haven't seen in years. She purchased a car with a monthly payment for close to $700, something that she couldn't afford. JP went on telling me how stupid Markeisha was for buying a car then quitting her job a week later. Keep in mind I still haven't seen this girl but someone that calls himself a manager is telling a customers business and obviously he doesnt care. I could go on and on talking about other customers. I can give names for the co-workers he has talked about but it wouldn't be fair to say names but ill give hints. There's a salesman that pops pills and speed in his coffee, theres one that sale a little of this and that, hell there;s other manager that was getting his nose dirty every now and then not anymore from what I heard. I can keep going but Ill save everything else for there proper authority. So people make sure Hilltop Jeep isn't still running your months after your visit and if you see anything then you can thank big mouth JP/Joseph for that read more

Bottom line Up Front: Hilltop Way tried to way over changed me. They were only to provide vague answers Suggestions: Try to avoid dealerships unless under warranty. Hilltop Dodge will severely overcharge for parts. Received a postcard in the mail for an airbag recall, brought my van in and while I was there I asked them to check out a jerking sound I've been hearing when shifting from first to second. They checked it out and said it would need a new cooling fan and would take a week to get the part and that the torque converter may need to be replaced. This was Friday, I waited a week and called to check on the progress. Ray, told me the part was there and it would be ready on Tuesday. So I waited to call Monday, Ray told me I'd need to wait to talk to Gus, the part wasn't there and no one's been assigned to work on it (he just told me the part was there). On Wednesday, 12 days after I dropped it off Gus my service advisor sent me a text stating I need a new transmission and quoted me $8,900 for the part, this doesn't even include labor. then when I called my service advisor was gone and I'd have to wait, then I was told I needed a new transmission and it would cost $9,000. I called around and spoke with c & e auto and truck repair, they told me it should be about $4,000 for a new transmission, and what hilltop was quoting me was WAY to high, they answered all my questions, as opposed to hilltop, which could only give me vague, "could be but we'll have to see" answers and then said they can't help me but know a good place who can, I called that place and they said they would do a diagnostic for free. read more

I was in the market for a new vehicle. While traveling on vacation, I was able to try the Jeep Patriot. It was a nice drive and I loved the blue color. When I got back, the vehicle I was using wasn't running because of the battery. It was 8 years old so it was time for a new vehicle anyway. My husband and I stopped by the Hilltop Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership. I wanted to show him what the Jeep Patriot looked like. As we started looking at the one they had on the lot this nice young man, John Thompson, approached us and asked if we wanted to take a test drive. We did so and he asked us the normal questions. He was very laid back and extremely pleasant. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle. After the test drive we went to his office and he was giving us information on the vehicle and mentioned the Jeep Compass was similar. We then went outside to check out the Compass. Although we didn't plan on test driving the Compass, I'm glad we did. I found the vehicle more like a sedan but it was an SUV. The Compass is like a combination of the Cherokee and the Patriot. Needless to say I ended up buying the Compass the same afternoon. Mr. Thompson was an honest, down to earth, and genuinely nice person. I have to say the entire experience was 5 stars. All the wonderful people at the dealership made us feel comfortable and treated us like we were the only customers in the dealership. I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Tony Morse here, and the experience was great. I'm a tough customer for big purchases; I did a lot of research and contacted just about every Jeep dealer in Northern CA, as I was planning on building a vehicle from the factory and leasing it. Out of all of them, I got a lot of responses, but they were all automatic with very little actual information, offering me bad prices. I got about 4 decent responses back from all dealers, of which Hilltop was one. After talking on the phone with a few of them, Tony was the only one of *any* of the dealers willing to go into the pricing specifics with me, and go over all of the numbers. I had a few questions, and a few things not quite right, but he was able to work with me and actually explain quite literally everything, which no other dealer was willing to do. It got complicated enough that Tony had Piyom, the sales manager jump in and answer a bunch of questions for me too. On top of that, they gave me a fantastic deal (equal or better to anyone else I had talked to, I emailed 25 dealerships, talked to about 10 dealerships personally, and 4 very seriously). I've had a few issues with the car since, and while I unfortunately live far enough away that it's not reasonable for me to take it in for service, they always care and are willing to get me in if I can make the trip. I've got a few issues with Chrysler's customer care, but if you're going to buy a Chrysler vehicle in Northern CA, this is definitely the dealership to use. read more

I'm so happy that words can't explain I was having trouble with my 2012 Dodge Challenger SXT. As I was leaving the service department I ran into sells specialist Ty Wade and sales manager Leon they where able to put in me in 2017 Dodge Challenger shaker which I thought was never possible. They helped me get out of a bad car to get in a dream car in a matter of two days. They teamed up and took important time out there Day to assist me. I'm so thankful for there collective effort. And forever thankful I can't believe that they took me in there office in one day and made this possible l. I never in my life received this type of service. They took the customer concerns as if it was there own. They where actively involved in satisfying me on all levels they sat down and discussed what would be best for the customer instead of the company. I can tell you personally that the sales department and management department are excellent and I will refer them to family and friends for the rest of my life thank you Guys so much and Brandon Scott was a major help in the financing department he worked extra hard satisfying me with the new loan these guys are the best at what they do I will not deal with any one else if I had a choice. I fled from Napa Chrysler, mad as hell after being tricked -- to the Michael Stead Richmond Chrysler on Hilltop expecting a worse dump and it was quite the refreshing opposite. The place was a palace by comparison and a gentleman named Buzz opened the door for me and quickly reversed my "ready to shred" mood. He was cool as a cucumber, wore Maui Jim's and could care less if I bought from him just sad that I got screwed by the Napa dealership. The trust returned to my body. I thoroughly enjoyed the staff, the leather couches and the fresh and free krispy kremes for much needed nourishment after a long 2 weeks of "cash for klunkers' hell project -- but alas, though I was not quick enough to get the KILLER deal due to my klunker not being ready in time, due to Buzz's coolness in cooling me off, I bought the 2009 Jeep Liberty right off the showroom floor so they didn't have to walk around it anymore to get to their offices. Nice job gentlemen. I was on the warpath when I arrived and the fact that you turned me around, now that is skill. I'm enjoying "buzzing around" in my new ride thoroughly. Merci Buzz! Glad to buy American again after cashing in my 263,000 mile Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (go Jeep!) klunker for the BIG BUCKS. I don't think I ever even tuned her up. A truly fantastic service department. Over the last two years I have used the service departments at FOUR different RAM dealerships. Hilltop is without a doubt the best in the Bay Area. Byron, Erlinda, and the entire service team went above and beyond. Really fantastic service, excellent communication, excellent speed for the actual repair, intelligent decision making, skilled workmanship, and just downright kindness. I have a RAM Promaster and the vehicle has been very well maintained. But issues arise like they sometimes do. Other dealerships in the Bay Area have really fallen short and Hilltop has come through! Another dealership did the same EXACT job and it took the OTHER place a MONTH. Hilltop did it in 8 hours from beginning to end. They communicated along the way. They had the parts in stock. They were kind, courteous, and professional. They even brought me onto the shop floor and showed me the status. Everything was truly exceptional. Not only will I bring my RAM Promaster back to Hilltop, I am now inclined to BUY other RAM/Jeep/Chrysler products in the future because I know I will get the repair service RIGHT the first time. Their technicians, who I spoke with, seemed professional and knowledgeable. The shop looked large, organized, and clean. The entire operation exudes professionalism. So lucky to have found them. Hilltop Jeep is without a doubt, the very best car dealership I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I live in Marin, and there is another fine Jeep dealership nearby, but the people and the experience at Hilltop is so amazing, that I drive the extra 45 minutes across the bay. Yesterday I bought a grand Cherokee and once again, the team exceeded my expectations. I was fortunate enough to meet Dino on my last visit, and he really took care of me again yesterday. Dino is all about customer service and understands how to make the experience memorable. It is clear that Dino cares about the customer, and yesterday was no exception, as Dino wanted to be certain that I was comfortable about my purchase. The entire team at Hilltop is exceptional. The service department is equally focused on customer experience and I have always had great experiences. I recently purchased a jeep from Hilltop Chrystler. I had been shopping for a jeep for about 3 weeks prior to contacting them about a new Smoky Mountain edition that they had on their lot. I had endured lots of car salesman antics and was so frustrated that I was about to go to a dealership in Portland that seemed to be selling their new jeeps at a more competitive price than the California dealers. As one list ditch effort, I contacted Hilltop and spoke with their sales manager Greg Smith. Greg was awesome! He was very straight forward, and we were able to get a deal worked out within 30 minutes on the phone. He was also nice enough to hold the vehicle for me, without even requiring a deposit. I live about an hour away, so they arranged to pick me up at the Amtrack station the next day. One of their salesmen, Dino, was there to pick me up when the train arrived. He was also amazing to work with, very knowledgeable about the jeep and a super-sweet no pressure demeanor. Once we got to the dealership after our test drive, they were very efficient and had all of my paperwork done really quickly. This is by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I am planning on getting a truck in a few years and will definitely be back to see Greg and Dino! read more

I have just read about 10 reviews and I wonder if they are talking about the same service department that I have patronized for the last 6 years. It was their service department that kept my business! I have always made appointments for service prior to bringing in my 2005 PT Cruiser. Only once in those 6-years did they fail to accomplish the work contracted in the time frame they committed to do. A part was on B/O from the Mfg. The work was completed the following week when the part arrived. My last visit was yesterday when I was to drop off my vehicle for one of my lifetime FREE oil changes on Friday. (Haven't missed a one! Every 3,000 mi.) I arrived about 3:30 Thursday and asked Jeremy to ask the mechanics to get my car done as early as possible Friday, as I had taken a day of vacation and wanted to play golf . He asked me to wait a moment and when he came back, asked if I would mind waiting while they did the oil change right then and there! i went to this dealer yesterday afternoon, 8/6 for their great car selection i saw on there website. hilltop dodge had my dream car a dodge challenger str8 yellow jacket. as soon as i walked around the lot i was greeted by a man named dino marraccini. he was very knowledgeable about the cars and very professional. we went on a test drive the car drove like a dream, i knew this car was for me. i was a serious buyer and the general manager greg smith gave a solid deal on it. greg was friendly and welcoming. i had shopped around for the previous last week and at other dealers the general managers hid however greg welcomed conversation. i was thrilled with the care i received all around. all the paperwork was smoothly done by andy jones, he made it effortless i was very impressed with the efficiency from him. very excellent customer service. next dino filled up my gas tank and hooked up my cellphone to my car and went over the features. the amount of time and help was key to why i will refer everyone i know to this dealer. in a few years i will definitely come back in my str8 and spend more money. great job guys! i love my new toy !!! thank you for your business! 5/5. stars the combination of the three guys was as good as it gets ! read more

Over the past month i had been looking of a pre-owned car that was affordable for me. I had been to almost all of the Hilltop Dealerships and then one day about 3 weeks ago i decided to stop by the Hilltop Dodge dealership. As soon as i got out of my car I was greeted with a smile by their Salesman Brian Columbia. I was a kind of confused as to what i was really looking for because I'm a first time buyer. But over the past 3 weeks we have been working together as to what i can afford and while on the phone with him the other day he remembered that they had JUST gotten in the car that Brian felt was perfect for me. So I went over and test drove it and then today I became the owner of a beautiful 2008 Chrysler Sebring Touring Convertible with only 72K on it and I couldn't be happier with it. Brian and his co-workers went above and beyond to help me out and I think he should get employee of the month if not more for that. I really appreciate how patient they were with me and the next time i am in the market to buy another vehicle Im most likely going to do business with Brian. I prefer to lease cars, since it is nice to have a new car every few years, and my husband and I have leased several cars at a few different dealerships in the Bay Area. This month, we leased a Jeep specifically from Hilltop's Sales Manager, Piyom Ghavimi, who provided the BEST service that we have EVER had while leasing a vehicle. From the first e-mail and phone call, Piyom was personable, genuine, and diligent. He worked hard to ensure that the process of choosing and financing the car was a smooth and seamless process, and he went above and beyond, so that I could drive off in a vehicle that had everything I wanted. Also, since I am an animal lover, it was an added bonus that Piyom also shared some great stories about his dog:-) This helped the overall experience for both my husband and myself, as we definitely felt comfortable knowing that we were dealing with a sincere individual, not someone who was trying to "work" us or pull sketchy maneuvers, which has happened in the past at other Bay Area dealerships. Dave Holt - Internet and Fleet Manager I called Hilltop Dodge and they put Dave on the phone. I told Dave what I was looking for and he did not have one on the lot! I was looking for a Ram 1500 Crew Cab, with a hard to find color! To my suprise, Dave called me back a little later, and said he found one! He sent me all the details on it, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I called Dave back and said get it on your lot and I will come and look at at. Dave got it on his lot! He traded the other Dealer for it. Dave did all the leg work himself! Guess What? I have a New Ram 1500 Crew Cab Truck. Got the Truck and Color I was looking for, Thanks to Dave. Dave kept calling me and keeping me up to date on everything. Also got a Great Price on it!!!!! Beautiful Truck, I Love It!!!!!!! Yesterday I called Momentum Dodge Jeep Ram to inquire about trading up my wife's 2015 Jeep Sport. The salesman that I spoke too was sarcastic rude and obnoxious. Then I called Hilltop and spoke with Ruben Gutierrez. What a difference. I'm sure there's no need to tell which dealership I went to. To add to my being treated with respect I was also treated to a few nice surprises. First, when my wife and I bought our Jeep Sport back in 2015, we got bought at 16.9 today I was bought at 4.74. To make mattes even BETTER, the payments on my wife's loaded, High Altitude 4x4 with a panoramic moonroof costs us .20 CENTS more than the base stripper Sport model did per month, terms being the same with ZERO out of my pocket. I didn't get a chance to commend my sales facilitator to his manager, but if the GM every reads this post. You've got and excellent sales consultant on your hands. Friendly, professional and a straight up no bs type of guy. His name is Ruben Gutierrez. Thank you Ruben for being such a no pressure, easy to work with salesman. Just wanted to share my positive experience at Hilltop Ram in Richmond CA. New customer to them and I am new to the country so was refreshing to have great help with my 2021 Ram. I initially had the car serviced which was great. Matthew Silva was very professional and helpful. The car developed some noises/drivetrain issues some time later. I dropped the vehicle off and it was diagnosed very quickly and Matt and the spare parts crew had it all organised in short order. Matt always followed up with great communication and a very balanced view of the situation. Matt was not there on one occasion and Gus (another advisor) stepped in without hesitation to help out. If these two are anything to go by I would highly recommend Hilltop. I am from the automotive industry in Australia and know the pressures the dealership experience can bring. Matts communication made life much easier as we have 2 young children and need a car for school drop offs. Again I couldn't recommend Matt,Gus and Hilltop enough. Great place because of the good people who work there. I usually go to the San Jose location but my wife had an emergency two weeks ago while in Richmond, my 2018 Chrysler started smelling like burning oil. She called and had a conversation with Gus who invited her to come by so they can have a look. she waited at the dealership and within a couple hours, they found a leak. Gus showed so much care and respect for my wife and told her and me that the car is not safe to drive and needs immediate attention. I so much appreciate the concern and care the service department have showed me and my wife. He gave us a reasonable estimate, checked that they have the parts in stock and promised to have the repair finished on Monday. Gus called me on Monday and followed up on the repair until it was completed. He had my wife picked up from work and she picked up the car fully repaired. I cannot say enough about how this positive experience makes me and my wife feel about this dealership. i recommend the service department to anyone and will be back to see Gus. read more
