We traveled from LA to run the Santa Barbara half marathon in Solvang. I wanted to get a hotel that had EV charging and this has plenty of chargers. The hotel was reasonably priced for the event and close to restaurants. The rooms were very clean and quiet, we will stay there again next year for sure. Thank you for taking care of us! read more

Came here last Winter for a soccer tournament for my son. Several of the players' families stayed here. Right upon check in, I felt like the service was excellent. All of the staff that we encountered during our stay were wonderful. The hotel was clean, and offered lots of amenities available. Unfortunately the air conditioning in the room was very loud and the temperature gage was difficult to control. We couldn't drop it below 68° at night. We had lunch with some teammates' families in the restaurant in the lobby. Service, again, was good but the food was meh. I got the carne asada tacos but the meat tasted like it was chuck roast. The drinks were good though. There was a decent variety. I'd probably stay here again, as I am unaware of a plethora of options in Lompoc. But hopefully it won't be in the Summer because the room temperature could get dicey. read more

First time staying here for 1 night. Room was very clean. THANK YOU, Alberta G. The thick glass windows kept room comfortable from loud fireworks I could see from the distance. It was 4th of July. Hotel food was delicious & Davey, our server made our dining experience a pleasant one. Ok, what I wish can improve. The water pressure on our shower was Weak. We were on the 4th floor. We had breakfast there the next morning. We were told the restaurant was short staffed. The food was delicious but I noticed they needed Extra hot coffee dispensers for a very busy morning. There was No labels for which coffee was Decaf or caffeinated. One employee told my husband which one was decaf. I tasted it. It was Not decaf. ‍ I would like to come back stay again. Great experience with the Hilton Garden Inn Lompac. We had an issue with our reservation booked through a third party (never book with a third party). However, Angelica, went above and beyond to help us out and get it resolved. She was so professional, helpful and truly cared. The world needs more employees like Angelica! This is exactly what I look for when traveling for work. The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff was very nice throughout my stay. Check in and check out were a breeze, and they were ready for my arrival. The rooms themselves are very spacious, with plenty of room to spread out. They also had extra pillows in the room if needed. I really appreciated the black out curtains, which helped me get sleep while working overnight hours. The attached restaurant is also a plus for when you don't want to go out and get food. Ok just a quick update. We made a mistake this time around by not staying here as we usually do when visiting Lompoc. We stayed at another location which had really bad service at their restaurant so we just walked over to the Hilton garden inn for dinner. Didn't disappoint as usual. The pizza was nice and crispy, the jalapeños were fresh not pickled and spicy. We liked it very much. My wife also ordered a lemon drop Martini which was on point as usual. Thanks to Makayla for her attentive service as usual lol. I know she doesn't know us but she's been our waitress before. So yeah next time we will just stay here and if any of you have doubts don't, just stay here when in Lompoc.. see you soon. read more

Wow! What a GREAT Hilton Garden Inn! Wifey and I were displaced overnight due to the LA fires and this hotel came to the rescue! We piled our little black Shih Tzu into the car and drove the 2 hours to Lompoc. Everything from start to finish - the check-in, the room, the cleanliness, the beds, was top notch. Staff was marvelous. Exercise room was super clean. We were so well cared for. And guess what - we were able to leave our doggie in the room while we went out to eat. Stellar! We were on our way back to Los Angeles one night when fog surrounded us from the deserted hillside. Is Lompoc our choice of city to stay in? Not at all. Once we parked and checked in, all my worries went away. What you know about Lompoc might be true, but we didn't feel unsafe at all. The employees at the lobby were accommodating to us despite checking in at 2am. When we got to our room, it looked like the entire hotel was built last week. I had the opportunity to try out Hilton's conference room space and catering recently. It was such a great set-up! The hotel feels new and well designed. We were able to use the meeting space well, having a few tables set-up and the tech necessary to display a PowerPoint up on a screen. The food served during lunches was delicious- a full spread of various pizza choices and salad. They also kept us well stocked on coffee, tea, and water all day. I stayed here with my daughter while we were on a mini-vacation celebrating her birthday, and we had a really nice time. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth, and I was pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of all the employees I met. Our room was exceedingly clean, and I was grateful for this, especially during this time when everyone is still fearful of catching the COVID-19 virus. Not only was every corner of our room spotless, but I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel. In addition, the entire staff made sure to wear masks and they encouraged/enforced social distancing of all. Our room was equipped with two queen-sized beds, a nice flat-screen TV, a desk for folks here on business, a small refrigerator, a small microwave, a one-cup coffeemaker, a hair dryer, and several other necessities for folks staying here for business or pleasure. This hotel has several features to make all their occupants' stays more enjoyable. This hotel has free parking, free Wi-Fi, a clothes washer and dryer, an ice maker, and a nice pool area. The pool area includes a small outdoor pool, small jacuzzi, an outdoor shower near the pool, and several tables and chairs to relax and socialize while enjoying your time outside by the pool. This hotel also has an inviting snack shop and a pleasant dining area inside for folks that would prefer to pay for their dining while here in the hotel. Overall, I had a really pleasant visit, definitely worthy of 4 stars. As pleasant as my stay was here, unfortunately, there was just nothing to elevate this from 4 to 5 stars for me. I'm a Hilton Honors member and I have stayed in numerous Hilton hotels over the years. Admittedly, my expectations are high because I am used to being treated as a more valued guest due to my loyalty to Hilton. And although I had a very pleasant experience here, unfortunately, I received no perks or special treatment for being a frequent member of their program. Hopefully the management and the staff will improve this for their future Hilton Honors guests. Regardless, I would still highly recommend this hotel for folks planning to stay in the area. I called a couple weeks ago and asked if they had a room big enough for 3 adults and 3 kids. If not do you have 2 rooms available. They told me they had 2 rooms and so I proceeded to reserve them for the night. When I get to there, they tell me I only have 1 room, which was total opposite what they told me on the phone. So then the lady at the desk says it's okay we still have rooms available. She then asked if I wanted the breakfast package with both rooms and I said yes and told 3 adults and 3 kids. We'll I get to breakfast and they are like okay we have 2 adults and 3 kids, plus there service was horrible! It also smelled like sewage on the 4th floor! read more

Amazing!!!! We came around 10.30 pm Friday and the lounge area was full with guests. I was greeted by Roxy super nice front desk :) she was so helpful gave us few tips regarding our stay also explained policies about hotel ; our kids immediately fall in love with her. I wish there would be more people like her - earth would be better place. Rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Definitely coming back and staying here again at Hilton. read more

If you're planning a visit to Solvang, I highly recommend staying at this location if you have a car. The comfort and prices here are much better than those of the hotels in Solvang and Buellton. We were able to get a clean and quiet room that easily accommodated three people. The staff at this location is fantastic. They were all very friendly and helpful, especially Raul, who assisted us in charging our car via a wall outlet when the charging station was occupied for the entire night, and another was broken. This is my new favorite hotel in Lompoc! Our room was clean, and the bed was so comfortable. They put stickers on everything to indicate that it was sanitized for our protection. That gave me peace of mind, especially during the pandemic. They have a 24-hour store if you need a quick snack or a bottle of water. This restaurant is also the most popular in Lompoc. The staff is amazing. Everyone I spoke with was extensive and helpful. The pool was not heated at all. It was 65 outside and the pool was like ice. The room we had a suite but unfortunately the pull out couch bed was so uncomfortable for my young so e that we ended up with three people sharing the main bed. The couch bed he could feel the rods and springs when he laid on it. He tried for about and hour but it was just too much for him. The main bed was so hard my entire body hurt. If you like hard beds you will Love this one but if your body requires a little cushion you may need to reconsider. This was room 419. read more

We highly recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn in the Lompoc Valley. Check-in was seamless and welcoming. A BIG shout-out to Brianna who handled everything with courtesy, knowledge and friendliness. Even the GM Suraj took the time to greet us and offered his assistance should we need it. Our room was spotless, as was the property itself. The hotel amenities met all our needs and yet our overall experience exceeded our expectations. The hotel is centrally located and easy walking distance to the movie theatre, restaurants and more. But don't bother leaving the property if you want exceptional food at the in-house Valle Eatery + Bar. We enjoyed Happy Hour, dinner and breakfast on site and the bar options and delightful menu were outstanding. read more

We arrived very late thanks to a delayed flight and the wonderful woman checking us in not only helped us on the phone before we arrived, helped to add another room because more family joined us and she found two rooms right next to each other. She made the check in fast and gave us cookies! I think her name was Roc? So sorry if that's incorrect, but she was super helpful. The Hilton Garden Inn in Lompoc is a welcomed relief. The years of downtrodden and under-modernized hotel properties in the city of Lompoc has hampered its growth for new visitors. While one doesn't think of Lompoc as a vacation getaway it is a scenic stop before getting to the the hustle and bustle of the Santa Barbara valley and is a stone's throw from the Mid California draw of Santa Maria and Paso Robles featuring all sorts of wineries,breweries, and everything in between. We noticed the construction of the HGO last year while stopping in Lompoc. We dreamt of staying there one day in the future as we toiled at the Lompoc Inn and our friends were tortured at the Red Roof Inn Our dream was finally realized when we calmly walked into the lobby to a stunning property. The lobby has an open and inviting dinning-restaurant immediately to the right and the lobby is welcoming and cozy but very much business appropriate. There's a HUGE!, I mean it HUGE! Pool to the left of the lobby. On the far right, the restaurant patio contains a outdoor brick oven for pizzas. The elevators and overall layout make easy for any weary eyed traveler to navigate. There's no rat mazes here. The rooms are very modern and have all the creature comforts for relaxing or working away from home / office. Our room had an adjoining room. This wasn't an immediate issue but later it was as the conversation and noise was well annoying and too easily overheard. The downstairs restaurant has quite or vegetarian options and the menu itself is classic California but with a neo- modern twist. The good news for vegans is that some of the vegetarian dishes can be veganized. One particular item is the veggie sandwich. The non vegan item is the goat cheese. Simply ask the wait staff to have the sandwich prepared with the goat cheese. The ciabatta bread, verified as vegan was grilled to a soft char but the eggplant, squash, onions and the rest of the veggies was perfectly grilled and not soggy. The fries are also vegan but are your standard fare with nothing special about them If they had a dairy free cheese that could be used on sandwiches and pizzas it would a fantastic option for dairy free hotel patrons as well as vegan patrons. Imagine having a dairy free cheese pizza with fresh veggies made in that brick oven in the patio? HGI would be a trailblazer in hotel properties if they would be able to accommodate dairy free and vegan guests. My friend and I stayed here when we were in town for a wine pickup party. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they offer a free shuttle ride inside city limits, which was awesome. After checking into our room, we quickly changed for our wine party and the front desk called that the shuttle was out front waiting for us. They dropped us off and picked us up which was really nice. It's a great service. It's also pretty big, so it can fit a lot of people during busy season. The room was a good size and the beds were super comfy with soft sheets. I slept like a baby. The room was updated with nice amenities and a big flatscreen tv. We lounged in the room watching a movie and were super happy. We did not partake in the breakfast buffet--it was a little pricey and not including in the room we got. Having said that, it looked nice and there were several options, if it were included, I would have been happy with it. We had several people tell us that the restaurant was one of the best in town. We'll definitely have to try it the next time we are staying in Lompoc. The maid started knocking on our door to clean at 8:30 am, which was a downside, but we didn't have the "do not disturb" sign up either. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They even offered some 2-for-1 tasting cards for us at the ghetto. I wish they were dog-friendly because we usually bring our pup along with us when we visit wine country. This hotel would be hands down the best hotel in the area if we could bring our fur baby. Other than that, we loved this place and I would definitely come back. If you're looking a nice place to stay while you're in Lompoc, this is a great option. read more

First off the pictures you see on line are a lie this place is nothing like they look . But that's just the first so we go to check in and because we used an online booking agent they gave use rooms that smell they have a sewer issue and the smell is o we whelming so they put us right in the thick of it and when we got to the room there was a dirty wine glass waiting for us then we open the door to a trapped smell that we where suppose to sleep in .. what the what now we are headed back to the front desk to get a better room that doesn't smell like sewage the girls is smirking though accommodating us she knew that it smells down there and said she'd put us at the opposite end on the second floor needless to say the smell faded but still smelled so we get in the room the air comes on at some point in the middle of the night and it malfunctions I turn it off it's still coming on making a horrible rumbling noise all night so this morning my hubby tries to save the day by bringing coffee from Starbucks because we now don't trust the coffee maker in the room is clean so he goes down stairs to check out their coffee to heat up ours and learns that the 400.00 that we just spent on this subpar room their complementary breakfast is not included even thought their website said it was they wanted 12.00 for a bag of 2 hard boiled eggs 1/5 cup of milk for you box of shredded mini wheats , and your orange and last but not least you cup of Oreo yogurt .. what kinda of hotel is this I've stayed on the road in many places but being miss treated because you book on line is not acceptable by any means we paid 400.00 and they are treating us like our money doesn't count because we used booking.com So they put their customers that pay through them in better rooms and give them the breakfast in a bag .. what a joke I say go somewhere else that they treat you equally as good and give you the same treatment just because you are a paying costumer .. this place is not even close to what they advertise it has people on drugs all over no security either your on your own.. you can tell they've been instructed to put online shoppers in the bad rooms if their management didn't want online shoppers they should Not advertise on the remove the option to do so don't treat people booking on these sights like they aren't guest or we did pay to stay .. this is a horrible way to spend your time here don't waste it find somewhere else.. if I wasn't stuck paying I'd be out here in a heart beat. This place used to have a happy hour but that stopped. The drinks are overpriced and there are still about six places at the bar that are missing because they have plastic screens up in front. So between the prices, the lack of seating at the bar, and lack of happy hour in the city of Lompoc, I would definitely not recommend this place. It's a rare thing that I give one star for a place, however, my experience was not good! On the positive side, I liked the room I had here. It was not only clean, but well maintained. But that's about all I can write that is positive. From employees who did not wear masks, to an elevator that sounded like it could breakdown at any moment (I rode it to my room along with a Hilton Garden Inn employee whom I had a conversation with about said elevator. I said to him: "That doesn't sound good!" He replied: "Yeah, the thing has been known to breakdown. In fact, I believe it was this lift too!" All of this was shared as he was getting off and I was continuing up) to their computers that did not work the time of my stay, I was not pleased. Worst of all, was paying for the breakfast package and then being surprised by the encounter! The young man who was the host was very angry and disinterested in doing his job. The sign to the restaurant said: "Please wait to be seated." The host never offered that (We asked and he replied: "Yeah."). Worst still was the rude awaking: There was only one choice for breakfast Eggs: Poached, Scrambled or fried. Sausage and hash browns. Let the buyer beware that the breakfast package is no package at all and that they should look elsewhere. Our angry host did not clean our table, did not empty an overflowing waste basket, did not refill the self serve coffee bin (We got the last of it...barely), did not put out even juice (which others had). And when he brought over an apple and orange to our table, he carried them in his hand and put them on the unclean table. This was a highly offensive stay and we won't be back! read more

Was supposed to be the nicest most expensive spot in Lompoc. We even upgraded to a suite to be comfortable for 5 days with our kids. Place is a nightmare. Wifi is absolutely trash, our bath jets worked for 5 minutes the first night then stopped, we extended after day 2, only because we were getting reimbursed for the stay and wanted 1 reciept and not to have to be several places because covid, but they didnt give us new keys so we returned to being locked out of a back door carrying all our groceries. You have 1 job!!!! This place is trash and I would never spend money I was not getting back here. Also, hot water was terrible and zero mask enforcement. I kept running into people with their masks down every time I used the elevator or came and went. Update: manager said there is no law that people have to wear a mask. Apparently she hasn't heard of the statewide mandate.....or gone to a walmart or McDonald's. Apparently they hire very un......informed managers. She made me the bad guy and urged me to leave the hotel for requesting that their contracted guest from Air Liquide wear mask. Worst service ever. read more

Pleasantly Surprised! We took a mini getaway trip to Solvang, and needed a NICE comfortable place to stay for a night! ! I stumbled across this hidden Gem! Upon arriving I spoke with Dan- who was very courteous and a great Representation of the Hilton brand! Dan reassured me that we would be happy with our stay. He was absolutely right! The Hilton Garden Inn was exceptionally CLEAN! And well ran! Dan greeted me by introducing himself when I arrived!
