Tucked away in a rare isolated city on the California coast, the Embassy Suites was cozy and comfortable, with fantastic service from late check ins, and a made to order omelet bar that stayed open all the way to the end of the breakfast service. Rooms were well maintained. I love that the breakfast bar has non dairy creamer options, which was a wonderful touch. We unfortunately only stayed one night, but hopefully we will be back soon! read more

I just stayed here last night because we had a family gathering in Solvang. I had such a great experience at the Portland Embassy suites and thought all Embassy suites were the same. And sadly I am wrong. Not only did we drive extra 25 minutes out to Lompoc. I paid the $56 early check in and when I walked into my suite and opened the toilet I was surprised to see pee and toilet paper. Disgusting. Whatever I flushed it and cleaned the toilet with my handy Clorox wipes. Unpacked, went downstairs told the front girl what happened to me and she did attempt to write down what I said but instantly picked up the phone and asked me a few questions as she was on the phone. This threw me off because I wasn't sure if she was randomly pretending to pickup the phone or was answering a call and not saying anything but mouthing stuff to me. The phone never rang, unless she saw a massive light underneath hidden where no one can see except for her and thought the call was more important than my issue. Went back to my room and noticed two more things that I was not happy about. The shower water was not working properly and the ac does not shutoff. Breakfast food was just ok. The lady making the omelettes forgot our orders. The complimentary drinks / snacks (cubed cheddar cheese, crackers, stale carrots, broccoli were ok. Everything about Embassy Suites was good! From check in to check out. The only thing that was a little strange was the sink from the bathroom is in the bedroom and the pillows were a little strange. The breakfast options seem to be adequate, and the Ami station was really good. It's a little expensive for what you get. read more

This hotel worked because my dad isn't a fan of "interior hallways" that lead to rooms. lol. The guy likes exterior / outdoor corridors that lead to hotel rooms. Claustrophobic much? I've stayed here twice now, and both occasions were pleasant! I can see this being the pitstop while in neighboring areas! It's one of the three things that's totally worth it about Lompoc (while in passing of course) I love, love Embassy Suites by Hilton! Which provides a separation between the bedroom + bathroom (together) and the kitchen + living room (together)! It's tiny, comfortable and well thought out. (The couch is a pull out). This location has superbe customer service! Employees are very courteous, including the cleaning staff which prompted me to tell Mom that management must treat the workers well because everyone took a lot of pride in their work! Breakfast is provided. Mooom got an omelette which they make fresh and we requested that they use a clean pan and the guy was extremely accommodating and very respectful, he went ahead and cleaned out the pan from the meat remnant and made a delicious omelette for my mom (he did the same thing previously for my entire family when we stayed here before! My younger brother communicated to him in Spanish and he was such a gentlemen about it! My Spanish isn't as good so I asked humbly in English last time we went and he responded with the same grace!) 2-3 fire pits downstairs. Tables and chairs in the garden for snacks and food. Stayed for one night and wish I booked the hilton across the street. The gentleman at the front desk was really nice and the free breakfast was better than anything else I have when comparing it with other free breakfasts at Hilton. The bed itself and bathroom were clean but the carpet and sofa were so dirty, you couldn't help but feel like the whole room was dirty. The biggest offense was the old cigarette smell. The room we stayed at must have been a smoking room way back cause it reeked of old musty cigarettes. Location and parking are good - may consider staying again if the hotel gets remodeled but definitely not going back until then. read more

The place is OKAY. It's one of those hotels that smell like chlorine when you walk in. For the most part it's clean and have what you need to get through the day. The breakfast option was kind of limited, but the omelet station was nice. I honestly would probably not stay here again. There was a Hilton Garden Inn half a block away from here. read more

This is a quaint little embassy suites in the Lompoc area. Lompoc is emerging area for some really good wine tasting. Our room was ready way before check in time. We opted for digital key and I was pleasantly surprised to find all my perks as gold membership already in the room! They also left manager's reception drink and breakfast coupons. 3.5 stars Found myself in Lompoc one summer day and overall the stay wasn't bad! Location/ price - lots of food options nearby and for the price point, it isn't bad. Loved all the amenities but couldn't use it all. 1) Daily happy hour with some random crackers/ veggies/ pretzels as snacks along with 2 drink tickets 2) complimentary breakfast 3) swimming pool/ jacuzzi. The hotel had lots of space / 2 TVs, a living space area/ wet bar/ refrigerator/ microwave. (-): -Breakfast items ran out 30+ min before they ended so they didn't bother to refill. Many people were lifting up metal covers to find the pancakes were gone. -some parts of the parking lot was off to the side / to the back. Didn't feel safe parking the car off to the side as it is sort of connected to a nearby shopping center but at least the hotel inside felt safe. Overall I would stay again. read more

Didn't really enjoy the stay. Beautiful receptionist at the front desk who was very professional and gave me great customer service. But as far as the property is concerned I got to give him one two. Only because they had a little arboretum type pond in the middle of the property. The rooms were old and smelled like mildew. I had to change my first room. It was on the other side. It looks like a motel 8 that they just purchased and put the embassy suites sign on. The staff was nice. But the property. The food was okay the breakfast was I give the breakfast at 8:00. But there was some old bread in there that they left in the container overnight for a couple nights and so there was some old on the bagels. And I don't like plastic cups and that's what they were serving libations in. Definite Downer. Refund read more

This is a true three-star hotel. It has good and bad. The daily breakfast was decent and they had a nice selection of breakfast foods including a hot omelette bar. They also have happy hour with free house wine every afternoon which was a nice touch. Moving along to the bad part our room smelled like cigarettes. Additionally, though they advertised daily maid service nobody ever came to clean our room. We went down to the front desk to complain about both issues and the young lady up front said she would have the manager call us and also provide us with Hilton points to make up for the two issues however we've been home for 2 days now and never received a phone call from anyone in management nor did we receive any Hilton points. I think an overall rating of three is the best I can do here as I'm still waiting to hear from the manager. read more

This is probably one of the few Embassy Suites I've stayed where the atrium and the pool are outdoors; and that fact is probably one of the reasons why I would come back - it makes for a QUIET stay without the noise of other guests amplified throughout the entire property (because it ISN'T enclosed). Second reason, LOCATION is in the center of the city where restaurants and major retailers are basically within walking distance. We saw supermarkets nearby as well as a lot of fast food and other local restaurants for a handful of dining options. Ross was also nearby - so, literally any essentials you might need during a short (or long trip) are within reach. SOLVANG, which was the purpose of our stay here, is 20 mins away for what was a very short and stress free drive. Our room was IMPRESSIVELY CLEAN, smelled nice and looked to be recently updated. A little smaller than the usual Embassy Suite rooms we've seen but we didn't mind it. It was a 2 room suite with your standard kitchenette (with fridge and microwave), a desk, living area and a separate bedroom. It was perfectly sufficient! And, as with all Embassy Suite properties - free breakfast is available between 7am to 10am with an omelette station. read more

When we checked in, it was time for happy hour!! Woo hoo! The adults had margaritas and the kids had Shirley Temples! We sat in a lovely courtyard outside. The room was great! It had a living area and a bedroom area. It was nice that the kids had a separate sleeping area. The couch had a pull-out bed, but the kids complained that it was uncomfortable. We were fine with the bed in the bedroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom sink area smelled like a sewer every time we washed our hands. I'm glad we couldn't smell it when we were in bed! The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. There was a cook that served a fresh omelet. There were vegetable and meat choices, and I chose all the veggies and sausage. It was delicious! There were many other options - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, different kinds of pastries, fruits, etc. There were so many choices, but I was satisfied with my omelet. The kids used the swimming pool before we checked out. The pool was too cold for them, so they were in the hot tub most of the time. I rate this hotel a 3.5 stars. The location was very close to gas stations, downtown Lompoc, & hiking spots. It was about 15 min away from wineries & 30 min to Solvang. I was initially debating between booking Hilton garden Inn or this hotel but I ended up choosing this one bc of the complimentary breakfast & Free HH drinks. The room had everything I needed for a 2 night stay. Room & bathroom was clean, had plenty of towels, & good products as far as shampoo, body wash, lotion, etc. I like that the shower head had good flow of hot water which is important to me. The bed was pretty comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a huge plus for husband & I bc it saved us money & time from driving & looking around for places to eat. The breakfast was not bad at all. It included all of your basics needs from fruits to yogurt, omelettes, oatmeal, French toast, bagel, baked potatoes, coffee/tea, etc. HH drinks were just okay. Can't expect high end drinks when it's free. Customer service at the front desk was nice & cordial. They made the Check in/check out process very easy. The cons of this hotel is the walls are thin so you could hear everything from next door & the pillows could've been more comfortable. I wouldn't mind staying here again for the convenience of the location & bc the price wasn't so steep. read more

Lompoc- lovingly referred to as the armpit of California. And supposedly it's prison was mentioned in a Fast & Furious film. Oh and there are some cute flower fields. Fuuunnnn haha. Many people are in town for work. So if you ever find yourself in Lompoc, you gotta stay here! Complimentary Breakfast They have an amazing selection that blew me away. Made to order omelets with bacon, sausage, & veggies. It was so good! Yogurt, granola, oatmeal, fresh fruit, pastries, French toast, pancake, breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, cereals, milk, coffee, orange juice...wow! Blown away by their restaurant. Complimentary Manager Happy Hour Around 5-630pm they offer 2 complimentary alcoholic drinks per person! They have a little bar & lots of seating. They also offer a selection of crackers, cheeses, nachos, & veggies. Nice touch! There's not much around besides fast food so this is a nice touch. Great Suites I was in an executive suite room & it was huge, like the size of an apartment. 2 desks, 2 TVs, a sofa, mini kitchen with sink, fridge & microwave, and a big bed. Very clean & comfortable, especially if you're here for an extended stay. Only downside was that the toilet was very outdated & tiny. Overall Great value & hands down best in the area. Wow wow wow!! I was skeptical at first but boy was I shocked. First, parking is everywhere and it is free and close to the rooms. Restaurants and conveniences stores just feet away. Little Caesar's right next door (literally), apple bees down the street, and the Mexican restaurant down the street is a must try! Second, the host was welcoming and friendly. Walked us through our stay and went through the entire map with us. The hotel decor is beautiful. They have the pool, the hot tub, tables and chairs, and this cute little pond with real frogs omg!! The rooms exceeded my standards. It was clean, coffee, Estes towels and wash clothes, full size shampoo and conditioner, complimentary coffee, microwave, fridge and sinks the beds were really comfortable, the water pressure and temp was perfect and the AC easy to control. Whoever rates this places less than a 4 was the actual problem lmao. What set it over the top was their breakfast. Definitively not an "Embassy Suites" property. This is clearly an old motel/inn that was hurriedly labelled. If you're any familiar with any Hilton properties beyond 3 stars, I guarantee your doubts about this being an "Embassy Suites" will begin to kick in pretty quickly. I have stay at a few Double Tree/Embassy Suites before and this is definitively nowhere near that level. While the staff cannot be responsible for the lack of investment and how old the building is, I feel the blame is squarely on them for not being up to standards with service. Our room has stains on the kitchen chair, sofa, and elsewhere on the various racks and shelves. I think it's fair to say that anyone would begin to question the cleanliness of anything else at this point and that isn't a good thought to have if you want to sleep well. There were no trash bags and the bath soap/shampoo/conditioner containers were completely empty. There is no complaint/fault during my interaction with staff but the Double Trees/Embassy Suites that I've stayed at did have people that were more cheerful and showed me that there is a culture for "going above for guests to feel welcomed" that are trying to be put in placr. Perhaps that created some expectations for me but I also believe a lot of the property-related issues could have been overlooked if the staff had shown that they really tried. read more

I am lodged here to attend a week-long training course in Lompoc California and this has been one of the best hotel accommodations I have ever experienced. The place is clean and orderly, the staff is friendly, and the few problems that were brought to management's attention were quickly resolved. Upon my arrival on Monday morning, I advised guest services the fridge in my room was not cooling low enough to keep frozen items from spoiling. When I returned to my room that day from training, I found they brought a small freezer to keep in my room during my stay. Last night at about midnight, I called the front desk to complain about a neighboring guest talking loudly and banging crap around in the room which was keeping me awake. They resolved this by sending security to contact him and calling his room to warn him to keep the noise down. I didn't hear a peep from the neighbor the rest of the night. The best part about this place is the mobile foot presence of security to deter and keep the bums away at night--and, breakfast. The food here in the morning and is delicious. Coming to the diner was the best way to kick off my day. There is a large variety of breakfast items to pick from and my favorite is the egg/omelet station where the friendly cooks and chefs make your eggs to order. Each of the chefs and cooks that I have encountered has been pleasant and cheerful. The afternoon chef even makes exquisite tasty special off-menu dishes. I still have a few more days before I have to check out and leave, but staying at Embassy Suites has been one of the best parts of my trip. read more

I echo some of the other posters that this property is not representative of the Embassy Suites brand. It's more like a boisterous motel. Rooms are smaller than a typical ES. There seemed to be an event happening at the hotel the weekend we stayed with lots of families with small children. The area for the happy hour and breakfast was extremely crowded. There was one woman working the bar and simultaneously taking food orders so the wait was very long to get a "free" drink. Breakfast appeared (we went elsewhere) similar to lower end hotel breakfast bars but far more chaotic. On the plus side, free parking and easy access. read more

I took my Grandma on the best trip ever. She hadn't been to the beach in decades!!!! So I had to show her what's up, we stayed in this lovely hotel room 306. The hotel allows door dash & offers 2 complimentary drinks per night. Twila (hope I spelled that right) was an absolute doll, the best bartender in the HISTORY!! She put me on the kamikaze better than a mai tai, let me tell you. Well grandmuhmuh stubbed her toe on her cane and was pretty down bad so huge shout out for the front desk letting me borrow the wheel chair real quick. We hope to be back next year read more

This was the most disgusting hotel that I have stayed at in my entire life. Arrived to a hotel that had a broken A/C with a portable A/C hooked up in the 80+ degree scorching and uncomfortable room. This hotel ruined my trip with my wife and 2 children. The carpet and bed were dirty with stains, and the bathtub were disgusting and brown. I didn't even feel safe using the sink to wash my hands. I called the front desk and they said there were no rooms available even though 12 rooms shows up on Priceline. They offered me a fan and brought it which was also disgusting and full of dust.. I didn't even want to use it. I will never go to any Embassy Suites again in my entire life due to the unforgivable horrible experience it was here. read more

First of all, I travel to this city a lot. I live in hotels for weeks at a time. This place used to be a good place to stay. New manager doesn't seem to value business customers at all. Wi-fi has been out in part of the hotel for three days. I had to go to Starbucks to send some work reports. Not what I wanted to do after a 14 hour day. They have promised for two days the wi-fi would be working. Also, cars have been vandalized in the parking lot, for example one of my co-workers had a hole drilled in his car to get the gas out. Destroyed the car, he was thankful it was a rental. Now we are all afraid to park there. Several folks have driven personal cars and are about ready to move hotels so they don't have expensive repair bills. The last time I was here my room had a leak. The hotel was full so they were unable to do anything. They could not provide repairs for two days and wanted me to stay out of the room. I stayed with a co-worker. Did I get a break on the bill? NO! Did I get some extra honors points? NO! Did they offer me anything for my displacement? NO! Manager could have been nice and at least apologized for my inconvenience. But NO! Nothing. The front desk staff was very nice about it, but their hands are tied. Nothing but a text saying sorry for the issue. Perhaps I should have thrown a fit and demanded something. But I realized that the folks at the desk and even the maintenance guys were doing what management would let them. The hotel is old. It's out dated, but I liked staying there because I could relax and enjoy their courtyard. But I also have repaired toilets (replaced the flapper valve) in a few rooms, put up with interior doors and drawers that wouldn't stay shut, had rooms where there was little hot water or leaky plumbing or even sinks and tubs that wouldn't either stop leaking or drain at all. I've had rooms with chairs missing, rooms infested with fruit flies, and rooms where if I walked on the carpet barefoot my feet turned black from the dirt. And it's one of the top two hotels in this small city. I wouldn't recommend this place any longer. If I were you I'd try the other Hilton property in the city. If you are diamond you won't get anything but their shoebox size room no matter what (I suspect the management directs the staff to only upgrade people who pay full price) but at least the property is newer and doesn't require quite as many repairs each trip. When will one of the other big brands build here? With the current selection of hotels in the area they would be full all the time! After our meal, I discreetly took a cab to the Embassy Suites in West Covina and paid our waiter an extra Jackson to hand deliver to Leti a large envelope w/ my car keys + instructions to meet me at the hotel... This was, well, mid February 1997 and our incredible daughter was born nine mos later. Suffice to say that the Embassy Suites own a forever piece of our Family's story! Now! Grab my hand, and JUMP with me 24 years and 4 months later, and voila! You're once again ensconced in a comfortable, spacious Embassy Suites room but .... everything looks EXACTLY as you remember from nearly a quarter century ago! While competitors in the midline hospitality arena like Homewood Suites, Home2Suites or Springhill Suites have all chosen sleek, modern materials & hues to outfit their rooms...the Embassy appears stuck. Kudos to report: Bravo to Chef Nestor and the culinary staff at this location, who graciously assembled two pitch perfect to go breakfasts of 2 egg omelets with luscious cream cheese interiors, turkey sausages and mouth watering homestyle potatoes! We went to get some food at the cafe after we checked in, and were informed that they were closed because the cook had said he was closing early because he "had to come in to make breakfast in the morning." While I understand having to "clopen," there should not be a sacrifice on the customer's part. We weren't able to get food, and had to go somewhere else in the town. I called the 1-800 number to make a quick reservation for immediate occupation, as we were just pulling into town. I easily joined the rewards club, paid for my room, and was on my way to get the key. Once in the lobby, it smelled fresh and clean. The staff was friendly and courteous. Check-in was fairly easy when you have your card and ID ready. Staff is generally pleasant. Free Parking is surrounds the hotels and no issue. Rooms are a bit outdated but spacious. Bathroom consists of toilet and shower but kinda cramped and I'm not a fan of shower curtains. Double sink is in the bedroom. Sometimes the TV works a little funny. Like there's a trick to press the power button twice or something. The dining area is a lot smaller than a lot of other locations, almost a step up from a continental breakfast. The kitchen and food are separate from the dining area. Evening reception is fair--I mean it's "free" booze. Outdoor pool and atrium is decent. This place definitely has somewhat a motel feel to it....could be worse. read more

AC was hooked to the sliding door by painters tape! You could hear all outside noise through the door. This was truly not an ADA room per guidelines that they gave to us. The exterior gate available to anyone in the hotel with slam at all hours of the night in the hotel front desk said that anyone stay in the hotel could walk through it. It has been my experience after certain hour that most people should use the front door and hotel should lock all side gates! read more

I've never been to any Embassy Suites. I'm glad this was a good first even though it was in Lompoc. There's complimentary breakfast that includes omelettes, French toasts, waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage, toast, cereal, muffins, scones, danishes, etc. Also, they have daily free happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Not SPACIOUS!! Not Clean! Yes it is NOISY, you can hear the tv blasting when you sleep because the orientation of the room next door has their TV against your bedroom wall Automatically got congested as it seems moldy air or unkept rugs. When I asked the hours of breakfast, the front desk agent said it's just continental food as if don't bother going. She wasn't selling the place at first impression. Never got my bottle waters as I saw others get them. Disappointing experiencing as I am a Hilton member and generally get good rooms, this didn't feel like a Hilton: the bed wasn't as soft the rugs were very old and the room configuration was odd. Did I mention the rooms are very small!!! There is a sink in your bedroom because they couldn't fit one in your bathroom - yea that small!! Also bathroom smell like sewage leaking. Around the parking it seemed unsafe and a lot of unusual characters walking around or hanging out. I even didn't receive my 2 free bottles of water.
