Oh man, I wish I could give less than a star for this motel. I feel like it took 5 showers to wash this place off of me. We pulled up around 8 pm and the front office was already closed. Um ok? Already, I'm looking at my husband and wanting to beg him to just drive to Solvang which was our destination the next day but I knew he was already tired from driving all day and we had already paid for our stay at this establishment. Reluctantly, we went to the night window and a lady checked us in. She was pleasant enough but I thought it was odd that she was in her pajamas and some fuzzy slippers as she opened up the office for us. She gave us our room key and we hurriedly brought our stuff upstairs as the area was quite sketchy. There's a gas station right next to it and a bunch of drunks are in and out of there, I'm sure. We get into our room and initially it looks fine. But then, as we started to get settled in and wash up, we saw that the towels were threadbare and were very yellowed. I always bring my own toiletries because I'm very picky with what I use on my skin and hair. My husband, however, will sometimes use the toiletries at the places we stay at even though I always pack enough for both of us. He sure didn't here and dug into my bag to use what I packed. He said the soap was super thin and didn't bubble and that the shampoo seemed watered down. The bed was sunken in the middle and so we kept sliding towards each other throughout the night. We just laughed it off and made the best of it but it did make for a squished and slightly uncomfortable night. Breakfast time was a complete fiasco. It was very sparse and there was a guy in the breakfast room just talking to himself and acting very aggressive towards the staff. The attendant barely wanted to be in the dining room and she kept giving him looks and leaving the room. Finally, the lady who had checked us in the night before came in and asked him what room he was in and he yelled out some random number. Needless to say, we didn't stay to eat. My husband rushed me out of there and we went to check out. Again, the office was closed and when we rang the night window, we were instructed to shove the room key under the window. We couldn't get out of there faster. On our way out of the property, we passed another room where I'm pretty sure a drug deal was taking place. The parking lot was littered which we had not seen the night before. If we stopped to look around, I'm sure we would have found needles or something. It's that sketchy. DO NOT STAY HERE! This was our one sour stop on our trip down the coast and we hated every second we were there.

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. To start...shadyyyy location! A shame knowing there are such beautiful areas nearby. Room small, not like pictures. Bed size did not seem like a queen, more like a double. Boyfriend said the bed probably runs a close 2nd in comfort to a prison mattress. Could hear crunching of mattress topper or plastic covering. Weird. Afraid to look under bed to be honest. No doubt drug dealing was going on in adjacent room. Woman living in car in parking lot. Bathroom smelled like sewage/urine. Shower water went all over floor due to poor location/ construction of shower placement. Shower floor very unclean. Had to purchase flup flops to feel like we weren't going to catch anything. Only plus...tv worked! For almost $200 a night...what a total rip! Embarrassing!

My SIL booked this hotel for a sister getaway because their grandpa helped build the mission here in Lompoc. This hotel is scetchy and not maintained at all. It seems maybe people live here. Some guest had dogs roaming around using the parking lot as their toilet without picking it up. It looked like drug deals being made. The inside bathroom was nasty and the towels were stained! Woke up this am to water noises and going to the bathroom the upstairs is leaking into the shower!

Just move on to another motel. This place has decent reviews and I have no idea why?? Its just gross. Lady at front desk answers morning calls half asleep and actually questioned why I would call and verify my reservations to my face at check in while in her pajamas. Room smells like crap carpet is filthy etc. Look at photos. Also as we left there was a dirty homeless man checking in. We checked out next day and moved to Emabassy suits & lost put on money.

Not worth the expense, we were way overcharged and underserved. Pool is nice - but the rooms not very clean and poor customer service.

It's one of the three things that's totally worth it about Lompoc (while in passing of course) I love, love Embassy Suites by Hilton! Which provides a separation between the bedroom + bathroom (together) and the kitchen + living room (together)! It's tiny, comfortable and well thought out. (The couch is a pull out). This location has superbe customer service! Employees are very courteous, including the cleaning staff which prompted me to tell Mom that management must treat the workers well because everyone took a lot of pride in their work! Breakfast is provided. Mooom got an omelette which they make fresh and we requested that they use a clean pan and the guy was extremely accommodating and very respectful, he went ahead and cleaned out the pan from the meat remnant and made a delicious omelette for my mom (he did the same thing previously for my entire family when we stayed here before! My younger brother communicated to him in Spanish and he was such a gentlemen about it! My Spanish isn't as good so I asked humbly in English last time we went and he responded with the same grace!) 2-3 fire pits downstairs. Tables and chairs in the garden for snacks and food. I loved how the bigger rooms/suites were in a separate building. I loved how conveniently assigned our room was to the doors/elevator. I know hotels tend to place families near them. The elevator was slow, but our halls were quiet. I felt like we were the only ones staying in our building and maybe we were. lol The breakfast room wasn't too far a walk, as it was in the same building near the pool. You need a key to get in there which I liked! Sometimes you don't want random people eating for free you know. Breakfast was a fully breakfast, and the lady kept everything clean and coming out. However, she was slow to refill and the eggs and bacon were a little oddly cooked. Like some of the thinnest bacon I've ever seen and the eggs were kind of rubbery. I did like the blueberry waffle mix though. And the fountain drinks were nasty! Checkin was smooth and the older black lady who helped us is super helpful and nice! They had the lobby festively decorated too for the holidays! Price was great for the sized room we have. Had a kitchenette, two bedrooms with tvs, two full baths, and another tv couch space next to the kitchenette. Rooms were decently cleaned, but the carpet was old and sunken in. Next to the dmv which I found odd, but wasn't too far from solvang which was the only reason we were in town!

She was kind of chaotic in the check in process, flipping through papers, and asking redundant questions about the card I put in file. She then put us in a dirty room and when we came back to get the room changed, instead of being apologetic, she was seemingly annoyed. Whatever, not a huge deal since we got put in a different room. Then after I got home from my trip, I realized I was double charged. I called the hotel and the gentleman I spoke to said it should be resolved, which I trusted. Fast forward to today, I have family staying at this hotel, so I drove up to visit them. I decided to check my bank statement and sure enough, the double charge is still on my bank statement. Cindy, the receptionist at the front, who was the same one who assisted me in April, was incredibly rude and again, acted bothered when I asked if she could help me look into this. I began to try to explain the situation to her and instantly she said "I can't do refunds," and then told me to write down my name, phone number, and email, because her manager was the only one who could help me. When I asked her when I should expect to hear back, she was very snarky with her response, stating she didn't know her managers schedule. On top of that, she roomed one of my family members in a dirty room, and they had to come to the front desk to ask to be put in a clean room... Working in hospitality, I'm sure has its challenges, but her consistent attitude toward people and her inability to efficiently manage rooming guests in clean rooms, which should be the absolute bare minimum expectation, should really be addressed. Hopeful that the manager will resolve their error in double charging me in April and address the staffs behavior to improve future guest experiences.

Unfortunately, the condition of the room was far from what I expected. To start with the positives, both the evening and morning front desk associates were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, that was where the good experience ended. The room itself was in very poor condition. The lampshades were visibly dirty, and one even appeared to have what looked like a speck of blood on it. There was a thick layer of dust--about an inch--on the back side of the TV, which made it clear that the room hadn't been properly cleaned in quite some time. One of the "clean" towels had visible skid marks on it, which was honestly shocking and unacceptable. It didn't stop there--there was mold above the door and also on the bathroom wall. Then, upon checking out in the morning, I noticed a tissue hanging from the ceiling in the shower. That was the final straw. I did inform the front desk associate when I checked out, but I'm still stunned at the overall state of the room. This goes beyond a simple oversight--it reflects a serious lack of upkeep and attention to cleanliness. I hope Red Roof Inn takes a closer look at this location and invests in the maintenance and sanitation it clearly needs. Guests should not have to question basic cleanliness when staying at a hotel.

It is a pleasant place with a lot of scum and cold water year it's a lot better than this place Not to mention the owner or manager. Bindi is one hell of a gal she likes to be confrontational and last time we were here and complained about our cable being out then she proceeded to have her maintenance man who looks like he just got out of prison yesterday with a joker tattoo on his face and teardrops on his other cheek he came to my room mind you I am a middle-aged white woman staying by myself so he comes up at 12 o'clock wanting to say that the Front Desk need to proof of my payment which I had paid for it was in my credit card and then two hours later, he comes knocking again saying that they didn't get paid and that since I went through Priceline, they don't like that at the front desk they wanna get paid immediately and I said I paid and so he left and then came back again at 2:45 in the morning and said that the Front Desk needed proof again well I don't know why that broad didn't call me on the phone instead he had to keep on interrupting me. It was so uncomfortable. I couldn't feel like I could change and go take a shower because I was afraid this fool was gonna come in again and knock on the door so the third time I showed him my bank statement with the withdrawal from red roof in showing that I paid and they are finally satisfied with that. Well I wasn't satisfied it was the noisiest grossest room I've ever stayed in and they had no hot water. She also told me that if she had checked me in that night, she would've kicked me out because I use Priceline and they don't like Priceline because they have to wait a couple days to get paid.
