    The Rockefeller Oysters

Black owned brewery, the owner was friendly and helpful. They had a peach flavored brew I'm not sure if it's seasonal. They have specials I think everyday. Street parking everywhere, just be prepared to wear comfortable shoes if you park a few blocks away. Great place to watch live games or boxing matches. Loved all the different grilled oyster options. Good bar food overall.

Hippin Hops is a great little spot in East Atlanta, I've been there twice, both for events. They have a lot of events for the community, all with free entry. The wine and beer lists are diverse, with something for every taste. I had the sweet red and I really enjoyed it; If I wasn't heading out of town the following day I would've purchased a bottle of it. I ordered the oyster trio; everything was hot and fresh and the oysters were delicious. They were large and stuffed to the brim. The restaurant was crowded because of the event, but the staff was hustling to get everyone their food on time. I would stop in again if I was in the area and bar hopping.

Hippin hops is such a hidden gem. It's been around for a bit but under new management since I've last come around. LaMont is an attentive owner who is very knowledgeable about the business he runs. I came in for happy hour and he was willing to give me suggestions and answer any questions I had. The oysters are the star of the menu! I decided to go with the Ultimate Trio sampler with the bottom of the bayou, shrimp boss, and crawdaddy as my selections. They were amazing! I also did an order of the Cajun shrimp deviled eggs - also amazing. The setup inside was really chill and laid back. The playlist they had going had me adding new songs to my library. I encourage you to check out their social media, they have regular events and specials. I'll definitely be back!

Was craving crawfish and I didn't want a seafood boil or any crawfish in the shell as a whole, so a quick search brought me here. Cajun crawfish egg rolls sounded intriguing, so I ordered two orders since they only come with two egg rolls, but they also looked smaller than they actually were. I also got the bottom of the bayou oysters to top it all off. Neither had that wow factor to them nor would I need to try them again, but they weren't bad.

Excellent Food!. Nice chill vibe. This place going to blow up on Sundays for Brunch. I will be back next weekend.

Found this place on yelp pretty good Rockefeller Oysters Catfish Nuggs and Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs everything was hot and good i definitely would recommend it and go again

came her for a dating event and ordered food while waiting. ordered the crawfish rolls (2 rolls split in half was the portion) and Cajun fries. it was decent but i expected a little bit more flavour and seasoning on both of the orders. Would have appreciated salt and pepper shakers at the tables and maybe extra Cajun seasoning so one can add to their taste buds.

Apparently they have a Happy hour even though it's not well advertised... Meaning that they don't have flyers up or any kind of notation on their tables that there's a happy hour going on and it's not on their website. But as it turns out their beers and seltzer were all half price and their appetizers. The appetizers are pretty hefty and price for what you get but if you look at their main entrees they are really a terrific deal relatively. 17 bucks for fried fish and grits which was filling and delicious, compared to $15 for four shrimp or $18 for five oysters. They make the food on site which is not that common for a little microbrews. Everything was hot and fresh. They had one server who was hustling and doing a great job, and one bartender. The place was not very crowded given they had a happy hour. Because they don't do very good job of marketing and they have such high priced food. Not the kind of place that people hang out at. I was there for a group event so there was about 15 of us and we had no problem finding tables together. There is one couple where the woman was a loud talker, And I guess the high ceilings really amplified it cuz it was hard for our group to hear our speaker over her trying not to be super loud for the rest of the people. I would definitely drop in there again if I was in the area and bar hopping. The little Mexican taco place next door also has happy hour food and drink.

Get ready for great good and a great time here! We were greeted with a welcoming Hello! and warm atmostphere! We started with their Buzz Punch and the rest was easy and pleasin' from there (LOL). The catfish nuggets were hot, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The small bites were delicious... chicken wings were cooked well and so tasty! The deviled eggs were crowned with crispy shrimp... yum!!! The Catfish Po Boy was a nice portion and so filling! We did a flight of plump oysters. All this excellence while listening to live music by the talented #mariamatatum .. wow! Loved this experience! We look forward to returning to our new hittin' Hippin' Hops Spot! 1308 Glenwood Ave. SE Atlanta, GA 30316 https://www.hippinhopsbrewery.com/about-us-1

Amazing cute spot! We went on a Saturday for date day and were greeted/seated immediately. Our server worked behind the bar was very attentive. The inside is so cute and lively. I loved the TVs and overall look. Hubz and I both tried the flights. I was a fan of both the slushies and So Peachy. Peachy Panther wasn't my favorite but it wasn't bad. We definitely want to come back and we walked around the area after eating. I want to come back with friends. I've already sent it to a few people I know!

I must say Hippin hop was a vibe. The food was on point, those jerk tacos hit the spot. Stop by and tell them Antonio told you to.

The restaurant was recently rebranded and I was curious to see what was new. I stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in. Seating was open at the time and Noah, who was both the bartender and our server, greeted us with water right away. I have never been impressed by a casual restaurant's menu design before, but The Pub at EAV truly stands out. It is well thought out and visually appealing. I had been eyeing the tom yum wings for a while and ordered them as an appetizer. They were flavorful and served hot. The restaurant also provides complimentary house made pickles, and they were genuinely good. For my drink, I tried the Sneaky Link cocktail. Noah added muddled strawberries because it was a fresh batch and needed a little balance. I would honestly recommend keeping the strawberries as part of the drink because it turned out delicious. For entrées, we ordered the Heck Fire Burger and chose to have the bread served shareable style. They bake their bread in house and it is so good that they could easily offer a bread service option on its own. We also tried the lamb shank which was tender and very well prepared. The only disappointment of the entire evening was the bread pudding. It was recommended with a lot of enthusiasm which made me excited to try it. I ordered it to go and reheated it at home. Unfortunately, it tasted freezer burnt and slightly cross contaminated, almost as if it had absorbed the flavor of another item nearby. I am not a picky eater, but I could only take a couple of bites. Overall, The Pub at EAV is a great addition to the neighborhood. The service was excellent, the food was exciting and creative, and I will definitely return to try more dishes.

The pub provided a bingo sheet for all of us to complete and I was able to enjoy some fish and chips while filling it in! The food was lovely and much above your average pub feast. The fish and chips were available in sharing or solo size. I went for the sharing to split with my guest and it was the perfect amount of food for both of us (with some appetizers before hand). We also went for the pickles and edamame. The pickles had a unique tang to them that any beer lover would love. The edamame was covered in a delicious chili garlic oil and had some crunch to each bite with the cilantro and dried spices on top. I would definitely come back here for the food alone. They do theme nights other than survivor so make sure to checkout their Instagram page to see if one of their watch party events is up your alley! Thanks to Sherry and the staff at EAV for a new fav Atl spot!

There's a large drinks menu that I can't comment on a teetotaler. I would've preferred a couple more non-alcoholic options, but I was able to get a flavored soda water so I didn't feel completely left out. The starters were the star of the menu to me. I had a great time ordering and sharing with my party, trying a bit of everything. Everything was delicious and beautiful. My single critique is that I wanted more of several items which is hardly a critique at all. Unfortunately I was somewhat let down by the vegan main which was a risotto with seasonal veg. The flavor was a little thin and it felt like a bit of an after thought compared to the other mains at my table. While I'm glad there's a vegan option, I'm not actually vegan! I just wanted the seasonal veg made to the chef's preference and was disappointed with the result. Everyone else at the table was thrilled with their meals though! The pasta was fresh and the ragu was so flavorful. I also got to try the scallop ravioli and the potato parfait that came with the strip steak--all of it was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. As we were leaving, we noticed they were setting up a DJ booth for some live music. It looks like a really fun spot, and we can't wait to go back!
